Hey not sure who to talk to about this and I Googled about sightings over Manhattan and saw your link, so just giving you some information. Tonight at around 9:15 as I was driving west to Manhattan I saw 4 orange lights that did not appear to be moving.
I know Manhattan is close to Fort Riley so that could be the answer to this, but I just found it peculiar from the way it looked. There is no way it was a plane and I guess the only other explanation would be that it was either something from Fort Riley or a true UFO. Who knows.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On three separate times I saw exactly as described on this web site, large round balls with a corona, this was followed by a plane.
The 2nd and third at different times were silent, fast moving and large, I am surrounded by plane traffic from Heathrow and local planes from Fairview airport.
What I saw from my 15th floor balcony were not planes or helicopters, they were large, fast moving and glowing.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were outside when he told me to look up there was an orange light coming straight at us across the sky moving fast.
As it passed over head it flickered like a fire ball and as we watched it literally just disappeared. 10 minutes later a second one appeared, he ran for binoculars and it made a 120 degree turn and disappeared in the night sky.
Once it turned you did not see the light anymore. You could clearly see it turn.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, I have been fortunate to witness three separate UFO sightings, through my life, plus several other unexplained things in the skies, but when I was around 8 years old, I got to see a 20 foot round disk hovering in between the shed and our house.
My whole family saw it too and while it was totally silent it was spinning very slowly and moving away until it vanished behind the tree belt at the back of our house block.
It was a silver metal and had portholes, but not sign of movement. The second sighting was above the house and very high up. An object with multiple coloured lights was just sitting there for some time and eventually just shot straight up within a few seconds and it had gone.
There was no sound, again, and obviously a round disk shape.
The third sighting I had was a huge 1 kilometer long silent black cigar, hanging above the entire town I was from. I watched it for about 10 minutes then it just vanished.
I consider myself to be really lucky to have witnessed these strange things and hope to see more in my lifetime.

Full Description of event/sighting: Driving home on country road when lights were sighted behind a tree, about 40 feet up and about 40 feet in front of us. We stopped our vehicle, it lowered and moved directly in front of us over road. Flashing blue and red lights and a beam of light from under it, beaming onto road in front of us. It hovered over road directly in front of us.
We were actually having a terrifying encounter with this thing. Who was going to make the next move? My sister, who was driving wanted to turn around and go back down the road towards town. I knew not to get under the beam. I knew if we tried to go back it would get over us. I told my sister to make turn into upper driveway to our house.
We had to go toward the UFO, and it lowered more and began to come toward us, but we swerved a sharp right to turn into the driveway. We were terrified!
We parked our car, my sister on driver's side ran to house, saying "it is not a helicopter. It makes no noise!" I opened passenger side, and running around back of vehicle, looked up straight ahead of me. The UFO is directly in front of me, very close to the ground, just hovering. No beam of light underneath now, but a grey blue light all around it.
It was between the house and garage buildings, just hovering there. It was about 30 feet wide. I was sort of mesmerized by it. We try to account for the time. Just remember suddenly again being behind my sister on the porch as she was trying to open the door with the keys, surprisingly so calmly.
Afterwards, we both realized it must have been directly over our vehicle in the driveway because we did not see it go down the road in front of us. Also, a funny thing was my sister had been frightened by these things hovering low near the radio tower on the road and had been practicing parking here vehicle facing the road and practicing opening the door as quickly as possible. It hovered a few minutes, then very, very slowly moves up and away from me over tree tops. A very, very whisper of sort of an electrical generator sound.!
The next day the tree it hovered over before slowly moving toward road had the leaves all drooping and looked dried out. And a circle on the grass where it hovered. There are always these strange "flashing stars" in the area all the time, and my sister is very frightened of these things. Even before this encounter.
Like she has had some "experience" with them before or something. She would point at them and tell me "those are not stars!" And every night they are still there, some hanging very low, not at a great distance. These "flashing stars" are also here in Branson, Mo. I see them every night. Just hovering in the sky all the time. Not sure if these are military vehicles or what. But this is very frightening.
I had been in New York for only a short time when this happened and we did not go out after dark after this. Did research on the Pine Bush UFO sightings over the years. Know top military experimentation facilities in the area. Researching more very interesting information about the area and military and government experimentation and facilities.
I have found information on a UFO crash in the area in 1965, and military people came on our property about that time to search for something. I remember my dad and I watching the UFO's in the sky from out kitchen windows in the 60's and 70's, usually a cluster of three or so.
They would hover and then suddenly just take off really fast to nowhere. But couldn't talk about it then. Now look at the talk on the internet. No, we are not crazy. This is really happening. But what and who are they? Sort of makes me proud when my sister and I can say "two blondes out maneuvered a UFO" ! What would the brunettes have done?
Joking about it now. But it was the most terrifying experience of my life. We thought we were going to die. We were hysterical, crying a screaming. Now I see them here too. Why is no one, like scientists and "star gazers" not talking about them? I can easily pick them out.
They just hang in the sky for hours, and have flashing pulsating red and green lights. And there is sometimes a larger very bright white thing with them. Are many other people reporting these things to you also? On the internet I've found a few people questioning these "flashing stars."

