Vietnam Veteran's Visitation

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Brian, Thank you for your interest because it seems that no one wants to listen. I'm not the kind of person that gets excited about things so I didn't send a thing for a long time, but it lay on my mind.

I'm a disabled Vietnam Veteran and I ran a halfway house, for getting homeless Veterans off the street and, hopefully, back into some kind of home/shelter. We have so far, gotten eight guys off drugs and, either back with their families or into a house of their own, with a great support structure, of volunteers or other vets. God has been good to us.

I had finished my daily chores and decided to go to bed. I hadn't quite dozed off yet, I was kind of just laying there talking with God, as I noticed a bright light come on in my room. I didn't need to open my eyes because it was bright enough to see through my eyelids.

I thought it was odd because of the nature of our tenants, we never go into each others rooms unannounced, but, for some reason, I still didn't open my eyes. I just waited for whoever it was, to speak. No one ever did and my memory goes blank, at that point.

Being a combat Vet, it is my nature to investigate anything out of the ordinary, but this time, for some reason, I just didn't.

My next impression was of being light (i.e. without weight). I don't recall a floating sensation, as one would expect, should the effects of gravity cease, just a weightless sensation.

After that, a period of time passed, I suppose, then I heard/felt a crunching feeling/sound. I can't describe exactly what it was because I didn't really feel it or hear it, I just sensed it, some how.

The next memory I can clearly recall, is of awakening, and as is my usual habit, because I am a smoker, I cleared my throat. I felt as though I had a cotton ball in my mouth. I remember thinking "This is strange" and remembered the experience of the night before. When I swallowed, I expected it to get stuck in my throat and that I was gonna go into my bathroom, spit it out, and see what it was, but it went down real easy, except that I felt a small lump.

By the time, the whole experience should have concerned me more, but this didn't. I just kind of grinned it off and got up.

I guess I kind of forgot it, and went on with my life without anything unusual happening except that I suddenly just stopped drinking. In my position as leader of the group, I had argued with myself that I needed to stop, as it was kind of hard to talk the homeless guys into stopping, when I drank. I was telling myself that it wasn't a problem for me, but it was beginning to and I had already prepared for a really hard battle with it. It never happened. There was no battle, no stopping and then starting back, or wanting to drink but not doing it, I just stopped ! I haven't wanted a drink since, and that, is strange.

The only other thing, that I have noticed, thus far, is a very small lump that grows on the upper/inner part of my ear. It itches and I scratch it, and several times I have looked at it, and there is a tiny piece of something that looks like a grain of salt or sand. I usually just brush it off, but this time I am going to get someone to look at it under a microscope.

I believe there are visitors or some unusual form of life that is playing with us, or maybe examining us, and I have seen things that I can't personally explain. But I have adopted the attitude of, I'm going to wait and see what's up, rather than form an opinion.

I hope this helps you in your search and I am willing to do whatever you need me to do, to find out what it is at the bottom of all this.

Sincerely, Jackie.

My many thanks to Jackie for her story.

Police Sergeant Fires Three Rounds From .303 Rifle At UFO At Braeside Fort Beaufort South Africa

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

This is one amazing case with companies lining up in hopes of filming a documentary on this sighting. I was shut down and never passed the information along to any of them. I can tell you, there is no way I am handing out case after case to TV networks to run documentaries on my work like I did when I owned and operated HBCC UFO Research, (I don't anymore) for nothing. Most UFO people get nothing for their work, I won't hand it over anymore unless they are going to actually pay for the material if I appear in the film or not. Tired of them using us. Getting tried of this in my old age, maybe I am getting grumpy. LOL.

Brian Vike’s Note: I have been talking by way of email to the then sergeant of the  South African Police. The witness has agreed to be interviewed by way of telephone and Brian Vike will be interviewing the gentleman for an upcoming show on the Vike Report. Stayed tuned for details as this will certainly be one amazing story to be related. Also please note that permission has been granted to leave the report as is, with name intact.

Date: June 26, 1972 Time: 10.00 (?)

Location of Sighting: Braeside Fort Beaufort. Number of witnesses: 12 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Oval.

Full Description of event/sighting: Incident were reported by others previously. I was then a sergeant in the South African Police and witnessed the sighting. I was the policeman who fired shots at the object with a .303 rifle and hitting it together with (name removed), who was the owner of the farm.

