A gentleman called into The Sean Leslie Show which was on CKNW radio to ask if anyone had reported an object hovering over the New Westminster area. The witness was out on his patio having a cup of tea. His neighbor and a few more watched the object. He believes the object was hovering over the hotel area down 6th street. There were three objects with lights laboring the objects, also observed was alternating light patterns and the fellow said he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
I am hoping I will be able to look into this and waiting to hear from the man who spoke about this sighting, also there was another witness who called in over the exact same thing.
This short report can be heard on the The Sean Leslie Show interview.

Burnaby, British Columbia Three Object The Size Of A 747 Jet
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 28, 2006 Time: Approx: 1:00 a.m.
This witness also observed the odd lights the fellow from Cloverdale saw, but this man thought the lights were over Edmonds, Burnaby. He saw three lights floating around in the sky and thinking it might have been the Bell Airship. But as he watched, the lights separated and moved a good distance a part from one another. The fellow said the objects were "huge" in size. The witness also called his roommate over and both watched and took video footage of what was happening in the sky.
Whatever these lights were the fellow claimed that they were as large as a 747.

Hazelton, British Columbia A Green Light Rose Up From Over The Mountain
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 29, 2006 Time: 12:30 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Round/circular.
Full Description of event/sighting: Myself and two other friends were walking down to a local pub on Friday night which was actually Saturday morning about 12:30 am and about half way down by the soccer field I was looking at the sky to the south while my 2 friends were talking to each other. I noticed some kind of green light rise up from over the mountain or trees like a flare, and originally I thought it was like some kind of fire work or green flare like a roman candle.
All of a sudden it lit up the sky and it kind of silhouetted the clouds and then it went from east to west in like a second and disappeared. It was green and had a little bit of red on the bottom of it. I also thought it could be like one of those green meteors, but when I thought of it again, I haven't seen a meteor go from down to up then left to right in a matter of seconds.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Something Was In The Sky Over Terrace On April 24, 2006

Terrace Standard News: http://www.terracestandard.com/ (Click on community tab)
TERRACE'S REPUTATION as a UFO sighting hot spot continues thanks to two independent reports from two couples who both saw mysterious lights in the sky the evening of April 24.
The lights were described as blue-coloured balls with tails coming out the back, says Houston, B.C.-based UFO researcher Brian Vike.
Vike, one of North America's leading UFO researchers, said having two independent reports makes the occurrence all that more tantalizing.
"In the first report there were three balls and in the second, two. Whether one was behind the other then, I don't know," he continued.
The sightings were at about the same time - shortly after 7:30 p.m. - as well and the weather conditions that evening were excellent.
"That this took place during daylight makes it very interesting," Vike said.
The first couple was on Munroe St. on the Bench and the second in the arena parking lot. Their sightings were toward the south. Neither reported a sound coming from the respective objects.
"They moved together, silently through the sky from our right to our left sides," reported the wife of the first couple's observation.
"They were fast, but slow enough that we both could say 'Do you see that?' and look back."
The woman added that she would not have told anyone but that her husband "is a non-believer of anything, and even he saw it."
The husband of the second couple said their sighting looked like flares or a welding spark.
"One large one and a smaller one underneath. I jumped out of the truck and said, 'Did you see that?' and she said 'yes,'" he said of his wife.
"[It] was kind of spooky. Never seen anything like this before in my life - probably never again," the man continued.
Vike welcomes information from anybody else who saw something in the sky shortly after 7:30 p.m. on April 24.
Terrace at one time ranked near the top of UFO sightings for all of Canada.
Vike can be reached at hbcufo@telus.net. His Web site is http://www.hbccufo.org and his phone is (number changed).