Vike, being a retired art teacher, living in western Ohio, I am far removed from the events on the Bay of Biscay in 1970.
Yet the feelings I acquired then seem like they started yesterday.
The illustration comes very close to what appeared to me. Thank you.
Bay of Biscay Experience 1970
Amidships on a Destroyer there is low, flat, open space. The picture below shows, from an archive photo, the USS Dyess (DD-880). It was aboard this small craft that an incident occurred which will haunt me for the rest of my life.
From the front (bow), going toward the rear, there are two gun turrets. Behind those is a big complex of two towers, called the superstructure.
Immediately after that is a low, dark, sunken area. On that night in July, 1970, I sat alone above it on a set of steps, so that I was looking forward in the direction of the superstructure.
I couldn’t believe that I had this beautiful scene all to myself. Billions of stars and a brilliant full moon illuminated the calm, smooth ocean’s surface.
This setting was further enhanced by the balmy temperature. The absence of my shipmates was, at first, no concern.
Soon, however, I was confronted with something that would send me inside the nearest hatchway for cover.
The first sensation was that of being frozen in time. I was relaxed, yet found I was unable to move.
Then there suddenly appeared on the deck below me, about twenty feet away, a glowing, truly luminous cloud.
It was silent and its edges were yellow-green wisps. Spherical in form and not solid, but gaseous, it swirled inside as it hovered above the steel-plated deck. In my dreamlike state I lost track of the minutes.
The neon blue-green apparition had materialized in an instant, but then began slowly to transform, and darken, as it shrank down from twelve feet in diameter. While doing so, its semi-transparent nature thickened and the edges became well-defined.
Any haziness was replaced by a strange figure, human in size. The deep cyan vision had a full body, head, arms, legs, hands and feet, while it began to dance about joyfully. A performance that seems like it was yesterday, I recall it with trepidation now, forty-two years later.
What began without warning vanished just as quickly, leaving me alone and mystified.

Although reconstructed more than four decades after the event, to me this is of no concern, because the memory is as fresh as last night.
Although I did move inside after experiencing this, it was not due to fear.
Actually, the contact gave me a feeling of comfort and knowing.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside star gazing in our back yard at about 9:45 with my mom. My mom went inside to see the 10:00 pm news, so I stayed outside.
At about 10:15 I had seen a huge ball of glowing reddish matter. If you held up a dime in the night time sky that's how big it would have been. It was about 1-2 miles from me.
Moving above distant tree tops. It moved very fast, and did not blink. That's how I knew it wasn't an airplane. I watched for about 5 seconds as it crossed the southern sky. Then I ran inside to tell my mom about it. By the time I got her back outside it was gone.

