Two Blinking Red Lights In The Sky Between Westlock And Barrhead Counties Alberta Canada

Date:  December 6, 2021

Time:  Approximately 7:00 p.m.

This was my Facebook post when I got home that evening.

"I saw the strangest thing, just coming up to my driveway tonight! Two red blinking lights in the sky right above the property.

It hard to say how far apart they were, but pretty close. They looked to be about cell tower height in the air, hovering, with no audible sound.

I have never seen anything like it before. I got out to listen to see if it was 2 helicopters travelling in perfect synchronization, but no sound. No other lights or anything, just 2 red blinking lights.

It/they eventually, and very slowly travelled towards the west. Anyone have any kind of idea of what the hell it was? I’m stumped.

I live in Northern Alberta, between Westlock and Barrhead counties. The flashing red lights were moving very slowly, northwest, in the direction towards Barrhead. This was around 7pm, coming home from work.

Additional Information: Thus far, I have not heard about anyone else seeing what I saw, only my neighbor down the road telling me that her dogs were going really crazy about something outside, enough that it made her very scared.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Two Bright Red/White Flashing Lights Over Huntsville Ontario Canada

I never posted this report.

Date:  September 1, 2021.

Time:  12:30 a.m.

Hey, I just saw something like this tonight over Huntsville, Ontario Canada.

Very similar sounding though in the Eastern sky at about 12:30 a.m. (September 1, 2021). Two bright red flashing lights moving in strange way keeping same distance from one another then changing direction.

Flashing bright red (and white) and then eventually moving further away together. My thought was that I was seeing a UFO for the very first time.

Blue/White Lights Flowing Through the Night Sky Over Kamloops British Columbia Canada (Pictures)

This sighting I did not post until now.

Date:  November 28, 2021

Time:  Approxamtlty 5:50 p.m.

As you have most likely noticed, I am not taking anymore UFO reports at least for now. But on November 28, 2021 I was out walking my German Shepard/Corgi at approxamtlty 5:50 p.m. when I looked across the Thompson River and over the city was blue/white lights streaking through the night sky.

Actually it was really cool to watch, which I did for a number of minutes. Now knowing there are different things going on around the city I wondered what they could have been.

After a few seconds of watching them, I soon realized the cause was most likely a laser light show or search lights. So it wasn't Aliens/UFOs or anything else weird, just plain old lights being shone upward into the night sky.

Still pretty cool though.

Strange Lights Seen In Sky Over Dundas

 Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

(January 13, 2010)

Did you see something strange Friday night?

A British Columbia UFO chronicler and paranormal expert is reporting eyewitness accounts of strange vertical lights in the sky over Dundas and Waterdown.

Brian Vike, who heads his own HBCC Centre for UFO Research, says on his blog The Vike Factor the lights were seen around 8 o'clock.

One witness told Vike he and five friends were out for a walk and watched vertical lights in the sky for 30 minutes, a throbbing orange one which faded in and out and a second red vertical one.

The witness says one light had a circle opening in it which looked like an eye. Then the red lights faded after five more minutes, he said.

"As we looked down the escarpment, we could see a curved line of vertical white lights in the sky above us leading down," he said.

"Also around the same time there was white flashing light in the sky.

"It was a flash of bright white light (which) looked as if it was in mid air but because it was dark, we couldn't tell if there was an actual source or not, (because) if there was it'd have to be in the harbour."

Hamilton police were not aware of any calls reporting strange lights in the sky over Dundas Friday night.

Another witness tells Vike he was driving between Waterdown and his Dundas home when he saw three orange vertical lights that seemed to originate from a source close to the ground, go up through a clouded area and on up into the sky.

The witness thought they could be "light pillars," a visual atmospheric phenomenon created by the reflection of light from ice crystals from a light source such as the sun or moon, but they are not usually seen from several viewpoints.

6 To 10 Orange Lights In The Night Sky Over Sarasota Florida

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  December 8, 2014

Time:  Approxamtlty 7:20 p.m.

Hi there, tonight around 7:20 p.m. I jumped in my car to go somewhere and I spotted about 6 to 10 orange lights in the sky. I was at I-75 and Clark road in Sarasota, Florida.

They were coming south and heading westward. They began to disappear behind some clouds. They kind of looked like the lanterns that people release and let go as they looked like pulsating flames.

As I drove in my car I began to see more. A neighbor of mine also saw them as I jumped out of my car to try to take a picture, which failed.

