Amazing UFO Hovers Above The Mountainside Bridge River Lillooet British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Some of the sighting reports I will be posting are cases from past years. I found this report as well as others fascinating, also the person, in this case, Sourdough Sue Ward was such a delight and very interesting to speak to in a telephone conversation. This like other cases are buried in my Canada UFO Blog so I figured I would post some of my favorites.

 Winter of 1966,

Time 9:00 p.m.

Dear Brian, In 1966, finding myself alone, except for the family cat, Caboodle, after the family breakup and ultimate divorce, I traveled up the Fraser River Canyon to the small village of Lillooet, two hundred road miles north of Vancouver.

My former C.O. from my Army days, (name deleted), lived in a mobile home and worked with (name deleted) on her Bridge River-Lillooet News. I joined them, and having spent a month living over The News Office with (name deleted), I learned I could rent a dandy suite overlooking the Fraser River Canyon.

The sliding doors opened onto a wide sun deck. The P.G.E. rails were just beyond the fence at the end of the lot. When the 110 car freights rumbled by I was face to face with the engineers. I used to try to list the many boxcars, the rolling stock of railroads from all over North America in those pre computer days.

At nights no lights shone from the few homes scattered on the bench land below, on the other side of the tracks. The highway connecting Lillooet with the outside world was on the far side of the river. Came the darkness, the valley was pitch black except for the odd set of headlights of cars traveling into town. There was no road on the mountainside which loomed up on the town side of the canyon.

One winter Friday night my friend had walked over for a visit. The folks in the adjoining suite had the TV on for the Dean Martin Show which aired at 9:00 p.m. My friend relaxed in an easy chair from which she could see out through the sliding doors. I sat opposite on the chesterfield, too far back to share her view. As we chatted, she suddenly, turned her head, and, staring out through the glass door, exclaimed in a sharp voice, "What's that ?"

I jumped up quickly to share her excitement and immediately saw a huge red swirling ball with flaring red orange flaming edges coming towards us from above the west side mountain.

Grabbing the glass door catch I shouted "let's get out onto the deck," which we did. As we stood side by side, we watched the whirling fire ball hurdle towards us, so fast that we both ducked down, putting our hands on our heads as we truly expected to be hit as it crashed upon us. But, as we crouched and watched, the thing hovered "just above the mountainside" so to speak, spinning and flaring, to right, to left, to right again, for a few seconds.

It hesitated on the final jerk to the right, then in erratic short jumps, still spinning and flaring, it began to recede, grow smaller, to nothing, back into the sky from whence it had come.

We returned to the room, quite shaken up, and my friend snapped, "Exactly what did we see ?"

I put into words much as I have in this account, using my extended arm to describe the movement. "Exactly !" she snapped.

Being Friday night with everything closed for the weekend, we had no way of finding out if anyone else had shared the sight. The news was being printed, not in Lillooet, but in Fort St. John at Ma'sson Dan's newspaper shop, so nothing was "of the moment"

By the time the weekend was over and folks were back on the job, we felt rather foolish in speaking of our UFO encounter. Had we not rushed to the sun deck, causing us to be physically involved, had we just focused and seen it with our sight, we may well have pondered if we had seen it at all.

I recall when I saw the movie "Strange Encounters" some years back I thought the UFO props were not nearly as exciting as what we had shared on that Friday night in Lillooet, B.C.

It is now August 20, 2000 and in Houston Newspaper, Wednesday 9 August 2000 one Brian Vike is asking for news of any sightings "past or present" and as my friend passed on at 83, years ago, and I am now living in (location deleted) on the shore of (location deleted) at age 87, I decided to pass on our joint experience of that special Friday night in Lillooet. My friend would truly approve !

Low Hovering Orange/Red UFO Over Trinity School Port Hope Ontario

 Date:  May 2017

Time:  From 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m.

I saw this very big orange/reddish light in the sky last night hovering over Trinity school in Port Hope, Ontario. Definitely to big to be a drone, not a helicopter or plane and it was emitting a lot of light.

It was there from 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. and would disappear every 2 to 5 minutes. During that time small blinking objects would fly and hover in different directions at very different speeds. Then return and to form another large reddish, orange light.

