Two Large Extremely Bright White Lights Over Vancouver British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Me and my mom were driving home from the north end of town and we were driving down the upper highway, turning off of jingle pot to go downtown. Just as we turned we saw two incredibly bright lights.

From where we were looking they were where the ski hills would be in Vancouver (sometimes on a clear day you can see the faint lights, usually two or three), but right over the harbour from what I could tell. They were huge.

They were very high in the air and very close to being over the city. They were about as large as the light from a street light as you drive underneath it, but that far away it was eerily large.

They were the whitest white balls of light I have ever seen.

The two lights were about 6 inches apart from where we were driving. One suddenly just faded and disappeared very quickly. The other stayed in the sky then started to drop completely vertically.

It was fairly slow, took about 30 seconds to drop to almost the horizon (we were now driving south down third street right by NDSS) We finally were almost to Harewood on Howard Ave by the time it faded and disappeared like the other.

I know I'm not the only person to have saw this. They were so bright they caught your eye instantly. I'd really like to hear of any one else who saw.

Three Bright Orange Lights Seen Flying Toward Prince Edward Island

Date:  December 2, 2012
Time:  Evening.

3 orange bright lights at about 500 meters distance in the sky below overcast. They were travelling from south to north on one alignment at about 250 meters apart.

We stopped and I looked with binoculars, but could not distinguish any solid shape.

The three lights disappeared one after the other in overcast in direction of PEI.

Three Different Colored Lights In The Sky Flying Over Pickering Ontario

Date:  August 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

August 3rd, 2012, about 9:30 p.m. 3 lights, each different colours, but moving exactly as you describe, like hang gliders with flares over Pickering, probably north of Taunton Rd. maybe a km or so.

Three loosely flying together, but two of the lights moved toward each other, then after bringing my wife out, she witnessed them and acknowledged they seemed very weird.

Air traffic travels much higher, and the planes and jets that travelled through within the half hour of the sighting all moved with flashing lights, in a steady predictable path.

The 3 lights we saw floated, silently and after racing inside to grab my photo, I jumped into my car and was in a clearing in less than 1 minute, but no sign of them.

Very strange, after calling the police to see if others had reported anything, I contacted the model airplane strip in the area, and they dismissed it, said they didn't really fly at night.

I will be watching, albeit a little nervously at my age there shouldn't be any surprises left to try to explain. Thanks for sharing your sighting.

Orange Vertical Light In The Sky Seen From Edmonton Alberta

I live in Edmonton Alberta and I seen the same thing in the sky, and you couldn't see the moon neither. Weird.

Two Bright Solid Orange Lights Flew Over Galt Cambridge Ontario

Time:  Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Brian Vike, my name is (name removed) and I live in Galt, Cambridge Ontario. I was reading what you had posted on Thursday October 11 2012 about seeing orange lights in the sky.

On Sunday November 25, 2012 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., my brother and I were standing outside when two bright solid orange lights flew directly over my house.

The first light was flying fairly low and at a moderate speed, as the second one seemed to be higher in altitude trailing behind the first light and moving at a slower speed.

The second one almost seemed like it stopped for a few seconds then continued to move. They started to fly further apart from each other and then all of a sudden both lights flew upwards into the clouds disappearing at pretty much the same time.

Both were completely silent, It was pretty quiet outside and both my brother and I could hear no engine noise from either lights.

This sighting lasted maybe 3 to 4 minutes.

This is not the first time seeing an orange light in the sky. Earlier this year in the spring I saw a similar solid orange light flying over downtown Galt, it flew in a straight line for maybe 2 minutes then I lost sight of it.

That sighting was nothing compared to what my brother and I saw last night though, If I only had a video camera on me. It was honestly one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Orange Oval Shaped Light In The Sky Over Stoney Creek Ontario

Date:  November 21, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

On November 21/2012 around 8:30 p.m. I saw a orange oval shaped light in the sky coming towards my location in Stoney Creek ON.

Got my binoculars and saw what appeared to be a glowing oval shaped orange light with a hue of red, green and yellow light coming from the bottom of it. The object was moving slowly then made a sharp turn and faded away.

All this happened within a 2 minute period. This is the second encounter of a strange light in the sky for me this year.
