Serviceman Observes UFOs Over Moody Air Force Base Valdosta Georgia And In The North Atlantic

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

I was stationed at Moody Air Force base in Valdosta, Georgia in the early 70’s. My job was training student pilots in the flight simulators I was assigned to. I was making a milk run for my family one evening in 1973, driving from our house to the base convenience store.

The sky was clear and if you know anything about South Georgia you know that the lay of the land is very flat. I observed an extremely fast moving light about 30 degrees above the horizon moving roughly south to north from the air base. I slowed down to watch what I now believe to be a UFO moving across the sky at an incredible rate of speed.

I observed the object abruptly change direction by what I would estimate to be 30 to 40 degrees to the east. Within just a few seconds the object was no longer in sight. About 30 to 60 seconds later I saw two chase planes leaving the air base in what appeared to be an attempt to intercept the UFO.

The planes used to chase the object are supersonic jet training planes. What I observed was an object that was moving at what I would estimate to be at least five times faster than the jets in pursuit. Result – not even a contest. UFO was gone!

After separating from the Air Force in 1978 I worked a few odd jobs in the electronics field. I acquired a job with the Naval Oceanographic office in 1981. I was an electronic technician assigned to an oceanographic research ship that surveyed the North Atlantic.

One cloudless October evening, about 2 hours before sunset while in the North Atlantic above the Arctic Circle, I decided to take a short break while there was a lull in the ship’s activities. I walked out to the fantail of the ship and sat with my feet hanging off of the starboard side of the ship.

The water was amazingly calm and clear. About a quarter mile from the side of the ship I observed the water glowing from below which as you might imagine immediately caught my attention.

Imagine an extremely bright spotlight shining up through crystal clear ocean water from a depth that was in the neighborhood of 8-10 thousand feet deep.

Within what I estimate to be about 2-3 seconds, a sphere of white light exited the water.

I would estimate the size of the object to be the size of a beach ball. As if that in itself was not amazing enough the object did not disturb the water at all upon exiting and was totally silent.

The object left the water and ascended vertically at an unbelievable rate of speed. I would estimate the time from exiting the water to moment the object disappeared from view into the clear evening sky to be less than 3 seconds.

Multiple Witnesses To Sighting Of Three Orange/Red/Yellowish Coloured Objects Port Moody British Columbia (Diagram)

Date:  2013
Time:  Approximately 8:00 p.m.

Hey, I was recently recalling the time I swear I saw a UFO and I was telling my dad about it and we decided to look it up and stumbled across this article ( http://canadaufo.blogspot.com/2013/01/unknown-orange-object-seen-in-cloudy.html?m=1 ) so I figured I’d tell you my experience.

It was 2013 and I was grade 7 and I was taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom and I was just standing in my backyard and I looked up and I noticed these three orange/red/ yellowish coloured things in the sky.

I was like “what the heck is that, can’t be a plane, definitely not a satellite” so I just continued to stare at them, they were in a triangular formation and from what I can remember they were slowly rotating positions, I was baffled, as I continued looking at them I watched them vanish right in front of my eyes, this encounter was in fact at around 8:00 p.m.

The next day I went over to my friends house and was telling her what I saw, then her dad came into the room and was like tell that again, so I told him my story and he was like “ I saw the exact same thing.

I was outside and these guys drove by and they asked me what I thought that was in the sky”, my friends dad then described the exact same thing I saw.

So not only did I see it, but so did three other people and I realized I was in fact not going crazy believing I saw aliens, but to this day I strongly believe I witnessed the presence of a UFO. Hope this helps in any way.

Additional Information and Diagram: This is not my photo but this is pretty much spot on to what I saw in Port Moody 2013.

Unknown Orange Object Seen In A Cloudy Sky Over Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  January 6, 2013
Time:  Approx: 8:20 p.m.

Yes, I saw a bright orange object in the sky in the Port Moody, BC area yesterday, January 6, 2013 at around 8:20 p.m.

My child pointed and said, "moon", but it was obviously smaller, so I suggested a "plane" instead.

Then realized that plane's lights are flashing and smaller and whiter in colour. The orange one was very bright and large. It was drizzling and it was too cloudy for any star. Even the planes do not fly that low. I was quite puzzled!

A ball lightning? Meanwhile, the object went seemingly smaller in size and within a minute or so, it disappeared, making a last twinkle before gone to invisible.

