Time: Between 3:00 a.m. – 3:30 a.m.
At first I thought there was a thunderstorm occurring, but all of a sudden a bright orange light broke through the clouds and lit the clouds up and seemed to hover for a while, then it disappeared.
Then another one broke through the clouds, anyways I researched it, and I think it was Canadian military flares, they apparently use these flares for the Canadian navy to light up the sky to practice military maneuvers, any confirmation of this?

Facebook wouldn't let me send this link to friends who saw something very strange Dec. 5 between 2 and 3am, over lake Ontario. And it didn't sound like military flares because the light after dropping down out of the clouds and hovering for a while, moved to the left. Then when another light dropped out of the clouds the first one blinked out. The second moved to the left after hovering under the big cloud it came out of. This whole thing repeated 14 times.
