Lowry AFB A Large Black Disk/UFO Ringed In White Lights

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: 1979

Time: Evening.

Brian, Thanks for your reply. I was hoping you would. I read about your sighting, and it was interesting. I'll be happy to tell you my experience.

In 1979, I was 17, and had signed up to serve in the U.S. Air Force. I went through boot camp at Lackland AFB, TX., August of that year, shortly after graduating high school in Connecticut.

After basic training, I was stationed at Lowry for technical training, to be trained to be an instrumentation mechanic, probably in September. I don't recall how long the school was, but I remember it was one of the longer programs, and may have been 16 weeks long, putting me there into the winter.

I had a few buddies there. I recall one of their names to be a (full name removed), who was with me that night. I don't recall the other fellows name.

Sadly, I didn't document the events better than this, it's just my recollection. I had turned 18 in October. This all occurs while we were on Lowry AFB.

One night, I believe in December, because there had to be 8 to 12 inches of snow on the ground, we decided to go off base to a small pub. We didn't have a car, so it was decided that although the pub was off base, and there was no gate near it, that we'd climb a fence, to save time walking all the way around the perimeter of the base. We still needed to walk quite a way from the dorm to the point in the fence we needed to climb.

So it was night, maybe 9:00 pm. I recall a moonlit, cloudless, fairly warm, despite the snow, night. We walked in the direction of the pub, walking through the main street the dorm was located, of the base. When we got away from the main buildings, and away from street and building lights, it was quiet. So, we're walking, and at some point we had to leave the plowed road, and had to cross a snow covered field there.

This is when I look up and I see the strangest thing. I see what appears to be a large black disk, ringed in white lights that revolve around the perimeter of it. I recall how it made me think of lights that revolve around Las Vegas casino marquees. Otherwise it was pitch black, and you could only see the absence of the moonlight where it was.

I thought the lights on it comical, instead of otherworldly. But this thing was big. I'd say it was no more than 200 feet up. About 60 - 70 yards diameter. It was dead silent. It didn't even create the sound that winds make going around buildings. It moved slowly maybe 1 to 2 miles per hour, perpendicular to our course, perfectly straight, not drifting in wind, behind us from left to right.

I think I alerted my friends, (name removed) and the other guy, and asked what that could be. They agreed it was something very unusual, and we decided to change course and follow it. Now, we are walking in snow, which doesn't let you move all that fast to begin with, but we're able to keep up with it for maybe 5 to 10 minutes, where we reach some fence. As we stop, the thing just keeps going. Whatever it was, it didn't notice us. We stand and watch as it move, until it was too far to see. No change in course or speed.

We proceeded to the pub, enjoyed ourselves, and hardly spoke of it. I don't recall us really ever talking about it since.

Shortly after, my friends had moved on to their next assignments, as their schools had ended and I continued my school. I lost track of them and don't know if they are alive or not, let alone where they are. The one I forgot was from Foxboro MA, and he was Polish. I would like to meet them again to discuss that night. If I knew how to look up guys at an AFB on a certain date, I would.

Well that's it, not as dramatic as a broad daylight encounter like yours I think.

Thank you to the witness for a fascinating sighting report.

UFO Snipers Helicopter Gunships And Jet Fighters Loring AFB

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: 1975

Full Description of event/sighting: I was stationed at Loring AFB during the UFO sightings. This is the first time I have seen something in writing about the incident. Thanks for all you do.

Hello Brian, I was a medic working at the hospital while all this was going on.

I had a fellow airman I knew that told me about how his radar screen went crazy and how the tracking was really weird and impossible to be done with our current aircraft.

A military police airman that I also knew told me about how he violently shook because while he was at his nuclear post a stationary bright light from above was shining on him.

All he heard was "nothing". Another military police airman told me that he was being stationed along with some others as snipers around the base.

I personally saw helicopter gunships and fighter aircraft during this time. Both of these type aircraft were not present before. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you to the person for this valuable information.