Terrace, British Columbia Object Appears To Change Shape
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 14 or 16th, 2006 Time: 12:30-3:00 a.m.
Hi Mr Vike, I read with interest of some strange sightings in the Terrace area in our local paper. I witnessed a few strange things around the 14 -16 of April, these were at night about 12:30-3:00 Am.
One was of what at first I thought was a very bright star and was towards the south, It was very bright and occasionally seemed to elongate itself into a different pattern. At first I thought it was because I was watching it through the sliding glass which has a sliding screen. So I opened the screen and stepped outside and looked at it from different angles and it appeared to change shape. It was very bright and to the right of it was what appeared to be a blue ball.
I took out our binoculars and viewed through them and it appeared to be very bright in the middle and to have the effect of red fireworks exploding around the edges of it. When I changed position and sort of viewed it from the side it appeared to have a bar of very bright lights across the middle like diamonds in the bright sunlight. It was there for a few hours and I thought it might be the Mir station. But I looked Mir up online to find out where it was that night and it was not over our area. My Husband viewed it the next night and also I called a friend over to see if they could guess at what it might be. Also My sister in law who lives a few streets over closer to the Skeena River had viewed it on those nights as well.
Also interesting to me was the fact that a couple of nights later both myself, my sister in law (from her own house and I at mine) and my husband who was woke up by the sound all heard what appeared to be a very loud heavy airplane about 12:30 am, we do not have planes coming in around that time unless its the medavac and that's a small plane, it stayed about an hour and then took off, I was wondering if you would have any idea of any goings on here by military?? My sister in law got a picture of this plane, although its poor quality it does looks big.
Don't know if this is connected but just this last week I seen what I at first thought was a shooting star although it seemed larger than any I had ever seen before and was also towards the south I would be interested in your view of what any of this could possibly mean?
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Terrace, British Columbia More Witnesses To Brilliant Blue Lights
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 24 , 2006 Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.
Report taken by telephone.
A lady from Terrace, British Columbia called to file a report after she read an article in the Terrace Standard newspaper today. The lady explained that both her and her husband had viewed the very same lights that were reported by others on April 24, 2006 and over their home in Thronhill. She went on to say it "freaked" the heck out of her as the brilliant blue lights were so close to their location overhead. Again a tail was reported and the lights totaled three in all. According to the witness the lights moved extremely fast and there was no sound to be heard. The lights were traveling from west to east, actually the folks are close to the Terrace airport. They reported being able to observe the light for about 4 to 6 seconds at the most. As they people mentioned, it was still daylight out and you could not miss seeing the objects as they were a very bright blue in color.
Altitude wise, they said the lights were very low. Her husband thought it may have been a falling star/meteor. The trail following behind was not long in length at all. No sparks or anything like this coming from it. The two witnesses were outside working in their yard at the time they spotted the lights.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Terrace, British Columbia Witness Reports Lights A Different Color
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 24, 2006 Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.
Report taken by telephone.
A lady from Terrace, British Columbia called to file a report after she read an article in the Terrace Standard newspaper over the strange blue lights. The witness also reports that she saw them as well, three lights, but in this report the three lights were different colors. The individual lights were a neon blue, pink and yellow in color and tapered off at the end, or the backside of the lights. Also a line was noticed following behind the lights, which I believe to be the tail, or small short contrail.
From her home in Thronhill, Terrace she was watching the airplane coming into land at the Terrace/Kitimat airport when she spotted the lights. But she pointed out that the lights were not in anyway close to the aircraft.
The lady told me she has never witnessed anything like that before and she does watch the day and night skies alot. Again the lights were traveling from west to east and the lady said it was an amazing sight to see. No sound could be heard. She reported that the lights were not high in altitude. This women reported being able to watch the lights for approx: one minute.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Terrace, British Columbia Possible Lights Burning Out
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 24, 2006 Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.
Report taken by telephone.
A gentleman from Terrace, British Columbia called to file a report after he read an article in the Terrace Standard newspaper on the lights witnessed on April 24, 2006. The fellow was at a friends home which is located in Thronhill. He reports seeing two of the objects, but he stated what was mostly observed was a white contrail coming out from behind the two objects/lights. The fellow said the trail/tail was longer when comparing the length of the lights to the trail. He mentioned that his friend said, "hey look at that"! When he looked up, the lights had moved by and the man said it had to be going at a good clip. The fellow thought it was possibly a meteor, and went on to say if this same thing was observed after dark he would have thought it to be a falling star/meteor. It was low, really, really low according to him. The witness figured if whatever they were didn't burn out it was close enough, and low enough he figured it would have darn near landed in the back yard. The lights were heading from west to the east The sighting lasted maybe a few seconds at most.
He figures they may have been at the tail end of the event, which was right by the golf course at the west side of Thronhill. The man thought they watched the lights burn out from his location.
There were two witnesses for this report.

