UFO Changes Colors Over The Eastside Saskatoon Saskatchewan

Date: January 6, 2011
Time: Approx: 8:45 a.m.

Hi, my cousin witnessed a similar account just yesterday morning January 6, 2011 over Saskatoon's Eastside by the Exhibition Grounds around 8:45am with a co-worker. Similar type of linear object that flew like no aircraft could while changing from red, to white to green while the sun had not yet risen and we had a cloudy forecast.

It dropped from the clouds and hovered above the river while moving sporadically in the sky. They exited their vehicle and began walking towards where it was moving when it began to change its colors then flew off towards the South. Not sure if anyone else experienced this sighting and may have scared a few people while they began running towards it yelling UFO once they realized it was not of this world.

Rectangular Object Seen Over Forest Grove Saskatoon Saskatchewan

Date: December 6, 2010
Time: 8:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Linear vertical spear of light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: There was a plane also flying up from the south with a long tail of contrail behind it. There was a shape like a line, but a small one just a tick, long enough to look linear and not circular or orb like a star or something.

This was more a rectangular I guess. Sun had not fully risen, so at first I thought it was just a star. After watching it for a while I decided it was odd and probably some type of UFO.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Native Indian Medicine Wheel Objects Filmed North Of Saskatoon Saskatchewan

Date: Weekend of the 7th and 8th, 2010

Good evening Brian, Here we go again, another strange object in the sky just north of Saskatoon.

Just a few miles north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan we have a native Indian heritage park. In that park the University of Saskatchewan is managing an intensive archaeological dig with some sites uncovered in the park dating back thousands of years, making them older than the Pyramids of Egypt.

One of the features of the site is a native Indian medicine wheel that I have become fascinated with. I have attached a photo of it, but as you see from a distance the rocks outlining the wheel are barely visible. You have to be right in the circle to see the tops of the rocks now 3/4 buried in the soil. The intriguing thing about this medicine wheel is that the grass, although it still grows some, it does not ever mature to the height of the surrounding grass.

It kind of reminds me of some crop formations here is Saskatchewan that I have studied during my years as a field investigator. It lends one to think something must of happened on that spot to retard the growth of the grasses and maybe that is why it is still a sacred place for our native population.

Anyways, with all that we have been seeing in the skies around here in the past years and also hearing from other researchers of how sacred sites seem to be very active when it comes to aerial phenomena I developed a strong sense of need to go to the site. Last weekend we decided to go and just do a little investigating and maybe keep one eye to the skies. After a pretty lengthy hot trek we managed to find the circle.

Everything was pretty uneventful as you really can't do much there as it is kept protected, so we just sat down and watched the skies. Of course we never saw anything. I have learned in the past that taking just random shots without really having any subject in the photo has produced results for others. Well, that's what I did, I just pointed the digital camera straight up into the skies above the circle and began taking random shots, 15 to be exact. That soon became just a bit boring as neither my wife or I were seeing anything.

I almost didn't bother taking a look at the photos on the computer, but I am glad I did. Carefully studying each one I couldn't see anything but blue sky but then the fourth photo showed this or these objects, it almost looks like two separate objects. The remainder of the 15 photos were just blue sky. These two attachments of the object(s) consist of the first one being the original and the second one I enlarged and enhanced it a bit to try to bring out the shape.

There was definitely something up there for a brief period. What? I don't have a clue. It would be very interesting to know if any other visitors to that site have noticed anything in the skies either around it or within it.

Thanks Brian for the opportunity to report this experience.

Saskatoon Saskatchewan Object Filmed (Photos)

Date: June 19, 2010
Time: Daylight.

Good evening Brian, hope everything is well with you. I just thought I would send you the following report with photos of what took place in Saskatoon this past weekend.

On Saturday June 19th we were just enjoying a beautiful day on the deck and glad the rain we were having for so long had stopped.
After glancing in the sky to the northeast I saw what appeared to be a bright orange sphere shaped object. After grabbing the binoculars I noticed that it was actually two spheres but one was much dimmer than the other.

I ran to get my high resolution video camera, but the time I got it all set up it had disappeared.

Disappointed I sat down and left the camera set up just in case and sure enough, maybe 2 minutes later I noticed this black object at the same location.