I don't know this neighbor, he stopped and saw them too as he saw me out of my car looking up at the sky and he said, “what are those” UFO, and I replied with I don't know.

Did anyone else see these? I never have seen anything like it as they seemed to be traveling closely together and sometimes lining up.

Hmmmmmm. What do you think?

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Unknown Lights Circling Overhead In Covington Kentucky

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  May 6, 2014

Time:  3:30 a.m.

I woke up with terrible heartburn around 3:30 a.m. on May 6, 2014, so I went outside to sit on my front porch to have a cigarette.

The leaves were starting to bloom on the trees at that time of year, so they were not empty, yet not full. I noticed something that looked like a spotlight in the sky passing through the trees.

The light was dim light a flashlight, but much bigger, and it did not have any beams stemming from the sky or the ground. As I studied this light, I saw it moving, in a steady pace through the opening of the trees, counter-clockwise, full circle, then clockwise, but the clockwise seemed to start at the half-way point.

So, it would do 1 full circle counter-clockwise, then 1 half circle clockwise, with the clockwise not starting from where the counter-clockwise ended. It seemed to be very low and could have covered the distance of 2-3 houses on my street.

It was right above me. I sat out there for about 30 minutes and this continued the whole time. I studied the neighborhood as well to make sure the light wasn't coming from the top of a neighbor's house, and it wasn't. I went back to bed baffled.

The next day I decided to walk across the street and then go into my back yard to try to determine the diameter that this light was hovering, and my guess was right, 2-3 houses.

I only wish I would have had the nerve to go into the back yard as I witnessed this because there is a huge clearing back there. I later asked the local police department, that is located just a couple of blocks away, if they were aware of any sort of motion lights in the neighborhood, and they were not aware of any, nor were any of the neighbors.

It couldn't have been a motion light anyway, there were no beams. I'm still baffled. I keep thinking it could've been the lights that trim the bottom of an unidentified craft, and that I couldn't see the craft because of the trees. Never know.

Please let me know if there are any other similar sightings, it would help put my mind at ease.

Thank You.

Three Bright Lights At The Bottom Of A UFO Over Southern Trace Shreveport Louisiana

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  July 2014

Time:  Approxamtlty 10:00 p.m.

Yes I have see what I thought was something strange. It didn't seem like a airplane. We see airplanes all the time flying over. There is usually a red light with airplane. This object had 3 very, very white bright lights. Kind of making a triangle.

I live in Southern Trace, Louisiana and we saw this about 10:00 p.m. My daughter and husband and I were on the golf cart, taking a night ride in the Summer (in July 2014). What is strange is that I didn't hear anything. Like a plane above, but as we drove on golf cart path, all the sudden the bugs had gotten so loud, I felt like everything in the woods next to us was making noise.

I looked up and there were 3 lights of the under carriage of something. Not a plane and it was only about 40-50 above our heads. We were close to small pond.

It seemed to want to get as far down to the pond as possible, but sped off at super speed. I did get a picture.

Because the incident bothered me and I had thought about it a few days later just my husband and I went on late night golf cart ride at the same time and we saw it again.

I got it on video this time.

I haven't seen the object since September though.

Lights In The Night Sky Over Cave Creek Arizona (Pictures)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Date: Early 2005

Time:  Evening.

Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: I have the video footage somewhere, but I just can’t find it, and I do not want to pull out files that have been packed away for some time. But I am posting pictures from the video clip.

Here in Phoenix the activity is increasing and a fellow by the name Josh has been taping incredible lights appearing and seemingly taking off at great speeds.

On the Josh video, from what I understand the video was one of many shot in Cave Creek, Arizona just North of Phoenix.

It was a clear night and no winds. I have received another email from a resident living up there who have seen the lights and they say they show up often, but never that bright.

I also received an email wondering if they were airplanes, but then that would mean there were 5 or 6 planes turning their lights on at the same time and then turning them off, unlikely, especially at that location.

I also found out the distance from house to object (s) may have been several miles away, but seemed much closer like a few miles away.

Probably hard to tell at night. It was close enough that if they were planes you should be able to hear them.

No-one knows what the lights are. It may be the Phoenix Lights all over again, but maybe they never left.

Hope this helped.

Disc Shaped Lights Over Lake Bluff Illinois

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: November 28, 2008

Time: 6:20 - 7:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: My 2nd floor window facing west, my backyard, my car.

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 2

Shape of objects: Disc shaped lights, very bright and dense.

Full Description of event/sighting: This sighting began as I was looking out the window while on the phone. I noticed two lights, I got off the phone and immediately grabbed the binoculars.

