Message: Thursday October 6 (approx: 12:00-1:30) I observed a bright red light that appeared to be hovering somewhere above the lakeshore in downtown Toronto, slightly east of the Toronto City Center airport. May have been over the lake. Was approximately 10-15 degrees above the horizon. I was about 2-3 km away from the lakeshore when observing this object.
I was watching for probably 4 or 5 minutes and then it just vanished completely. Not sure what this may have been, would be nice to hear from anyone else that may have seen the same thing.
Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.

Vicinity Of Burke Mountain, Coquitlam B.C. Red & White Lights
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 13, 2005 Time: 21:02 - 21:06
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Unknown, Four Red Lights, One Large White One.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, was sitting at my desk, playing with the computer. Happened to glance over towards Burke Mountain. Noticed large single white strobe light. Didn't pay to much attention as it was right about the flight path of most of the small aircraft which fly through that area. About a minute later I looked over that way again and the light appeared to be in the same spot. I grabbed my binoculars and took a look as it finally struck me as a little unusual. The white strobe light was similar in size to a normal landing light but they don't usually flash on and off. Through the glasses I could see two smaller red lights, positioned one above the other to the left of the white light. I continued to watch it and realized it was very slowly moving towards the North, as I watched it appeared to be rotating around the white light while still maintaining the same flight path. Two more red lights appeared on the right side. All four red lights then formed a perfect square with the Large white light in the centre. All four red lights flashed in unison at about half the speed of the white light.
Object appeared to be flying at about 6000 feet, estimated speed maybe 10 to 20 mph. Object appeared to fly into cloud bank. One thing I noticed was that the white light did not appear to change in brightness or appearance. If it was a landing light it should have disappeared when the object turned. I've seen three planes fly by in the past half hour while typing this and not one of them even came close to resembling that object.
Was kind of surprised you didn't have any reports of strange white lights over Burnaby Mountain. I first noticed the lights last Monday but just assumed it was the city lights reflecting off clouds. On Wednesday I noticed they appeared to be really bright, looked like the full moon showing through the clouds. Took a look with the binoculars, at first didn't see anything other large light behind clouds. Finally noticed four very faint beams of light emanating from various points around Simon Fraser University, they didn't appear to be big enough to be search lights and really faint, possibly some kind of spot lights. I aimed my camera over that way and at first didn't see anything, when I switched it to infra red then the beams became highly visible. I turned it on and left it running in time lapse for about an hour. When I played it back I saw what appeared to be a small plane fly through the same area.
When I zoomed in and played it back one frame at a time, it first appeared to be a single white globe, the second frame it seemed to change its angle as a second globe appeared seemingly attached to the first, on the third frame two black disk type objects appeared and appeared to be attached where the two globes joined. I would swear it was the same weird object I saw a couple of weeks ago. It was flying west to east about the same speed and altitude as a small plane. Approx: 22:00. Even though the black disks look like Mickey Mouse ears, I suspect they are just hitching a ride on the globes, perhaps the globes are some sort of small mother ship.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

