Black Rectangle UFO Viewed From West Jet Flight Between Prince George And Vancouver British Columbia

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, "Flying Briefcase" is the best description I can give of what I saw high above the mountains of British Columbia.

The recent reports that have been sent in by others, about black rectangles, has brought back this episode to  mind.

I'm not sure, but think it was likely in December around 1999 or 2000. I could be quite incorrect on the date. I just know it was a while ago.

I was flying south from Prince George to Victoria as a passenger on a regular West Jet flight. We left Prince George in relatively clear sky but as we neared the Coast Mountains the cloud cover below increased. We were flying in sunshine well above the clouds, probably at an altitude  of around 30,000 feet.

My seat was near the back of the plane on the right side and I had my face pressed against the window for most of the flight. I was watching for any gaps in the clouds below, so I was looking directly down. We were traveling in a south west direction so the sun was not shining on my side of the plane.

That is when I saw the "briefcase" fly past, right below the wing. If it had been much more underneath the plane it would have been out of my line of sight. 

I saw it for only a second but the rectangular shape and black color was very definite against the backdrop of white clouds below. Instinctively I turned my head towards the back of the plane where it had disappeared, but of course saw nothing.

My thought progression went something like this. "Oh, someone lost a briefcase. A cargo door must be open"   followed by "Don't be silly, it must have been a very big bird. Lucky we didn't hit it!" and "I wish we could turn around and take another look".

I sat bemused for a while, acknowledging to myself that I don't think any birds really fly that high and even if they did, I don't know of any that are shaped like a rectangle! I knew it wasn't lost luggage. I've already been on a plane flying out of Prince George that had an open door in the cargo area. Believe me, we noticed!

I don't know if anyone else saw the shape. The pilots might have since we flew right over it, but they certainly weren't going to get on the intercom and say something like" Wow! Did any of you see that black thing we almost hit? I wonder what it was?"

Since that time I've periodically thought about finding someone who has skills in physics. I certainly don't. I would like to be able to calculate the size of the object.  I know it was actually much larger than a briefcase. 

At the speed we were going I imagine a briefcase  would have been no more than a quick black flash, if that. I feel the shape was quite close to the plane because of the speed it passed by. I've been in jets when I've looked out to see other large jets going the opposite direction not far below us. They are visible and easily identifiable for a relatively long  time. 

As far as I know we were about 30,000 feet and traveling around 400 mph. I don't know how high the clouds were but we were well above them. The object was between us and the clouds.

So my physics question is. Assuming the object was stationary and within a  thousand feet of the plane, at the speed we were going, how big would it need to be to appear to be the size of a briefcase.

Any help on that?

Witnesses Observe 8 Round Red Lights Over Franklin Idaho

Time: 10:30 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time).

Location: Franklin, Idaho.

Full description of event/sighting: I walked out of our house onto the west-facing porch to turn off our Christmastime lights. We live in a "dark-sky" neighborhood along Highway 91.

There was a light ground fog in the area at the time and a fairly low cloud cover that had parted for a clear view to the north. An emergency-services vehicle was not visible, but apparently parked on a street to the northwest, with it’s blue-red lights flashing, possibly in response to earlier launches of aerial fireworks. There were no fireworks activities at 10:30 p.m.

But I saw through the parted cloud cover eight very bright red lights to the north-northeast. They were flying, or drifting, with little or no noise, above the altitude of the cloud cover in pairs but in staggered lines.

I called my wife outside to also view the formation. (The lights reminded me of nighttime helicopter flights from west of Interstate 15 along the northern base of the San Gabriel/San Bernardino Mountains, in Southern California's High Desert, toward MCAS Twentynine Palms; these New Year's Eve lights' heading was oriented south toward Hill Air Force Base.)

After going back inside, I went outside again about 5 minutes later to see that the lead pair or pairs had disappeared above my overhead cloud cover and the trailing pairs were still rising or approaching closer on a steady course.

They emitted no or slight rotor/engine sounds, especially dampened by the weather conditions. I was not able to identify the aircraft or objects displaying the lights.

Jets Approach Hovering Metal Looking Tube UFO Belleville Ontario

Location of Sighting: Benjamin and Yeamon street in Belleville.

Shape of objects: Like a tube, but it had a bottom like a disk.

Full Description of event/sighting: My friend and I were driving down Yeamon street in Belleville Ontario when my friend said, "look at that". I looked, but didn't see anything.

He turned the truck down off of Yeamon street going down to my place and he said to look between the buildings as there was something in the sky. I looked and I couldn't see anything. 

My friend drove up to another house and in-between the houses I see a silver, or metal looking tube just sitting there in the sky. It looked like it was a tube at first, but than I noticed it looked like the glare from the metal. It was moving and almost like the thing was spinning.

