Fighters Scrambled From Comox To Vancouver British Columbia To Intercept UFOs

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Late 1950s and early 1960s.
Toll Free Hotline:

I had call phone call from a retired pilot this afternoon. He had worked with NORAD at one time and told me he knew all about "Flying Saucers". This pilot also went on to say he remembers clearly that he scrambled fighters out of Comox in the late 50's, early 60s to intercept a Unidentified Flying Object. Comox by the way  is located on Vancouver Island here in British Columbia, Canada.

Brian Vike’s Note: I have left out some details due to not having any kind of trail leading back to the fellow who gave me the information.

He was the (deleted by Brian Vike) and they scrambled fighter interceptors because they were watching on radar strange objects making all kinds of radical maneuvers close to the Vancouver, B.C. area.

He went on to say that the media had been receiving telephone calls over all the strange objects being seen at this time and they were making calls into the airports wanting to know what it was many folks were seeing in the skies over the Vancouver area.

The media had no luck with the airports in getting any information on what was taking place, they decided to call the Comox base.

Brian Vike’s Note: This is where I am leaving out a couple of things about this case.

After the calls started coming in, the Commander of the base at that time called the man(who I talked with today)at his home, and said, " Nothing really happened and went on to say to this gentleman that the media from Vancouver had been making a good number of calls to the base, and again the Commander said, "Nothing unusual really happened last night"! "So there was nothing to talk about" !

As the fellow I chatted with today said, "I got the message loud and clear" ! "Three bags full, Yes Sir"! (His words). He also said he just kept his mouth closed and went about his business, but later on he talked with other people who took photos of the "flying saucers" as the fighters were flying beside the objects.

After the aircraft landed back at the Comox base they were ordered by the base Commander to hand over the camera and film which were taken of the objects, orders came down the Canadian DND.

He also said this went on for years and one didn't talk about it or your career was finished.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Rectangular UFO Chases Witnesses In Their Vehicle And Missing Time In Comox Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  August 2006
Time:  Approx: 8:45 p.m.

My friend and I were driving to Comox to see my new place and help me take my boat there. We took the old Comox main logging road at the end of Inland Hwy. from Campbell River shell.

We went, saw (maybe 1/2 hour) and came straight back at around 8:45 p.m. on the same road. It takes roughly 45 minuets. On the way back, however, about 1/2 hour back home, an enormous light lit up the entire forest like a bright summer day.

Then a flashing flying object appeared over the tree-line and started moving toward us. The object appeared to be rectangular. Flashing was very bright and very fast. (Two white lights on each end, two red or deep orange just inside of those.)

The object made no sound whatsoever and moved with propulsion obviously not characteristic of a plane (except a Harrier (lol) or helicopter.

I asked my friend "are you seeing this, too?" He was already staring out the back window of the small pickup, not saying much, except "yes".

The object continued toward us until approximately 10-15m. away. I panicked and told my friend, "hold on!" and tried to drive away at speeds up to 120kph. - failing to gain even a single inch. No matter if cornering or straight.

It maintained a position of seemingly exactly the same distance and orientation from us, no matter how fast or slow I drove.

Then neither I nor my friend remember what happened after it was tracking us. We don't remember it leaving or what we decided to do next, or driving home.

When we got home, our significant others and family were upset with us for arriving home at 12:30 a.m.!

The next day, I realized that my $1,300 Seiko kinetic auto-relay, guaranteed not to lose more than a second in 120 years was roughly 2.5 hours behind!

It had never lost a second before, and never has since. Anyways, always been kind of too freaked out to talk about it. This is the first I've shared.

Thank you very much for reading.

Bright Bluish White Object Breaks Up Over Comox Vancouver Island British Columbia (Meteor - Fireball)

Date: December 8, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

Dear Sir, I ran across your website while searching for others who might have sighted a really bright meteor/fireball over Comox at around 18:00 on 08 December. I think I might have seen the same object you did. I think it was a type of meteorite, what they call a fireball or bolide. I actually reported it to some kind of network, but have never heard back from them. Anyway, here's an excerpt of the report I sent in, see if it sounds like what you saw.

Best Regards.

Any reports of bright meteors or fireballs from Courtenay area around 17:30 - 18:00 on 08 December 2010? A colleague and I had an interesting sighting of what appeared to be a very bright meteor/fireball last night. We were returning to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack, having caught the 16:45 sailing from Powell River. I don't know the exact time, but I estimate we were about 30 minutes or so out of Comox when the sighting occurred (we could see the lights of Comox ahead).

What we saw was a very bright bluish-white object which appeared to break apart into about 3-4 smaller pieces and left a long very bright trail. I believe it may have been visible for as long as 4-5 seconds. We were sitting on the port side of the vessel and so were more or less looking south when we saw it at. I estimate the object was moving toward the south/southwest.