One Saturday morning when I was 13 years old, I was walking with my brother and sister down Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. We were bored, and headed to no place in particular. The weather was sunny. Traffic was heavy on the street.
We came upon the old building that was three stories tall and 150 feet wide. It seemed to be five office suites joined together. Between the building and the boulevard was a concrete sidewalk. Visitors normally parked on the curb, or parked their cars behind the building (instead of in front of it, as with today’s strip malls). On this morning there were no cars parked in the street, but there was a lot of traffic whooshing by. (Beverly Boulevard is a main thoroughfare.)
All the windows of the building had been painted over, and there was no lettering or signs on it anywhere. It seemed abandoned. As I walked down the sidewalk with my brother and sister, I pulled on the handle of the front door of each office suite, just goofing around. The first two doors were locked, but the third was unlocked.
Opening the door, I stepped inside, followed by my brother and sister, and stood in an empty room that was thirty feet wide and twenty feet deep. On the back wall (opposite the front door) was a stairway with a banister that ran diagonally up the wall. At the top of the stairway was an opening to a second-story hallway that led farther back into the building. The room was silent. We could hear traffic in the boulevard outside.
I looked around at the empty room, wondering what the place had been used for, when my sister said, “What’s that?”
At the top of the stairway was a “devil face,” three feet tall, and floating in midair, a giant face with no body. It was a sheet of orange flames, and seemed to be staring at us with demonic eyes and a smiling mouth.
It started down the diagonal stairway, moving sideways, continuing to face toward us, rocking side to side as it descended. At no time did it make any sound. My siblings and I watched it for a few seconds, stupefied. Then we fled the building and ran all the way home.
Five years later I returned to that same building, curious to find out what happened, but the door was locked. (By that time I was living in Phoenix, but I often returned to Los Angeles to visit friends.) Five years after that, I returned once more, and once again the doors were all locked. In 1990, I returned yet again, but the entire structure had been torn down.
In 1990 (twenty years after the experience) I asked my brother and sister about the apparition, but they claimed to have no memory of it. (?) We were not dreaming. This happened 37 years ago, but I still think about it from time to time, trying to make sense of it.

New Sighting Report !

A few nights ago, as I was taking my dog outside waiting for her to finish her job, I noticed this red/orange glowing ball.
It was traveling from east to west, no sound and watched it until it disappeared behind the western clouds. It appeared about the size of a large orange, but have no idea how far away it was.
We live in Southeast Iowa and was surprised that a number of folks have seen something similar.

Date: Early 1960s
Time: Approximately 2:00 a.m.
Four teens left Creston, B.C. for a camping trip along side of Kootenay Lake just North Of Boswell, BC for the weekend. The fellows arrived at their camping location at around 10:00 p.m., set up the tents/camp and wandered about the area for a couple of hours goofing around.
Later on after chatting and watching the sky they shut things down for the night which was about 2:00 a.m. Just after they turned in a brilliant light caught everyone's attention (lit the entire area up) and the guys crawled out of their tents to watch a large yellow/white globe (massive is size) descended and hovered over the lake at approximately 1000 feet, this happening directly out from their camp site.
A small bright egg shaped object came out of the bottom of the larger craft and descended to just over the lakes surface, and this to came to a hovering position.
From what the witness told me the egg shaped craft caused quite a disturbance on the water as it sat over the waters surface, although the teens were not able to see what it may have been doing, and they also were able to hear the sound of rushing water.
After approximately 20 to 30 seconds had past while watching this event, the smaller egg shaped craft traveled back up from where it came from, and back inside the large stationary globe.
Roughly ten seconds passed and the enormous globe traveled towards the north until they lost sight of it. Everyone was pretty scared and they all stayed awake that night, packed up their belongings and left for home early the next morning.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hello, don't know why I've decided to do this today, but anyways. A friend and I were sitting on my back patio in Kamloops having coffee one summer morning around 1999 or 2000.
He was relating to me how his girlfriend and he had seen some weird orange balls in the sky the previous evening at the drive in movie. The view from my patio is generally southwest and I live on the valley bottom so there is a clear definition of altitude if anything is below the ridge line.
After I had teased him about blowing a gear (he's a logging truck driver) we were chatting and enjoying a typical beautiful Kamloops early summer morning when we both see a cluster of three glowing orange balls zipping across our field of view, below the ridge line.
They were only visible for a few seconds as they were moving fast, best guess would be three to four times as fast as a Dash 8 on final, something I see five or 6 times a day as we are on the glide path to KYA airport.
They quickly disappeared from view heading down the valley out over Kamloops Lake. To summarize, they were orange (pale) they were probably between 5 and 10 feet in diameter and they were traveling somewhere between 400 to 800 mph at an altitude of less than 1,500 feet, but more than 1,000 feet.
With the benefit of hindsight I wish I had made some notes to record the details, but the points I've just related are not subject to confabulation and the story can be confirmed by my friend and my wife (who didn't see them because she was in the house) can verify the incident. Best.

