Time: Evening.
I saw exactly the same thing as http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2011/02/10-orange-red-lights-over-johannesburg.html earlier tonight
There were 7 red/orange lights, 6 moving in formation, one lone one coming a bit later, they moved around, slowed down and sped up, I had video taped it on my cell phone, the image is not very clear at all.
My entire family saw this and I have no explanation for this, they are undoubtedly some kind of vehicle, but nothing I know of fits this description. They were completely silent, they could hover, and it seems as though they moved at high speeds.
The first thing I saw was the first of the red lights, the leader I assume, it looked like it had just taken off, it sped up, and then slowed down and hovered, waiting for 2 other lights, then the three sped off again and where joined by 3 more to make a V shape, they moved across the sky, then the seventh one came from where the others had come.
It was slow at first, then suddenly sped up in the direction of the others (which had vanished) and soon it was out of sight. Thank you to the witness for the report.