UFO Over Loring AFB Has Serviceman Debriefed Over Incident

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Brian Vike’s Note: I have removed names in this report as not to identify the folks who are talked about in the below report. I have replaced the real names with a fictitious ones. The folks could not be reached to seek permission to post their names. Also I would love to hear from any serviceman or Loring AFB personal/families who have knowledge about the sighting. I can be reached at: brian_vike@telus.net or through my website at: http://www.kbccuforesearch.ca/

Hi, Hope this finds you well. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, it is Football season and my son plays for (removed) so my wife and I "tramp around the northeast" this time of year!

Well a little background. My dad was Chief of the FAA office in Presque Isle. All the guys there were electronic techs and were responsible for navigational aids and some other equipment such as teletype machines at NOAA and Loring AFB. The nav-aids included the Presque Isle instrument landing system, PQI VOR and TACAN which were (and still are ) located in the middle of a potato field in Washburn, Me.

This VOR equipment is considered one of the most important nav-aids in the States because it is the first or last an aircraft uses. Loring aircraft and any other military aircraft use the TACAN and it too is the first or last site in the USA. Ok now the boring is out!

I had a good friend from Boy Scouts whose father was the structures fire chief at Loring. They lived outside of PQI near Quoggy Joe State Park. Our families did a lot together outside of scouts, snowmobiling, camping, and family get together. That October, our troop had a Court of Honor which included a Pot Luck dinner. Rick's father Dale, didn't show up and his mom was very worried. That next weekend the Riley's were over and Dale told us about the sighting.

Seems that calls came in from some of the families on the base. They also saw the lights moving around the base. The base sent out an engine after the first calls came in from the base housing area claiming that lights were seen threw the trees as well as in the air. Dale said that, and I can't remember who, one of the higher ranking officers requested the engine to check out the housing area, and he assumed that it was because of a possible light plane or helicopter crash.

After cruising the housing area they saw the lights towards the flight line and they headed in that direction. After reaching the gate to the flight line Dale said that they could see a red light over the area where the Nuclear storage site was located. The light stayed there for a time while the radios were going "nuts". After a short time (minutes) the light flew off only to return again before disappearing.

The Pentagon closed the base down, not letting anyone on or off, and cut off all non approved communications. In fact, before Dale got home, Rick called me and told us that they were afraid the war was "just around the corner", remember that Loring was a "Dew line" base or first strike .

Dale was allowed off base the next day, late in the afternoon after being debriefed by Air Force personnel. He was not on base the second night, but of course found out about it when he returned later in the week. A few days after this happened he was ordered to report for another debriefing. This time they were "suits". His words not mine. I didn't learn about the "men in black" until years later.

Now Dale retired and moved to Alaska, where they transferred from. Rick is now a minister somewhere in the middle America area, I've lost track of him while in the service.

What I find interesting is that the year before there was another series of sightings in the area. I have come to understand that Loring was visited then too, this from Dale. In December of 74, my next door neighbor and I were out snow sledding one night and observed a strange light passing over the town.

Thank you to the person for relating this interesting report.

UFO - Airman Assigned To The 27th Tactical Air Command At Cannon AFB

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Brian Vike’s Note: The report below is new one to a growing list of incidents that took place at the Cannon AFB, in NM. With so many servicemen who have filed reports of unknown objects over the base to me, it certainly has become clear that the Cannon AFB was a location for many UFO sightings.

I would like to ask if any other folks have information about the UFO incidents that took place at the Cannon AFB, would you please contact Brian Vike at: brian_vike@telus.net. Thank you and please note that your privacy is respected.

Brian, Per our phone conversation, this is the "sanitized" and completed events of June, 1975 at Cannon AFB, NM:

Let me go ahead and lay my experience out for you.

I was an Airman, assigned to the 27th Tactical Air Command at Cannon AFB and I worked the swing shift on the flight line. It was a Friday night and as usual, I checked the ops board for sorties. F111-Ds had a nasty habit of landing broke more often than not and on Friday nights, that meant swing shift stayed late to fix any "red x" entries in the A/C maintenance log. I was relieved to note that nothing was scheduled and so I only needed to finish my shift and start the weekend.