South Of St. Thomas, Ontario Two Jetliners & One UFO Metallic Disk
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 6, 2005 Time: 12:10 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: 2 Jetliners 1 UFO metallic Disk.
Hello Brian, at lunch hour I was at home watching TV. I got up to stretch my legs and went to the kitchen where we have a sliding door that goes to a Back Deck. It was a very nice day and the sky was clear.
I noticed two Jetliners that were in the sky cruising at Jetliner alt. (approx. 10,000ft -15,000ft). It's not unusual to see two jetliners in the sky, but these two jetliners were cruising exactly at the same altitude and only a couple hundred feet from each other.
They were heading west and leaving behind two straight fluffy white contrails. The contrails were extremely thick and did not dissolve but extended back as far as I could see. The contrails also were evidence that the two jetliners were flying parallel.
Anyway I thought it was cool to see this and started to call my wife for a look. While calling my wife and keeping my eye on the Jetliners, I noticed that out in front of them (a few hundred feet and the same altitude) there was a shinny disk that was slightly wobbling as it traveled. All of a sudden a very bright light emitted from the front of the disk and faded and then from the back of the disk. The disk was going faster than the Jetliners and the Jetliners seemed to be chasing it.
There was absolutely no exhaust or contrail coming from the disk object. Quickly I tried to get my camera but could not locate it quickly so I grab my binoculars. Taking quick aim I focused the binoculars on the Jetliners and confirmed they were jetliners but as they flew beyond the trees I could not locate the silver disk.
This observation lasted approximately 5 minutes. I am wondering if any jet pilot has filed a sighting or if anybody in the surrounding area has witnessed the same thing.
Now it's not unusual to see two objects close together in the Sky but Three?
Yours truly.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Christina Lake To Castlegar, B.C. Circular Object With Long Triangles
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 8, 2005 Time: Early morning.
Message: Good morning, I just wanted to leave a quick note to let you know that my sister saw (what we believe might be ) the same UFO that someone else reported on the 8th. They were traveling from Christina Lake to Castlegar in the early am. My sister, the passenger, watched a circular object with long triangles coming down from it, but she was looking into the sun. Because of their speed of travel, the object continued to stay almost in front of the sun. The road turned and she lost sight of it. Were there any other sightings that day? I've always known that the area has been busy, I've always thought that they are interested in the dams around here. Take care.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Between Balfour And Nelson, British Columbia Beam Of Light & Red Lights
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 12, 2005 Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.
A family of five, traveling on highway 3A heading south were between Balfour And Nelson, BC when the entire family observed what looked like a single ray of sunlight coming from the cloud cover. (It was dark out) The intense bright white light was lighting up a portion of the Kootenay River and the light seemed very focused on one area. Being a curious, the father stopped the car immediately. The Dad rolled down his window as he figured he would be able to hear some kind of aircraft flying above, but nothing was heard. Also the kids in the back seat were watching the sky above as they all were wondering what was causing this. They said a light could be seen coming from the cloud cover, but it was so bright at the source they could not see anything but the light.
They guess about one and a half minutes went by after they had pulled the car over to the side of the road when the light vanished, or went out. Again looking upwards the family was able to observe a number of red colored lights moving very slowly across the sky, yet still mixed in with the cloud cover. It wasn't long after the red lights disappeared and the event was over.
Being excited with the whole event, it wasn't after it was over did they start to think about what they saw and then were a little shaken up.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Ajax To Pickering, Ontario Stationary Intense White Light
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 15, 2005 Time: 7:10 p.m.
Hi Brian, here's a night-timer. Tonight, Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 7:10 pm, while driving west in Oshawa, witnessed a large, low, stationary intense white light, southwest over Ajax to Pickering. Minutes after arriving home, I got out of the car, for further examination of the bright light. This was no star, due to intensity and appears well below orbit. I watched it for 5 minutes, as it was definitely not natural up there. The clouds were starting to roll in over the area. I would be very curious if the security of Pickering's Nuclear Plant were aware of the intense bright white light. I'm hoping you will receive this report from others, as it did stick out like a sore thumb in the sky. Please let me know if you hear from any other witnesses who are interested to report this sighting.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Burnaby, British Columbia A Blinking Circle Of Lights
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 18, 2005 Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Kingsway and Royal Oak area. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 4 Shape of objects: Blinking circle of lights.
Full Description of event/sighting: While I was walking home, down the busy highway of Kingsway, after picking up a shake at the local Denny's, I saw a circle of blinking lights as I turned into the quiet, residential street that I live on. The street goes downhill towards wooded Oakland drive.
I became aware of the lights mainly because, they would go around in a circle and then briefly join in the middle, and then dart outwards again for another round. A plane even moved silently past the strange configuration of lights.
This kind of a dance of lights, under a layer of cloud, kept following me as I walked downhill. They seemed to pause over the road outside of my home. I was too happy to get inside my home and call it a day. I am still not looking outside.
I have no history of psych disorders , and I could not see any other beams or strobes of light in the sky which could have been a possible source. I am a bit puzzled.
UFOs mean zilch to me and I am not interested. Until tonight I suppose. Perhaps, there will be some logical explanation for this. Thanks
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Oshawa, Ontario Neon Green Colored Orb
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 19, 2005 Time: 9:30 p.m.
Hi Brian, hope you keeping well. Here we go again, as I'm again shaking my head, with "OK", another something. Tonight, Wednesday,October 19, 2005 at 9:30 pm, I arrived in the parking lot of Oshawa's Civic Center facing west. As I'm pulling into parking spot I witnessed a neon green colored, moving orb. The appearance was perfectly round, and maybe smaller than a basketball. There was a green trail behind this object. It came directly down from the sky towards the roof of the bldg., as to hit it. At the last moment, turned above on a right angle and faded out. All this occurred for 3-4 seconds, and about 50 feet above the roof. Once again, this gives confirmation, that they might be monitoring the area. As for what, only they know. Take care.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Terrace, British Columbia Bright Intense Light Parked Itself High Above Witness