Terrace, British Columbia Three Silver Bullet Type Objects
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 24, 2006 Time: Approx: Before 7:30 p.m.
A lady from Terrace, British Columbia called to file a report after she read an article in the Terrace Standard newspaper on the lights seen on April 24, 2006. This witness was downtown in Terrace (below and about a 1/2 mile from the Terrace arena, ) when she saw three lights staggered apart from one another and holding a finger up at arms length she estimates each light may have been roughly a foot a part. The lady reports what she saw looked like a silver streak, sort of the shape of a bullet. The lights were heading in an easterly direction. Again she pointed out that is was still daylight which made the sighting all the more strange for her. No sound was noted. There were streaks running behind it, again a trail following behind the objects. The object was reported to be very low in altitude from her location. The three lights were seen for approx: two seconds, a rough estimate anyway.
Thank you to the witness for her report.

Terrace, British Columbia Other Witnesses Come Forward For Amazing Display
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: April 24 2006 Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.
Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Round?
Full Description of event/sighting: I am another witness to the "balls" that were seen in the sky in Terrace on April 24th, 2006. I live in Copper Mountain and was out for a walk with my husband and children. I had just glanced up into the sky and at first I thought I saw one of those jets that leave the white tail behind it. I was going to tell my son to look up at the plane when I realized that this was something very different. From my position I could not tell specifically the colour of the actual objects, my first thought was that they were grey, but there was a definite blue "streak" behind each one. First I only saw one but quickly realized there was another on top and another below the initial one that I saw. They were travelling from my right to my left across the sky and they disappeared from my view when they went past Copper Mountain. I immediately turned to my husband and said "Did you see that?" He didn't and of course when I told him what I saw, he had to tease me about it. I told one other friend and my Mother and then pretty much dismissed it until I read the article in yesterdays paper.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Terrace, British Columbia Fast Moving Streak - Another Witness

Date: April 24, 2006 Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.
HBCC UFO Research Note: Although there is not very much information to this report, it does give confirmation that yet another person saw the lights over Terrace on April 24, 2006 at approx: 7:30 p.m.
I wanted to report that I live in Terrace, B.C. and saw a slender bluish streak cross the sky to the south on April 24, 2006 early in the evening. I was visiting at the hospital and the streak seemed to move from west to east. Thanks
HBCC UFO Note: Again the witness reported another fast moving streak.
I just observed a fast moving streak for approximately ten seconds, no tail or smoke. The object was extremely slender and the colour very striking as I recall. Sorry that's about all I saw.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Jet Aircraft
Posted: January 17, 2008
HBCC UFO Research Note: Although this is not a reported sighting of an unidentified object, I thought it was important to post this information for the date and time give by the person. My reasons for posting this report of jet aircraft is due to hearing some scuttlebutt about normal aircraft being seen after UFO sightings in some areas of Canada.
Date: April 30, 2006 Time: 10:50 a.m.
Message: Brian, I saw something a little strange, and while not a UFO sighting I thought it might be of interest. At about 10:50 am CST I noticed a contrail of a large jet going west to east over Saskatoon. There were 3 other contrails coming from the north that curved in behind it.
When I managed to catch sight of the jet is was directly over head. Gaining quickly behind it were 3 fighters. They were hard to distinguish as I assume they were at the jet's cruising altitude.
I couldn't keep sight of them for very long but they seem to be maintaining their course. I lost sight of the jet about 30 seconds later. We thought perhaps they were fighters from Cold Lake providing security for someone important?
Additional Information:
Brian, It was Sunday April 30, 2006 10:50 am. Like I said it was the weird contrails that caught my attention. I am fairly certain they were fighters but they were way too high up to see any identifying marks. They were in a 1/2 V formation.
It happened too fast to grab a camera. If it was some form of a training exercise you would think they would have found a more secluded piece of airspace. There was another commercial flight coming from east to west on a flight path that was slightly further north about 10 minutes later. We do get a lot of high altitude flights over Saskatoon. I'll keep my eyes skyward and let you know if anything else "flies" by.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