What I still cannot understand is that how could be possible that the object have vanished into thin air without we who were watching the spot not being able to see it taking off.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Additional Information:

Hi Brain, in 1972, I was a sergeant in the South African Police, with eight years of service, in the small South African town, Fort Beaufort. The morning of June 26, I received a report of an object which appeared on the farm Braeside, which belonged to a Mr. Bennie Smit.

At that stage I did not know Mr. Smit well. I persuaded the Station Commander, Warrant Officer Philip Van Rensburg to accompany me to the scene. On the farm we met Mr. Smit and some of his workers including a worker by the name of Boer de Klerk.

Boer told us that during the morning when he was in the field at the reservoir when he witnessed a round "ball of fire" which changed in colours, hovering about 20 meters above the ground and which were slowly moving in the direction of the hill, which separates the farm from the Fort Fordyce bush.

On our arrival we did not witness any suspicious objects. We did the initial investigation and were skeptical. At that stage we were seven people. Four laborers, 2 policemen and Mr. Smit.

Whilst we were standing looking at the hill which were 150 meters from us, I saw an object which emerged from the thick bush and vegetation at the foot of the hill and hovered just above the vegetation. It moved slowly to our right and again disappeared behind the thick bush.

It did this movement a couple of times and I had the feeling that we were being watched. Mr. Smit had a .303 rifle with him and I decided to take a shot at it. The object were oval shaped and it was difficult to estimate the size of it. Might have been just over a meter in diameter.

It had a shiny dark metal grey colour. I fired three shots at it, hitting with each shot. Mr. Smit also fired at the object. During firing at it, I saw a sharp bright light, flickering on the right of the craft, just above it.

During the shots it also disappeared and emerged again from behind the trees. It was in broad daylight after 10:00 a.m. in the morning and the weather was clear. Mr. Smit and some of the workers went into the bush with a handkerchief, tied to a stick enabling us to direct him.

We noticed that the object moved away as if it were reacting to our voices giving direction to the searchers.  I  heard further shots coming from close to where we last seen the object disappeared  and Mr. Smit enquiring if we could see it.  We kept observation but did not see its departure. According to Smit who claimed that they came close to it.

The object turned upright and became a greyish white in colour before it veered of making a whirring sound. It just disappeared. The following day we combed the area with other police officers and found nine evenly spread circular imprints about 10cm in diameter in the soil directly from where we saw it disappearing behind the bushes.

The imprints were in hard clay soil easily 25 - 30 mm deep, as if the legs were spiraled in the ground. Samples were taken and send to the Council for Scientific and Industrial research Laboratories. Apparently it never reached them.

Also of interest is that a couple of days later in the evening the town engineer Dr. D. Verschoor, interrupted a Council meeting to show the councilors a UFO flashing in colours as it moved in the direction of the Fort Fordyce bush and Braeside.

On Saturday 8 July during the night, Mr. Smit heard a loud explosion on his farm. On investigation the next morning he discovered that his reservoir, which were constructed of brick and cement were shattered and large concrete blocks were lying up to 20 meters away from the actual site. Another mysterious incident, never solved.

Thank you again to the witness for this amazing report.

Fighters Scrambled From Comox To Vancouver British Columbia To Intercept UFOs

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Late 1950s and early 1960s.
Toll Free Hotline:

I had call phone call from a retired pilot this afternoon. He had worked with NORAD at one time and told me he knew all about "Flying Saucers". This pilot also went on to say he remembers clearly that he scrambled fighters out of Comox in the late 50's, early 60s to intercept a Unidentified Flying Object. Comox by the way  is located on Vancouver Island here in British Columbia, Canada.

Brian Vike’s Note: I have left out some details due to not having any kind of trail leading back to the fellow who gave me the information.

He was the (deleted by Brian Vike) and they scrambled fighter interceptors because they were watching on radar strange objects making all kinds of radical maneuvers close to the Vancouver, B.C. area.

He went on to say that the media had been receiving telephone calls over all the strange objects being seen at this time and they were making calls into the airports wanting to know what it was many folks were seeing in the skies over the Vancouver area.

The media had no luck with the airports in getting any information on what was taking place, they decided to call the Comox base.

Brian Vike’s Note: This is where I am leaving out a couple of things about this case.

After the calls started coming in, the Commander of the base at that time called the man(who I talked with today)at his home, and said, " Nothing really happened and went on to say to this gentleman that the media from Vancouver had been making a good number of calls to the base, and again the Commander said, "Nothing unusual really happened last night"! "So there was nothing to talk about" !