Through the binoculars it was easy to tell that it almost seemed like a group of spheres with the overall shape constantly changing. Please see the photos I have included.

The first one is the object as it looked without using the telephoto lens. The next 3 are with the telephoto on. The last one is when it disappeared behind a tree before disappearing for good.

Most spheres we see are bright white and sometimes grouped, but this is the first time black or dark grey have appeared. Very interesting indeed. I do have the video but now I just have to learn how to download it onto the internet. When I ever figure that out I will send you the video also. Thanks for the opportunity to report this.

Location of Sighting: Saskatoon, Sask.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Sphere.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At my work place I decided to go outside for a quick coffee break. Glancing up into the sky, I noticed a sphere like object, bluish in colour with a bright white light or maybe the sun reflecting off it. It was hard to tell as it was up quite high. Travelling from the west to the northeast it passed directly over me and I observed it until it went out of sight.

UFO Triangular In Shaped Over Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Posted: January 17, 2009

Date: January 16, 2009
Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.

Tonight, same thing as on January 6, 2009. I was driving by McNally Robinson and saw the exact same thing in the sky, in the exact same spot (albeit, about 5 hours before the previous time). Again, my logical mind insisted it was an airplane or something, but it didn't move. Also, that whole logical idea I had in my head about the cold causing weird colored twinkles just doesn't vibe, since it's quite warm out right now and so I was able to see it much more clearly. It was definitely triangular. It seemed a bit closer than last time. The lights I thought were blue were actually white, and I could also definitely see a red light running up and down one side of it, blinking intermittently.

This time it did move, although it wasn't moving when I initially saw it. I actually parked my car in a parking lot to stop and stare for a while, then I remembered I had my camera. I reached into my purse to grab it, taking my eyes off it for a second, and by the time I turned my camera on and began zooming in, it began moving towards the north really fast. It circled behind me and I lost it. So I continued driving down the alleyway and all of a sudden it appeared in the northwest, moving quite fast towards the RCMP airplane that was also circling overhead. I tried to watch it, but had to keep my eyes on the road. When I glanced back up, it was entirely gone.

I really wish I had someone with me to witness these things, because out of everyone I try to tell, only one person doesn't think I'm crazy.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan A Triangular Shaped UFO

Posted: January 17, 2009

Date: January 6, 2009
Time: 12:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Southeastern part of the sky, Saskatoon.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangular.

Full Description of event/sighting: I actually saw this object twice. The other night I had the munchies, so I walked the block to 7-11 for some chips. The minute I walked out the door of 7-11, something caught my eye. In the southeastern part of the sky just below and on the left side of Orion's belt I could see some lights, blue with some red intermittently blinking. I stopped and watched it for a bit, thinking it was probably an airplane and waited for it to fly out of sight. But it didn't move.

I crossed the street, continuing to watch it. I could almost make out a triangular shape, with the red blinking light running up and down one of its three sides. However, it was cold (which creates strangely-colored lights with stars), and my contacts are not up-to-date, which meant I had to sort of squint to watch.

I then figured it must have been a satellite. Although it seemed fairly close and any sort of satellite that close to Earth would have shown some movement, right? I walked into the alleyway and stopped to stare again. No movement, but it was blinking (twinkling) more rapidly. I stopped again beside the apartment across the street and stared some more. It still didn't move...which made me think it must have been a star. But what kind of star had three sides in an equilateral triangle? With different colored twinkles, one of them seemingly running on a line from one point to another? I stopped again beside my apartment building and kept staring. Someone walked by to get into the apartment and gave me the weirdest look before going in...and why not? Here was some chick standing by the door with a bag of chips in hand, staring intently into the sky with her mouth wide open. I decided to grab my camera and look at it with the zoom lens.

When I got back out there and turned my camera on, my battery died then and there. I had no more batteries. So I stood there staring a while longer before heading back inside, wondering what the hell it was.

So, that is what I saw. A UFO was my first thought, wiped out by more logical thinking that didn't add up. And whether there's a good explanation or a sci-fi explanation for it, I do not know.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Fireball/Meteor

Posted: November 20, 2008

Date: November 20, 2008
Time: Approx: 6:30 p.m.