East Vancouver, British Columbia A Triangular Shaped Object
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: End of April 2006 Time: Evening
Message: I was reading the June 18, 2006 description of a UFO over Downtown Vancouver. My children and I also saw UFO's the end of April that at first looked like a star, but on closer observation with a telescope, we saw that the mother ship was triangular shape and had red blue and orange that flashed with alternate intensities. It hovered for about an hour and then gradually moved to the west then disappeared in a flash at warp speed. There were two other crafts like this that looked smaller higher up in the sky. We lived in East Vancouver at the time. Just before we moved out , a few days before 24 June, 2006, we saw these UFO again in the night sky.
Thank you for your time. I'd love to see any photo's that may have been taken. We did not take photo's because with the naked eye, it looked like a star. Somehow my 11 year old son knew it wasn't a star and encouraged my 7 year old and I too view them with a telescope.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Visitation To Residents Room In Care Facility, East Vancouver, British Columbia

Date: March 3, 2006
Time: 3:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Man like Visitors.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, as you know my wife works as a care aide at one of the Seniors Facilities in east Vancouver. She just phoned me to tell me that as she was getting one of the residents ready for bed.
The resident turned to her and asked her who the two strange men were who came into her room last night. When asked, what two men.
The resident told her that she woke up around 3 to 4 am and found two strange looking men standing beside her bed, they apparently told her to go back to sleep as they wanted to examine her stomach. She said, she got scared and refused to close her eyes.
The two men apparently got a bit agitated as they wanted her to sleep so they could get on with their examination.
She instead started to get out of her bed, at this point the two men turned and left her room, she was not clear on whether they used the door or just vanished. My wife asked her to describe the men. Apparently one man was extremely tall but average looking.
The second man was fairly short and although she knew he was a man he did not look like any man she had ever seen. My wife asked her what color they were, white, brown, black etc. the resident told her they were not really light skinned but not all that dark.
She said the shorter man really scared her because he looked so strange. She couldn't explain what it was about him, just that he looked strange. I forgot to ask how they were dressed and my wife didn't mention it.
She asked my wife to leave all the lights on in her room as she was really scared they would come back. My wife is working that wing all by herself so now she also is rather apprehensive.
I told her the resident was probably dreaming but she said she had said the same thing and the resident insisted she was not dreaming, from the sound of things she remained awake for the rest of the night.
My wife was not sure off hand just how old the resident was, she thought either 83 or 93. I asked how her mental condition was and my wife said. She has a clear mind and is very alert.
If I know my wife she is going to be terrified for the rest of the night and probably scared to go outside after work.
Anyway just to tell you how your eyes can play tricks, I was sitting here last night and glanced out the window just in time to see a round white glowing ball of light rising into the air above the green tower of central city mall.
For a moment I was really startled, but then when I leaned forward to get a better look I realized it was just a cloud of steam from the chillers up on the roof of the tower.
First time I've seen the steam form into a perfect round ball like that, guess the wind must have caught it just right.
One more strange occurrence, on the morning of Monday the 28th. I was dreaming I was back at my high School reunion and talking to the same classmate I first met that night when I went into the room.
I as trying to find out more about what he had been doing for the past forty six years. Trouble was I woke up before I could ask him everything I wanted to know. Last night I received an Email from the lady who looks after our reunions and keeps track off everyone.
She had received an email from the daughters of the same guy I had been dreaming about. Apparently he had passed away in his sleep on the 28th.
