In the Summer of 2009, me and a friend were in Rock Springs, Wyoming sleeping outside west of town on top of a large rock with no tent. At 2:00 a.m. we saw a light in the sky that looked like a star. It was so far away, we imagined it could've been in upstate Utah.
It moved to the left, then to the right quickly, and it zig zagged downward. It went on moving for hours, and we were able to validate each other. She would describe what she saw and then I would to make sure we were seeing the same thing. This went on for hours and I eventually drifted off to sleep, having to drive in the morn. She said it ended with a flash in the sky, it was gone.
