Date:  December 2005.

Time:  Evening.

Hi, I am (name removed) in Kenosha, Wisconsin and I reported a sighting. I was outside with my new Havanese Nate and a fog like ground cover came floating in and I looked up and was shocked out of my mind. 

There was what I described as a bent green bean of lights, red, yellow, green in the sky. I immediately ran inside the house. When I picked up the phone there was a noise like chopper blades in the phone. 

The next time I went outside I could see a round circle way up in the sky. 

I finally found a picture of what that green beam looked like.  I could not see anything underneath but the circular lights were the same.  Not the same color, but the same look.

Large Tubular Craft/UFO With Lights Disappears Into Fog Along The Kootenay River Nelson British Columbia

Date:  Approximately ten  years ago. (March 1997) (?)

Time:  About 6:10 a.m.

Message: Hello! I just found your site while browsing and thought I'd like to relate my UFO experience of approximately ten  years ago. Now retired, I once worked for the city of Nelson B.C.

I left for work one morning at my usual time of about 6:10 a.m. I believe it was early Spring, probably March. I had to drive about four miles west of town, pick up my work mate and then the two of us would continue to our work site just a couple miles west of town which is downstream on the Kootenay river. 

This morning was cool and the narrow valley we live in and at that time, can have patches of fog hanging above the river here and there. The road to my workmates home climbs up in the valley and I can get a view down towards the river.

As I'm travelling along, I looked toward the river and noticed what looked to me to be a large tubular balloon (like a sausage) with three large lights along its side. Each light slowly blinking a different colour.

Although I looked down toward it, it seemed to be floating along, perhaps 100 feet above the river in a horizontal direction downstream. Suddenly it disappeared as it entered into a patch of fog. 

I picked up my buddy, and mentioned it to him on our way to work. My best guess as to it’s size would be possibly five feet thick and twenty feet long, a ratio of 1:4. 

Two mornings later, he said that he also had seen it, the evening before. We couldn't figure it out, so soon forgot about it. I must apologize, as this is not the correct module to be typing this account. Sorry for the inconvenience! 

The name of the area is called Taghum and is popular for UFOs due to a series of hydro electric generating stations nearby.  Sincerely.

Date: Year 1984 or 1985. Time: Evening.

Year 1984 or 1985. The sighting was a long time ago, but I know it was reported in the local New Plymouth newspaper.

Approach Direction: Came from many directions high in the sky. Departure Direction: Vanished at close range (approximately 100 meters). Witness Direction: Southwest.

Description: I and a friend (who I have lost contact with) were waiting at the side of the road, approximately 1 hour north of New Plymouth (we had a motor cycle puncture, other friends had gone to get help). As the light faded and the night grew dark, we notice an intense white spot moving across the sky. 

Over a period of about one hour, the spot move in a number of direction high in the sky. At times the light spot would move slowly and speed up into a blur and vanish.

At some point, I had this strange feeling, I looked up at a house behind me that was located on a hill abut 100 meters away. The house was shrouded by fog and above the house hovered a large disk of light. 

There was no sound, but a white cone type beam (wide at the top, narrow at the bottom)was scanning the roof of the house. I looked back at my friend and asked him if he saw the same thing and he seemed very scared. I looked back at the house and the object has disappeared. In the local newspaper (I can't remember which one) the next day, many people reported sighting the object. 

To this day, I can't rationalize what I experienced. At the time of the sighting I was living in New Zealand working on the Maui offshore gas rig. I now live in Long Beach/Los Angeles, California, and work for the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal. EPA). 

I would like to hear from people and find out more information on what happened on that night. I have never forgotten the experience, and to this day I believe what I saw was real and not man made. Any further information would be greatly received.

Color/Shape: White, round, cone shaped beam of light coming out of center.

Height & Speed: very high to 50 meters off ground. Acceleration was very fast. Object became a blur on a number of occasions.

TV/Radio/Press: I did not report the incident, but I know it was reported in the local Taranaki newspapers. I can't remember exactly, but it was either 1984 or 85?
