Oshawa Ontario Canada UFO With Black Frayed Edges

Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.

Dear Brian, My name is (name removed) and I am located near Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I am not sure who to write about this, but in order to make sense of what I saw last night, I am looking for answers anywhere. I was standing outside my front door last night at approx: 7:30pm when I saw what looked to be a black, non-descript object in the sky. It moved east from the west and I first saw it when looking to the northwest sky.

It was an odd shape, more of a vertically-shaped object rather than horizontally shaped. It did not have any smooth edges, in fact at first I thought it to be a kite, but looking closer it not really flutter or move as it drifted in a straight line across the sky. Nor, did it dip or rise from its straight-line movement. Then I re-adjusted my eyes thinking perhaps it was a flock or birds, but again, nothing about it fluttered or broke-off of the whole. As it moved across I looked closer and the shape simply did not make sense to me, the closest thing I could describe it to be similar to is the shape of a man with a jet-pack, all black, frayed edges and blurred.

I lost the object behind a treed area at which I could no longer track it. I did not get my cell phone in time to capture it, as when I looked at it, I was sure I would make out a logical distinction of it's shape. I know this sounds strange, and I also find myself puzzled, since I do not suffer from any mental disorders, or vision impairment. I would like to think I am a pretty logical person and have never encountered anything of the sort. Would you happen to shed some light on this or have heard from anyone with a similar sighting that would possibly explain it. Confused.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.
