Shape of objects: Grouping of 5 to 6 very bright, perfectly round white lights moving close together in some sort of formation.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was in the car with my Dad, driving back to my parents house the night before Thanksgiving when, on a residential back road about a street away from their house I couldn't help but notice a grouping of 5 to 6 extremely bright white lights that appeared to be flying very close to the ground in close formation but at times the lights would group ever closer together. 

The street is heavily wooded but I had no problem following the lights until they all clumped together to make one light and just disappeared. 

My Dad who was driving saw it without even having to stop the car.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my way to work in the passenger seat of my uncle's car, driving over the Granville Street bridge. I saw a plane flying, and a lot higher than it was what looked like blinking red lights in sort of a circle formation. The lights blinked for a couple seconds, then came together and created a large white light, then disappeared.

It also didn't move from the spot I saw it in. I have never seen a UFO before, and I've mistaken bright lights for them before, but never have I seen something so high up, so distinct, and change colors and disappear in an instant.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Me and a friend were driving home along a fairly busy road (A66 in Teesside) when I noticed a triangle shape in the sky with 3 lights at each corner.

The lights were just white at first, but seemed to get bigger and become more red, but this was maybe as they were getting closer. I was driving so couldn't really keep my eyes on them.

I told my friend who then kept watching them and she saw them better than me, the three lights seemed to be connected in a triangle shape. They were maybe not more than 50 feet in the sky above and seemed very close, they were moving very slowly, practically hovering.

At one point the lights broke off from the triangle and made more of a line. I then could not see them any more because of the direction we were driving.

Strange Cloud Formation Over Halifax Nova Scotia (Possible Roll Cloud)

Since that time, I was able to look into the sighting and come up with what I believe to be the answer for the unusual cloud formation, which is rather a rare sight to see. I believe I witnessed on Friday night of the 9th 2011.

I first noticed it at around 8:00 p.m. at night when I was working deliveries. A lady, I dropped some pizza off too, pointed out the full moon and I saw this long jet stream looking cloud. It was travelling NNE and SSW. There were at least four of them all in parallel as far as the eye could see, though two were very dimly lit so hard to see.

I continued my deliveries constantly watching these formations. About half an hour later I was delivering to the Marriott on Upper water street. I look up. Streams still there seems farther away. It’s a very thin line now, but still strongly defined, not dispersing.

Went into the hotel and when I came out about 10 minutes later. The cloud is thicker now, more dispersed and lower than what I saw before. By the time I drop off my other pizza and head back to the north end. I look up the clouds thinner now.

Within the time frame of the Marriott Hotel and Upper water to arriving back to the pizza shop the stream seemed to be pulsing. Sounds crazy, I pointed it out to a co-worker and he seemed boggled, but not that interested.

Now I like to read and I'm not paranoid or anything but I do believe in some degree of the HAARP theory of manipulating the ionosphere. I also saw this video.

Orange Red Lights In Triangular Formation Over South Oxnard California

About 2 hours ago I seen 3 lights appear in the sky. They were orange reddish and floating in the sky at a slow pace and in a triangle formation. 

They were visible that I seen for about 1 minute then 1 by 1 they faded out slowly and disappeared without a trace. I was in South Oxnard, CA. 11:15 pm 9/17/11.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was in my backyard just doing some thinking and looking up at the stars pacing and such. While I was looking at the stars I saw out of my peripheral vision a set of 3 dim lights (in a dim whitish yellow color about he same size as average stars) in a triangle form traveling relatively fast and not making any sound, it was silent out. ( Fast in the sense that I judged it at how fast airliners travel at night so about 3x as fast as airliners.)

They stayed in perfect shape the whole time I could see them. The whole thing lasted maybe 8-10 seconds until I could no longer see them. I am not a nut on UFO's. I am not religious mainly in the fact I have to see the science behind things.

I can tell you the only thing that could change my mind that what I saw was not a UFO, is a flight plan of any training exercises from the Air force or something.

Brian, there were 9 of us sitting and looking towards the sky last night at 9:20pm waiting for the Beecher, Illinois fireworks show to start when we all seen 3 lights appear in the sky in a perfect triangle shape. At first I thought they were hot air balloons because the lights looked like flames.

But they were staying for too long in that perfect triangle. Then after about 2 minutes they disappeared one by one.

Large Formation Of Blue Glowing Objects Over Maple Ontario

Hi Brian, I'm from Maple, Ontario (Street and Major Mackenzie to be exact). Last night (this morning) at about 1:20 a.m., I saw a very large blue-ish, almost glowing, formation go across the sky from east to west. 