The lights appeared to be disc shaped, not round or star-like, but it was impossible to be sure from the distance. At times it seemed they dimmed and then got brighter. I then went outside to get a better look.

The top light was dimmer than the bottom one. They were both significantly lower than any other stars in the sky. There is a lot of light pollution in the area so I could tell they were extremely bright.

The lights moved so slowly that they appeared stationary. I kept an eye on them for the next half an hour and they were starting to slowly make their way west. I got in my car with a friend and we watched them on our way out to the highway. It was at this point they finally moved out of site after roughly an hour of watching them.

I would also like to mention on ufostalker.com right now, half of the 20 most recent events are sightings of the exact same thing (including my report to mufon). The ones with pictures confirm that I and my friend, saw the same thing. Something was going on last night all across the United States.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

5 To 6 Lights Flying In Formation Above Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: November 26, 2008

Time: 8:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Castlefin Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. (Suburb of Philadelphia).

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 5-6

Shape of objects: Grouping of 5 to 6 very bright, perfectly round white lights moving close together in some sort of formation.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was in the car with my Dad, driving back to my parents house the night before Thanksgiving when, on a residential back road about a street away from their house I couldn't help but notice a grouping of 5 to 6 extremely bright white lights that appeared to be flying very close to the ground in close formation but at times the lights would group ever closer together.

The street is heavily wooded but I had no problem following the lights until they all clumped together to make one light and just disappeared.

My Dad who was driving saw it without even having to stop the car.

Bright Lights In The Valley

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

By Andrew Hudson.

Interior News.

Brian Vike is one of the best-known UFO watchers in Canada. Google “red orange light” and his Vike Factor blog pops up.

A boy across the street from Brian Vike’s house was tilting a new-looking telescope at the moon.

Chances are, he saw what any budding stargazer would expect to see—eye-popping views of the massive lava basins and colossal impact craters that scar the lunar surface.

But if Vike’s young neighbour ever spots something strange in the Bulkley Valley sky, something he can’t explain, he won’t have to go far to make a UFO report.

“Just what I need,” said Vike, laughing.

Brian Vike is one of the best-known UFO watchers in Canada. Google “red orange light” or “large circular UFO” and his Vike Factor blog pops up in the top results.

The site lists 1,712 sightings reports for last year alone.

“Most people, I really do believe, are genuine,” Vike said.

“Their seeing something doesn’t mean it’s extraterrestrial or anything like that. But they are seeing something, and what is it?”

In one report dated New Year’s Day, a man from Duncan, B.C. told Vike that his girlfriend had repeatedly told him about the pairs of “strange orbs” she had seen glowing red and orange in the sky.

“I thought she was off her rocker until last night when I seen this myself,” he wrote to Vike.

“We watched in awe trying to figure out what they could possibly be. An airplane or a helicopter always has beacon lights—these did not!”

Vike said reports come in waves, and it’s not unheard of to get 300 a week.

“It’s amazing stuff, but most of it’s explainable,” Vike said. A lot of the glowing “orbs” turn out to be Chinese paper lanterns—thin paper lanterns that can float up hundreds of feet in the air on the heat of a tiny candle.

In fact, Vike said that lantern “sightings” have become a bit of a nuisance since more and more people in Western countries have started lighting them for weddings and holidays.

Some people get a little upset to hear that their UFO sighting might be nothing more than a hot paper bag.

“You don’t want to tell too many people that because they’ll start cursing at you,” said Vike, laughing.

Standing six feet tall and wearing a plain black baseball cap, it’s hard to imagine anyone getting upset with Vike.

He has a friendly, funny manner that would make him a shoe-in for one of the Lone Gunmen—the squad of amateur conspiracy busters who used to make cameos on The X-Files TV show.

But before he flies off into science fiction, Vike has to check off a list of real-world possibilities for every new UFO report.

That’s the idea, he said—to try and help people discover what they saw.

Vike often starts with websites like Heavens Above, which posts real-time tracking data for satellites, the International Space Station, space shuttle flights and visible meteor passes.

On New Year’s Eve, for example, Vike got a string of UFO sightings from across Arizona, New Mexico and southern Colorado that seemed to follow in the wake of a brightly burning meteor.

Vike also tries to follow launch times at big air bases like the Vandenberg air force base in northern California.

“They’ll send up a lot of rockets, space satellites, and military hardware,” Vike said.

“A lot of people are interested in that alone.”