Hi, my husband is an over the road truck driver. He called just awhile ago saying he saw a really bright meteor around 6:30 near Saskatoon. He said about 10 minutes later the whole sky lit up, like daylight for a few minutes, then went dark again. He wanted me to go on line to see if I could find anything about it. He also said lots of other drivers were on the CB Radio talking about it. I found your link and that's the closest thing I could find on it. I just wondered if anyone else reported the sky lighting up. Thanks.

Thank you to the person for their report.

Time: 0725 hrs to 0728 hrs.

Location of Sighting: Intersection of Lenore Road and Warman Road.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Circular.

Full Description of event/sighting: Circular in shape with blue, red and white lights. First thing I asked my daughter to look for wings. It did not have wings. Because we live so close to the airport you always have to rule out that possibility. The object flew over us and flew from west direction to the east towards Aberdeen, Saskatchewan.

Date: November 5, 2008
Time: 7:05 a.m.

Location of Sighting: North East sky.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Dark Triangle.

HBCC UFO Research Note: Recently there has been a number of witnesses to a black triangle sighting in Ontario, Canada. I now receive a report of a black/dark triangular UFO being seen hovering then shooting straight up out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is very important if anyone has been witness to a black triangle sighting in Ontario and Saskatchewan would you please contact me with a detailed report. You can email me directly at: hbccufo@telus.net or go through my website which can be found at: http://www.hbccufo.org Thank you, Brian.

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband and I were driving North on Preston Avenue, I was in the passenger seat looking out the window when I noticed this dark triangle with 3 lights hovering in the northeast sky, just sitting there. I started to ask my husband, "do you see that?." and just kept saying what ? He made a U-turn just as the triangle went straight up really fast. There was this trail of light as it went up. By the time we completed the U-turn it was gone. He never got to see we I saw, to confirm what I was seeing. I can only hope someone else seen what I seen.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ISS Sighting

Posted: September 30, 2008

Date: September 28, 2008
Time: About 8:10 to 8:30 p.m.

Hi, Brian, I was walking home last night (Sunday, September 28) from about 8:10 to 8:30 and watched this bright light as it came up over the western horizon. From it's speed and brightness, I immediately assumed it to be the ISS, which I have seen many times previously. Last night, the transit was from due west to due east and almost directly overhead. It is fairly consistent in the amount of light it reflects back, although I have seen it change in intensity and colour as it passes overhead, a predictable outcome of the way sunlight will be reflected off its solar panels and other surfaces and the amount of atmosphere the light has to pass through to reach the observer. I was pretty sure at the time that it was the ISS. I checked the time, 8:20 p.m., and confirmed the transit on heavensabove.com when I got home. I did not see any other objects or lights pass over during the time that I was out.

The previous two times I saw the ISS, it was visible from horizon to horizon. It was brightest when it was overhead and was noticeably dimmer near the horizons. Last night, however, was different. Since I was walking westward, I saw it early, so I stopped to watch it while standing on a quiet residential street. As with past sightings, it grew brighter as it approached. As it passed overhead, I turned to watch it continue eastward. A few seconds later, I noticed that it took on a slightly reddish hue and began to fade. It faded much more quickly than previous times I have seen it and seemed to grow more reddish in hue as it did so. It then faded in intensity much more quickly than I have seen previously. A few moments later, I lost it in the haze of light pollution that glares from shopping malls, strip malls and other lighting nearby. At times, I almost thought that it was wavering or slightly zig-zagging as it passed overhead, but I attributed this apparent motion to my unsteady stance. If I braced myself, and observed how it approached and passed stars, I could see that the apparent wavering stopped.

I'm pretty certain it was the ISS and not some unexplained phenomenon. I figure that the dimming of it's intensity and the reddish hue were caused by the way its solar panels reflected and refracted the sunlight striking them.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Over Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Object Turns From Bluish To Bright Red

Posted: September 28, 2008

Date: September 28, 2008
Time: 8:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Over Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Shape undetermined.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi there, My wife and I were out for an evening walk, and left our house in the Parkridge area of Saskatoon. About 30-40 seconds after leaving our house, I happened to glance up into the sky, looking kind of Southwards. I noticed an extremely bright light brighter than any of the stars moving very rapidly from the West and going East. I told my wife to look at the satellite, but we both thought it was much too bright and moving too quickly to be a satellite. After watching it for approximately 8-10 seconds, it appeared to accelerate very quickly, turned slowly from a bluish white into a bright red color, and then disappeared instantaneously. We also noticed as it travelled from West to East, it appeared to be travelling at an upward angle gaining altitude.