Date: October 19, 2005 Time: 20.45 to 21.10
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: 1/2 the full moon size.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I was sitting again on my bench, looking towards nw, when a light appeared in nnw direction. The UFO was very bright, intensive white colour and became darker after approx: 20 seconds, but still visible a beige round object. The object flew directly towards me and " parked" itself almost directly over me. I would estimate the altitude about 1 kilometer. There was no movement or other reaction, like changing it's light intensity or becoming dark. After remaining in this position for 24 minutes the object suddenly became bright again and flew slowly off in the direction it had come from. This time it remained bright for around 50 seconds and changed back to the beige colour before disappearing in the distance. I lost sight of it after around 3 minutes. That's all. while it was above me nothing unusual did occur and the whole situation was kind of odd because usually they do blink or move.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Sudbury, Ontario Unexplained Light In The Sky
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 26, 2005 Time: 5:05 p.m.
Message: Hi, I have recently been witness to an unexplained light in the sky over Sudbury. Wed Oct 26 2005 at 5:05 pm my co-worker and I were returning from a day of field work north of Sudbury. While driving back from work heading south towards Sudbury on hwy 69 north we both noticed a bright concentrated light which seemed to be just below the cloud level. We watched it for a few seconds making jokes that it was a plane planning to make an emergency landing on the road. But the light seem to fade and the it was gone. We were puzzled because we thought that with the light gone we would see a plane which had turned so the landing lights were not facing us, however it just vanished. We talked about it after and thought the lights did seem bright in the still bright sky and the object never moved as we watched the light.
This brought me to your web sight. I was trying to see if anyone had reported seeing something as well. Reading one of the accounts of another sighting in Sudbury the description seems similar. If you have heard any others whom had seen what it was or has an explanation please let me know.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

Surrey/Whalley Area, B.C. Object descend & Slightly Changed Trajectory

Well, I have something to add to the mountain of reports you are still going through.
Tonight after 6 this evening I saw what I thought at first was a single star but I believed was something else. My attention was transfixed on it for quite some time. Like previous occurrences, the object was in the southwest sky. Just above the trees. The event took almost an hour. The object started to descend which wasn't very fast. It slightly changed trajectory during its descent. I lost direct sight of it behind the trees but saw it stop its descent. I had to turn away because I was in the middle of dinner at the time. A few minutes later I couldn't locate the object.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Guelph, Ontario Brilliant Light Travels Straight Up
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 17, 2005 Time: Between 7:00-8:00 pm
Hi Brian, I have a story to pass on to you of a strange sighting, witnessed over the skies of Guelph,Ontario. A fellow, who delivers at my place of work, in Scarborough. As explained to me, of what he had witnessed, at home, in northeastern Guelph. He remembers, it was 3 Monday's ago. That would be Oct.17, 2005, at a time between 7:00-8:00pm. He was outside his townhouse backyard, having a smoke. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a bright white light. As he now focused to the east, of his position, watching this low, flying intense white light. The altitude, between (2-3000 ft.) and speed, like a Cessna.
After about 10 seconds into watching this intense light crossing the sky, at about 1 mile away. This light, instantly elevated, 90 degrees straight up in the sky, at incredible speed. The light also faded, in pace of it's higher altitude, to a pinprick of light. Which than blended in with the stars. The total duration of his sighting, was about 20 seconds. He tells me, he still can't believe what he had seen that night. He later told his wife, in which her response was, "did not" believe his story. He now believes in UFO's, and will now keep a eye to the sky in future. He is very curious to know, if anyone else in his area, had witnessed this sighting. Take care and have a great weekend.
Thank you to the person for relating this sighting to me.