At around 10:00 p.m., I heard the afterburners of F111s taking off. Thinking they could be from another base, I ran outside to see. Our base identifier, "CC", was on the vertical stabilizers of the two F111-Ds that were taking off in combat formation - two staggered abreast and simultaneous. I had never seen our birds take off like that - it was simply not done.

I approached our dispatcher and told him we had just launched two. We were both upset because we weren't supposed to have any training sorties that night and nobody wanted to stay late on a Friday. He called Ops and they told him it was a hot scramble after bogeys over the base that the radar shack was tracking. I found out later that MMS (Munitions Maintenance Squadron) loaded the F111's with live air-to-air ordinance. I also heard that it wasn't the first scramble during this time frame, but I personally was not witness to any others.

The dispatcher happened to be friends with the radar operator on duty, so we called the radar shack and put him up on the external speaker. The (veteran) radar operator was totally flummoxed. He was tracking "two or three" bogeys making impossible aerial maneuvers at impossible speeds - at least 3,000 MPH - disappearing and re-appearing. He checked and double-checked his gear and it was fine - no malfunction (he was tracking our F111's fine). I jotted down the phone number to the radar shack and stuck it in my fatigue shirt pocket.

The two A/C landed about 45 minutes later, no ordinance expended and they were in good order - no late night work for me. I heard later that the pilots were not debriefed in the normal manner. I left the shop for the Airman's Club, socialized over a pitcher of beer and played some foosball. I made it back to the barracks at about 2:00AM. Seeing the phone on the CQ's desk, I decided to call the radar site - it was a small portable building out in the middle of a field. I was curious and wanted an update on the bogey situation.

The phone at the other end was answered by a "Capt. Kowalski". (A captain in the radar shack at 2:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning? no way! was what I thought.) I asked for the radar operator by name and the Capt.. stated that he was not there. His voice was loud and threatening. As a young airman, I was truly frightened by his aggressiveness and almost hung up.

To cut to the chase, Capt. K. interrogated me for some time about who I was, why I was calling and so forth. During that time, a few things became clear to me:

1. He was definitely not USAF. He used terms such as "serial number" and "CO" which were common to other branches of the armed forces, but not used by USAF personnel. Whoever he was and whomever he worked for, his cover was blown.

2. He may not have even been military. He swore - no curse words excepted - with every sentence, lost his temper constantly, or appeared to for effect, and sounded more like a street thug than an "officer and a gentleman". To use a military phrase, he had no "military bearing". Having been raised in a military family, military bearing is not something one comes by naturally, nor is it easily relinquished.

3. I probably should never have called for that update!

Capt. K told me the incident never happened. When I refuted him, by saying I had watched the aircraft scramble and spoke with the radar operator, he stated that I was either insane or on drugs. His voice was constantly at a yelling volume and his demeanor, highly intimidating. He stated that "we can do things to you that make Leavenworth (max-security federal penitentiary) look like a picnic". Capt. K. told me they would be watching me and that I was never to mention this "non-event" to anyone. He also stated, "it's a big desert out there - people get lost all the time". I got the point.

In the ensuing days, I attempted to locate this Capt. Kowalski, entertaining the notion of bringing him up on charges of "behavior unbecoming an officer". He simply did not exist anywhere on base. I contacted the Communications Squadron who runs the radar shack to see if they know who this Capt.. was. I was surprised when I discovered that the radar operator had suddenly gotten orders to a "classified location".... nobody knew where he went and none of his friends knew about any pending orders. Imho, he was conveniently disappeared.

I have provided the details of this event to The Disclosure Project. They in turn asked if I would be willing to travel to Washington D.C. and testify before Congress to that effect. My answer to them was and still is, "affirmative".

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report.

Military Serviceman Films UFO Over Camp Pendleton (Picture)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: August 19, 2010

Time: Approxamtlty 8:30 p.m.