We kept walking, but continued to watch the sky, and approximately 4 minutes after the first sighting, my wife noticed another light travelling in the same direction but it appeared to be alot higher. This one did not appear to turn a bright red like the other, but it appeared to accelerate rapidly, and then also blinked out in an instant.

I don't know alot about satellites, but I don't think they travel West to East in a straight line, I don't think they turn from bluish-white to red, and then disappear and I have certainly never seen one move as fast as these two objects moved. I also stayed outside to observe what I thought were satellites and I noticed they appeared to be higher in the sky and moved very slowly in comparison. They were also not nearly as bright as the objects we witnessed and appeared to move in a clockwise direction along with the earth.

I also observed several planes and/or jets in the sky around the same time and they travelled much differently than the objects we noted. They also had blinking lights, whereas the objects we witnessed did not.

Both my wife and I walk alot in the evenings in the same area and have never witnessed these objects before. Can you please give us your professional opinion as to what we may have seen?

Thanks for your time.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Another Possible Witness To Saucer UFO Sighting

Posted: September 16, 2008

Date: September 14, 2008
Time: 9:45 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research Note: The person who wrote the below report up, was confirming that they may have seen the same sighting as for the following report which can be found at: http://www.hbccufo.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=5011

Interesting report. I was out walking at the same time as the reported incident (9:45 p.m.) and thought something caught my eye near the bottom of the big dipper. I spent the rest of my walk glancing up in that direction and around the sky, but never saw anything. The sky was somewhat blue, kind of an indigo colour, from the (nearly) full moon, and light pollution in our neighborhood was creating a haze that made it hard to see any but the brightest stars. Even the stars of the big dipper took some effort to see. Anyway, it's nice to know that I wasn't seeing things. Maybe something was there, indeed.

Thank you to the person for their report.

Time: 9:35 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan my back yard.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Saucer shape inverted 90 degrees.

Full Description of event/sighting: Object was like a saucer, but didn't fly like they show in movies. It appeared to be flying and turned 90 degrees. It was sighted just below the lowest right hand star of the big dipper. It dropped down about half way of the horizon and proceeded to come towards the back yard at very rapid speed. It had lights at the outermost points, moving toward the centre of the object and then clusters of lights in the centre. The lights were the same color as the star light.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Shape of objects: White Star-Like Circles.
Weather Conditions: Clear Night Sky.

Description: I spotted the object last night (July 28th) and thought I would go out again tonight to see if I could see it again. It took about 10 minutes before I saw anything, but I noticed what appeared to be a star to the south. It was fairly low to the horizon and I was looking at it through power lines. I noticed the movement immediately because it kept creeping up in my line of sight to the next power line.

The first one appeared to go straight up until I could not see it anymore. The light faded out until invisible. When I was first looking at it, it was at about a 45 degree angle to me. By the time it dimmed out, my neck was at maximum flex (at least 90 degrees).

A few minutes later in the South-East I noticed another moving "star". This one traveled north bound, and when it was almost immediately above my head, it stopped. I watched it for about 15 minutes, but it did not move and my neck was getting quite sore from staring up at it, so I went inside.

As with my previous sighting on the 28th, both of these objects did not appear to be planes, and were clearly at a very high altitude. No noise was audible.

For the first object, it took about 20-40 seconds before it was too dim to see. The second object traversed from south-east to north (directly above my head) in about 15 seconds.

TV/Radio: None to my knowledge.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Refracted Light From The UFO

Posted: August 12, 2008

Date: July 28, 2008
Time: 10:20 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Unidentifiable; Refracted Light from the Object.
Object appeared as a glowing mass of white light.
Weather Conditions: Fairly clear night sky.

Description: I was outside of my house in the Buena Vista area of the City of Saskatoon, having a cigarette, when I looked up at the horizon to the south-west/west and saw what appeared to be a star that was moving.

After a few seconds I could clearly tell the object was moving quite rapidly as it traversed a decent amount of the sky. It was as white as the stars in the sky, but it was much brighter.