Who knows maybe he came to visit me and say goodbye. All I know is when I read he had died I just felt sick inside and still do. I went to school with him and his twin brother right from grade one to grade twelve.
Additional Information:
Hi Brian, I got a chance to discuss yesterdays occurrence a little more. Apparently the resident was sound asleep and told my wife she sensed there was someone in her room and she could hear two men talking but could not understand what they were saying, she opened her eye to find those two strange men in her room.
She asked them who are you, what do you want. they apparently just ignored her questions. She told my wife the two men were angry because she wasn't supposed to wake up and they couldn't understand why she had.
She said they examined her all over especially her stomach. When they were finished with their exam she said her throat was all sore and she couldn't talk for a while. At no time did they speak directly with her but just between themselves.
My wife said she didn't at first realize what the woman was saying and when it sunk in then she got a chair and sat down beside her and asked her to repeat what had happened and to describe the two men.
The resident repeat her story over and over about four times and didn't change a word. I asked my wife why the resident hadn't resisted or called for help, she apparently told my wife she had tried to push the call button and they had stopped her, when they examined her she was unable to move.
She told my wife she had been waiting for her family to come that day so she could tell them but they didn't come, she then decided to tell my wife as she likes her.
My wife told me once again that this resident is not confused and knows what is going on. I asked how the two men left and apparently they walked out the door.
She was scared they would come back and told my wife they were really weird looking and that she had never seen anybody who looked like them before.
She asked to have her lights left on and asked my wife to leave her door open and come by and check on her as much as possible while she was there. This my wife did and found the resident sound asleep each time she came by.
My wife says she is going to talk with her some more when she gets to work this afternoon.
I forgot to mention I asked my wife how they could be in the Hospital without being seen at night and she said there are just two people on at night in that wing, one care aide down and the Nurse upstairs.
Unless they were making rounds and came upon them unexpectantly they would never be seen. I asked how they would have got in, and she has no idea. The front doors are locked at night and they have alarm systems.
The only thing she could think of was aliens. I think my wife was feeling a little apprehensive when she left for work.
Thank you to the person for reporting this story.
If anyone has witnessed this please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Full Description of event/sighting: I don't know if this is anything but, but I looked out the window and I saw this round object over the ocean. It wasn't that big, just a little tiny thing and it had three different lights, green, red and white. They were flashing after another and I would say it was there for about an hour or so. Trail, British Columbia String Of Lights
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 13, 2006 Time: 10:45 p.m.
I had a report of a string of 6 lights which were spread out across the sky traveling at a low altitude (approx: 500 feet) on the northern outskirts of Trail. The reported colors were blue, and red. They moved rather slowly, moving up and downward on a straight flight path from west to east. The lights did not flash or blink off and on, pretty much a steady light. The only witness said they watched the lights for approximately 2 minutes before he lost track of them.

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband woke up early in the morning to get ready for work, and woke me up to take a look out the window. He told me that the "bright light in the sky was back" (he's seen this before). I've always told him that it's just a star and to go back to sleep. This time, though, it looked totally different. This was not a star! It was a huge light in the lower portion of the sky. It looked as though there may have been several lights within the large light. It didn't move and stayed there quite a while. We live by the airport and when planes are coming in to land, their lights shine this bright, however, this light was not moving.