Full Description of event/sighting: For sometime I taken a lot of interest in the UFO phenomenon and the further I went, the more undeniable the facts became. A couple of years ago I saw a UFO with my very own eyes and so did other people that were with me at that time.
Before my sighting I still had a small doubt, but when I saw it above me (us), turning from an ordinary satellite orbiting the earth into a star that was moving in a zigzag patterns for some time. It then descended from all the way up there to quite a low altitude so we could see the actual ship (all noiseless at all the time).
From below it looked like the usual thing, saucer or a ball (not likely but still) but definitely round and with about 6 -10 beams coming from underneath (not like spot lights). They were located not in the center or neither on the edges of a ship, but kind of in the center of the radius. (Sorry bout my English it's my second language.
Those beams looked more like rocket engine exhausts or a turbo lighter's flame. They had bright orange, red, blue, yellow in them. I couldn't really distinguish the color from underneath, neither could identify the altitude it was hovering at). Hovered for about 5-10 seconds then shot back up into a small light (looked like a star or a satellite again) and continued moving in zigzags until it went over the trees and was no longer visible.
Since then I am sure that there is a conspiracy going on to cover-up the truth about the existence or a well advanced before it's time military project that people should know about, either way we aren't being told the truth. I saw something I can't explain or identify and I'm sure there are many others that are wondering too after they've seen them.
P.S. Majority of the people, even close friends that I've told what I've seen, just grinned and laughed at me. I don't know who I can talk to, someone who can share information or just give me a hint (glimpse) of what it really is and what's going on. Full Description of event/sighting: Picture this, I am seven years old and I'm lying in a cot in my cousin's bedroom. His cot is on the other side of the room. It is the middle of the night and very dark, we didn't have a night light.
My cousin and I were on the third floor of a brown, wooden apartment
tenement. The walls were rough hewn chocolate brown wood with no sheet-rock,
you could see daylight out through the cracks. Nothing fancy, my uncle had just
started working for the fire department.
In the middle of the night, I awakened when I felt pressure on my cot. I looked
down at the foot of my cot and one of them was sitting on it. The other two
were standing at the foot of the cot looking at me. There was a faint light
emanating from them somehow so I could barely discern them. The light
eventually brightened. Later, much later, even now, I can still recall the
beautiful, vivid electric blue light.
They were tiny, thin, gray; no more than three feet tall. They looked very
fragile. However, I didn't have any fear of them. They communicated to me
through telepathy. They didn't say much. All I can remember them
"saying" to me was do not be frightened and I wasn't.
As I watched, a circle of beautiful, brilliant, and indescribable blue light
appeared behind them. I remember one of them going into the light and I knew
this was where I was going too. This entire episode lasted about three minutes.
I remember falling asleep before they were gone. My cousin never woke up
throughout this entire ordeal.
How can I describe them? Well, you've seen them in stickers, pictures, you
know, the typical alien, large heads, black oval eyes too large in proportion