It went too quickly to get it on my phone. It appeared to be pretty close, near the clouds maybe. I watched for about half an hour after and saw nothing else.

I'm hoping someone else saw it too. It was hard to miss.

Group Of 3 Reddish/Orange Lights In A Triangular Formation Over Airdrie Alberta

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was out in the backyard having a smoke and admiring the night sky as usual. I saw a group of 3 reddish-orange lights in a triangular formation cross the sky overhead of me from north to south (heading over Calgary).

The height of the object was between 1,500 and 2,000 feet -- it moved incredibly fast and made no noise whatsoever. The formation of the lights remained intact -- that is, they did not move out of place.

One thing that I found especially peculiar is that the lights appeared almost semi-transparent and I could not detect an outline of a craft -- only the formation of the three lights.

The length of the sighting was at least 10-15 seconds long. I saw a similar object jet across the sky in August of 2011. If anyone has seen anything remotely similar I would love to hear about it.

20-30 Orange Lights In A Diagonal Formation Over Lansing Michigan

20 Or More Silent Bright Orange Lights In Formation Over Moffat Dumfriesshire UK

You request information about UFO sightings:

Tonight at 10:30 p.m. above Moffat, Dumfriesshire, UK. 20 or so bright orange lights in formation heading from south to north just west of Moffat. 

Altitude was possibly 4-10,000 feet. Each light vanished as it came abeam of my viewing point (in the manner of a passing navigation light on an aircraft).

There was no audible aircraft noise. They seem very strange, through binoculars, only the light is visible, no other structure or any kind of reflected surface. I see that these things have been seen quite frequently in the UK over the last 2 years or so, I wonder what they are? Cheers.

6 Red Orange Lights Moving In Formation Over Melville Johannesburg South Africa

I saw exactly the same thing as http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2011/02/10-orange-red-lights-over-johannesburg.html earlier tonight

There were 7 red/orange lights, 6 moving in formation, one lone one coming a bit later, they moved around, slowed down and sped up, I had video taped it on my cell phone, the image is not very clear at all.

My entire family saw this and I have no explanation for this, they are undoubtedly some kind of vehicle, but nothing I know of fits this description. They were completely silent, they could hover, and it  seems as though they moved at high speeds.

The first thing I saw was the first of the red lights, the leader I assume, it looked like it had just taken off, it sped up, and then slowed down and hovered, waiting for 2 other lights, then the three sped off again and where joined by 3 more to make a V shape, they moved  across the sky, then the seventh one came from where the others had come.

It was slow at first, then suddenly sped up in the direction of the others (which had vanished) and soon it was out of sight. Thank you to the witness for the report.

A Triangle Formation Over Loveland Colorado

Full Description of event/sighting: Scanning the night sky as I often do, I was setting out my trash bin on Sunday Sept 30, 9:45 p.m. I noticed a satellite and 2 or 3 commercial aircraft on approach to Denver International Airport while I watched the sky.

As I was about to go in I spent another minute or 2 to look up, and noticed 3 dimly lit circular objects speeding from south to north almost directly overhead. They were either a tight formation or a single object with 3 lights. There was no noise.

They may have been illuminated from city glow as they looked a faded brownish color. The closest approximation to their appearance would be 3 peas almost touching each other. Each object or light had a hazy glow around the edge. With my stuck out thumb as a guide the object (s) together were about as big as a quarter at arm's length.

I had both a camera and camcorder 2 feet away from me in my car but the whole sighting lasted less than 10 seconds and by the time I could have gotten them out and turned on the objects would have been gone. I opted to watch. My basic feelings were of exasperation more than awe, as I've occasionally seen unexplainable objects in the skies over the years and have never been able to get any recorded on media.

After watching them cross the sky and disappear past the roof of my house I watched a few more minutes to see if anything else would show up, then I went inside and started typing a sighting report.

Glowing Orange V Formation Over Lincoln Nebraska

Full Description of event/sighting: Going north to south, looked like black shapes, like the V of a flock of birds with diagonal bird like shapes forming lines behind it. 

Glowing orange came from the black "bird like shapes". The diagonal lines changed to scattered, then back to diagonals. The glowing faint orange looked like the orange from the interstate lights, but almost see-through. 

I thought it was a cloud I could see at night, but realized it wasn't. There were no clouds that night and the glow was reflecting off of the black objects in the form. It was quite a ways above the tree line, probably 20,000 feet or so. 

