Huge Ball Of White Light Over Edmonton Alberta

Date: 1978
Time: Evening.

Hello, I've been searching the net about the above and found your article.

I saw a huge ball of white light when I was in my car going home near Whyte Avenue. I sat in my car for about fifteen minutes and stared at it. It was about 10 stories high of the ground, over a open field, very white light, and did not move or make any noise. It was definitely not of this earth.

I have never told anyone about this. Good to know someone else saw the object. Cheers.

Around 9 Stationery Bright Orange Lights Over Honey Harbour Area Of Georgan Bay Ontario

Date: August 4, 2011
Time: 10:30 p.m.

At least 9 stationery bright orange points of light suddenly appeared grouped together low over the horizon to the southeast. Some fading in and out and moving very slowly, 4 remained stationary and became even brighter, there formation reminded me of the 4 main stars in the bowl of the big dipper.

This amazing sight lasted approximately 3 minutes. I have never seen such an amazing sight before in my life. It was truly unusual. I called out to my wife and she to was witness this event. I did see a few boats heading directly in the direction of the formation, they must have seen them as well!

As suddenly as they appeared, approximately 3 minutes later they just disappeared just as we were scrambling for the camera.

I am a private pilot and stargazer, what we saw that night was totally unexplainable.

Around 12 Large Glowing Lights Over Strathcona Park Lodge Campbell River British Columbia

Date: August 6, 2011
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Saturday night, August 6th, 2011 we returned to the lodge around 11:00 PM. We noticed three large glowing objects in the sky at about 5 thousand feet up.

They moved very slow, but not all at the same speed. When they came overhead where we were standing, the light went out and they were gone. We saw at least a dozen of these objects and they all did the same thing as they got over us.

The light diminished and they were gone. It was a very calm clear night and there was no noise at all from the objects. I have never seen anything like this in my life. It would be nice to know if anyone else saw them or what it was. The four of us were quite in awe.

Flashing Object Over Huntsville Ontario

Date: 12:30 a.m.
Time: August 10, 2011

At 12:40 am tonight (Thursday morning), I am seeing something in the sky here I’ve never seen before. Saw your email on a site when I Googled for objects in the night sky, am thinking you might be interested, and might know what I’m seeing.

Its about one hand width above the western horizon, almost due West. If you follow the line from the last two stars in the end of the handle of the big dipper, it is below that plane. It isn’t moving at all. Doesn’t look like a planet or star, bigger.

Its sparkling like crazy, flashing bright white, blue and red. Looking through binoculars at it, it doesn’t appear any closer or better defined. Its flashing very quickly, more like sparkling. Looks larger than a star, larger than I’ve ever seen Venus or Mars. But very, very colourful red and blue.

Any idea what it might be? Space station maybe? Very curious!

White Blue With Orange Ball Of Light Observed Over Downtown Toronto Ontario

Date: October 10, 2011
Time: Between 8:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

I was sitting on my balcony sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. My balcony faces south towards the lake in downtown Toronto. I saw what I can only describe as a "poof" of light in two bright flashes. It literally went "poof" and was gone in a blue-orange flash.

A friend saw the 2nd flash and another friend saw a light from the corner of his eye, as he was not looking in the same direction.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, It was Monday October 10, 2011 somewhere approximately between 8:00pm-8:45 pm. This white/blue hazy opaque ball of light with an orange (almost flame like) light from within just appeared, what appeared to be mere meters away from the edge of my balcony.

It did not appear to be high in the sky, but rather right there. I live on the 23rd floor. It did not streak across the sky or come toward us, but rather just appeared, it wasn't there and then all of a sudden, there it was. As quick as it appeared it literally went "poof" and a smaller orb in similar appearance was there then it went "poof" and was gone.

There were no trails of light, similar to a shooting start or comet. I can't even explain what it was that I saw. There were 5 others with me. One of them saw the second orb and another saw the light from the corner of his eye. No one else saw anything. I was so thankful that someone else had seen what I saw and even more thankful to have found your website so I know I wasn't the only person who witnessed it.

I don't know what it was, but I'll never forget it.