I tried to dismiss it as a plane, but for the speed it was moving across the horizon it would've had to been at low altitude and there was no audible noise. There were also no wing lights that you would expect on a plane (ie. Red and Blue flashing).

From the time I saw the object in the south-west, until it disappeared in the horizon to the South-east/South, the elapsed time was approximately 1 minute. Its flight path was from one horizon to the next, and almost directly over-head of my house (slightly angled off to the south)

I called one of the other residents of the house to come see it, and we both agreed it was not a plane.

The object appeared as a bright white light. The light was being refracted into a star pattern, with two clearly defined light spikes coming from the top and poking slightly to the right and left.

After I lost sight of the object I went back in the house for approximately two minutes. I then went back outside to find a plane traveling in the same direction as the object I saw. I could clearly see it was a plane as it had the beacon lights flashing. I could also hear a propeller.

TV/Radio: None that I'm aware of, but the sighting was only 20 minutes ago.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan A Strange And Unknown Flashing In The Sky

Posted: August 12, 2008

Date: August 6, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi, Brian, I've been sitting out on the patio in my back yard, facing north, this evening. After a hard day, I thought it might be nice to sit and enjoy a small pot of tea as the air cools and the night sets in. I first went out at twilight, around 9:30. I have a good view of the eastern and northern sky. Portions of the western sky are blocked by trees. My house blocks the southern sky. Directly overhead was one of the bright stars of the constellation Draco, the first star in my field of view bright enough to be visible. It was still too bright out for other stars to be visible. As I relaxed and watched the sky, I thought I saw a flash or twinkle in the northern sky, almost due north, about 40 degrees up. Perhaps the sun glinting off a satellite, I thought, or maybe the navigation lights of a high-altitude jet aircraft crossing the country. Intrigued, I scanned for signs of an aircraft. About half a minute later, I saw it again, in exactly the same place. That ruled out a plane a satellite or, at least, the same plane or satellite, but what are the chances of two of either reaching that same spot within half a minute? Could be my eyes playing a trick on me, can't rule that out. Half a minute or so later, another flash or twinkle. A few minutes later, same thing. Always in exactly the same spot, near as I could tell.

I got distracted for awhile by some things in the yard and inside the house, but was back watching the sky a little before 10:00. By that time, it's dark enough that I could make out more stars. There was no star visible where I saw the twinkle. There would be a couple of stars in the constellation Camelopardalis that would be visible in that area most nights, but it's still too light out to see any stars around there at 10:00. Toward the northeast, one of the brighter stars of Cassiopeia was now visible. Further east, I saw a light aircraft with flashing navigation lights flying level, headed due west. I watched the small plane cruise through the sky, noticing that there's another small plane flying a parallel path to the south. I figure one of them, probably the slower and more southerly one, is Saskatoon's police patrol plane, which is out most nights. The more northerly plane approached the part of the sky where I saw the strange twinkling earlier. Suddenly there was another flash of light from the same spot as before, but this time it was much brighter. The shape was not like a twinkling star, but more like a line or thin cylinder or dumbbell kind of shape, consisting of two very bright twinkly points, shining momentarily like sparklers on a birthday cake, with a straight, thin bright or shiny line joining them. The two bright points were maybe three degrees apart, about the width of my little finger at arm's length. The phenomenon lasted only a fraction of a second, maybe an eighth to a quarter of a second at most, but long enough that it was unmistakable. It made me jump. I watched the sky for several minutes, but did not see any other twinkles or flashes. Frankly, the whole episode began creeping me out once the bright flash occurred, and I packed up my tea and lawn chair and came into the house by about 10:15.

For what it's worth, nights when I work late in my office, which has a north-facing window, I am sometimes distracted by flashes of light coming from that part of the sky. I've always assumed it was just my eyes playing tricks on me or, more likely, the sides of my eyeglasses reflecting various light sources within my office. That is still the most plausible explanation, but now I'm not so sure. By the way, there were no sources of light outside that could have caused reflections in my glasses outside this evening. What I saw in the sky definitely was really there.

If I'm feeling less creeped out, in a little while, I might go set up my camera on a tripod just to go shoot that area of the sky. Perhaps if I'm lucky, I might get a shot of that phenomenon.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
