Ex Royal Air Force Serviceman Observes Orange Glow Walsall From Birmingham UK

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  September 4, 2010

Time:  10:15 p.m.

Brian, please refer to this story - http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2009/05/sutton-coldfield-birmingham-england.html

I seen exactly the same light traveling in the same direction last night (2215 04/09/10).

I spent 4 years in the Royal Air Force and left in 2006 and I believe I have seen more or less every aircraft that the UK/US fly's in our skies, and worked for some time on operational bases within the UK.

What I seen was not a helicopter or a plane (that I know of) as there was absolutely no engine sound, this object also moved very quickly in exactly the same direction (Walsall from Birmingham).

I initially thought a plane was on fire, and was heading towards my parents house in Walsall area (hence my interest in the object). I half expected to hear an explosion of some kind as the orange glow disappeared and faded into the horizon/distance.

I know that the military would never ever test aircraft around a major commercial flight path, which this object was very near.

I have no explanation of this, only a possible meteor or comet? How likely is this 'meteor' to have passed on the same path before in the same area? Many Thanks.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

3 Orange Balls Of Light Spotted Flying Over Mount Royal Road Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  July 19, 2012
Time:  10:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I just read your account of seeing an orange light on July 8, 2012 while I was searching Google for a possible explanation of our experience at approximately 10:30 this evening.

Like yourself, my husband, son and I live near the airport and to the east of our house can see the planes descending along the Mount Royal Road flight path.

Tonight the three of us saw three separate balls of orange light, to the east but, because of some cloud cover it was difficult to tell if they were only a few streets away or much further.

They were of a significant size so as to be easily noticed and appeared to be somewhat burning or flaming as opposed to being solid orange coloured objects.

Within probably 60 to 90 seconds all three appeared to either slowly extinguish or else moved behind the clouds.  They did not reappear.

My son is wondering if these could have been Chinese lanterns, which can apparently be purchased at the Dollar Store.  He thinks these are lit in some fashion and rise into the sky.
I'm not sure if anyone would chance releasing any burning object during these scorching weather conditions, let alone three, yet we feel there must be some logical explanation as to what we saw.

Just thought you might be interested especially since you described your sighting as also being orange coloured and somewhat pyrotechnic.

Additional Information:

Thank you for your reply, Brian.

Mount Royal Road is in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and it is probably the major flight path for departures and arrivals in our city.

After watching a few lightings of Chinese lanterns on you tube, I believe this is most likely what we saw.  However, articles on these lanterns have advised against releasing them near airports or flight paths and around trees.

Also, to this point, no one else has reported seeing anything unusual last night in Winnipeg.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Montreal, Town Of Mount Royal, Canada A Big Round Fire Ball

Posted: May 23, 2009

Date: October 5, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Big round fire ball.

Weather Conditions: Don't remember exactly but I think it was a bit cloudy

Description: I was walking my dog with my sister in law and all of a sudden a large floating ball of fire flashed about 3 times and disappeared. This happened directly in front of me, it appeared about 1 km away and a few meters higher than the trees. At the time my sister in law was looking down and as soon as I saw the flashing light I grabbed her arm and tugged it hard and yelled out her name, I was quite startled. By the time she looked up the object had disappeared. This ball of light was much larger than a star, maybe the size of a large beach ball.

TV/Radio: I am not sure if it was reported and I am not exactly sure of the date but I know it was in October and around 9pm, I assume it was October 5th because there was another sighting that day around that time.
