Reddish Pink And Yellow Lights Over Oshawa Ontario

Date: January 1, 2011
Time: 12:20 a.m.

I just found your blog and have to report a very similar situation that I just read. I have chills as I write this. We just finished ringing in the New Year in Ontario (Oshawa-about 50km east of Toronto) and at about 12:20am, went outside for a smoke. There were 6 of us who saw an orb flying above houses in our subdivision. 1 by 1, more appeared and continued to fly above us.

In total there were about 10 of them flying in a line but only 2-3 were seen at one time. when they got closer and lower to the ground they quickly disappeared. The orbs were reddish/pink and yellow. They flew steadily and quickly and made no sound.

It is now nearly 1:00am. We have been online since we saw the objects to see if anyone else has reported this sighting near us.

Thanks for reading.

Gliding Orange Objects Over Barrie Ontario

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 12:00 a.m.

Hi there, just reporting two flying/gliding orange globes/orbs, about 500-1000 feet from us in our home in Barrie, Ontario Canada at the stroke of midnight on New Years eve (technically 12:00 am, January 1st, 2011).

My husband and I saw them from our living room window. We were/are sober and amazed. These lights seemed to glide and hover at times, and not a sound was heard.

We had raced outside and saw them travel across the sky, from West to East, and we watched them for a least a minute. It was incredibly foggy, but these lights were very obvious, and didn't seem to be in a rush as they crossed the sky. Wow!

Sincerely.

Boomerang Winged UFO Spotted Over Pilot Butte Saskatchewan

Date: August 11/12 1997
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m. and 12:18 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Pilot Butte Saskatchewan.
Number of witnesses: 7 and 1.
Number of Objects: 1 and 1.
Shape of Objects: Boomerang wing.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: A lot happened afterwards too. The first night the object looked liked a scalloped wing, bright against the stars, high in the sky. Much, much bigger than a jet plane at a high altitude. No sound on either night.

The second night I was alone in my back yard. I was watching the Perseids meteor shower. (as we had been doing the night previously). It was very clear moonless night and the constellations could be seen clearly, Cassiopia especially. I was about to turn in for bed when the Northern Lights flared up in the distant north horizon. I went to my gate to get a better view, my yard at that time faced the open Prairies.

Something to the east of me caught my eye, I can only describe it as a gathering of a flock of black birds, this was only a few seconds, then this huge object sailed over my head. It was so low I could have thrown a rock at it and hit it easily. It was a pale gold/silver, champagne colour. (the colour of many cars these days.) It was just a huge wing, with protuberances all over it. They looked like upturned loaf tins, about 18ins long by about 10ins, very smooth and no corners.

It seemed odd that the object seemed to float like a fish in water, rather than something in air.

It made absolutely no sound, not even a hiss or a swish or anything. It was not an ultra light or a hang glider, I am sure of that. It seemed to hover over my head for several seconds, then it moved above the light standard at the corner of the block about 30 feet away, then like a flash it was gone at an incredible speed up north.

I ran into the house and locked the door and pushed something in front it. I had to laugh at myself for that. I immediately wrote down what I had seen and the time. It is seared on my memory anyway.

Next day I measured distances in my yard and ditch and road and figured that it was about 20-30 feet long and about 80-100 feet wide. I also tossed and waved paper and string around to see if they made any noise as they disturbed the air. They did. I phoned the airport at Regina, and they told me they had registered nothing and every craft has to have a transponder on it.

I contacted Moose Jaw airbase by letter and they said they had nothing out at that time. I contacted them again with a drawing and I got a phone call from the commander of the base. He said they had nothing like that flying and didn't know what it was, and if I saw it again to contact him. I never saw it again.

Strange things happened to my flowers etc, but I don't know if this had anything to do with the UFO. Since then I have been very interested in sightings, but I have never seen one reported like the ones we saw.
Thank you for listening. Happy New Year.

Bright Object Travels Across The Night Sky Over Nanaimo British Columbia (ISS Sighting)

Date: December 28, 2010
Time: 6:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I'm writing in response to your article at: http://canadaufo.blogspot.com/2010/12/ufo-bursts-into-light-and-still-hangs.html

Today, around 6:30pm, my wife and I saw something somehow similar to your observation.