The thing that really bothers me is that it was very low to the ground. I would say that it was only about 10-20 feet over the peeks of Trinity School. When together these lights would reappear slightly move to the left or right. At 4:00 a.m. the small blinking lights all headed towards Lake Ontario and vanished.

I was really spooked. I woke my husband and showed him and video taped as best as I could. It was very weird. Nothing I can explain!

3 Orange Colored Lights In The Sky Over Salmon Arm British Columbia

Date:  January 2014

Time:  Evening.

I can't get it out of my head, I saw 3 orange lights, here in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

It was a couple weeks ago and they were just hovering and in a row, in the night sky.

I was looking out the windshield trying to see better. I decided to pull over to get out and look because it was so bizarre, and they had disappeared. I could tell they weren't airplanes or helicopters.

4 Orange Colored Lights In The Night Sky Over Albany Oregon

Date:  October of 2014

Time:  Approximately 7:00 p.m.

I lived in Albany Oregon in October of 2014. At about 7:00 p.m. I left my house to go to work. It was already getting dark because of the time of year.

I got in my car to turn around to head out our driveway and saw 3 large orange orbs moving right up the area of my house. I immediately got out of the car to watch them.

I was amazed at what I was seeing. Two of the orbs were in a straight line on the left one above the other. The third orb was in a straight line to the right of the bottom orb on the left.

The color was almost a burnt orange with no other colors or lights visible. There was not sound coming from them at all. Their progression was slow and deliberate keeping the exact formation.

They reached almost over and past my house just a little and stopped. I was stunned at what I was seeing and just quickly looked around the neighborhood to see if anybody else was out watching this. As I looked over my shoulder I saw a fourth orb coming from the same direction as the 3, but maybe twice as fast.

It came to where the three were waiting and took the place directly across from the top left orb as a square. After that they once again were moving off in the direction past my house.

By the time I was able to get to the main road I could barely see them moving away and in the same formation. What a awesome experience I will never forget. Man made ? Not likely. Thanks for the chance to send you this account of what I witnessed.

Dim Light Making Circles In The Cloud North Of Regina Saskatchewan

Date:  October 2, 2020

Time:  Approximately 5:00 a.m.

Hi Brian, I saw exactly the same thing this morning around 5:00 a.m. to the south of Regina SK, it has lasted for about ½ of an hour since I have spotted it.

Further to my previous e-mail, it was not south of Regina, Saskatchewan it was actually north from Regina, I saw it in the angle of about 45 degree and looked to me like it was making nearly perfect circle.

4 Bright Orange Colored UFOs Seen In The Sky Over Oakville Ontario

 Date:  October 13, 2020

Time:  Approximately 8:30 p.m.

 Hello Brian, I understand that you keep a track on UFO's over Oakville.

 I believe that I saw 4 UFO's over my area (Trafalgar and Upper Middle Rd) yesterday October 13, at approximately 8:30 p.m.

They were bright orange in colour. No sound came from them.

They were definitely not aircraft or helicopters.

Has anybody else reported this to you ?

Boomerang UFO 1997 Over Pilot Butte Saskatchewan Canada (Excellent Diagram)

 Date:  1997

Time:  Evening (After Dark)

I was seventeen at the time travelling west bound on Highway #1 with a good friend (Danny) and his mother (Shelly) whom was driving. We had left Balgonie Greenall High School from which Danny and I either had basketball practice or a game, I can’t recall.

It was dark outside when we left the school gym and walked out the front doors to the car. Danny of course sat in the front with his mother and I had the whole backseat to myself. So I took up the middle of the back seat and put the lap belt on and laid my head back.

Shelly’s car had a steep sloped back window, possibly a hatch back style car. So when I laid my head back staring straight up through that sloped back window I scanned the stars as we left Balgonie.

After about a 1/2mile west past Pilot Butte I turned my head to the right and this V shaped object appears in the sky out of nowhere as if it was cloaked also heading west. Then these six round lights illuminated, three on each wing. The lights that illuminated were not bright. A nice soft illumination.

The V shaped object I’d have to say was about 100’-150’ feet wide from wing tip to wing tip and gliding at a altitude of 500’-700’ feet. The object wasn’t travelling super fast, but faster than 100kmh.