to their heads, a slit for a mouth and two small holes for a nose. Their long
spindly limbs seemed to be too frail, yet there they were.
When I woke up the next morning, my left pinky finger was aching. I felt it and
in the middle segment of the digit I felt what seemed to be a BB of some sort.
I knew it wasn't there before. I told my mother about the entire incident, and
she beat me severely and would not even consider feeling the 'BB' in my finger.
So I suffered in silence for many years.
Since then I have asked my doctor if he'd x-ray my finger and he said not
unless there was a reason to. I didn't tell him why, or he'd probably think I
was nuts. I've been x-rayed for chest pains repeatedly, and I have always
semi-jokingly asked the x-ray tech if they've ever done alien implant x-rays or
has anyone ever requested one. They'd always laugh and tell me no, but "We
have found a lot of interesting things in rectums!"
My doctor says the 'BB' in my finger is a fatty deposit, but I disagree because
I knew it wasn't there the night before I saw them. No one believed me. You are
only the third person on this planet that I have related this story to.
I think it is like a tag. I haven't seen them since. And no, this was not a
dream. It was the real McCoy. It really, actually happened. How could I have
known what they looked like at that age? According to my parents and my uncle,
I described them perfectly. They were exactly like the ones you see described
by thousands of people worldwide.
This might sound strange, but I have a feeling, just a feeling, mind you, that
they have protected me throughout my life. They have caused me to have success.
Strange isn't it? I have never been hurt, or in a car wreck, or received a
speeding ticket, or been arrested for DUI, nothing. It is very odd.
I think it is very possible that they are monitoring and especially influencing
thoughts. When I was a child, after the incident with the aliens, my mother was
amazed at the things I would come up with. I would make innocent predictions
(remember I was a kid) and they would come true. She was dumbfounded. She said
I could predict the future. I think she was afraid of me and that's why she
beat me so much and made me sleep at other relative's houses.
Or how about this story?
I had a good friend in Mt. Home Air Force Base in Idaho, his name was (name
removed). He decided he wanted to work at the top secret site called 'Area 51'
or the Tonopah test site as we knew it. They worked on top secret aircraft. He
worked on the F-1117A. To work there however you needed a top secret clearance.
They asked me to work there, but I turned it down as I was getting out.
We had a TDY to Nellis Air Force Base, and I was selected to go so I immediately called (name removed) and told him when I'd be there. He told me that would be great and to give him a call when I was at the dorm, and he would pick me up and we'd fly his radio controlled planes. So he did and before we went to the R/C airfield he wanted to stop at the hobby shop for some parts.
Well, he bought what he needed and we were off to the field. We came to a red light, we were in the right lane, and I decided to ask him about aliens. The second I uttered aliens he turned pale, ran the red light, did a U-turn in all that traffic with horns blaring and drove me back to base. On the way I kept asking, "(name removed), what's the matter?" "What did I say?" But, he would not answer any of my questions, he stayed pale and angry and dropped me off at the dorm and I never saw or heard from him since.
I am not insane and I know what I saw. I am 48 now and can remember it like it was yesterday. I know they exist.