As we were getting ready to go, I took the time to look at the sky and enjoy the stars before going in the car, when I spotted what seemed to be a satellite. Having watched hundreds of satellite before, I quickly concluded that this was different.

The speed was about 3 to 5 times faster and the brightness what many times stronger than the reflection I've seen from satellites. Actually, the object was brighter than any stars, like a large white star.

The trajectory of the object initially appeared straight, but after around a minute there was a very slight curve in it.

Everything lasted less than 3 minutes. The object's brightness finally faded away within less than ten seconds and enabled me to get a better idea of it’s size and shape.

When the object faded away, it looked more like an actual satellite before disappearing than a star, which gave the impression that the object was much smaller. Unfortunately, the object completely disappeared and could not be found after close observation.

We were unable to get any precise shape nor altitude. When I was younger, I had the chance to see many types of aircrafts, since my father was a pilot and an air traffic controller. But this is truly strange. If this was a satellite, the speed was absolutely tremendous and the brightness so great that it would imply some sort of large reflective area. Because of this and the shift in trajectory, I conclude it is not a satellite.

Moreover, the brightness cannot be easily explained if this was an aircraft, since it would have required a great deal of energy for no apparent reason but to be overly visible. In addition, no sounds were heard on this quiet evening.

There was no trace behind, resulting from the object. I'm tempted to believe this was a long range missile that "stopped" in flight (west to east), but how could it not leave a trace?

Hope this helps. Best regards.

4 Bright Orange Lights Seen From St. Clair Street Chatham Ontario

Date: December 27, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

I was wondering what those orange lights were, because I also saw them (yes them, there were four) on the same night December 27, 2010 at about 6 pm; so I Googled it and your site came up. So I thought I would tell you my experience. I was a riding passenger, front seat with my two friends in the car along St. Clair street in Chatham, on our way to Taco Bell when I noticed four bright orange lights sitting in the sky.

They were fairly large, around the size of a base ball, which I thought to be weird since normally a plane or helicopter is a few small blinking lights no bigger then a pencil point, and they sat maybe five blocks away from one another making an arching line in the sky. They merely just sat there, until we reached our destination and as we got out of the car and watched them as they slowly started to leave, following one another.

We watched them leave until they disappeared behind the trees and buildings, it was perplexing, yet amazing. I wish I knew what it was.

If you do happen to know more about this or know of other sightings like this one, would you mind sending the links or stories my way, because I really want to look more into this.
Thank you.

Bright Flash Large Bang Followed By A UFO Over South Central Edmonton Alberta

Date: December 27, 2010
Time: 9:50 p.m.

Location of Sighting: South Central Edmonton Alberta.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Upside down bowl shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were sitting in our outdoor hot tub when we saw a sharp bright flash in the sky to the west of our home in south central Edmonton. The flash was immediately followed by a very large bang. We witnessed a glowing spot on what appeared to be the bottom of a shape the color of the clouds.

The shape was like an upside down bowl and appeared at about 1000 feet in the air. It steadily moved southeast at what we estimate to be about 1000 mph and it took approximately 20 seconds to cross the sky from west to east. It almost seemed transparent like a wisp of a cloud. Neither of us have ever seen anything like it. At first we thought it was a firecracker or something exploding in the sky, but then spotted the shape itself. There were clouds in the sky, but at the time the area around the object was clear blue and there was little to no wind.

Four Orange Red Balls Of Light Over Thompson Manitoba

Date: December 24, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, there were actually 5 lights, each the size of a bright red star, that appeared for approximately 2 minutes. It kind of looked like the base of the big dipper shifted locations in the sky, when the lady I'm with and myself observed the objects moving in the sky. We have no idea what they were, but tried to rationalize them as something like a group of helicopters, or other aircraft able to hover and shift locations in the sky quickly.

Though I do have my doubts that something can move that quickly in the sky when I later observed the speed of a commercial plane in the sky (it wasn't close to what these things did.) Anyways, it must be something rational like 5 air force jets flying a Operation Santa Claus practice flight. Thompson does have a radar observation dome that monitors the sky. I'm sure there's a record of these aircrafts being there. I'm going to attempt to look into it when I return to work.