Here is the picture that I took from my iPhone. There were several witnesses in my base housing area that saw it. At first there were 3 lights forming a triangle. Then one of the lights (the one in the bottom right corner disappeared.

I was able to snap this photo before it finally disappeared entirely. It happened on August 19, 2010 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

After the sighting I called PMO and the Sgt on duty said that they've received numerous phone calls about the strange lights and that it was the Game Warden using a spotlight.

Included is the original photo and I went on my iMac and zoomed in and tried to change the exposure to see the object better. Not sure if you guys can professionally clean up and zoom in on the photo, but you can see an outline of a triangular craft.

If you have any other questions regarding the UFO sighting please feel free to contact me via email or call my cell phone at (number removed). Please update me on any information you guys might have.

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report.

Mid Sized Circular UFO North Northeast Of Philadelphia (Looked Like World War III)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  May 1, 2007

Time:  Approximately 9:30 p.m.

I would like to share w/everyone something I saw on the night of May 1st, sometime around 9:30 p.m.

The first part of it is, I was sitting outside w/a teen-age young woman and she saw it also. It was NNE of here, where Philadelphia is (about 30 miles away). It seems like it began suddenly.

It looked like, or closest to, though not quite the same as the videos of the bombing of Baghdad. Only it was silent. And no, it was not a) lightning, b) fireworks, c) searchlights. All the flashes of light and what looked like explosions were a bright white light.

Some of the explosions seemed to come out of thin air, and others from the Earth surface. Once in a while there would be a huge flash of light travelling instantly across the sky.

The young lady and I were somewhat stunned, watching this, and could not understand what it was. I said, "Looks like WWIII," and she nodded. It was chilly, she went inside to stay and I went in to get something warmer to wear.

Inside the house I became aware that both my ears were ringing like nobody's business. My dog buddy here was freaking out, and did not calm down till I covered her ears w/my hands. It felt at one point that every cell in my body was vibrating. I went back outside. In a bit the lights started again.

I felt that I was witnessing war, and the word scalar came to mind, and I felt so sad. Then, off to the NNW, I became aware of a mid-sized circular UFO/craft/ship in the sky.

It seemed to me that it was struggling/fighting to come through to this dimension/frequency. I felt that this was a benevolent people on that ship. I do not know if this was a vision of a possible future? I pray not, for the people of Philly, where I was born.

Or was it something happening on another dimension? Was the ship I saw encountering some sort of destructive frequency fence? The complete silence, and the fact that it was a foggy night (and no, these were not car lights reflecting off the fog) but the lights were still highly visible was strange.

Full Description of event/sighting: A large burning object the size of a building flying and appearing to be crashing in the Richland Chambers Creek area. I was en-route per work and listening to local talk radio in which lines were abuzz about hundreds of witnesses asking about the flying object.

They called FTA  (I think it's called) and they were told to say "No Comment" in which they did and the incident, no further comments were made about the subject and was hush hushed. No reports of any kind in local papers whatsoever.

Light Beams Come From The Clouds And Scan Over North East of Selkirk Manitoba

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  October 12, 2007

Time:  215 a.m.

Location of Sighting: North East of Selkirk Manitoba.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 6 to 8
Shape of objects: Light beams.

Full Description of event/sighting: While sitting in a outdoor hot-tub with a friend she suddenly stopped talking and said what the hell is that. I turned around to see three too four beams of light coming through the clouds.

This was a very cloudy and cold evening. I turned off the music and the motor to the tub, we leaned are chins on the edge of the tub and watched the lights and listened for any sounds.

There were no sounds coming from the direction of the lights. My guess is that the lights (if they were to reach the ground) were no more then 300 yards away. We watched as the lights seemed to be looking for something.

As if a person was standing on the clouds with a flashlight and looking for his keys he dropped. At times there would be one beam and at others there were six to eight. This would last for around five to eight minutes and then they just left.