Many people who stumble on Vike’s website report things they saw years ago. From 1993, Vike noticed a wave of sightings are most likely from people who saw F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighters flying low over North America to fight in the first Gulf War.

“I had a whole whack of reports of triangles coming in along their flight path,” he said.

Military jets, northern lights, space junk and comets—those are all sightings that even alien hopefuls aren’t likely to be disappointed in.

But Vike said it’s easy to be caught off guard by much more Earthly things.

Vike said he once a V-shaped something fly over his home in Houston. He got pretty excited before he heard wings and realized it was a flock of geese.

“At night time, you get town or city lights and they’re low enough that the lights hit their bellies and you get that big V-shape,” he said, laughing.

Still, other reports don’t lend themselves to easy explanation.

This January, a crew from the Canadian Discovery Channel will speak with Vike on camera about a “missing time” case.

Two Kelowna women told Vike that on July 31, 2003, they were walking a dog along a lake and saw three strange lights in the sky. The lights came together in a triangle shape, they said, before dropping and hovering over the highway.

“They claim that they had missing time, and the next morning bruising, bleeding noses,” he said. “And they’ve been very sick since.”

What is really interesting about the Kelowna case, Vike said, is that it is one of many strange reports that followed the terrible number of forest fires in the Okanogan that year.

Despite slowing down a bit, and shutting down a larger website that was getting some 2.5 million hits a month, Vike is still in high demand for his UFO expertise.

For years, he has fielded calls from the likes of CBC and BBC radio, the Discovery Channel and others.

“I just spent more time on this than anything else,” he said. “I think that’s why it kept moving along.”

Fifty years ago, Vike said he was just like the boy across the street, armed with a 50 mm Sears telescope from his parents and a boundless curiosity.

“Yep—I always look in the sky,” he said.

“You never know what you’re going to see.”

Did You See The Ahwatukee Lights?

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

By Allison Hurtado.

Ahwatukee Foothills News.

Just over a month after the anniversary of the Phoenix Lights some mysterious lights appeared over Ahwatukee Foothills.

I didn’t see the lights myself, but Ahwatukee Foothills resident Laurie Elle did and she did her best to snap photos and video before the lights disappeared.

Laurie said it was Saturday, March 24 when she saw the lights. She was sitting in her front room working on Facebook and getting ready to leave for the night. When she opened her door she saw some strange moving lights near Pecos Road.

The lights were flashing red and moving from west to east in clusters of about 10. Laurie says the lights were very close but they made no noise.

As someone who grew up with a dad in the military and later married an airplane technician, Laurie said she would be someone to recognize an airplane or helicopter and that’s not what this was.

“I just cannot figure it out,” Laurie said. “How could something be so low and so close and make no noise? It was just incredible.”

Laurie wasn’t the only one to see the lights. A posting on ufoworldnews.com tells the story of several orange-red lights seen moving from west to east over Ahwatukee around the same time.

The poster saw six to eight lights in a formation first, then more lights lower on the horizon in no apparent formation moving much quicker.

“In all, I believe I saw approximately 18 lights moving around the sky,” the post said. “What we saw did not seem to fit with anything that any of us had seen before. These lights did not match the videos of the original Phoenix Lights… These objects weren’t following any of the usual airline traffic patterns and did not have the same lights as commercial aircraft. We could see other aircraft coming in to approach Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and other regional airports at the time of this sighting, and these lights were in a very different area, displaying different colors, and behaving very differently.”

I asked the Federal Aviation Association about the lights and Ian Gregor, spokesperson for the FAA, said they had not observed any unusual aircraft in the area.

He didn’t offer any guesses of his own as to what the lights could have been.

Brian Vike, who runs his own blog documenting strange sightings (http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.ca), said so far in his research he hadn’t seen anything about the lights over Ahwatukee on March 24, but that he’s seen a rise in sightings recently.

“I might have something in the inboxes, but I am so swamped with sighting reports it isn’t funny coming from worldwide,” Vike wrote in an email. “Seems we can post anywhere from 10 to well over 20 sighting reports per day.

“So far in 2012, this is for January, February and March, we have posted 1,179 and there is still close to 70 to 80 reports to get to. For some unknown reason, sightings are up over every kind of object you can think of.”

Vike encourages anyone who has seen something to tell him about it through his email, houstonbri7@gmail.com.

So with a rise in sightings worldwide, is there something going on or just more paranoia?

Laurie said if it was something strange flying over Ahwatukee on March 24, it was nothing to be feared.