Piererfonds, Quebec Large Fluorescent Light
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 18, 2006 Time: 11:55 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Streak or cylinder.
Full Description of event/sighting: While driving 50 kph going west on Pierrefonds Boulevard, observed quite large "fluorescent light colored" (white) light making a short arced streak across part of overhead sky ahead. Duration 1 second. Looks like if it continued it would have hit land around, say, 20 km or so away.
Basic impression was that it was a very close shooting star - if "close" shooting stars are indeed white light in colour, then that's most likely what it was. I once saw one very high in the sky, and it made a long whistling sound, but this one could not observe sound due to car/road noise.

East Vancouver, BC A Large Bright Red Flashing Light Flying In Circles
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 25, 2006 Time: 4:06 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1
Full Description of event/sighting: It was a large bright red flashing light that was flying in circles somewhat low at times to the ground. There was not any sound coming from the flying object and due to the fact that planes are restricted to flying into YVR during the night I figured it was not a plane. The object was circling the area above my house and then proceeded to turn and fly over the next block, like it was surveying the area. At one point the object went straight up and I knew this could not be a plane due to erratic flying pattern it was making. After 20 minutes of this the object just disappeared.

East Vancouver, BC Another Witness Observes The Strange Red Light
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 25, 2006 Time: Approx: 4:00 a.m.
Hey, Brian, about that story posted today on your website about the red flashing bright light, my girlfriend and I were awake at that time (she has a sore elbow from breaking it months ago) and I noticed it moving from north to south, kind of over East Vancouver. It was flashing and very red. I pointed it out to my girlfriend who said it was probably a FedEx plane coming in, as I think those mail carriers are allowed to fly early in the morning.
All I know is that that light was really red, and from our vantage point, seemed to have only one red light and nothing more ie. no green or white nav lights.
I guess all you could do is phone YVR and ask if a FedEX plane came in to land at that time.
PS: As we were awake, I joked that we should be looking out our bedroom window for UFOs as they are seen early in the morning. I told my girlfriend about the guy who lived near English Bay and saw a UFO over English Bay at 4:00am awhile back.
Additional Information:
Yes, it was around 4:00 am. I was up before my girlfriend, but she woke up suddenly because her elbow was hurting her. As we were talking, that's when I noticed the light outside in the distance. Our bedroom blinds are always open slightly as one of our cats always rattles them if they are closed (so she can't look out).
The first thing I noticed was that it was really, really red. The weather was clear with medium puffy clouds. The red sure stood out against the dark blue sky.
Hello, Mr. Vike!
Here's a few more observations on that red light from early this morning. When I said that it was flashing, it wasn't really "flashing" with some strobe-like effect, it was more like these slow pulses ever second or so.
One can hear in their mind what the pulsing would sound like, sort of like a ...... whooomp ...... whooomp ...... whooomp .... as it moved quickly but not too quick.
I am still not feeling that "My, God, I just saw a UFO" kind of thing, but the more I think about it, the creepier it's starting to feel to me.
The creepiest thing is that I wouldn't have seen it if I didn't wake up from a harsh dream, realizing I had to pee, peeing then climbing back into bed, hitting my girlfriends sore arm where she wakes up, we talk and as we talk I glance out the slightly raised blinds (for the cat) where I see this intensely red shining light.
It was I reckon maybe 2 miles or so away, and most people would automatically think that it was probably a jet. The shape wasn't elongated like a jet would be, but it is still hard to tell at night from a distance.
As for the other lights and craft that I've seen (I never saw nothing until I moved to Burnaby) they all appeared "out of the blue". Literally. Especially the small light that flew 10 ft. over the Cessna over BCIT back in Feb of 2002.
With this morning's sighting, "accidental" sighting more like it, it really suggests that people who happen to see genuine UFOs are indeed lucky. Some people do say this type of thing.
I agree. All of the stuff that I've seen, all I was doing was either smoking, walking my dog, or stretching my legs. I have been wondering to myself lately when I would see my next UFO, or perhaps do I really want to see one, but as it is I did but I just don't know it yet.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