Full Description of event/sighting: I video taped a semi-cloaked Boomerang UFO a couple of weeks ago and many others. I'm sending you a link to the high res version.

Passing by the star Arcturus is definitely one of our friends. This was filmed in October 2007 at my house which is two hundred yards from Newport's Old Stone Mill.

It works best to right click movie for full screen in a completely dark room with a good monitor as it seems to be semi-cloaked and is hard to see turn up your sound you can hear a whoosh as it glides by also notice the green flash interacting with my infrared camera as the UFO enters at bottom right.

I seem to be in close contact for about seven years I've had many sightings and finally their showing up on film. Some of my family members where the ultimate skeptics until they saw this one. Two things to see my sites.

30 Foot Saucer Shaped UFO With Beams Of Light Near Pine Bush New York

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

 Date:  July 11, 2007

Time:  10:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: New York  (near Pine Bush).

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: 30 foot saucer shaped vehicle red blue lights w/beam.

Full Description of event/sighting: Driving home on country road when lights were sighted behind a tree, about 40 feet up and about 40 feet in front of us. We stopped our vehicle, it lowered and moved directly in front of us over road. Flashing blue and red lights and a beam of light from under it, beaming onto road in front of us. It hovered over road directly in front of us.

We were actually having a terrifying encounter with this thing. Who was going to make the next move? My sister, who was driving wanted to turn around and go back down the road towards town. I knew not to get under the beam. I knew if we tried to go back it would get over us. I told my sister to make turn into upper driveway to our house.

We had to go toward the UFO, and it lowered more and began to come toward us, but we swerved a sharp right to turn into the driveway. We were terrified!

We parked our car, my sister on driver's side ran to house, saying "it is not a helicopter. It makes no noise!"  I opened passenger side, and running around back of vehicle, looked up straight ahead of me. The UFO is directly in front of me, very close to the ground, just hovering. No beam of light underneath now, but a grey blue light all around it.

It was between the house and garage buildings, just hovering there. It was about 30 feet wide. I was sort of mesmerized by it. We try to account for the time. Just remember suddenly again being behind my sister on the porch as she was trying to open the door with the keys, surprisingly so calmly.

Afterwards, we both realized it must have been directly over our vehicle in the driveway because we did not see it go down the road in front of us. Also, a funny thing was my sister had been frightened by these things hovering low near the radio tower on the road and had been practicing parking here vehicle facing the road and practicing opening the door as quickly as possible. It hovered a few minutes, then very, very slowly moves up and away from me over tree tops. A very, very whisper of sort of an electrical generator sound.!

The next day the tree it hovered over before slowly moving toward road had the leaves all drooping and looked dried out. And a circle on the grass where it hovered. There are always these strange "flashing stars" in the area all the time, and my sister is very frightened of these things. Even before this encounter.

Like she has had some "experience" with them before or something. She would point at them and tell me "those are not stars!"  And every night they are still there, some hanging very low, not at a great distance. These "flashing stars" are also here in Branson, Mo. I see them every night. Just hovering in the sky all the time. Not sure if these are military vehicles or what. But this is very frightening.

I had been in New York for only a short time when this happened and we did not go out after dark after this. Did research on the Pine Bush UFO sightings over the years. Know top military experimentation facilities in the area. Researching more very interesting information about the area and military and government experimentation and facilities.

I have found information on a UFO crash in the area in 1965, and military people came on our property about that time to search for something. I remember my dad and I watching the UFO's in the sky from out kitchen windows in the 60's and 70's, usually a cluster of three or so.

They would hover and then suddenly just take off really fast to nowhere. But couldn't talk about it then. Now look at the talk on the internet. No, we are not crazy. This is really happening. But what and who are they?  Sort of makes me proud when my sister and I can say "two blondes out maneuvered a UFO" ! What would the brunettes have done?

Joking about it now. But it was the most terrifying experience of my life. We thought we were going to die. We were hysterical, crying a screaming. Now I see them here too. Why is no one, like scientists and "star gazers" not talking about them? I can easily pick them out.