I then noticed it tilt and I seen it had a bottom. I only noticed it tilt for a second, then it went back to normal and started moving slowly away. We drove to follow it and saw it again between the next two houses.

Then the flight path it was on, or should've been on was gone because when we went drove to the next break in the houses, there was nothing there and that's not possible.

This thing had to fly like a hummingbird as it made no noise and judging from the size of the bottom and how close it was it should've made noise. I live near Trenton airbase and about 3 minuets after I saw the object. I saw 3 jets fly in the sky upwards and in a triangle around were I saw the object.

Two Ring Shaped UFO Skips Across The Bottom Of The Clouds Bay of Fundy Nova Scotia

Brian Vike’s Note: Below the witnesses reported sighting I have added more to the event as I picked up the telephone and called the witness just after the person's email came in. This is some wild sighting, but darn interesting.

Full Description of event/sighting: Myself and 2 other witnesses were sitting in the back yard, as a huge cloud bank moved over our heads. This is weather pattern that usually happens 3-5 times a week. As we watched the clouds, the first of two objects flew directly over our heads. 

It headed in a true north direction. This was followed by another object which headed more to the east of true north. These objects skimmed the underside of the cloud bank. the light omitted from the craft, was a camera flash intense white light. These objects traveled 10 times faster than any jet we have seen. There was no lightning in the area that evening.

The witness and a couple of friends were sitting outside enjoying the evening when they noticed a cloud bank come rolling in, nothing unusual about this as the witness said the cloud bank rolls in every night and a while later the cloud bank usually dissipates. The witnesses all sat watching the cloud cover when they saw a light, a ring shaped object flying sideways coming out of the bottom of the cloud. 

The witness said the ring shaped object would skip off one cloud and then another as it traveled along. 

The fellow estimates the ring shaped objects was at approximately 1000 feet above the three people. 

The man stated again that it looked exactly like a ring with light emitting off the ring itself. The witness said he was in air cadets and has flown in numerous military aircraft and this object was flying at a fast rate of speed, faster than a military jet aircraft. Also there was light trailing off of the strange object.

Brian Vike’s Note: Try to picture this event, the ring shaped object was "not" moving threw the cloud cover, it was "just" below the bottom part of the cloud cover and skipping off the bottom parts of the clouds. 

The object traveled due north, now at this point of the strange event everyone started freaking out, jumping all over the place I am sure with a range of emotions after observing this unusual event. Between 30 seconds and one and a half minutes later, or following the ring shaped object passing overhead, another object exactly the same shape and size came into view in an easterly direction.

Also the witness mentioned that they see a bright orange orb type object fly every night across the bay and on different trajectories and it will even turn in the sky and travel off in a all together different direction.

Flying Saucer Shaped UFO Seen While Vacationing Barbados

Full Description of event/sighting: I was vacationing in Barbados 1972 and while sitting by the beach I noticed a orange/red light which I thought was an aircraft, however as it got closer I decided it was an alien object.

As it got closer to me it suddenly stopped, at which time it appeared to be about 2 feet in diameter. It stayed in that position for about 2 to 3 minutes and than it suddenly dropped which I figured about 20 feet.

It stayed in this position for again about 3 minutes when it suddenly took of to the left of me and disappeared. No witness and never mentioned it, only to my wife.

Some years later while watching a program on TV I saw the very thing which I had seen.

Triangular Craft/UFO With Three Lights One In Each Corner Bangalore Karnataka India

Full Description of event/sighting: It was April end, but I can't remember the exact date. Even it has been more than 6 years I am submitting this information to you because at that time I didn't know of such internet facilities and don't know that UFO are available online. So let me start my story. I and my 2 friends were sitting outside in front of our room in Dharwad (a city in Karnataka in India). I was studying my secondary in this city and I was staying with my roommates in the room. We were sitting outside our room on the road. There was a heap of sand on the road which was put for some construction work.

I and my two friends were chatting about some matters. Suddenly our room owners son came out of his house to go to the washroom. He was doing his business on the road and we were teasing him. After that we turned our attention and were busy chatting. Suddenly that little boy pointed to the sky and said " See a big Airplane!" he shouted. All at once we all looked at the sky and saw a strange object. It was neither a plane or a helicopter. But was in triangular shape with 3 lights on each end. It was so close that I would have caught it if I was on a second story building.

It was cruising towards a hill on which our college was located. We chased it up to 4-5 minutes, but we couldn't climb the mountain so fast. And it was approximately 30-40km/hr moving faster. At last we climbed the mountain after 20 minutes suspecting that it would have landed on the mountain, but it was not there. It disappeared in the clouds.

That was mind blowing. We were sure it was a UFO (non-human made). The whole night we didn't sleep. The next morning we shared these experiences with our friends, but know one believed us. But we three were confident as to what we witnessed. The next day a Daily News paper reported a UFO sighting, and after that every one believed.