I cannot say whether there was any associated sound because were were inside during the sighting and viewed it through the window. I am no astronomer, but I have seen a lot of meteors over the years. I usually make a point of sitting out for the Perseids, for example. This was by far the most spectacular thing I have ever seen. My colleague saw it also. Did anyone else report seeing something like this around the same time/place?

Date: 08/12/2010
Time: 17:30 - 18:00 PST

Cloud: Not sure - there was some, but it didn't interfere with our sighting.

Location: Sorry, I can't provide coordinates from a topographic map. We were sailing from Powell River to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack. Sighting occurred when we were approximately 30 minutes out (i.e., offshore) of the ferry terminal at Comox.

If the vessel's bow is taken to be the end of the vessel that is pointing at Vancouver Island, then we were sitting on the left side of the vessel, looking roughly south when the sighting occurred. From this perspective the object first appeared in the upper left hand corner of the window frame, got brighter and began leaving trail that persisted for a few seconds; pieces broke off and then the whole thing gradually faded.

Beginning_azimuth: ~ NE.
Ending_azimuth: ~ SW.
Magnitude: Not sure - is there a visual chart one can use for comparison?
Moon: Much brighter - similar to how an arc welder would look about 10 m away.
Duration: ~ 4-5
Speed: medium-slow.
Flares: About 3-4 fragments broke off it as we watched, traveling at about the same speed and trajectory.
Colour: Bluish-white; (perhaps a bit of orange).
Train: Yes - it persisted for perhaps 3-4 seconds (an estimate).

Red Teardrop Shaped Object Seen Over Comox British Columbia

Date: November 26, 2010
Time: 11:40 p.m.

Hello, a red torch flame shaped object approached from the west, coming from the Beaufort range mountains. It was travelling east at moderate speed. It definitely took my breath away.

It was very red, sort of teardrop shaped, looking like the head of a torch flame, bigger at the bottom and pointed at the top. It silently moved west, I thought it would come over my head. It then turned to the north and proceeded. There was no sound coming from it.

It then started to flicker out and then it was extinguished. The whole sighting lasted about 2 minutes. I live near the airbase. Again no sound, no other light colors, just red. Are there any other reports of this ?

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Comox, British Columbia Circle Of Lights Flashing Red Green And Blue

Posted: February 11, 2008

Date: September 11, 2007 Time: 11:30 until 1:30 a.m.

Approach Direction: There were quite a number of them in the sky above the goose spit ( beach ). They would just appear and seemingly disappear to reappear. There was one that had amazing amber colored lights of energy in a circle, many lights that created the shape. It was so clear and bright and relatively close and with binoculars it was even closer. It then faded in and out and then seemed to be gone, but it re appeared in a different location. The other ones ( 20 or more ) that I could see were bright red and green flashing lights that created a circle shape. They too would move in all directions seemingly effortlessly, amazing beyond the beyond. It was and is so out of this world.

Departure Direction: There were four other people with me and we all saw all of it. Some of the space UFOs moved so fast we thought it was going to come down and crash. Then it would stop and fly straight across for awhile and then change directions. Oh and last night the 3 guys that were out told me that one came down very much closer than the rest and a bright flash came across the sky ever so fast, like a flash of a camera. The guys have been watching them for 3 nights until 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. They say more come out about 2:00 a.m. and started to disappear after 4 when it is threatening to become light out.

Witness Direction: These are really amazing. I cant' tell you how real this all is.

Description: I have always thought there was a huge possibility of other life, but never imagined this to come in front of my eyes. There is an air force base here in Comox and I just can't imagine them not seeing all this action. I can't imagine the whole town isn't up side down checking this out, maybe it will be tomorrow when I report it.

Color/Shape: Circle of lights in flashing red green and some time blue. One of them was just a clear amber color lights in a circle, saucer like. The lights would not only come on and off, but would fade out and reappear in a different location all together.

Comox, British Columbia Multiple UFO Witnessed (Second Report On This)

Posted: February 11, 2008

Date: September 9 - 12, 2007 Time: 12:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Comox, British Columbia Number of witnesses: 5 Number of objects: 100+ Shape of objects: Jellyfish, Glowing orb, Multiple color spanning & shape changing.

Full Description of event/sighting: From the period of September 9 - 12 I have been experiencing sightings with visitors. The first night I saw them, there was this massive glowing sphere (orange-yellow) high in the sky around 2. I look more carefully upwards and realized there was another 8-17 in the area I could see just with my naked eye, Most of the others where high enough to make them seem like orange stars. The other ones seen where constantly changing shape and the colors always changed from red, to orange to blue to green to yellow. They had some sort of blue light or energy being expelled from the bottom side giving it the tendril look of a jelly fish. the second night there were much, much more of these ships, from 20-40 around in the sky, but this time some of the ships where literally cruising through the air rather than the stationary ones the night before. Each night these things come, they all leave into orbit at dawn. The final night of the visitors there where literally hundreds of these crafts all through out the air. When ever planes flew by them, each night they would disappear and reappear much further away. It only adds concern that the military has not yet even taking evasive actions.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