“It was peaceful,” she said. “If it was them, then they didn’t do anything. They were in a hurry, they were quick, checking things out, and then they were gone, and I just watched. There was nothing scary about it.”

Strange Lights Over Cloverdale

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

By Jennifer Lang.

CloverdaleReporter.

UFO expert says Surreyites saw something unexplained in the skies over Cloverdale this Christmas.

A couple of nights before Christmas Eve a Cloverdale man and his son were driving home along 60 Avenue west from 176 Street in Surrey when they were distracted by some unusual lights in the sky near their house.

The driver pulled over, grabbed his cell phone, and immediately started recording, hoping to capture the strange sight on video.

His Dec. 22 footage – since posted to YouTube – shows several clusters of bright, white lights that appear to change pattern and move against an inky black sky.

“That can’t be planes,” the witness says, his voice tinged with wonder and curiosity.

“Do you see them there?” he continues.

“Some are moving sideways. See that one that was just flashing? What the hell? That’s above our area. This is in Cloverdale,” he remarks incredulously.

It seems there was something unusual over the Surrey skies over the Christmas holidays, but it wasn’t Santa’s sleigh.

As many as nine different eyewitnesses reported seeing strange white and orange lights over Cloverdale between Christmas and New Years Eve, according to B.C.’s premier UFO researcher, Brian Vike.

The Surrey sightings were part of a much larger wave of UFO reports that flooded his email inbox over the Yuletide season.

“All of a sudden, everything started popping up and flying every which way, almost all at once,” he said, adding reports came in from B.C., the U.S., U.K., and even Australia and South Africa.

It’s all fascinating stuff for Vike, an astronomy buff who first began looking into UFO phenomena and other mysteries in 2000.

These days, he runs a blog called The Vike Factor from his home in Houston, B.C., 800 kms northeast of Vancouver, collecting and investigating reports from all over the world.

Normally, most sightings can be explained; stars, planets, aircraft, satellites, and meteors can be all mistaken for UFOs, which he believes was the case with a rash of colourful New Year’s Eve sightings that came in from Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

Chinese paper lanterns – which can float high into the sky on the heat of a candle – are increasingly popular among celebrants on holidays and weddings, leading him to caution that a number of the nearly 400 reports he’s sorting through from Dec. 22 to Jan. 8 can probably be explained.

But so far, the veteran UFO chaser is stumped by the Cloverdale sightings. “How do you explain these other orange lights going off in other directions? What the heck is it? We just don’t know.”

He sporadically receives reports from Surrey, but never so many in a short time frame.

“In Surrey, Cloverdale, definitely, that was an influx in sightings for whatever reason,” he said. They include a Dec. 22 report from a jogger who was running along 60 Avenue near 171 Street and saw six orange lights.

More reports followed on New Years Eve, when a group of revelers went outside at midnight with the kids to make noise and light sparklers and all saw orange lights in a line zooming at intervals across the sky.

For now, Vike hasn’t determined what the true explanation may be, but he doubts they were paper lanterns or even weather balloons. “They just don’t fit this sighting.” Maybe the answer lies in the simple fact that people take time off over the holidays, and are traveling at night to socialize.

“They have more time to sit back, they’re more relaxed and have more time to look up. It’s the same when summer time gets here.”

The Cloverdale man who took the Dec. 22 YouTube footage told the Reporter Wednesday he doesn’t think the lights he captured using his cellphone were extra terrestrial in origin.

He doubts they were aircraft of some kind – there was no engine or propeller noise, for example. Plus, the lights appeared quite low in the sky, below a layer of low-lying cloud cover that evening.

“They were too close [to the ground] to be stars,” he said. “It didn’t look like planes.”

The episode lasted about 10 minutes, he said.

At around 9:30 p.m. that evening, dozens of lights appeared in the sky to the north of 60 Avenue near 168 Street and moved south towards Highway 10.

“At first they seemed to be in a line and they were moving,” he said. The lights then slowed and some stopped, setting into motion again once he’d turned on his cell phone camera.

In coming forward with his sighting, the man is hoping someone will be able to identify what he – and the other people who stopped their cars along 60 Avenue to watch – saw that night.

“I hope someone has an explanation.”

Strange Lights In Sky

Citizen Staff

Prince George Citizen Newspaper

2-19-4

A local resident wants to know if anyone else has seen fast moving balls of fire in the sky above Prince George in recent months.

Lisa Hallam says she's witnessed the sight on three separate occasions -- including Monday night -- as well as August 18, 2003 and January 31, 2004.