Large Bright UFO Has Red Lights Coming And Going Over Komoka West Of London Ontario

Date: December 26, 2010
Time: 7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Komoka West of London Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1 + 4.
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We witnessed the same phenomenon last night as well. The sky was very clear and perfect for star gazing, so that's what we were doing when we noticed this very bright and large star on the drive home from London. We wondered if it was Jupiter as it was in the western sky.

However when we watched it during the course of the evening from our yard, we decided it was anything, but a star. With the naked eye we could see a 'Ferris Wheel' like display of colored lights, blue, red and gold. We also were amazed to see that while this 'light' didn't appear to be moving, but staying in the same spot and moving in a star-like way in it’s trajectory across the sky.

After tracking it’s movement from an upstairs window pane as reference point, we could see that this 'star' would move up and down and left to right in very tiny increments and return to the same general area as it moved across the 4 sky from our westerly vantage point toward the north.

Around 9:30pm we noticed very tiny red lights either coming or going from this same bright object. Through binoculars there was a definite revolving of colored lights in a circular fashion. Our vantage point would put the object at about 60 degrees.
I'm relieved that someone else from the area witnessed this sighting as we thought we were seeing something unusual ourselves. Thanks so much Brian, a Happy New Year to you and yours.

Another UFO Bright Red Light With Flashes Of White Light Over Kilworth Ontario

Date: December 27, 2010
Time: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Kilworth Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Large light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hello Brian, I popped out to walk the dog and have a cig, and looked up in the overcast western sky for a few moments. I turned to walk back up our path and caught a glimpse of a bright light over my right shoulder out of the corner of my eye. It was pretty low and very bright, so I paused and waited. About 3 blocks over, about 500 feet high it appeared silently, and slowly made it’s way in a straight line gradually getting lower in a easterly direction over the River.

From the time I spotted the light which was bright red with flashes of white light, not dull at all and not changing in intensity either, until the time it reached the river, I would say 8 to 10 seconds had passed.

The distance covered would be about 4 blocks. It was the only thing visible in the overcast sky, I heard planes earlier in the day and I could not see them because of the cloud cover, there were no visible stars tonight either. This was entirely silent, very steady and very low in the sky. Too low in my opinion to be an aircraft.

When this object was very close to my location, it was exactly the height of the cliffs on the south side of the river. I could make out the dark shadow of the cliff of the Komoka Provincial Park as the light flew steadily in front of it (the cliff). If my estimation is correct, then the object/light would have had to be lower than the actual tree line! (150 to 200 feet) Even on a cloudy night like tonight you can clearly make out the white of the sky behind the black leafless trees at this distance.

There is nothing obstructing my view except a few large trees in my own yard, nothing that I can't just step around in order to get a better look if you know what I mean. So, having said that, when I noted with amazement the very low altitude, and the close proximity of what I was observing this light just disappeared. It didn't fade out, it zipped away and it didn't reappear anywhere in the sky in the 25 or so minutes I was outside.

I hate to say this, let alone think it, but one can only imagine that that maybe it was trying to land. I don't know what to think, it was very surreal.

Thank you for your time.

Ball Of Fire Over Mission British Columbia

Date: December 25, 2010
Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Mission British Columbia.
Number of witnesses: 6
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: After dinner I went outside for a smoke. In the northeast sky noticed a bright light. It appeared to be a ball of fire, you could even see flames. It moved about the speed of a small aircraft and given the fact that it was completely overcast and raining. I figure it was at approximately 2000 feet as it passed from east to west.

The ball of fire was obscured by the back of what ever it was. We watched the news that night expecting to hear of a small plane catching fire and crashing, but nothing was reported. Any ideas as to what this was? Thanks.

Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My girlfriend and I were driving on St.Clair street in Chatham when we spotted this guy on the road with his 4 way lights on. He had his phone pointing towards the sky. I looked up and there was this orange round object that was moving slow and low and was flashing. It was amazing. I think it got lost in the clouds after. It was moving slowly towards the east and it was amazing.

Large Bright Flickering Object Would Grow And Shrink Over Ottawa Ontario

Date: December 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:53 p.m.

In response to the postings of a UFO sighting on December 26, 2010 at approximately 8:53 pm EST, I was looking out of my 11th floor patio window, scanning the clear Winter sky, when I noticed a large bright flickering object in the southeast part sky. As I watched it, I noticed that it was not flickering in a rhythmic pattern, it would grow bigger then back to its original size, and sometimes, it seemed to be either light green or blue, and orange.

