Hi Brian, On August 2, 2005 at about 1:00-1:30 a.m. on a very clear night. At the location of the Sandbanks (Lake Ontario) Prince Eward County. (80 kms. south of Trenton,Ontario) I witnessed a very fast "shooting star" moving horizontally about one to 2000 feet max above the ground. It was bright white blue light, that left a 2-3 second trail of the same colour which faded out. It's speed was incredible, with a 3-4 second window of viewing about 3-5 miles of sky. I do know and have seen, even earlier that night, noticed about 4 or 5 falling stars. But this one was different Brian, it flew perfectly horizontal with a (2-3 sec) trail signature. The direction was East to West over Lake Ontario heading towards Toronto. So was this a natural event? or other? First timer on this one Brian, feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