"The first time I saw this intensely red ball of fire was last August 18 above Punchaw Park, just off Ness Avenue where I live," said the 35-year old Hallam, describing the object's size as about four times the size of the brightest star in the sky.

"I knew it wasn't Mars because it was located behind me," said Hallam.

She said another strange thing at the time was the electronics in her home "started acting funny. We'd lose the TV signal and the screen would go green, and the VCR and DVD player turned themselves on and off," said Hallam, who's a CNC student.

"I saw the light again January 31. I thought I was losing my mind, so thank goodness my mother saw it, too. "(On Monday) night I was coming home about 6:30 p.m. along Rainbow Drive and there it was again, travelling northwest above Cranbrook Hill acting in the same manner as the others. It moved pretty fast.

It's so intensely red."

When Hallam reached home she continued to watch the sky, and said there were two other unique sites.

"Above Cranbrook Hill there was a circular shaped blue green hue that appeared both in front of and behind the clouds, and then I saw a long, rectangular hue of light-green light. It resembled the northern lights, but moved horizontally instead of up and down. My neighbour saw the bar-shaped hue, also."

That same day, Lisa's mother, Cheryll Hallam, said the electronics "went wonky" again. Gil Self, vice president of the Prince George Astronomical Society, said there had been no reports of the lights described by Hallam. "Right now Venus is brilliant due to its location in its orbit high in the western sky. It sparkles like a jewel", said Self, who said he never discredits reports by people, but instead, tries to explain the likely causes.

Self said there are many explanations for lights in the sky - refracted light from aircraft, electrical phenomenon in the sky, fireballs, meteorites, and electrical discharges from time to time.

UFO expert Brian Vike of Houston said: "I have no explanation for the sighting, but I am going to check out a few things regarding it and a few more sightings in the Prince George area."

The mystery of the orange lights in the sky above Prince George about a week ago has been solved.

"The lights turned out to be parachutists jumping at night," said Brian Vike, a UFO expert from Houston.

"The jumpers were doing acrobatics -- almost doing somersaults at times -- and the orange lights attached to their feet or ankle areas would appear to rise upwards during the acrobatics," Vike said. The mystery was solved by a retired military man who viewed the action with a pair of binoculars, he said.

"One landed close to his home, and he said just before landing, the jumper turned the lights off."

On Friday the Citizen ran a story of the unusual sightings reported by Andrea Lanoue who, with four friends, observed bright orange objects.

She described the lights as hovering for a time before moving slightly apart at different speeds, and some of them "fading off".

Vike said he's not sure if the skydivers used the lights to keep track of each other during formation jumping or if they were "playing some kind of hoax".

A UFO survey released Monday by Ufology Research of Manitoba shows the top 10 communities in Canada for reported UFO sightings, Vike said. In 2003, there were 673 reported sightings across Canada, with Vancouver leading with 41. Toronto ranked second with 34 sightings, followed by Houston at 33, Terrace at 30, and Airdrie, Alberta at 17. Prince George is not among the top ten.

"Most reported unfamiliar lights in the sky are identified as meteors, planets or stars," Vike said, who became heavily involved in UFO sightings in 2000 after moving to Houston. Since then he's participated in radio shows in Canada and the U.S. and was one of the main characters featured in a 2002 TV documentary called "The Magnificent Obsession".

Among cases still unsolved is one involving two women travelling away from Kelowna last July. "They reported seeing three white lights which turned green and dropped down in front of them on the highway. They both reported a loss of 45 minutes, and a tingly throughout their bodies," Vike said.

"They turned around and headed back to Kelowna with the light following them for a short distance before disappearing," said Vike, noting eight other people also reported seeing green lights. The next day, both women felt ill with a passenger having a nose bleed and finding a burn mark on her tail bone which the doctor said appeared to be a radiation burn. Since then, both have experienced weight loss, hair loss, nausea, salt cravings, dehydration and pressure to the back of their neck. But doctors cannot figure out the problem, Vike said.

4 Orange Red Lights Over Oxnard California

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  December 2010

Time:  Late evening

I saw 4 of what you saw. They were following each other right over me on New Years. I ran in the house and everyone saw them turn direction like nothing I ever seen before.

No noise at all and once they changed direction one by one, they disappeared because they have no lights on the back.

The speed was slow, but smooth. I wonder if the Oxnard CA airport got this on radar because it’s only couple of blocks away. They were UFOs for sure. I hope to see them on 2011 no luck!

Thank you to the witness for the report.