I watched it turn northwest and cloak out of sight. The short time I watched this object I never said to Shelly or Danny “Hey did you guys see that” only because it was a quick 10-15 second visual. I was in awe or shock, then it was gone.

Another friend of mine just the other day asked me if I’ve ever heard of the Pilot Butte Boomerang. I said, “no I haven’t, what’s it about”. He says a huge boomerang shape UFO that was sighted above Pilot Butte. My eyes got huge. Before he could tell me any other details of the story he read online I told him mine. So that’s how I found this site to post my story and what I seen that night.

UFO Sightings/Circling Object In The Sky Over Kentucky USA

Date:  September, 2011

Time:  Multiple times.

I thought I had sent this before, but wasn't sure. It’s been playing in my mind since the morning I saw it. 

This happened to me in September, 2011. I awoke from a deep sleep. I always leave my television on. Earlier that day, they announced thunderstorms moving into the city sometime through the night, and I love thunderstorms! I woke up about 1:20 or so.

Heading for the bathroom, I decided to look out my bedroom window to see if it was moving in. I could see that the wind had picked up, and you could see the bushes and hedges swaying back and forth. 

My window looked out over the backyard and into the park's soccer field. From my window I have a clear view as my room was on second floor. I also have a good view of neighbors' backyards. 

As I looked out the window, I simply look up toward the sky and saw it was quite cloudy (broken clouds, where parts of the dark sky could still be seen). To my surprise, there is this ball of light going round and round in a circular motion (clockwise). "It was behind the clouds"!

I watched this light for about 45 minutes to an hour, not realizing I had been watching that long. I looked out into the soccer field, and beyond. There was no one in the field at this time of the morning to be activating a "spotlight". I’ve seen many spot lights since I was a child.

I looked to my left and I could clearly see the nearby television station's antenna flashing red in the distance. I looked down into the neighbor's yards, and there was no one. 

This ball of light was hovered right over the soccer field. All of a sudden, it slowed itself down, as if I knew I was looking at it.

I continued watching it. Finally, I thought, “get your camera and see if you can get photos”. I grabbed my canon pure shot, as it had a video setting. So, I started video taping what I was seeing. I was afraid to leave for fear it would disappear. I was pumped and excited at what I was witnessing!

I continue watching it, all of a sudden this fear came over me out of nowhere. I immediately closed the curtains and went back to bed. Grabbed my laptop and began searching to see if anyone else had seen anything like this.
 

The next morning, I’m lying there and all of a sudden, I remembered the video. I got my laptop, popped the video card into it and watched. There it was! Not the best video, as it was dark, but you can see it.

So, I started searching the internet again, and again, and again. For months. Then one day, I came across your article. I swear, I felt like I had hit the lottery!
 

Now a few months before this sighting, I started seeing strange lights in the skies, day and night. Some looked like the headlight of an airplane, but as you are watching it, the light goes out and there is absolutely nothing there!
 

I had one friend who I could talk with about these kinds of things, as she always had an open mind. Anything in this world is highly possible, she would say.

She would also say to me, “if they want you to see them, they will let you see them, but if they don’t want you to, you won’t”. She was a witness to a few light sightings as it all started while sitting on her front porch.

One night, sitting on her porch, several of us were sitting there talking and I kept getting this flash out of corner of my eye. It happened two to three times, so I started looking in that direction. Then one of the ladies asked me," are you seeing something?” “You keep looking over to your left and up to the sky".
 

So, I told them what I was seeing. Although it was night, there were some clouds, and there was one in particular that was quite big.  Behind that cloud a light kept coming on, as if someone was holding a flashlight on the other side and cutting it off and on. The light would come on, stay for a few seconds, then go out.

It would stay off, longer than it would stay on. So, we all decided to watch the cloud. All of a sudden, it happens again, and others witnessed it.  Then shortly after, coming from the west, was a little twinkling object, which could have been mistaken
for an aircraft headlight, or shooting star. 

We kept looking, and we saw this lighted object head directly for the cloud where we saw the light.  Not too far behind the object, were 3 jets following the same direction.

They too went toward the cloud, but they came out the other side of the cloud. The lighted object went behind that cloud, and never came out the other side. This was my first episode with “the light in or behind the clouds”. That ball of light, was never seen again, and its now 2020. I know it was not a “Spotlight”, and I know it was not “ball lightening”. 

