Time: 7:00 a.m.
Shortly after 7:00am this morning, I saw an intense blue light that was travelling a little faster than a plane and then it went out with a red flash. I live close to the airport in Calgary, but this was not a plane and too high up to be a flare of any kind.
If you have an idea of what it might of been please let me know, it's still bothering me and I'm trying to Google a reasonable explanation when I came across the Nov.6/10 post with your link. Sincerely.

Sounds like a helicopter. I don't dismiss all UFO-type phenomenon, I've seen my share of strange sights, but I live in Calgary too and I frequently see the helicopter flying around really fast as a bright blue light that sometimes changes to red, and then sometimes it simply shuts it's lights off and goes "out". It's almost impossible to tell that it even is a helicopter until it comes close enough for me to hear it.