At some points, it would glow larger rather than grow larger. Because it was stationery, I knew that it wasn't an airplane. But it was the fact that it would grow larger, then smaller again, which made me think that it was indeed a UFO. I watched it until 10:10 pm when a friend called me. We spoke for a little over an hour and a half. So when I went back to look for it, it wasn't there.

Because of the reports of the sightings in London, Ontario on the same date, in particular, the one that saw it in the northwest, I knew that we were looking at the same object, because Ottawa is northwest of London.

I hope to see more sightings. In fact, I know I will.

Lights Zooming Around The Sky Over Kelowna And Westbank British Columbia

Date: December 12, 2010 and in 2003.
Time: Evening.

Hey, not sure if this is a real sight or not . But I wanted to let someone now what I've seen, to offer me an explanation or something

2003- I saw lights in sky at bus stop, there was 5 or 6 of them. They appeared to be chasing one another, not in an aggressive way, but in a 'game like manner. Witnessed by me and another person waiting for a bus.
These lights came fairly close, then shot off so incredibly fast.

I now live in Westbank near the water. Lights move from the sky and seem to skim the water, I thought these were car lights from the hillside on the other side, but these lights are similar, if not exact to what I saw in 2003. There is no pattern to how they fly, just a chasing pattern and then gone and up into the sky. I have seen these lights several times and I know they are not planes, aircraft, flashlights and cars. Just a side note, when I have no cell service, my cell says no network service.

Anyway I am not crazy or making this up, Just want to let people know who might believe me and offer me an explanation !

Additional Information:

Yes, I saw most the articles ! I thought out of all the sites yours was most reliable. I was in Kelowna before my move to Westbank, I lived in the mission area. I was at a bus stop in the boonies one night (there was another person waiting as well) when very noticeable lights were zooming around. There was 5 or 6 and they were just above an orchard (as we were at the bus stop on a hill and could see into the valley) they were luminous in blue color and large. Within seconds 3 shot up and the other went north across the valley and then swooped upwards. This was all in about 5 seconds or so and the guy waiting for the bus asked me " what the heck are those, do see this.

I did see what he saw as well. They moved at amazing speeds and all 5-6 of them were "chasing" one another like a game of tag, they were hard to count as they maneuvered so quickly. In the black night they were more visible, but I cant explain the speed, it was crazy. They zoomed around that night for about 3 minutes, then went so far up we could no longer see them.

I have seen these lights as recently as December 12th, 2010 above the lake near west point 4-5. This is when my cell went out of service until the lights vanished .

What concerns me is that about 20 years ago my dad who lived in Hartel AB Near Okotoks has similar sightings of lights chasing each other. He wasn't crazy either. What are they ? There's intelligence, the way the move as it seems calculated.

Bright Light Hovers Northwest Of London Ontario

Date: December 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

I was reading your website this morning after Googling information about a UFO over London Ontario. I was directed to your site and when my daughter and I read your site we noticed there was alot similarities in what we saw and what you saw.

Last night (December 26, 2010) at about 11:00pm EST I noticed a very bright light to to the northwest of the city. I wasn't sure what I was looking at, but I know it was something I had never seen before. I thought maybe it was some type of star, so I called my daughter to come and take a look..

We quickly decided that it was not a start and definitely not a plane that we were looking at. It was stationary for the longest time and then slowly started to move. It started to speed up and move sideways and then stopped and then started again! It moved fairly slow after that and we watched it disappear in the night sky!

It also had a blue type of light and a red light, and they were not airplane type lights either!

Like I said I am not sure if what we saw was anything, but it was definitely odd and strange and nothing that either one of us have ever seen anywhere before! We were quite awe struck and are very curious now this morning

Thanks I hope that this little bit of info helps. Sincerely.

Bright Orange Red Object Over Southwest Of London Ontario

Date: December 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 0100 hours.

Location of Sighting: Southwest Of London Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Orb.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi Brian, while walking my dog this morning across an open field, a very bright orange/red orb (single light, not a combo) caught my eye in the southwestern sky over London, Ontario. The colour was similar to that of sodium streetlights though just slightly more reddish.

