Spike In Strange Lights Over Vancouver Island (CTV News Vancouver Island Video Footage)

On Sunday morning Brian Vike from The Vike Factor did a Skype video interview with reporter Gord Kurbis for the CTV Vancouver Island (Victoria) from his home in Houston, British Columbia.

The topic was on a rise in strange lights over Vancouver Island, and there were a good number of sightings of unusual lights, Triangular UFO and numerous reports of a meteor that flew over the Victoria and surrounding area.

Also at the same time, sightings of unusual lights/unknown objects/meteor came in from eye witnesses in the lower mainland and Vancouver area.

Object Looked Like It Was Burning And Seen From Victoria Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:15 p.m.

Hello, and happy New Year, I just found your site when looking for place to report sighting. I saw something tonight (around 20:15 Pacific), December 31, 2012.

In my life I have seen a few 'unidentified flying objects' but the two clearest in memory were this year, once in the summer at Shuswap Lake, and then tonight.

The one tonight was as I was driving home (in Victoria B.C.) in east to west direction and an object in the night sky caught my eye.

I thought at first 'just an airplane', but as I looked closer I thought it looked like something burning and thought maybe it was something someone sent up for  New Year's Eve.

As I watched it, it was moving in a even/precise manor, from north to south towards Port Angeles in Washington state. I actually pulled over to try an get better look.

Nearly as soon as I had it disappeared. There was a thick wintery cloud cover so maybe just went to them.

When I checked your site, one of the photos really looks like what I saw (DSCN4345_2.jp)! What's up with these? It looks like there are lots of reports of similar on your page.

I happened to have a dash cam going, and it caught it (before I actually saw it), but it is not clear, mostly looks like a small dot of light, but it does show a bit of its path, and perhaps indication of size by objects in frame. Crazy?

Glowing Balls Of Orange Light Seen In The Sky Flying Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  August 2012 and early January 2013.
Time:  Evenings.

Seen this in Winnipeg a few years ago with a group of my friends. Others in Winnipeg have as reported similar sightings in August 2012 and multiple people in various locations in Winnipeg in early January 2013 (that I know of).

This pattern actually seems quite common in these parts.

The ones we saw years ago moved silently across the sky in a fixed triangular shape.

Didn't look like it was very high off the ground and the lights appeared to have all been part of a single object.

Our assumption is that it was an experimental aircraft that that is still secret; similar to how the stealth bomber was mistaken for the longest time as a UFO.

Vike Factor Note: The witness for the above report is referring to a sighting which can be found here: “3 Orange Glowing Balls Of Light Grouped Close Together Grand River Near Caledonia Ontario” http://canadaufo.blogspot.ca/2012/10/3-orange-glowing-balls-of-light-grouped.html

Fast Moving Orange Lights Seen In The Sky Over Girmsby Ontario

Date:  January 1, 2013
Time:  5 minutes past midnight.

I kept checking your blog to see if anyone else saw this, and finally you just posted it.

My brother, his girlfriend, my fiancé and I where outside 5 minutes after midnight to cheers with the neighbors, when we saw an orange light fly very fast over Hamilton to Niagara.

It got our attention and we thought we had just witnessed a UFO.

It was not a plane because there were no flashing lights, just solid orange.

Then about one minute later, a second orange ball flew in the same path behind the first one. The speed was twice as fast as an average plane and it moved in a straight line as well.

So happy to hear someone else shared that with us an sent you a email.

Thank you for your contribution to the UFO world, your efforts do not go unnoticed as I check it daily.

Orange Light Ascended Straight Up And Over Land O Lakes Ontario

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Brian, I was at a friends house in Land O Lakes, on New Year's eve, when I noticed an orange light in the east.

I grabbed my friend's attention (and his father), and we watched as the light travelled southwest, and then ascended straight up and disappeared.

Never seen anything like it. This clearly was not fireworks, and it was not an airplane, the light was clearly orange and solid, not blinking.

If I can be of any more help, let me know.
