Brilliant Ball Of Orange/Fiery Light Seen Flying Over Fergus Ontario

Date:  August 17, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

I live in Fergus, Ontario and saw exactly what you described floating overhead at very low altitude.

Everyone on my street was memorized by it. I reported to MUFON and called OPP.

The OPP said they never received any other reports that evening in my district (which I find hard to believe that nobody else saw it and reported). Was glad to see your post as I know I'm not crazy.

My wife and I were sitting on porch and I watched this thing for good 2 minutes before it faded from sight. I had no decent camera accessible, my wife went to get camera, but was very far away at time she got back.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Orange/Red Glowing Lights Spotted Flying Over Calgary Alberta

Date:  October 6, 2012
Time:  Between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Brian, myself, my wife and daughter all observed these lights. There were more than 6.

They appeared to raise from horizon from North (very slowly, all from the same point), then veered off towards West, each at a slightly different angle, dissipating into the dark sky.

The last one glowed bright red, much brighter than others. The entire show took about 20 minute. We are located in Woodlands.

It looked like a burning space junk entering the atmosphere at an angle almost parallel to the Earth surface, which would explain the appearance of “rising from horizon” and slow motion across the sky.

If you have a different explanation, do not hesitate to share it with me. Thanks.

Additional Information:

Brian, the observation point was at 96 Woodpark Close SW, Calgary, AB. Date: October 6, 2012.

Time: Between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and 20 minutes is my estimate for the whole of fireworks, since the beginning to the end.

Each “flare” (for the lack of better term) would last about 3-4 minutes, before disappearing.

When they appeared simultaneously, they would always form a straight line until almost the end, when they would start veering off towards west. At one point three of them formed a triangle.

The flares appeared with intervals, almost equal to their “lifetime”.

Of course, I was not using a stopwatch (or even an ordinary watch, for this matter), so my recollections are subjective.

Bright Orange Light In The Sky Over Leduc Alberta

Date:  October 6, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:15 p.m.

Hi there, last night, Saturday, October 6, 2012, I was driving my sister and my nephew home after our Thanksgiving dinner at about 8:15 p.m.

My nephew, who is 5, asked what the bright orange light was that was just sitting in one spot in the sky.

It looked like it was either coming straight toward us or staying in one spot, then it moved to the east a bit, then it looked like it slowly went back into the sky and then just disappeared.

We thought maybe it disappeared behind some clouds, but there weren't any clouds, we could see all the stars!

Two minutes later when we got to my sister's place, it reappeared, but this time it was closer and moving northeast across the sky very slowly and it was definitely a circle shape.

It was round with one brighter light on the outer edge of the circle that was rotating around. The very centre of the object was dark, so it looked like a donut.

We told my nephew it was probably a hot air balloon to not scare him and sent him inside. Needless to say, we were pretty freaked out.

Orange/Red Light Flying Through The Sky Over North London Ontario

Date:  September 2, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Hi Brian, my boyfriend and I just witnessed a strange orange/red light flying over our neighbourhood in north London this evening. We were out taking our neighbour's dog for a walk when we noticed this singular red/orange light flying over us.

It seemed bright and flickering and looked as though it was moving at the same speed you would see a plane move at. There was also no sound whatsoever coming from it. It seemed to be flying in a direct path, not wavering or descending, then it kind of just flickered out and was gone.

We didn't know what to think of it so just continued on our walk. We were walking around our crescent and just as we were nearing the corner we saw the light again. It seemed to be travelling in the same general direction as the first light but on a different path.

I didn't see this one flicker out like the first light. The second one I watched until I could no longer see it.

Anyways, not sure what it was that we saw but I tried looking up what the lights could be on the internet when I found your contact information.  Maybe you know what it could have possibly been. Thanks.