I studies some astrophysics at university, but could not think of an appropriate description or definition of the process. Some burning of some star, but again, with those low clouds yesterday, what could have passes into even a lower level?

Thanks for reading this. I hope to find out one day.

White Ball Of Light - UFO Knocks The Power Out At Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  September 23, 2012
Time:  8:40 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Ball.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was talking to my friend on the phone. She is in Port Moody at the brew street apartments. She was on her balcony and started freaking out because there was this white ball of light that was hovering over the building.

Then all the power went out and the phone went dead.

When she phoned me back, she said her phone suddenly drained of power (she had to plug it in to call me back) and the power in the apartment building went out. Once that happened, the ball of light started moving towards Rocky Point Park (the ocean) and just disappeared.

I asked her questions to eliminate the possibility of a police helicopter or search and rescue helicopter. There were no flashing lights or such.

White Lights Dispersed Into Four Separate Lights/UFOs Over Heritage Mountain Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  August 21, 2012
Time:  9:25 p.m.

Hi Brian, I live in Heritage Mountain, Port Moody and about five minutes ago (9:25 p.m.) I saw four white lights flying around the sky in an exact formation for over ten minutes.

They started in one large light then dispersed into four separate lights, flew around for about five seconds then come back into one light.

They repeated this over 50 times. I witnessed it while with my dad, and he saw it as well. I also saw that someone else has seen the same thing in another part of Port Moody.

Thanks for your time!

Flashes Of Light In The Sky Over Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  August 18, 2012
Time:  Evening.

I also saw white flashing lights that appeared to be in Earths orbit height, but moving only inches in the sky then totally disappearing.

I live off Moray Street south of St John Port Moody and looking strait up it would be at 1 o'clock.

I have often tracked satellites and ISS across the sky and I don't think this was either.

Some type of government experiment or weapon. I have seen this before approximately same height, but slightly different location. Would just like know.

Bright White Flashing Light In The Sky Over Coquitlam/Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  August 14, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I happened upon your site when I Googled “flashing lights, Coquitlam”. I’m always checking out the sky being the UFO believer that I am.

Anyway, last night around 9:30 p.m. I was driving home from the Airport through New Westminster and as I was going along Holmes I started to see a very bright white flashing light high up in the sky towards Coquitlam/Port Moody.

Since I thought I was driving towards it, I didn’t pull over to take a better look. It was really wild and and I could hardly believe my eyes.

Unfortunately I lost it once I got on to North Road. I drove up to Como Lake and along Como Lake trying to pick it up, but no luck so I drove home.

I should have stopped my car and filmed it with my cell, damn! This was no small blinking light. It was huge and blinked about it seemed every 10 or 20 seconds. Cheers.

Disk Shaped UFO Seen In The Sky From Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  August 14, 2012
Time:  9:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Disk.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My home is located on the north side of Port Moody. On the crest of a hill overlooking Ioco/Heritage Mountain plaza. I get a great unobstructed view of the south mountain range towards Coquitlam ( Como lake area).

Last night I was taking out the trash and happened to look in this direction. I saw a tiny flickering light object that caught my eye. (I thought I saw the same thing in a different part of the sky a few nights earlier).

This time I went back in the house and returned with some high powered binoculars. I could not believe my eyes, it was a disk shaped object rotating on it's side with extremely bright white, red and blue flashing lights.

It stayed in the same spot for over 20 minutes. During this time I had my sister and son also come outside to take a look. You could see this thing with the naked eye, but far better with the binoculars.

No sound, it was high in the sky, but not far up. Eventually it pulled away very slowly until it was just a hard to see dot. May be towards New Westminster or Coquitlam.

3 Bright Light Spotted Over Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  June 17, 2012
Time:  10:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 4
Shape of Objects: Flat lights/round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband was outside taking the dogs out for a walk in our Suter Brook townhouse area and he ran inside and called to me to come outside as well or I would "miss it".

I didn't know exactly what he meant until I went outside and saw 3 bright lights over the Port Moody/Coquitlam trees in the distance.

The lights were bright, but dimmed as they moved rapidly in and out of what seemed to be the main light, the biggest, brightest one. At one point there were about 4 of them moving around and this continued for about 20-30 minutes.

Hundreds Of Lights Viewed Traveling Over Port Moody/Anmore British Columbia (Picture)

Date:  February 18, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:56 p.m. - 9:20 p.m.

