On November 9th 2011 at around 9:30 p.m. Myself and a co-worker witnessed a red object moving across the sky in Corner Brook, NL.This object had no blinking lights what so ever. It stayed a solid red. We watched this object for a good 10 minutes until it simply vanished.
It was a clear night and the stars were very visible where this object kind of went dim and then simply vanished. This object was round, red, it did not blink or change colour. It appeared to start to move of course twice only to correct itself and continue in the direction it was traveling.
It was not a plane as there was a plane in the sky flying away from this object. The lights were flashing and it was very visible it was a plane. This other object was unique and nothing I’ve ever seen or witnessed. Myself and my friend were in awe to say the least at what we were seeing.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

My father seen this similar light at his cabin on February 5, 2012 at approximetly 9:30pm. His cabin is located on the Bonavista Pensulia. I am a truck driver and after he told me about this I was keeping my eye open all that week, and then on February 11, 2012 I started heading down the Bay d'Espoir Highway at approximately 9:00pm. I noticed this red light out my passenger side window, something that is really out of place and would catch your eye, I pulled off the road at a lookout and watched the light for some 20 minutes. I noticed that the light was moving around the sky like it was hovering there. I looked at stars in the sky to make sure my eyes werent playing tricks on me, but they werent. I continued to watch the light move back and forth across the sky and then it just faded away. I knew it was not a plane as there were 2 planes in the sky at the same time and it looked nothing like a plane. it seemed like it was very low to the ground.
ReplyDeleteMe and my wife witnessed this light over corner brook as well. It seemed a little more amber in colour, like a street light. When we seen it, it was gaining altitude at an astonishing rate and judging from the angle it must have had at least a 2-3km altitude before it simply vanished. It was over the north shore and it was certainly no airplane, helecopter, or flare. It moved faster than anything i have ever seen in the sky. We hadn't really mentioned it to many people but we did find a few others that had witnessed the same thing but on different dates. This sighting took place around august of 2011.
