I have been looking for a way to tell what I saw in early August 2012 Newfoundland.
Unusual and interesting. I saw an object that had 2 red sub objects. One went east the other stayed around the bigger object. The bigger object was round and ethereal, glowing.
I saw it over Random Island about 9:30 p.m. in the evening when I was out for a smoke. It was very unusual.
What I thought was most interesting was that I know the lights from jets and planes as we see them in the night sky and are always proud to know the schedule, i.e NY to LDN it is all timed.
This was most unusual. And there were sightings by others.
I still have no explanation for what I saw. It was huge, round and moving in a trajectory. That is fine and unusual in itself. But the red lights moving around it, not so much.
Whatever I saw was tested, red light came in to check it out and left.

August 27, 2012 was the third sighting. So I reported it and the RCMP came down and took the report. The first time, in late July when I had just got back, Mom saw something strange and bright that she thought was the moon.
She kept commenting that its movements were bizarre. The second time was the same as what this guy below saw August 3, 2012. It was big and glowing. Round and huge.
I saw it over the rooftop of the bungalow when I was out having a smoke. It was about 9:30ish and just gone dark. I then saw a red light come from the land side of Random, go over to the object and then dart back towards Snook's harbour and the mainland.
The object then proceeded out to sea towards McGraths cove. It was bloody huge.

My wife, I, my father and step mother were on my back porch at 930 pm in Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland. We all witnessed a glowing orange circular craft flying east to west in the sky. I waved at it and it came to a stop for about 10-15 seconds and then took off. It was about the size of an apartment building.
I called the local police and it got even stranger. The dispatcher asked where I was and
I said Clarenville. She said they just received a call saying to expect UFO calls. She said that people were at the mall using flood lights.
I said that's impossible, first its not flood lights second we're too far from there. She asked again where exactly I was. I said in Shoal Harbour, about 5 km away, and behind a mountain. She then said, "Oh, there are scientists in Clarenville today using thermal imaging projectors."
I said that doesn’t make any sense and the call ended.
Two minutes later the sky was full of fighter jets going every way. Needless to say I've been looking up thermal imaging projectors and its obvious she was lying to me.
I have been trying to find anyone else who saw this ever since but can not. This seems really strange we are all sure it was a ufo and it seems the government knows and is really trying to keep it quiet.
A bit of a strange report, not for the object seen but for what the witness says happened when the sighting was reported. Scientists testing an IR projector over Newfoundland?
Go figure.