As the fellow I chatted with today said, "I got the message loud and clear" ! "Three bags full, Yes Sir"! (His words). He also said he just kept his mouth closed and went about his business, but later on he talked with other people who took photos of the "flying saucers" as the fighters were flying beside the objects.

After the aircraft landed back at the Comox base they were ordered by the base Commander to hand over the camera and film which were taken of the objects, orders came down the Canadian DND.

He also said this went on for years and one didn't talk about it or your career was finished.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

UFO Splits Into Two And Shoots Straight Up And Disappears Houston British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  February 27, 2003
Time:  Approximately 4:05 a.m.

I was over at Country Wide Stationary today (March 4, 2003) and a fellow had read the logo on my winter coat.(UFO Research Logo). He asked what it was all about, in which I explained what it was I was up to.

This man, a logging truck operator left the town of Houston driving up the Morice River Road heading approximately 100 kilometers out across the Reach to pick up a load of logs.

He went on to say when he reached the 30 kilometers mark on the Morice River Road, he witnessed "one" bright white light high in the sky heading in his direction. As the light got closer to him, he watched the light split up into two parts, with both pieces flying in different directions. He said one part went west and the other east.

What was so amazing was that the two lights shot back up into the sky and disappeared. The sighting lasted approximately 6 to 7 seconds at the most.

He was so surprised and excited at what he just saw, he got on the trucks radio and asked other drivers on the road if anyone had witnessed what he just did. Two other drivers who were in the same area reported back to him that they also witnessed the same thing.

Brian Vike’s Note: I have the name of one of the other drivers and will be speaking to him tomorrow to take his report. I was told that a number of logging truck drivers on their early morning hauls have seen a number of strange things in the sky, so I am also looking into these as well. Also I had a telephone call from a fellow from Prince Rupert today.

He asked if I would be around today as he wanted to drop in on his way to Alberta. I met with him at my home and we had a really nice visit.  He also told me about an amazing sight he witnessed in the Prince Rupert area. I am certainly going to be taking the trip up to visit with him later on when he comes home from Alberta.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Mill Employee Observes Large UFO Land Or Hover On Mountain Side Houston British Columbia

"Possible Landing of an object" !!

Brian Vike’s Note: The couple of days ago I reported that three blue/white lights in a triangular shape were witnessed by a Canfor sawmill employee flying very low over top of him. The object moved very quickly and disappeared over one of Houston, B.C. local mountains. This sighting took place on February 3, 2003 at approximately 8:10.p.m.

Today, February 9, 2003 I went to visit a close friend. While sitting around talking he told me that his brother has witnessed something very strange on February 3, 2003, in the morning between 8:00 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. Of course my ears perked up when I heard the date of the sighting, and I asked my friend if he would call his brother and ask if it would be ok to come over to take his report on what he saw. He agreed and I soon left my buddies home and headed over to look into this new report.

First of all, I would like to point out that the fellow who gave me his account of events, does not really believe in UFOs, or visitors from else where. I also know this fellow very well, and both himself and his wife are well respected in the community of Houston.

The witness to the early morning sighting works for Houston Forest Products which is one of two large and very modern sawmills. At the time of his sighting he was operating a heavy machine in the log yard when a "extremely" bright yellow/orange light caught his attention. The source of the light was coming from the northern side of Pea Cock Mountain, which is at the south end of the forest companies property.

There was a low lying fog in the valley that morning but from his position he could see the fog had only gone part ways of the mountains, so it was laying very low. After he saw the intense light, he saw what he first thought was a helicopter, but wondered why it had such a bright light on it, then after a couple of seconds went by he thought it couldn't be a helicopter due to the size of it.

The description he gave me of this object was as follows, the object at a distance of approximately 2 kilometers ( or less) away up on the side of Pea Cock Mountain on a logged off area, sat either hovering, or "sat on the ground" for approximately 40 seconds. The witness said the color of the object was a light gray/white. And the color was changing, as if it was translucent (almost as if it was flickering in and out).

The craft was oval is shape with this bright yellow/orange light dead center at the bottom of the object. As the witness sat watching it, it rose up only a little, and flew to the south heading to the top of Pea Cock Mountain. But before it even came close to the top of the mountain, and with no obstructions in between the witness and the craft it completely disappeared. Or as they say, blinked out.