They just hang in the sky for hours, and have flashing pulsating red and green lights. And there is sometimes a larger very bright white thing with them. Are many other people reporting these things to you also?  On the internet I've found a few people questioning these "flashing stars."

Thank you to the witness for the very interesting report.

Smoky Dark Gray Triangle/UFO Flying Over New Westminster British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  April 16, 2007

Time:  10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: New Westminster

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing at my front window lighting a cigarette. I looked up and saw what I thought was a Very large gaggle of geese. Then I realized it was too dark too see them as white, and the V stayed consistent, so I looked closer.

It was coming from the north/east and over the corner of my building. It was then I realized what I thought was geese was actually lights. I saw the outline of a triangle, it was a smoky dark gray in color, and the lights were in a perfect V, not moving like geese do.

I ran to my back/bathroom door to see where it was going but by the time I got the door open I could no longer see it.

My first sighting was when I was 11 in California, my second sighting was in Vancouver, B.C. when I was 18 (reported that to the airport) then again in Langley B.C. 2 years ago, but they were all just far distant lights moving too fast to be planes or helicopters.

This was the first time I actually saw something that appeared to be a very large ship, about a city block big and flying lower than the airplanes.

This is not a joke, and nobody believes me.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Navy Personal Observe A 30 Foot In Diameter Red UFO/Craft From The USS Preserver

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  1984

Time:  Evening.

In 1984 I was a US Navy Diver stationed on board the USS Preserver, ARS-8. We were on a routine excursion to Pensacola, FL from our home port in Little Creek, VA to recover the wreck of a downed Navy Trainer, A-4 I believe.

En-route headed south just east of Cape Hatteras we noticed that our stern running light was out and needed to replace it as dusk was approaching. The aft third of an ARS is all salvage deck and diving space (hydraulic and electrical gear below along with the diving locker) and as such was our responsibility for all maintenance and repairs.

Not a big deal as all that was needed was to lower the flag staff and replace the bulb. The evening meal was being served on the mess decks and while we were changing out the bulb and BS-ing when we saw what appeared to be a flare off to the east.

Oddly enough the 'flare' rose in the sky, disappeared or extinguished then reappeared and whizzed off in a near vertical motion. This was most unusual, but since we thought it was a flare, we reported it to the bridge as a normal course of procedure. We were speculating on the odd occurrence and why a 'flare' would behave in such a peculiar manner.

Could it have been a UFO? Our fellow sailors were now coming out of the galley, one by one and were gathering as we were describing what had happened. For the most part everyone thought we were just being ignorant and dismissed our speculations as just that.

By now it was dark and a very clear night. While in the midst of our banter between divers and the rest of the crew, one of the non-partisans to our little story became pale and his eyes opened as if he had just seen a ghost. He pointed into the sky off the starboard gunwale and we all saw it, a red orb.

This light reminds me for all the world like the little trailing red UFO on Close Encounters (I am just watching it for the umpteenth time which is what caused me to look up 'glowing red light UFO' on Google. This red orb hung with us for awhile and seemed to be about 30' in diameter, though it had no real form.

Our boat only ran at about 13 knots, so this thing was just keeping pace and made not a single sound. We all hustled up to the signal bridge to try to catch a glimpse through the "big eyes", the mounted binocular telescope used by the signal watch.

While on the signal bridge (which happens to be directly above the bridge of the ship where Ops and the Captain are situated) we could hear radio chatter from Coast Guard vessels and other vessels calling the Preserver to inquire about the contact that was showing exactly on our position.

In almost an instant the red orb took off at what seemed like an unimaginable speed again with no sound. We spent the rest of the night looking up towards the heavens, but never saw another thing like the red orb that would mark its place in our memories for the rest of our lives!

Serviceman Observes UFOs Over Moody Air Force Base Valdosta Georgia And In The North Atlantic

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

I was stationed at Moody Air Force base in Valdosta, Georgia in the early 70’s. My job was training student pilots in the flight simulators I was assigned to. I was making a milk run for my family one evening in 1973, driving from our house to the base convenience store.