Hi Brian, approximately 8:56 p.m. - 9:20 p.m. (I sent my photo to a friend at 8:58 p.m. on my phone, but had watched for a few minutes prior)

I saw the same thing as reported here (below) by another individual. I too, was on Clarke Drive facing north over the inlet in Port Moody.

I managed to grab two photos, but didn't think to take video as I was so distracted by what I saw.

At first, I thought perhaps there was a large fire with burning debris blowing off and moving from an east to west direction over Port Moody/Anmore. I checked the news and saw nothing so I went to observe the event once again.

As I observed, I noticed these bright lights were moving with a mechanical purpose (it was not a fire or debris and it didn't seem possible to be fireworks or any such thing). The orbs were distributed evenly as they moved from east to west.

It appeared they had a set path and moved with an intended direction. Sometimes they appeared as a white light (like a star) and they would also change colours (red and blue).

The objects moved east to west in a singular line and then would spread out in a group formation.  Some lights moved straight up while others would move up and then down, sometimes coming together (in a very purposeful and careful way) and then moving apart.

As they moved upwards, only one bright light would disappear at a time.

This lasted 25 minutes or so. As the reporter indicates, there were hundreds over this time.

I am glad to know I was not the only one to see these and get some photos. If you would like photos, I can send these. They are only iPhone photos, but they capture some of these objects.

I would be curious to know if you have had further reports. As the display lasted for so long, I cannot imagine that others did not see these same objects on Saturday night.

Thank you!

Dozens Of Orange Red Lights Over Port Moody British Columbia

Date:  February 18, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Hello Brian. Last night, I was driving home from Mission by way of Coquitlam to drop off a co-worker before continuing on to North Vancouver. On the route I was taking, as suggested by Google maps, I missed a turn.

When I made a u turn to face the other way, there they were.

Dozens of orange or occasionally red lights, moving upwards and across the sky on a uniform course. They would ascend into view from a point below the line of buildings in front of me, and stay on that ascending trajectory, coming one at roughly regular intervals, but occasionally come in bursts of several to a dozen or more.

But always rose and moved across the sky in similar direction. All the lights also would  make it to a certain region in the sky where they would slow down, stop, drift a little, some even backtrack a bit, then fade out and disappear.

It lasted for about 15 minutes, and by the time it stopped I had seen probably close to a hundred lights, all behaving in this way.

I took several photos and several videos with my iPhone. They do not do justice to what the naked eye perceived, as always, but they do demonstrate what I saw.
I am just wondering if this is some sort of lantern festival or flare launching thing done in Port Moody.

I will tell you that I work as a special effects technician in the Vancouver film industry, and so I am knowledgeable and experienced in pyrotechnics and atmospheric effects.
In fact, that is what I was doing in Mission all week on a film, trying to create foggy atmospheric effects over a huge area in the woods, and so therefore trying to get lighter-than-air things like artificial fog to go where you want it and not where the winds want to take it is what we struggled with all day and all this week. And I can tell you it is very tricky, and sometimes it is outright impossible despite your best efforts.

So it was fresh in my mind how improbable this would be to have flares or some kind of very bright airborne lanterns or something to travel in such a uniform way, and not be scattered out in random directions as would be expected from something as fickle and capricious as wind.
Also, the speed with which they moved across the sky would suggest that, if they were wind-born objects, the wind would have to be very fast. Like storm or hurricane speed winds, and there was no such winds last night.

No, they're movement suggested to me that they were under guided control. It is possible they are some kind of military flares, fired from some kind of flare cannon, or even a battery of suck cannons, that could launch flares in rapid succession upon a planned trajectory at great speeds before they extinguish.

This may be so, but I know of no such cannon nor can I imagine what it's possible use could be, militarily or otherwise.

Here is a Google maps pin drop of where I was when I filmed the videos:

2700–2750 Clarke St
Port Moody‎ British Columbia‎ V3H 1Z5
Canada

And from this point I was facing north, looking at, from what I can tell from the map, Anmore.

From where I was it looked as though they were Marin "launched" from approximately here:

588–592 Ioco Rd
Port Moody‎ British Columbia‎ V3H 2W2
Canada

And extinguishing over the water north of approximately here:

588–592 Ioco Rd
Port Moody‎ British Columbia‎ V3H 2W2
Canada

I can of course send you the video and photos if you like. Again they aren't perfect but they clearly show what I'm talking about.

Please if you have any idea what these may be i would live to hear theories.

Thank you.
