Daytime Fireball With Tail Observed Over Vernon British Columbia

 

Date:  February 9, 2008

Time:  Between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

 

I believe I saw the same daylight fireball February 9 near Vernon, BC. It was between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. I was walking towards my house when I saw a bright white light in the sky to the north.

 

It seemed quite low to the ground and quite close to Vernon, and was heading on a downwards trajectory of about 45 degrees.

 

It was too large and too bright to be a plane, so I assumed it had to be a meteor. It never diminished in brightness during the time I was able to see it, and I actually saw a trail of what looked like smoke behind it.

 

There was also a reddish light that could have been flame. Eventually it got low enough in the sky that the other houses in the neighborhood blocked my view, and I have no idea whether it continued flaming or made impact anywhere.

 

I haven't heard of anyone else in Vernon so far who observed it.

Multi Colored Lights Seen Over Hardy Mountain And Christina Lake British Columbia

 

Date: Unknown.

 

My friend and I used to watch UFOs at Hardy Mountain a few summers ago, they were the same ones with the flashing multi coloured lights (red, green, yellow etc.)

 

We also saw quite a few out at Christina Lake those ones would be one blinking white light following another around the sky then one would flash really bright and they would both disappear.

I too am not crazy.

Bright White Object Shot Red And Green Streaks Of It Over Toronto Ontario

 

Date:  February 14, 2009

Time:  Evening.

 

I saw a light with a very similar description last night (February 14, 2009) in the western sky in Toronto. It was a very large, incredibly bright white light.

 

The light had these streaks that came off of it and it almost looked like every once in awhile it would shoot red and green streaks of light outwards from it. I saw it flicker and get very small, then get huge and very bright again.

 

I also saw it flash red. It sat there perfectly still but was too close to be in space, it was just sitting in the sky. We watched it for a long time, it seemed to drift slightly.

 

Then we saw the lights from planes flying near it and heard helicopters over head. It was to the west, and watching it made me feel very, very peaceful. The thing was beautiful. What is this thing?

White Ball With Tail Streaking Through The Sky Over Predator Ridge Golf Course Vernon British Columbia

Time:  Approx: 4:30 p.m.

 

my wife and I were driving north on Highway 97 at Baileys corner at the turn off to Predator Ridge golf course at about 4:30 p.m. Monday February 9, 2009 and we saw a large bright white ball streaking through the sky westward and descending.

 

It had a long trail of what looked like fire trailing behind. the sun was very bright and at first it almost appeared to be an aircraft possibly on fire but it was travelling at an incredible speed.

 

It disappeared behind the hills and out of sight.

Bright Object Seen In Daytime Over Toronto Ontario

Time:  1:00 p.m.

 

Hi all, I also saw this light in sky in Toronto, Canada at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday February 15, 2009. It was so bright and would sort of flash. It was not a steady light. I watched it for a full five minutes and it did not move at all in the sky.

 

I have never seen anything this bright in sky in the middle of the afternoon that did not move.

After reading other entries I feel that a few people have also observed this Light/Object over the past few days. I would like to share thoughts as to what it might be so if you have also observed this please call me at, (Phone number removed).

Bright Light Over Fowlers Corners Ontario (Either A Planet Or Bright Star)

 

Date:  February 14 and 15th, 2009

Time:  8:00 p.m.

 

I saw that bright light also. I was standing on my brothers deck with my sister and brother on an annual siblings weekend in Fowlers Corners. We were keeping my brother company as he was running the barbeque.

 

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed what I thought at first was a comet, then it came to a stop and sat there. When we came out about an hour later it was gone.

 

This was on February 14. On February 15 at around the same time. The bright light was there again, then gone. I just looked out right now and showed my husband.

 

It is 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 16th the bright light is in the sky again. West. Too bright for a star. Can someone please tell me what it is. Is it a satellite?