Now I find this interesting because of two reports on the very same day, one in the morning and evening in pretty much the same area.

Brian Vike’s Note: Monday morning I will be stopping into the local helicopter business, in which there is two of. I want to see if they were flying that morning, or around the time of the sighting. I also will stop in and see if the forestry knows of any logging operations going on at the sighting location. Plus I may have to dig out the snowshoes and take a short hike to look around the area for any possible signs that something may have been there.

It has not snowed in a while here, so if anything had got close to the ground, or even landed, there should be signs of this taking place.  I will keep everyone posted on this case. Also I am just going to post a computer graphic on my site to give you an example of what this thing looked like. My wife recreated it from the drawing the witnesses supplied. (Keep in mind, the computer image is close, but not exact in color.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Forestry Workers Watch Large Glowing Golden/Orangish Disk Shaped UFO Granisle British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  December 27, 2002
Time: Approximately 2:10 a.m.

Brian Vike’s Note: It has been an exciting year for me here in northern British Columbia. After a slow start in for the year 2001 (6 reported UFO sightings, my investigation into the Vanderhoof crop circles and a cattle mute), 2002 has been an unbelievable time for a UFO investigator, plus I am brand new at this stuff.

With this sighting report, this will bring the total cases I have worked on to 120 cases. Most of the cases are for the pacific northwest here in B.C. I have talked to over 200 witnesses for these 120 reported sightings. I still am working on two more still yet to come for the end of this year.

Did the same Golden UFO return to Granisle in which RCMP officers watched a golden saucer hovering over the lake?

I had a telephone call from a nice fellow who reported that he, and three other co-workers were doing some last minute work around the logging camp which is located across Babine Lake, just across the lake from Granisle, British Columbia.

One of the workers gave out a loud cry telling the other workers to look into the direction he was pointing to.

Approximately a half kilometer away from their location, which would have been to the north. The men all witnessed a bright, white/yellowish light coming from behind the trees in the distance. At this point all that was visible was a brightness shinning above/through the trees.

Brian Vike’s Note: I know the area well as I have spent a lot of time fishing the lakes in the area, and there is nothing out there other than forest, lakes and streams. Of course cut blocks in which are being logged.

I asked the fellow if there may have been logging equipment working in the area where the light was seen coming from, using their bight lights to log and harvest the timber. He said NO ! The loggers were making ready the area/camp for logging to start up again after the holiday season was over and done with.

After dropping everything the men were doing, watching and wondering what this glowing light was, to their shock a large glowing golden/orangish disk shaped object with a large halo of white around the craft rose up in the distance and stopped and hovered.

I was told they observed the object for approximately 10 seconds at the most, which the fellow said seemed like a life time.

As the object moved away from their location, heading roughly to the north they did lose sight of the craft quickly, but after losing sight of the object they still could see the bright light, which they figured was the light which was given off from the object for sometime.(approximately 5 minutes after seeing the object). The light grew faint and disappeared.

Brian Vike’s Note: I am still gathering information on this case, and the other case at Granisle, British Columbia in which two authorities witnessed a large glowing orange/gold almost saucer shaped (oval?) object hovering right over top the old Bell Copper mine. This took place on October 22, 2002 at 10:25 p.m. This full report is at my website.

I should have a report from Terrace B.C. as well coming quickly, witnessed watched an object on December 27, 2002, 8:35 p.m. around the hot springs which is a short distance from the main junction heading west towards Kitimat.

The witness watched a saucer shaped object with one row of lights with two very bright lights close together.

And another I am working on, and am speaking with the witness, this report came to me from my friends from UFO*BC and is a joint investigation. This sighting takes place in between Kitimat and Terrace, B.C. at Onion Lake.

Full reports on these new sightings will be posted soon.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

UFO The Size Of A Greyhound Bus Paced Our Truck Houston British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  March 3, 2003
Time:  7:55 a.m.

Local call to report.

Daylight sighting.

Tonight on Friday, March 7, 2003 at approximately 8:30 p.m. I received a telephone call from two local Houston, B.C. residents who wanted to report something very strange they had saw on March 3, 2003 at approximately 7:55 a.m. The two witnesses were at the same location here in town when they made the call to me here at home.

The reason why the witnesses decided to tell their story was due to the newspaper articles which ran on the UFO Survey, and myself in out local newspaper this past Wednesday. They also told me they both spent sometime trying to make up their minds if they should actually call me over what they saw.