I’ve always found the night sky’s amazingly beautiful!

Now, I find myself always looking to the skies; particularly the clouds. I truly believe they (whoever they are) use the clouds to hide themselves because they simply can.  I know it has been years since this has happened, and I still search the internet looking for anyone else who has witnessed such a thing.

4 Bright Orange/Red Lights Rise Up In The Eastern Sky Over Olalla Washington

Date:  May 24, 2020

Time:  Approximately 9:50 p.m.

I don’t know if this is still an active account, since the article I just read was from 2013, but it describes perfectly what we saw last night, May 24, 2020, at about 9:50 p.m. 

We are in Olalla, Washington. Last night my husband noticed four bright orange/red lights rise up from the east of us, then approach our area to the west. 

He notified me to look, and we watched them approach. They were moving in a manner as a helicopter, but no green or red lights. 

We went outside, and they were probably within a quarter of a mile from us and they were completely silent. One by one they just vanished. 

Any information you could provide would be much appreciated.  It was a little unnerving!

Multiple Witnesses To Sighting Of Three Orange/Red/Yellowish Coloured Objects Port Moody British Columbia (Diagram)

Time:  Approximately 8:00 p.m.

Hey, I was recently recalling the time I swear I saw a UFO and I was telling my dad about it and we decided to look it up and stumbled across this article ( http://canadaufo.blogspot.com/2013/01/unknown-orange-object-seen-in-cloudy.html?m=1 ) so I figured I’d tell you my experience.

It was 2013 and I was grade 7 and I was taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom and I was just standing in my backyard and I looked up and I noticed these three orange/red/ yellowish coloured things in the sky.

I was like “what the heck is that, can’t be a plane, definitely not a satellite” so I just continued to stare at them, they were in a triangular formation and from what I can remember they were slowly rotating positions, I was baffled, as I continued looking at them I watched them vanish right in front of my eyes, this encounter was in fact at around 8:00 p.m. 

The next day I went over to my friends house and was telling her what I saw, then her dad came into the room and was like tell that again, so I told him my story and he was like “ I saw the exact same thing.

I was outside and these guys drove by and they asked me what I thought that was in the sky”, my friends dad then described the exact same thing I saw.

So not only did I see it, but so did three other people and I realized I was in fact not going crazy believing I saw aliens, but to this day I strongly believe I witnessed the presence of a UFO. Hope this helps in any way.

10 To 12 Objects/UFOs And Boomerang Shaped Craft Over Hamilton Ontario

Date:  May 1, 2020

Time:  Evening.

Hi Brian, this is (name removed). We have been in contact in the past. I live in Hamilton Ontario. I had another sighting just last night.

My 15 year old daughter and I witnessed 10-12 orb like UFOs bouncing and moving around in the sky. They originated around the Big Dipper. They seemed to all move southbound.

After a while we weren’t really seeing anymore. Just as we were about to go back in the house an enormous boomerang shaped craft emerged about 500 feet above us.

It was silent and had not lights. It seemed to reflect the sky. It was moving slowly. Looked like a wave going through the sky. We saw it for about 10 seconds and suddenly it vanished. I made a report to MUFON.com.

However in order to read reports on this site I have to pay. What are your suggestions for reporting this absolutely astonishing siting?

Multiple UFOs Make Unusual Maneuvers In The Sky Over San Anselmo California

Date:  2012

Time:  Evening.

Hi Brian, I know this was 8 years ago, but I've recently been thinking about this event. The memory just came back to me after not thinking about it for years, and now I'm thinking of it regularly.

To recount, my wife and I and another couple were walking up our driveway on Kenrick Drive. I remember looking back down the hill, not sure why, when I spotted something that I still can't explain to this day. 

I saw 5 (maybe 6, but I remember 5) unidentified objects in the sky. They were in formation, 2 on top and 3 staggered directly below if memory serves, and appeared to be hovering or moving very slowly.

It seemed like we were looking at the rear of the objects, where rectangular horizontal orange lights were visible. The lights looked like squiggly, vibrating energy of some sort.

I told the other people I was with, and we all saw them. None of us had any explanation for what they could possibly be. We observed them for a minute or so, when they all began to move off in perfect unison. 