It was obviously not any kind of regular aircraft due to the brightness of the light, the slow to halting speed at which it traveled, the irregular flight pattern it displayed as well as a unique element that I'd never before seen emit from anything besides a search helicopter and most certainly not from that height. The moment I saw it, I regretted not having my video camera with me.

The night sky was primarily overcast with patchy bits of darkness peeking through and this 'orb' seemed to be approximately at cloud level as it would vary in intensity from very bright to occasionally slightly diffuse. It traveled in a slow path in a northwesterly direction covering approximately a five degree arc in the sky while I was watching before it slowly dimmed and disappeared. The length of time I had it in view was about two minutes or less.

There seemed to be a scanning light of sorts emanating from the 'orb' which swung a few times visibly through the clouds at a relatively short range from the 'orb'.

I can't seem to locate the height of the cloud ceiling on weather networks so distances are tough to calculate, but I would guess the 'orb' was at around 15,000 feet and didn't seem to stray too much from a level path.

I wish there was more to report but that's about as descriptive as I can get. Regards.

Reddish Orange Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle Over Thompson Manitoba (Other Sightings)

Date: December 24, 2010
Time: 7:47 p.m.

I live in Thompson Manitoba Canada and on December 24, 2010 at 7:47 my boyfriend came running into the house yelling at us to come look at the sky. When my mom and I got out there, I seen 3 reddish orange lights in a triangle.

They looked the same size as the stars. Then after about a minute the middle light fell and faded, then the first light faded. I ran inside to grab some binoculars and when I got outside the last light wasn't there.

This is how my boyfriend explains what he seen before I got out there.

"Well first there were five lights in the distance that could've been confused with something else, then with great speed they were almost right above me, and I could see the lights in the front that formed a triangle while the lights in the back seem to fade and it seemed like it was cloaked, like there was something I wasn't fully seeing."

There were 4 others who seen the lights besides the 4 of us. Some of them saying they seen them around 7:00pm. So I'm guessing they were hanging around for awhile.

But Thompson is a small town and these lights were pretty noticeable. I wouldn't doubt more people seen the lights or even got video and pictures!

This is all 2 weeks prior to a sighting 4 hours away on December 10, 2010.

Two hours north of Bird AKA Fox Lake Manitoba Canada the engineers on the train seen blue and green lights hovering over or off to the side of the tracks. Then shined really bright lights over the train and lit up the surroundings, they reported also seeing red, blue and green lights before it shot up in the sky. It messed up their satellite signals and the train couldn’t move for couple hours. Passengers and conductors saw it too.

And in 2006 on another website (not sure which still searching) There is a report of an upside down cup UFO sighting by a Dam near Fox Lake.

More Witnesses To These Unknown Flashing Lights Over Kelowna British Columbia

Date: December 25, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

Hello, my two friends and I saw two of the red and white flashing lights you describe on your website. It was at the exact same time approx: 8:00 p.m. PST. It was amazing!

If you would like more info, please contact me.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I am not surprised more sightings have been shared. The date was yesterday, Christmas day and my friends and I had just finished Christmas dinner when we went outside for some fresh air. The first light appeared, mostly red, but it pulsated an orange colour. There was
none of the typical engine noise from a plane and did not follow the normal flight path of aircraft heading to/from the local airport.

It came nearer to where we were, then seemed to dim in some wispy clouds, then completely disappeared. To our amazement, on the horizon there was another light that appeared, on a much lower flight path than the first. As we watched, this one changed speed and direction, and it seemed to pause for a moment (like it was taking a picture), then it seemed to ascend and at one point it looked like a star in the constellation Orion, before completely disappearing out of sight.

Just have to share that I am a channel and I heard after the sighting that it related to the "bouncing point" of 2012.

Did anyone get any video of this?

7 To 8 Unknown Flashing Lights Over Richmond British Columbia

Date: December 25, 2010
Time: Approx: 7:50 p.m.

Hi Brian, I posted a comment about below sighting on my FB and a cousin from Europe sent me a link detailing the sighting from Kelowna. We saw individual flashing lights (like a very powerful camera flash), about 7-8 of them, around 7:50pm last night. This was in Richmond B.C.

The flashing lasted only for a moment, and the brightness varied between them. This did not look like a lightening at all, although it was coming out of a cloud (or from above it). I wonder if anyone else spotted the same thing in Richmond.

All the best, and Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it)!