The sky was clear and if you know anything about South Georgia you know that the lay of the land is very flat. I observed an extremely fast moving light about 30 degrees above the horizon moving roughly south to north from the air base. I slowed down to watch what I now believe to be a UFO moving across the sky at an incredible rate of speed.

I observed the object abruptly change direction by what I would estimate to be 30 to 40 degrees to the east. Within just a few seconds the object was no longer in sight. About 30 to 60 seconds later I saw two chase planes leaving the air base in what appeared to be an attempt to intercept the UFO.

The planes used to chase the object are supersonic jet training planes. What I observed was an object that was moving at what I would estimate to be at least five times faster than the jets in pursuit. Result – not even a contest. UFO was gone!

After separating from the Air Force in 1978 I worked a few odd jobs in the electronics field. I acquired a job with the Naval Oceanographic office in 1981. I was an electronic technician assigned to an oceanographic research ship that surveyed the North Atlantic.

One cloudless October evening, about 2 hours before sunset while in the North Atlantic above the Arctic Circle, I decided to take a short break while there was a lull in the ship’s activities. I walked out to the fantail of the ship and sat with my feet hanging off of the starboard side of the ship.

The water was amazingly calm and clear. About a quarter mile from the side of the ship I observed the water glowing from below which as you might imagine immediately caught my attention.

Imagine an extremely bright spotlight shining up through crystal clear ocean water from a depth that was in the neighborhood of 8-10 thousand feet deep.

Within what I estimate to be about 2-3 seconds, a sphere of white light exited the water.

I would estimate the size of the object to be the size of a beach ball. As if that in itself was not amazing enough the object did not disturb the water at all upon exiting and was totally silent.

The object left the water and ascended vertically at an unbelievable rate of speed. I would estimate the time from exiting the water to moment the object disappeared from view into the clear evening sky to be less than 3 seconds.

A Flying V Shaped Craft/UFO Over New Westminster British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Last Wednesday of July 2005

Time:  9:50 p.m.

Location of Sighting: New Westminster, BC.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: V.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was laying on a table looking up at the stars admiring them. I was in the south-western portion of New Westminster at a school, and these lights appear and there is no sound.

They look like lights along the inside edges of an indentation of a flying V.  But are very low to city. It was to my left and heading towards Port Moody. It struck me as so odd that I wrote it down on a piece of paper and drew what it looked like.

I might not have the piece of paper still, but I remember things pretty well, maybe not the exact time or date, but pretty close. I remember things by seeing them.

Large Tubular Craft/UFO With Lights Disappears Into Fog Along The Kootenay River Nelson British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Approximately ten  years ago. (March 1997) (?)

Time:  About 6:10 a.m.

Message: Hello! I just found your site while browsing and thought I'd like to relate my UFO experience of approximately ten  years ago. Now retired, I once worked for the city of Nelson B.C.

I left for work one morning at my usual time of about 6:10 a.m. I believe it was early Spring, probably March. I had to drive about four miles west of town, pick up my work mate and then the two of us would continue to our work site just a couple miles west of town which is downstream on the Kootenay river.

This morning was cool and the narrow valley we live in and at that time, can have patches of fog hanging above the river here and there. The road to my workmates home climbs up in the valley and I can get a view down towards the river.

As I'm travelling along, I looked toward the river and noticed what looked to me to be a large tubular balloon (like a sausage) with three large lights along its side. Each light slowly blinking a different colour.

Although I looked down toward it, it seemed to be floating along, perhaps 100 feet above the river in a horizontal direction downstream. Suddenly it disappeared as it entered into a patch of fog.

I picked up my buddy, and mentioned it to him on our way to work. My best guess as to it’s size would be possibly five feet thick and twenty feet long, a ratio of 1:4.

Two mornings later, he said that he also had seen it, the evening before. We couldn't figure it out, so soon forgot about it. I must apologize, as this is not the correct module to be typing this account. Sorry for the inconvenience!