They moved slowly at first, then they seemed to streak out of sight very quickly. We all looked at each other dumbfounded. It dawned on us that we most certainly had seen UFO's, and more than likely had seen craft from somewhere other than our own planet. 

I'm curious to know how many reports you may have compiled on this event, and if there is any way I could look at them?

Bizarre Pulsating Object Seen Over Catfish Creek Southwestern Ontario

Date:  March 25, 2020

Time:  Early evening.

Hello Mr. Vike, I'm writing you this evening to report a definite UFO sighting; the first sighting that I can say for certain advanced technology. Please see my reported description below:

I live in a very rural area of southwestern Ontario, in a broad lower river valley know as Catfish Creek, less than 2 kilometres north of the northern shore of Lake Erie, near Port Bruce, Ontario.  I went for a walk this evening in a neighbor's creek valley, to get exercise and to look for whitetail deer shed antlers. 

Upon return home, I made my way through the neighbor's field edge and then to the main road (Jamestown Line) that leads to one of the winding hills leading down the ridge into the broad lower valley where our farm is situated. 

Just as I was the crest of the hill leading down into the valley, and before descending down into the valley, a bright streak of a light caught my eye. I later realized that it appeared as a streak because the light was fairly slowly pulsating as it appeared, and my movement made it appear as a streak. 

But then I stood still, anticipating seeing the light appear again, as is usually the case with evenly-timed flashing lights of an overhead airplane passing by, but it took longer for me to see the light reappear than any aircraft I've seen before. 

When it did reappear (about 2-3 seconds later), it was in a different location than I would've predicted. I expected it to be farther along a straight flight path because of longer timed intervals, but it actually appeared in an entirely non-predictable location somewhat farther to the left. 

At least 2 or 3 seconds later, the pulsating light reappeared again, but farther to the right and somewhat higher (the light seemed to be moving away at a low angle, so I expected it to reappear somewhat lower, not higher, the next time it reappeared, if it was following a straight flight path leading away from me). 

There was another non-uniformly timed interval before the pulsating light reappeared again, and again in a random position that my mind would not have expected if it were following a straight flight path. 

This pulsating light gradually brightened when it appeared and then gradually faded, which took approximately 1-2 seconds maximum in total time during each I saw it appear. 

I estimate that I saw the pulsating light appearing and disappearing in unexpected random positions, and at random time intervals between pulsations (intervals between pulsations ranged between 3 - 6 seconds); pulsations occurred approximately 8 different times.  And then I did not see the light reappear again at all, and it if was an aircraft, I would definitely have continued to see the aircraft's light continue to flash, consistently, quick-flashing, and for a much longer duration, before it traveled beyond visible distance.  But this randomly somewhat gently-pulsating, random positioned light just suddenly stopped reappearing in the plain open sky. 

This was not an aircraft. It is physically impossible for any aircraft to move in the pattern that this (or these) pulsating light(s) appeared and I would've been able to follow the flight path of any aircraft for much longer than I viewed this pulsating light. 

It was pure clear sky, and yet it suddenly stopped appearing in random staggered locations in a manner that would be impossible for any typical aircraft escaped my continued viewing. 

The random timing between the pulsations, and the random, unpredictable or staggered locations, makes me absolutely certain without any mistake that this was not lights from an aircraft from our planet. 

This also was not any satellite, nor helicopter. I looked at videos of Chinese lanterns and this was not like any of the videos showing Chinese lanterns, and I live in a very remote, rural area, and the location where I saw these lights excludes that as a possibility. 

I'm very overwhelmed by what I saw. I immediately knew that I was viewing very advanced technology, it was just a feeling I had while I was viewing this event.

Light Seen On Numerous Occasions Over Huntley Prince Edward Island

Time:  Evenings.

Hello, I was researching on the web about a light I’ve been seeing over my house for a few weeks now, and I saw your post.

My husband claims he has seen it for months. We know this light is not a star and is not in outer space either. Sometimes it shows up right in front of my house (facing south) and at other times we see it on our backyard (northwest).

This means that it changes position. However, during the sightings it appears to be a static object.

My husband took pictures of it with his cellphone, but the quality isn’t great.