Full Description of event/sighting: A friend who is in his late 70s told me this story today. He said that when he was 10 or 11 years old, he and two friends (now deceased) were playing in the bush in Confederation Park in Burnaby, that would make it the summer of 1937 or 1938.
He said he and his friends heard a roaring sound and he ran out of the trees to Willingdon Avenue and saw two streaks of smoke in the sky coming from the east parallel to the ground and at a fairly low altitude. As the smoke trails got closer he saw two round balls of fire at the head of the trails.
Suddenly the two fireballs roared like a rocket straight up at a ninety degree angle and disappeared into a clear blue sky. He said that today he would compare them to jets, but of course there were no jets back then. He still remembers the incident even after the amount of time that has transpired.

Location of Sighting: Along CA Hwy 168, 20 miles E of Clovis, CA.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hello, Brian. I reported a UFO sighting to you some time ago about a sighting on 6 Sep 1982 in Auberry, CA. Since then I have had another UFO sighting.
It was in Feb of 1995, but I can't remember the exact date (unusual for a history major). I was returning home from a Wednesday night class (grad school) at CSU Fresno, and had pulled over on Highway 168 to let a couple of cars go by. I checked to see if there was no traffic, and then just looked up, and saw a formation of lights.
Each was oval-shaped, and very white. The best analogy I can give is the brightest white lights at a baseball or football stadium, but these were brighter. There were six of them in a triangular formation.
One at the apex, then two right behind, and then three at the base. I turned off the car to see if there was no sound, and there was none. I didn't remove the key so the lights and clock would still work and noted the time-10:30 p.m. (PST). The formation was several hundred feet above, and each light was about the size of a dime held at arm's length.
The formation was flying in a N to S direction, and the whole sighting took about 2 minutes. I noted the time when I restarted the car as 10:32. When I got home at 10:55, I asked my grandmother (now deceased) if she'd heard any unusual scanner traffic on either the Fresno County Sheriff or California Highway Patrol channels, and she said no. And there was nothing on any of the Fresno TV stations' 11 PM newscasts that I can recall.
I don't know what these were, but they were not F-16s from Fresno ANG Base, or F/A-18s from NAS Lemoore, nor any kind of commercial aircraft. Weather was clear and cool (about 45 or 50 F)
There was no interference with the car's engine or lights before I turned the ignition off, and it started up again normally. If you need more info, feel free to contact me at the above e-mail address, and I will get back to you.

Brian Vike’s Note: Below the witnesses reported sighting I have added more to the event as I picked up the telephone and called the witness just after the person's email came in. This is some wild sighting, but darn interesting.
Full Description of event/sighting: Myself and 2 other witnesses were sitting in the back yard, as a huge cloud bank moved over our heads. This is weather pattern that usually happens 3-5 times a week. As we watched the clouds, the first of two objects flew directly over our heads.
It headed in a true north direction. This was followed by another object which headed more to the east of true north. These objects skimmed the underside of the cloud bank. the light omitted from the craft, was a camera flash intense white light. These objects traveled 10 times faster than any jet we have seen. There was no lightning in the area that evening.

The witness and a couple of friends were sitting outside enjoying the evening when they noticed a cloud bank come rolling in, nothing unusual about this as the witness said the cloud bank rolls in every night and a while later the cloud bank usually dissipates. The witnesses all sat watching the cloud cover when they saw a light, a ring shaped object flying sideways coming out of the bottom of the cloud.
The witness said the ring shaped object would skip off one cloud and then another as it traveled along.
The fellow estimates the ring shaped objects was at approximately 1000 feet above the three people.
The man stated again that it looked exactly like a ring with light emitting off the ring itself. The witness said he was in air cadets and has flown in numerous military aircraft and this object was flying at a fast rate of speed, faster than a military jet aircraft. Also there was light trailing off of the strange object.
Brian Vike’s Note: Try to picture this event, the ring shaped object was "not" moving threw the cloud cover, it was "just" below the bottom part of the cloud cover and skipping off the bottom parts of the clouds.
The object traveled due north, now at this point of the strange event everyone started freaking out, jumping all over the place I am sure with a range of emotions after observing this unusual event. Between 30 seconds and one and a half minutes later, or following the ring shaped object passing overhead, another object exactly the same shape and size came into view in an easterly direction.
Also the witness mentioned that they see a bright orange orb type object fly every night across the bay and on different trajectories and it will even turn in the sky and travel off in a all together different direction.

Greetings Brian, Thanks for your reply and valued opinions. I am a retired scientist and during my long camping trips in a remote area of western Maine, I like to read about natural science and try to put the pieces together.
My son and I were on a trip about 25 years ago at that location during the winter. On a cold still night, we went for a walk after supper and as we walked down the road, a ball of fluorescent light, maybe 2 feet in diameter crossed our path about 30 feet away.
We were both quite surprised and watched it move off into the forest. We immediately looked for any signs in the fresh snow but found nothing. We proceeded down the road for a while, then turned to return.
When we approached the same area, the light appeared again, crossed our path and disappeared into the forest. At that point, my young son became scared since we were over 5 miles away from anyone else.
I have never seen anything like it again and I often walk after dark. Actually, I am leaving tomorrow morning for a week of XC skiing and snowshoeing in that area. I don't think this experience qualifies as a UFO sighting, but it was certainly unusual and unexplainable.
Maybe if we keep reading, observing and analyzing we can put the pieces together. Life sure is interesting. Sincerely.
