Approximately 28 To 34 Orange Lights Observed Over Coquitlam British Columbia

Date: February 26, 2011
Time: Approx: 7:21 p.m.

Hello Mr. Vike, I wanted to ask if anyone else had observed approximately 28-34 orange lights in the sky last night around 19:21hrs. The lights were evenly spaced and were observed in a two-line formation traveling quite quickly for approximately 10 minutes.

I had taken photos with my phone whilst standing on the street in Coquitlam, B.C. Thank you.

A Vike Factor Note:  I have posted another report over this same sighting, you can read this at: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/2011/02/around-50-bright-lights-and-thunder-of.html

Around 50 Bright Lights And The Thunder Of Jet Aircraft Over Burke Mountain Coquitlam British Columbia (Pictures)

Date: February 26, 2011
Time Approx: 7:30 p.m.

Hi, I'm just wondering whether anyone else has reported to you any unusual activity in the skies above Burke Mountain last night at around 19:30hrs. I, my wife and daughter saw around 50 or so lights in formation appearing over the top of the mountain from the north and moved slowly towards Coquitlam.

They all very bright with no noise, probably at 2 to 3 thousand feet. Do you have any ideas and do you want any further info. We all found this to be very unusual, particularly as it was snowing and the lights appeared fairly low, Thanks.

Additional Information:

Brian, in addition to my last, the volume of objects took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to pass over head and then disappear into the clouds. We first saw the objects as we were driving up Lincoln Ave, facing Chelsea Park and the mountain. At that junction I was so surprised that I stopped the van in mid junction and got out to view.

I keep a pair of binoculars in the van so was able to get a better look. The objects were consistent with each other, emitting the same level of light and were the same size and shape. I had time to find my camera and took a couple a pictures, not brilliant, but do show a section of the lights. I will send them later once I get back to my computer. Also, some of the lights would stop and change direction.

Approximately an hour after the event I heard the rumble of very close jet aircraft overhead, perhaps the Air force? These made at least two passes. The nearest airport is Pitt Meadows and I'm sure I've never seen or heard such aircraft operate from there. Before. Hope this is useful, let me know if your contact at YVR can offer an explanation. Thanks.

Brian, as promised please see attached documents. They are in actual fact 1 to 2 seconds of digital camera video, not very good quality but you can just make out the lights above the tree line taken from my drive way. Its a new camera and for some reason it doesn't want to record more than a few seconds.

Witness Observes Disc UFO While Feeding The Deer At Nanaimo British Columbia Canada

Date: February 5, 2011
Time: 3:40 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Rice shaped? Oval? Disc?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I live in an area where the lights aren't nearly as bright. There's a small forest and river near by, and I go outside once in a while if I'm awake and see the local deer out there. I was feeding one some slices of apple, and looked up to see how cloudy it was to anticipate the weather for later that day and I saw it. A disc in the sky. I thought I was seeing things, so I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Twice.

I felt so shocked, like I was stunned and couldn't move due to awe. If I held my hand out, it would be the size of my thumb nail (across). I could almost bet it was reflective, because staring at it, you could tell it wasn't glowing, it was like it was silver, and reflective. Dim, but definitely there. I've worked on military bases here before, and I know helicopters don't move like that.

It was like a swaying motion, but in that distance, it was moving back and forth maybe a mile or two, just back and forth. I watched for about 5-10 minutes before it hovered, then shot off really fast to the south.

9 Or 10 Orange Colored Objects/Lights Over Aldergrove British Columbia

Date: February 22, 2011
Time: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 9 to 10.
Shape of Objects: Orange objects/lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: 9 or 10 objects, orange in colour, flew overhead as I was walking to my house. They emitted a bright orange light which was brighter than the stars in the background. The objects seemed to be flying in random formation, like a kit of pigeons. They seemed to cross the entire length of the sky in no more than two seconds. It first appeared as a shooting star, but as it passes overhead, I could see there was multiple lights.

Bright Bluish White Object Breaks Up Over Comox Vancouver Island British Columbia (Meteor - Fireball)

Date: December 8, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

Dear Sir, I ran across your website while searching for others who might have sighted a really bright meteor/fireball over Comox at around 18:00 on 08 December. I think I might have seen the same object you did. I think it was a type of meteorite, what they call a fireball or bolide. I actually reported it to some kind of network, but have never heard back from them. Anyway, here's an excerpt of the report I sent in, see if it sounds like what you saw.

Best Regards.

Any reports of bright meteors or fireballs from Courtenay area around 17:30 - 18:00 on 08 December 2010? A colleague and I had an interesting sighting of what appeared to be a very bright meteor/fireball last night. We were returning to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack, having caught the 16:45 sailing from Powell River. I don't know the exact time, but I estimate we were about 30 minutes or so out of Comox when the sighting occurred (we could see the lights of Comox ahead).

What we saw was a very bright bluish-white object which appeared to break apart into about 3-4 smaller pieces and left a long very bright trail. I believe it may have been visible for as long as 4-5 seconds. We were sitting on the port side of the vessel and so were more or less looking south when we saw it at. I estimate the object was moving toward the south/southwest.

I cannot say whether there was any associated sound because were were inside during the sighting and viewed it through the window. I am no astronomer, but I have seen a lot of meteors over the years. I usually make a point of sitting out for the Perseids, for example. This was by far the most spectacular thing I have ever seen. My colleague saw it also. Did anyone else report seeing something like this around the same time/place?

Date: 08/12/2010
Time: 17:30 - 18:00 PST

Cloud: Not sure - there was some, but it didn't interfere with our sighting.

Location: Sorry, I can't provide coordinates from a topographic map. We were sailing from Powell River to Comox on the Queen of Chilliwack. Sighting occurred when we were approximately 30 minutes out (i.e., offshore) of the ferry terminal at Comox.

If the vessel's bow is taken to be the end of the vessel that is pointing at Vancouver Island, then we were sitting on the left side of the vessel, looking roughly south when the sighting occurred. From this perspective the object first appeared in the upper left hand corner of the window frame, got brighter and began leaving trail that persisted for a few seconds; pieces broke off and then the whole thing gradually faded.

Beginning_azimuth: ~ NE.
Ending_azimuth: ~ SW.
Magnitude: Not sure - is there a visual chart one can use for comparison?
Moon: Much brighter - similar to how an arc welder would look about 10 m away.
Duration: ~ 4-5
Speed: medium-slow.
Flares: About 3-4 fragments broke off it as we watched, traveling at about the same speed and trajectory.
Colour: Bluish-white; (perhaps a bit of orange).
Train: Yes - it persisted for perhaps 3-4 seconds (an estimate).