The first thing one of the fellows said to me was, "my buddy and I saw something very weird the other day, and are still questioning ourselves over what we saw". He went on to say there was himself and his friend in his truck travelling along highway #16 just east from Houston, B.C. Since it is getting lighter earlier these days, the fellows witnesses this object in the daylight.

Just before they got to Perow, there is a large farmers field which runs for a long way, and also runs along side the highway with a buffer of trees between the field and the highway. His friend was the passenger in the truck and first noticed a large object paralleling them along the highway.

The driver looked at the speed they were travelling and said he was doing approximately 50 kilometers an hour. The distance between the witnesses and the object would have been approximately 300 to 400 feet. So they both had a very close up look at it. (keep in mind there were the trees in between the truck and object which did hinder the view at times).

Also the field drops down somewhat below the highway, so the forestry workers did not get a good look at the bottom of this craft.

They both described the object as looking like an "Air Stream Trailer", and the size was close to the a Greyhound Bus. It was metallic in color, and no other features could be seen on it. No lights, windows, nothing !! The object stayed straight across from their truck as they drove along, as I mentioned above.

It paced their vehicle. The passenger had rolled down the window to see if he was able to hear any sound coming from this object, but none was heard, it was silent. After approximately 3/4 quarters of a kilometer the craft turned slowly away from the highway, wobbled slightly, sped up, wobbled once again and then shot off out of sight very quickly.

Brian Vike’s Note: Since the object was so low, and on the other side of the standing trees, I asked if they had observed any moment in the trees. Such as any disturbance which would have moved the trees in anyway. None was noticed.

Something else I should add. When the witnesses mentioned that is wobbled, one of the fellows said it was like looking through a heat wave, which gave it a look as if it was slightly wobbling. Also both of the man made comments to one another, saying it was so strange and not a normal aircraft as it had no wings on it's body.

He also mentioned due to the type of work he is involved with he had made many trips on different aircraft, and what he and his friend saw was "no" aircraft they know of.

I am also going out tomorrow to grab some pictures of the area where the sighting took place. I hope to have some drawings and more information after I sit down and chat with the two witnesses over the weekend. There is more to this story to come.

Thank you to the witnesses for the report.

Large Craft/UFO Spotted While Traveling Up Hungry Hill Between Smithers to Houston British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Late 2001 or 2002 ? The wife says this year.
Hungry Hill - 10:00 minutes from Houston heading west.

My wife and I were traveling from Smithers, British Columbia to Houston, British Columbia, I think around 2001 or 2002 (she will remember).

Anyways on the way up Hungry Hill we saw a what appeared to be a very large craft, but with very, very dim lights glowing from underneath.

We watched it for a long time as we climbed Hungry Hill, we both agreed it could not be a plane, I remarked to my wife jokingly that the lights on the craft were so dim and he should hit his high beams.

Well just then the lights (can't remember how many) got super super bright and the craft sped off. There were a lot of cars of the highway that night.

The witnesses said they seen me in the post office and noticed my jacket. (UFO logo on it) and they did a search on Google with UFO Houston and came up with your website. Wife says it was this year that we saw the craft.

She said it had a flashing light as well as the bright white lights. She thinks red. I say it was last year we saw it, not sure though.

I would like to thank these witness for sending me their sighting report.

Round Metallic Silver UFO Lands On The Ground Houston British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: March 1 - 7th, 2002

Time: 2:00 p.m.

 Weather Conditions: Partly Cloudy.

Sighting lasted: Approximately 2 minutes.

Brian Vike’s Note: Years after this report came in and with the media printing UFO sightings from around the area and my regular appearance on a local radio station other people eventually came forward reporting on this same sighting. I believe there were 3 other independent witnesses to this event. This made a total of 4 separate people who observed the UFO.

Dear sir. I'll try to answer your questions  as best as I can. I remember  seeing it in the early part of March as I said before. I cannot remember the date exactly,  but it was about 2:00 p.m. when we saw it. It was a cloudy day with some sunny breaks. I will try to give you the location as best I can.

I'm not totally familiar with the area yet as I live in the town houses across from the duck pond trail. There is a little park there for kids. I was looking out my patio window towards Houston Forest products, but a little off to the side towards the mountains, there is a small mountain or hill I guess you can call it.

It kind of looks like a lump and it was almost behind the hill when it  rose up into the sky from what I can see. It left the ground and flew straight up then returned to the ground, straight back down. It zig zagged quite sharply and flew  straight back up into the clouds and disappeared. The sighting lasted about 2 minutes in all and from where I was I could not hear nothing.

