St. Catharines, Ontario Fireball Shoots Across The Sky

Posted: November 11, 2008

Date: First week in November 2008
Time: Approx: 7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: My home in St. Catharines (backyard).
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Fireball.

Full Description of event/sighting: Ball of light (No trail) faster than a plane. No sound at all. Rushed across the sky from east to west. The light was brighter than an airplane (we have several planes that fly over head and are used of the sight and sounds of them).

This is the second time that I witnessed this sort of light. The first being over 15 years ago. But then just two short days after I witnessed it for the third time in Burlington around 6:30am as I was headed for work. It was much faster this time and shot across the sky again headed westward. What are these fireballs? I have been reading today about several of these sightings and oddly comforted by the knowledge that I am not alone.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