It was hard to tell without points of reference. I was outside sitting in my hot-tub looking up at the sky. If I hadn't have been starting at the sky, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Very strange.

Triangular Formation Of Bright Oval Shaped Lights Clovis California

Location of Sighting: Along CA Hwy 168, 20 miles E of Clovis, CA.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hello, Brian. I reported a UFO sighting to you some time ago about a sighting on 6 Sep 1982 in Auberry, CA. Since then I have had another UFO sighting.

It was in Feb of 1995, but I can't remember the exact date (unusual for a history major). I was returning home from a Wednesday night class (grad school) at CSU Fresno, and had pulled over on Highway 168 to let a couple of cars go by. I checked to see if there was no traffic, and then just looked up, and saw a formation of lights.

Each was oval-shaped, and very white. The best analogy I can give is the brightest white lights at a baseball or football stadium, but these were brighter. There were six of them in a triangular formation.

One at the apex, then two right behind, and then three at the base. I turned off the car to see if there was no sound, and there was none. I didn't remove the key so the lights and clock would still work and noted the time-10:30 p.m. (PST). The formation was several hundred feet above, and each light was about the size of a dime held at arm's length.

The formation was flying in a N to S direction, and the whole sighting took about 2 minutes. I noted the time when I restarted the car as 10:32. When I got home at 10:55, I asked my grandmother (now deceased) if she'd heard any unusual scanner traffic on either the Fresno County Sheriff or California Highway Patrol channels, and she said no. And there was nothing on any of the Fresno TV stations' 11 PM newscasts that I can recall.

I don't know what these were, but they were not F-16s from Fresno ANG Base, or F/A-18s from NAS Lemoore, nor any kind of commercial aircraft. Weather was clear and cool (about 45 or 50 F)

There was no interference with the car's engine or lights before I turned the ignition off, and it started up again normally. If you need more info, feel free to contact me at the above e-mail address, and I will get back to you.

Formation Of Lights Over North Fambridge in Essex U.K. (Picture)

Time:  12:30 a.m.

Saturday 1st July - We were sitting in the conservatory at 12:30 a.m. when we saw a formation of lights moving from South to North over North Fambridge in Essex.

We all (4) rushed outside and I took the attached photo with my phone. The formation was initially a 4 followed by 2 then a further distinct 4+.

They were moving smoothly and with no noise, appearing as balls of light with no shape. We called the police who said they were a Christian group letting off balloons, but there was no way they could move at this speed and against the wind.

I am not easily misled but this was unlike anything I had seen before. Height uncertain (looked low), constant speed and no sound. The police took our phone and address.

Full Description of event/sighting: During Desert Storm, my unit was staged in the northern Saudi Arabian desert, about 50 miles south of the border with Iraq.  On at least two occasions, as I was performing perimeter guard duty in the early morning hours, I was sitting on the edge of the perimeter, scanning the area to my front, when I suddenly had the feeling that something was over me. 

I looked back over my shoulder, and saw what appeared to be 5 lights, almost identical to the brightness of stars, in the shape of a V flying above me.  It was a moonless night, but in that part of the desert, starlight shone brightly, and whatever this thing was appeared out of no where. What struck me as strange is that it made no sound at all, but it looked like five stars moving slowly over my unit. 

I kept watching as this thing passed over my unit, and then moved beyond me and slowly out of sight.  As it passed over, all that could be heard, was the faint sound of a rush of air, like a low wind blowing. 

I have no way of judging the size of this object, as I could make out no shape of an object, only V shaped lights, but compared to the size of a Boeing 747, a plane of that size to have lights spread to those dimensions, would only possibly be 100 feet off the ground to be that size.

Within five minutes, this cluster of V-shaped lights flew silently over again.  Twice in one night.

What was surprising in this, I was not the only person in my unit that saw this thing.  In fact, nearly every person in my section at some time or another saw this cluster of lights silently flying over our site. 

I happened to see it again on a separate night of guard duty, only this time, I also had a set of night vision goggles with me.  The thing flew over again, and I tried my best to train my goggles on it, but the only thing I could make out were the five lights, no form or outline of the object could be made out.

I recall reading accounts of the Fort Stockton flying boomerang sightings in Texas, as well as the infamous "Phoenix Lights" sightings in 1997, and descriptions of both of these sightings, sound very similar to what the Soldiers in my unit witnessed during Desert Storm in 1991.