As for the size, it was about the same size as a school bus is long , but totally round, and a metallic silver  in color. I only seen it one time. I hope this will answer your question  if there is anything  else I can help you with just email me. I will try to get around to taking a photo of the location where I saw it using my digital camera if you would like to give you a better idea of the location

I would like to thank the witness for the report.

Circular Silver UFO Hovering Above Three Witnesses In Field Wilmer Near Windemere British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: 1973 - No month given.

Time: Daytime close to dusk.

One afternoon three girls were in a farmers field on their way to the hayshed to enjoy a cigarette unbeknownst to their parents. After their sojourn to the shed they thought it was time to go home again and walked back down the field where there was a hole in the fence close to Sandy Bend Road.

Before they got to the fence they heard a sound like a vehicle trying to start, similar to the engine turning over and over. They all looked in both directions, but there was nothing to be seen.

The same noise happened again, but they could see no vehicle anywhere. Suddenly they realized that the sound was coming from above their heads. Looking skywards they saw a circular shaped craft with different coloured lights around the circumference, and the object was silver/metallic in the center

All three girls were stunned, scared and spooked and ran as fast as they could towards their homes. One of them doesn't remember exactly how she got back to her parents, she had no real recollection of the path she took but when she arrived she told her mother about her experience.

The other two girls were so scared they got the first girls dad to take them home. None of them seemed to realize how long the occurrence was, but realized it was way longer than they planned to be away from home, in fact it had become quite dark.

The whole episode was never talked about again and the mother didn't want to discuss it.

This story was recalled to me by the first girls' sister (and I also took a telephone interview with this witness). I plan on contacting one of the other girls to get her story of what happened, but so far I've been very busy and will endeavor to do that as soon as I can.

I would like to thank the witnesses for the report.

Another Eyewitness To Major Boomerang UFO Event Smithers British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: February 1, 2002

Time: Approximately: 10:00 p.m.

Investigators Note: I received this report March, 24, 2002 which may be a confirmation to the February 1, 2002 sighting in which three ladies witnessed a large boomerang shaped object 3 kilometers east of Telkwa. The witnesses to this sighting were heading east on Highway #16 towards Houston, B.C. their home town. The object passed right over head, going west towards Smithers, B.C.  Telkwa is a 10 minute drive east of Smithers. I started out making enquiries into the February, 1, 2002 sighting, but I must admit I wasn't ready for the amount of sighting reports which kept coming in.

Today, Sunday, March 24, 2002 I received a telephone call from a gentleman who lives in Smithers, British Columbia who had read an article in the Smithers Interior Newspaper about some of the sightings which have taken place from Kitimat, B.C. right through to Prince George. The paper also carried my contact information so if anyone had seen anything strange and wanted to, they could at least find me to file a report for investigation.

This witness told me he had gone to rent a video from the Smithers Hollywood Video store and after he came out and got into his car and starting driving down the road, something caught his eye. He mentioned, due to the lights from the town of Smithers he could see the object rather well.

He pulled his vehicle over, got out and watched it fly slowly over and around the town for approximately five minutes. He also told me he thought it was descending and his first thoughts were of a para-glider and said it was the best way he could describe what he was looking at. He also said the object had "one" bright white light on it. He mentioned the light would go bright to dim, but said he wasn't sure if this was due to the object turning.

The witness mentioned that para-gliders often flew off Hudson Bay mountain and I asked him, because of that fact, had there ever been any other sightings of the gliders, he replied "no, not at night".

I asked him if he had an idea what the size would have been of this object. He said it was hard to tell, but went on to say it would have been about the size of a para-glider if you were standing next to it. He also said the height from the ground would have been approximately 1500 feet.  It slowly made turns over the town of Smithers.  I also asked about the weather conditions at the time of his sighting,  and he said it was overcast as did the three witnesses for the Telkwa sighting the same night.

The witness said he would never have mentioned his sighting to anyone as he did not know who or where to report this anyway, until he read the article in the newspaper.

Investigators Note: I was talking to some people and they told me that they knew for a fact that there was more than normal air traffic in and around our area after the sighting on February 1, 2002. Their source would not elaborate on what was taking place, but again said there were a number of aircraft patrolling the skies our way. I thought this was very interesting as well.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

UFO 10 Feet From My Pickup Cranberry Junction British Columbia (Letter/Diagrams)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: August or Mid September 1985

Time: Approxamtlty 9:00 p.m. - 9.30 p.m.

