Daytime Fireball With Tail Observed Over Vernon British Columbia

Date: February 9, 2008

Time: Between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

I believe I saw the same daylight fireball February 9 near Vernon, BC. It was between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. I was walking towards my house when I saw a bright white light in the sky to the north.

It seemed quite low to the ground and quite close to Vernon, and was heading on a downwards trajectory of about 45 degrees.

It was too large and too bright to be a plane, so I assumed it had to be a meteor. It never diminished in brightness during the time I was able to see it, and I actually saw a trail of what looked like smoke behind it.

There was also a reddish light that could have been flame. Eventually it got low enough in the sky that the other houses in the neighborhood blocked my view, and I have no idea whether it continued flaming or made impact anywhere.

I haven't heard of anyone else in Vernon so far who observed it.

Multi Colored Lights Seen Over Hardy Mountain And Christina Lake British Columbia

My friend and I used to watch UFOs at Hardy Mountain a few summers ago, they were the same ones with the flashing multi coloured lights (red, green, yellow etc.)

We also saw quite a few out at Christina Lake those ones would be one blinking white light following another around the sky then one would flash really bright and they would both disappear.

I too am not crazy.

Bright White Object Shot Red And Green Streaks Of It Over Toronto Ontario

I saw a light with a very similar description last night (February 14, 2009) in the western sky in Toronto. It was a very large, incredibly bright white light.

The light had these streaks that came off of it and it almost looked like every once in awhile it would shoot red and green streaks of light outwards from it. I saw it flicker and get very small, then get huge and very bright again.

I also saw it flash red. It sat there perfectly still but was too close to be in space, it was just sitting in the sky. We watched it for a long time, it seemed to drift slightly.

Then we saw the lights from planes flying near it and heard helicopters over head. It was to the west, and watching it made me feel very, very peaceful. The thing was beautiful. What is this thing?

White Ball With Tail Streaking Through The Sky Over Predator Ridge Golf Course Vernon British Columbia

my wife and I were driving north on Highway 97 at Baileys corner at the turn off to Predator Ridge golf course at about 4:30 p.m. Monday February 9, 2009 and we saw a large bright white ball streaking through the sky westward and descending.

It had a long trail of what looked like fire trailing behind. the sun was very bright and at first it almost appeared to be an aircraft possibly on fire but it was travelling at an incredible speed.

It disappeared behind the hills and out of sight.

Bright Object Seen In Daytime Over Toronto Ontario

Hi all, I also saw this light in sky in Toronto, Canada at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday February 15, 2009. It was so bright and would sort of flash. It was not a steady light. I watched it for a full five minutes and it did not move at all in the sky.

I have never seen anything this bright in sky in the middle of the afternoon that did not move.

After reading other entries I feel that a few people have also observed this Light/Object over the past few days. I would like to share thoughts as to what it might be so if you have also observed this please call me at, (Phone number removed).

Bright Light Over Fowlers Corners Ontario (Either A Planet Or Bright Star)

I saw that bright light also. I was standing on my brothers deck with my sister and brother on an annual siblings weekend in Fowlers Corners. We were keeping my brother company as he was running the barbeque.

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed what I thought at first was a comet, then it came to a stop and sat there. When we came out about an hour later it was gone.

This was on February 14. On February 15 at around the same time. The bright light was there again, then gone. I just looked out right now and showed my husband.

It is 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 16th the bright light is in the sky again. West. Too bright for a star. Can someone please tell me what it is. Is it a satellite?

Multiple Lights Flying At Great Speed Seen From Kingston To Sydenham Ontario

A few years ago my entire family with their spouses, about 8 to 10 of us, were driving from Kingston to Sydenham in three vehicles and were watching multiple lights flying at great speed ahead and beside of us.

We actually pulled over for a while to watch them, it was the most eerie thing I've ever seen.

They would quickly change direction, at apparent 90 degree angles, and travelled great distances in very little time.

We chat about this as a family every once in a while, and still have no idea what it was we saw.

My husband and I saw it too. We live just north of London Ontario. We saw it around 9:30 p.m. and watched it for a while. It just sat there and didn't move.

But every now and again it seemed to turn or shoot something out from it.

Object As Brilliant As The Sun Seen Over Toronto Ontario

I saw something strange in the sky in 5 July in Toronto sky. It was so brilliant like sun, but around midnight. how could this be the sun ? My friend told me that was moon, but moon its not orange color and shiny.

In 3:00 a.m. even it couldn't be sun, because it was disappear after 10 minutes. Is there anyone who knows about that?

Planet Like UFO With Rings Around It Seen Over Nanaimo British Columbia

Wow, my girlfriend and I experienced nearly the same thing last night. We saw a light traveling west to east at around 9:30 at night with no noise and at a odd slow speed. It looked as though it stopped and start to come down.

Maybe a 100 yards east of where we were standing I ran in the house to get a camera. When I came out the light was shining at us and getting larger. It looked like an 'O' with the center black. As I was attempting to take the picture, it sped off going east and disappeared in a few seconds.

The picture I took shows what looks like a tiny planet with 1 or more rings around it. Weird.

Black Triangle Over A.W. Campbell Park Near Alvinston Ontario

Time: 1:30 a.m.

I lived in Alvinston which is situated in close proximity to Forest. I have seen exactly what you reported, however, this was at night at A.W. Campbell Park at about 1:30 a.m. in the Summer. I was camping with my karate class and we had about 6 or 8 witnesses to the event.

The UFO was black and perfectly triangle in shape. It flow just over the treetops and moved very slowly. It made no sound whatsoever. The triangle passed directly overhead, blocking out the night sky. It moved graciously, slowly and silently.

There were lights at each tip of the Triangle, and bore no marks or flashing lights that would indicate it being terrestrial. It was in 1988, I remember it clearly.

North of Newmarket, Ontario at 9:10 p.m. August 24, 2009. I witnessed a fireball/meteor, it was very vivid and close to the ground.

Flash Of Blue And White Light Over North Whitby Ontario

My mom and I, and my brother saw a flash of light that was white and blue and looked like a camera flash in the middle of the sky. The were no clouds, aircraft just clear sky when this happened. It happened at around 9:20 p.m. on August 24 2009. We live in north Whitby and don't know if anyone else saw this light given our location.

You can see the weather patterns for this location and see that there were clear skies.

We also saw last night in South Etobicoke, on the edge of Mississauga. A bright light shoot across from south to north. Then around 11:15 p.m. there was a huge flash.

Flaming Orange Object With Tail Over Qualicum Beach British Columbia

Date of sighting, the 24th

I also live in Qualicum Beach. Tonight my son and I saw a strange light in the sky. Last Thursday we saw the same type of light, but that night a second light appeared.

My son noticed the light first on both occasions. The first time we saw it, I thought it may have been a fire of some kind. It was a flaming orange colour and it seemed to vary its intensity. It appeared as if it was travelling towards us.

It was very low in the sky, just above some trees. A second light appeared a few minutes after we began watching. This light seemed whiter and was much smaller.

It vanished before the orange light did. Tonight, we saw the same orange light in the sky. It appears just above the tree line. We viewed it for about 3 minutes or so and it just disappeared again. Looking through a pair of binoculars, it appears to have some sort of a smoke trail.

It seems to stay in the same place although, it may move up and down. We are wondering if anyone else has seen these lights or if they may have an explanation for us. Thanks.