The name of the area is called Taghum and is popular for UFOs due to a series of hydro electric generating stations nearby.  Sincerely.

Thank you to the witness for their interesting report.

Long Shaped Object/UFO With Green Lights At NAS Pensacola Florida

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Approximately 1998.

Time:  Between 8:00 -10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: NAS Pensacola, Florida

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Long maybe round at ends.

Full Description of event/sighting: At work on Mustins Beach, co-worker and I sitting down on break facing the water noticed a long shape with green lights at the bottom flying fast and making no noise.

Absolutely not an airplane. I know and have studied planes also worked on the base for many years prior. Another co-worker was facing us and therefore saw and heard nothing.

As close as the object was flying this is seemingly impossible for there to be no sound. Also object was very fast, no sonic boom? Any information would satisfy my deep curiosity.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Aircraft Scrambled Over UFO Sighting At Lake Saint Claire Just Off Selfridge AFB Near Mt Clemens Michigan

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Winter of 1966 - 1967.

In 1965 it was common to see strange things flying around the radar dome up on the mountain. Often they did not show up on radar, but were visible just outside the dome itself.

Sometime in the Winter of 66-67 we had a couple of "things" flying over Lake Saint Claire just off Selfridge AFB, near Mt Clemens MI. They scrambled two F-106s and of course they caught nothing.

It is difficult when the other aircraft can suddenly accelerate to high speed and do and 90 degree turn at that speed.

The Air Force said it was swamp gas, and anyone who disagreed could stay in the base confinement (jail) until they realized they saw nothing. Like Sgt. Schultz on Hogan's heroes, I see nothing, nothing, nothing!

Thank you to the person for this information.

1970 UFO Bay Of Biscay Experience (Graphic)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Vike, being a retired art teacher, living in western Ohio, I am far removed from the events on the Bay of Biscay in 1970.

Yet the feelings I acquired then seem like they started yesterday.

The illustration comes very close to what appeared to me. Thank you.

Bay of Biscay Experience 1970

Amidships on a Destroyer there is low, flat, open space. The picture below shows, from an archive photo, the USS Dyess (DD-880). It was aboard this small craft that an incident occurred which will haunt me for the rest of my life.

From the front (bow), going toward the rear, there are two gun turrets. Behind those is a big complex of two towers, called the superstructure.

Immediately after that is a low, dark, sunken area. On that night in July, 1970, I sat alone above it on a set of steps, so that I was looking forward in the direction of the superstructure.

I couldn’t believe that I had this beautiful scene all to myself. Billions of stars and a brilliant full moon illuminated the calm, smooth ocean’s surface.

This setting was further enhanced by the balmy temperature. The absence of my shipmates was, at first, no concern.

Soon, however, I was confronted with something that would send me inside the nearest hatchway for cover.

The first sensation was that of being frozen in time. I was relaxed, yet found I was unable to move.

Then there suddenly appeared on the deck below me, about twenty feet away, a glowing, truly luminous cloud.

It was silent and its edges were yellow-green wisps. Spherical in form and not solid, but gaseous, it swirled inside as it hovered above the steel-plated deck. In my dreamlike state I lost track of the minutes.

The neon blue-green apparition had materialized in an instant, but then began slowly to transform, and darken, as it shrank down from twelve feet in diameter. While doing so, its semi-transparent nature thickened and the edges became well-defined.

Any haziness was replaced by a strange figure, human in size. The deep cyan vision had a full body, head, arms, legs, hands and feet, while it began to dance about joyfully. A performance that seems like it was yesterday, I recall it with trepidation now, forty-two years later.

What began without warning vanished just as quickly, leaving me alone and mystified.

Above: An illustration of the situation as it appeared.

Although reconstructed more than four decades after the event, to me this is of no concern, because the memory is as fresh as last night.

Although I did move inside after experiencing this, it was not due to fear.

Actually, the contact gave me a feeling of comfort and knowing.