Hi Brian, It was nice to hear from you. It’s a funny thing you know that every time I hear or read about UFO sightings, I wish I would have reported it to someone at the time I saw whatever it was. I pulled out some old records, I believe it was late August or mid September 1985.

You see I worked for Lyle Gold and Sons Logging and being that I live in the Nass Valley, I used to travel the back road to Cranberry Junction and from there down the highway towards Stewart to the old Vandike Logging camp every Sunday night.

I had a 1980 Ford F-I50 short box pick up truck. It had no canopy so my visibility was excellent. It was a real nice night, the sky was clear, yet it was dark more like 9:00 p.m. or 9.30 p.m.

I remember now because I used to leave the Nass camp at around 8:00 p.m. I was roughly five to eight miles from reaching Vandike Camp.

I was three quarters of the way down this very long straight stretch and I caught a glimpse of this light in my upper front window rear view mirror.

I noticed that the light came down at an angle from the Nass river side of the highway like in an "S" like motion, but it was a long way back, about as big as this dot on the paper (pencil sized full stop).

It started at the beginning of the straight stretch like it came down and aligned itself with the pavement and if you count to five that's about how long it took to catch up to me going 90 kilometers per hour.

It came right up within ten feet in the passing lane of tail end of the pickup. I had a really good look at it in my rear view mirrors and I even turned my head and looked at it.

It was a single light about four feet round and was within inches of touching the pavement, very close.

I was trying to see if I could see some mass or structure behind the light but I didn't see anything. I was going to wave at it by sticking my hand out of the window but I chickened out.

By looking straight into the light it was weird. It was like looking at the moon. The light did not shine or light the highway up. It was a light within itself.

After watching the light and watching the road I looked back and it was gone. Then a car came around a corner in front of me.

I don't know why but I didn't tell anyone in the camp what I saw when I got there. But the very next morning there was five of us guys going to work in a crew cab going back the same way I had came to camp that night.

We worked 15 or so miles back down the highway from the camp. It was about 6 a.m. just daylight.

It was going to be a very nice day, the sky was a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. It was only as wide as the river and about a kilometer long.

I wasn't driving so I was admiring the beauty of this long gray cloud and all of a sudden there was a blue explosion in that cloud.

It was the same deep blue as the sky and it was a loud explosion too. I saw all of the blue go out from the explosion and like a magnet it got sucked back into itself and I watched the blue come out of the cloud like a blue worm.

It stretched out like an elastic band and like you would let go of that band it shot down the Nass River at a super high speed.

I noticed when the head of the blue came out of the clouds there was no ship or structure it was like blue mercury or something liquid (very strange).

The guys next to me were shocked when it exploded though they were watching the road and didn't get to see what I did.

They said what in tarnation was that ! All I could say was "I don't know".

I don't know why but I never did tell them what I had seen the night before. I just took it in as a blessing because not too many people get to see something like that.

I don't know what it is. I can only tell you and draw a picture of what I saw. It could be right there in front of you and you wouldn't know it. A true master of surprise it is.

Investigators Note: The witness has made two drawings which are posted on my website.

The first drawing shows the position on the highway of the truck in regards to the object. The second diagram is one of the truck and the object in relation to the highway and Nass River.

I would like to thank the two witnesses for their reports.

Update:

Investigators Note: The above told me he was driving with other co-workers in a truck when a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. He also mentioned there was a blue explosion in that cloud.

Well this witness had looked up one of the co-workers who he was driving with that day, and asked if I would be able to talk to him about what he saw. I called a really nice gentleman who gave me his report to what he saw that day.

Witness #2's report - This fellow told me he had not seen or heard from witness #1 for sometime. This fellow reported that there were still an other in the pick up truck at the time of this sighting, but sadly the third man has now passed away.

He conformed that this did take place up on the Cranberry by Derek Lake (he believes) and they had been staying in the Lyle Gold and Sons Logging Camp.

He also confirms that a strange gray cloud in a completely clear blue sky when he also seen the weird blue light which came out of the cloud with a tail at one end of it. These men watched the blue light move slowly along until it seemed to just explode.

So we have two witnesses now to this sighting.

The witness drew two diagrams showing the object in relation to himself.

Thank you to the witnesses for the report.