Burke Mountain in Coquitlam A String Of Lights Suddenly Appeared
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 31, 2005 Time: 7:16 p.m.
Hi Brian, hope you have a good trip and really enjoy your experience. Seems like kind of crappy weather to be traveling tho. I was taking video of the fireworks Halloween night and for a short time had my camera aimed over towards Burke Mountain in Coquitlam. At 19:16 a string of lights suddenly appeared at approx. the 1000 ft. mark at the south east end of Burke Mtn. At first I thought they might be fireworks but they just sat there suspended in the air. The bottom light and the third from the bottom started out at approx:. the same brightness but within a second or two the third one dimmed to match the others. This string of lights was there for just over three minutes and just as abruptly as they appeared vanished.
Was looking over there the next morning and there are a number of large High .
Tension towers between here and the Mountain, so just possibly the lights were nearer then they appeared. I attached a little drawing to show you how they appeared on the video on the first frames.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Keremeos, British Columbia Bright Light Makes Unusual Maneuvers
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: October 7, 2005 Time: Varies
Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Like a super bright star.
Full Description of event/sighting: The time was around 8:00 ish, once just north east of Hope B.C. I saw a very bright light over a mountain to our left while driving the Hope Princeton Highway and I wrote it off as a cell tower on mountain. My lady friend and myself saw it, one and a half hours later. It was between Princeton and Keremeos. It was the same thing and it was as if it was following us. It just hung over the mountain ridges as we drove. We took a motel in Keremeos for the night and on my walk, meditation, I saw it in the distance come over the mountains.
The super bright star and I thought it was a 737 jet with its landing lights on, getting ready to land in Penticton which was 30 or 40 miles away. It did some absolutely astounding maneuvers, turns so tight that no jet could do and it messed around for several minutes above me. I called my lady friend from the suite and she confirmed it was the same one we had seen earlier and then it parked in the sky above our heads, at maybe 5000 feet. We sat and watched until we got bored and went to bed. It took several minutes to come over the mountainous horizon and did some maneuvers. I have never seen any plane do that and it parked in the night sky with a halo around it until we went to bed. I really thought it was a West Jet 737 on approach to Penticton Airport until it did the crazy stuff and the park job.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Tottenham Ontario Bright Ball Of Light Hovers Above The Highway
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 1, 2005 Time: 2:20 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Round ball shape.
Full Description of event/sighting: While driving south on Tottenham Road about 3 km south of Hwy 89 we noticed a white ball coming down from the sky just above us. It came down at a fast rate of speed. Just before it hit the ground, it stopped in the middle of the road ahead of or car. It then seemed to move to the right side of the road on the shoulder. It was about 70 feet in front of us. As we got almost to where it was, it just vanished. The sky's were clear and there was no street lights on this part of the road, just darkness. Our speed was about 50 km an hour and the object was easy to see. It seemed bright ,but it was a very soft colour to look at . I mean it did not hurt our eyes. The object was about two and a half feet around very strange.

Oshawa, Ontario Oblong Silvery Colored Object
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 1, 2005 Time: Approx: 9:40 a.m.
Hi Brian, hope all is well and not keeping too, too busy. I have had another daytime sighting, and camera ready for anything unusual, in our skies above. Today, Sept.1, 2005 at approx: 9:40 am, in Oshawa facing east, I have witnessed another unexplained object? The morning here today, was quite fair, with some clarity. I blocked the sun's rays from our house and witnessed a streamline object, that moved like a fish in water. There was a slight glitter to the object, as it moved towards the east and slightly turning north. I'm going to guess the altitude was 500-1000 feet max.
The speed would also be a guess, of between 80-100 MPH. As I viewed this strange object for about 5 seconds, snapped a picture. I have captured a black object, which may will be explained as a Dragon Fly. I will leave this up to you to judge, as it does seem strange. I can confirm that the object seen with the naked eye, was more like a oblong, silvery color, than a darker object photographed. I would say again, there are objects flying above and around us, that defy logic. I will continue to sky watch, and give hope for better pictures down the road.
Take care Brian and keep up the above excellent job! It does seem to be high activity everywhere, as indicated from your website.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

North Surrey, British Columbia Crescent Shaped Object
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 1, 2005 Time: Approx: 11:00 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Crescent Shaped, Like 3/4 moon.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I was sitting at my window this morning eating breakfast. I noticed a small twin engine passenger Jet on approach to YVR as it flew by I noticed it had a pale white crescent shaped object similar in shape to the 3/4 moon, flying about ten to twenty feet behind it. The object was flying just above the rear wings and appeared to be about the same diameter as the width of the wings. The horns on the crescent were facing to the front. Object was kind of a milky white, like it was made out of white translucent quartz.
I first thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but even though I moved my head back and forth the object was still there and was still there when the plane flew out of my line of sight to the west. I heard the Jet but nothing from the object and didn't see any windows, markings or exhaust. Since the jet was on approach it would have been doing about 200 to 250 mph. and was about 2000 ft. give or take a few hundred feet.
I feel rather stupid as my camera is sitting right here beside me and only takes a moment to grab, but I just never thought of it until it was to late. Anyway Brian I hope someone else was looking up this morning and saw it also.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

There is not much more to say. I just looked out my window at about 2250. The reddish object just appeared. When started to descend clear it was landing.or crashing. I am in the Surrey/Whalley area and saw in the southwestern sky.

Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 5, 2005 Time: Approx: 4:00 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 5-7 Shape of objects: Hard to tell, they mostly looked saucer like, except one.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was at home with a friend in my TV room having a drink in the dark, when we heard people outside in my backyard, laughing maybe a party, doesn't matter. I heard the sounds so I went to see if anyone was up in my neighborhood at this late time. As I looked out my back door, over my neighbors 10-11 ft. trees, I saw a massive, and very close, large ball of white light. Possibly with other smaller ones behind it heading really fast on a crash course. I lived beside Pearson airport my whole life, so as the event was first happening and it zoomed by ( very fast ), I thought a plane was crashing somewhere nearby. I even jumped and was ready for some sort of explosion or shaking when it reached ground, but nothing.
After I saw this, I realized no plane has strong super bright, perfect white (like halogen) lights, and it was such a pure light, that even there was no streaks from the light even at that high speed! I saw it hit the ground, it was not a comet or shooting star, and there was no impact. The event shook me and I had to see if maybe I would see anything else in the sky or smoke from a crash, (by the way, it fell somewhere as I was facing east, slightly north, somewhere close to Pearson or Mississauga maybe). Then I noticed in the east sky soon after this, what I thought was a star which suddenly has red dotted lights blinking one after the other. (one white light constant on at top, about 5-? red lights just under on light turning on at a time showing a saucer like shape)
The UFO was just hovering there, very high up in the sky and difficult to see or notice. It even tilted now and then and would disappeared and reappear. I noticed that there was a whole formation of them and a large distance apart but they were all the same type of craft, all doing the same thing. I somehow found one similar craft that appeared to be much closer to my sight than the other. At first it displayed the same characteristics of the other crafts, but because this one was closer, I could swear it was almost cloaked somehow, partially invisible. At one point I shortly saw it, and it seemed to appear like a much larger then when if first appeared. Very hard to explain.
Please email me back I would love to talk to someone about this.

Terrace, British Columbia A Huge Fast Moving White Light
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 05, 2005 Time: 9:05 p.m.
Hi Brian, Huge white one coming straight at you. seen it 2 minutes ago, fairly high, but huge and white, faster speed. Seen from my place. I witnessed this for +- 2 minutes.
The white object was fairly high up, because it did pass high elevation clouds on it's way and I would estimate that the same were at least 5 km high up. What struck me was it's sheer size and I am certain this was not a scouting vehicle. Also the speed was very fast, much faster then the other's. It was very easy to spot due to it's size, 1/2 the full moon and of a round shape. The intensive white color did not change and it disappeared behind the mountains.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vernon, British Columbia Object Brightens And Fly's Across The Sky
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 5,2005 Time: 9:00 p.m.
Hi Brian, I was in your site last night and looking at the videos and reports, pondering when I would see the light globes again. They haven't been here for a while.
I went outside to troll the sky's for movement or flashes when a star rose quickly from behind the hills directly west. It brightened and then slowly flew east or directly in my direction. I figure the speed was slower than a small plane and it's height was approximately under 8,000 ft. It was slow and seemed to just float and it took approximately 1 minute to fly from the lake to mid town where I lost sight of it over my building . It was a single light, bright and did not brighten again after it rose from the lake area.
There was no sound as a small plane would have been heard at that height. The size is difficult to make at night as at the height it was it would be bigger than a small plane. It is a singular light, and when it brightens it increases in size, I guess from the illumination. Take care.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Oshawa, Ontario White Objects Clearly Visible
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 4, 2005 Time: Between 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Hi Brian, a very brilliant, blue clear sky we have today in Oshawa. I would like to report, strange white round objects, very high in our skies. Today, on Sunday, September 4, 2005 from between 11:30am to 2:30pm. I have been witnessing slow, to stopping stationary white roundish objects. I fully understand that white seeds fly quite high, and have size, bigger than a baseball. In my perspective, these higher and larger white objects move in different directions and remain, "not moving" for minutes at a time. I have photographed these, to justify my descriptions, of altitude and brilliance of roundness of these white objects. This first picture I'm sending, is a eye raiser of three perfectly round white objects close together, upper left side of the picture in the rich blue sky. I will continue, after you receive the first picture, to send more. I would say in altitude, these objects are at least 10,000 ft +.
Thank you to the eyewitness for this report.

Chilliwack, British Columbia Reddish Colored Object
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 6, 2005 Time: Around 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Dear Brian, I saw something very similar to this report below the only difference was that the UFO was star like in appearance, was a reddish color. I thought I was looking at Venus but when the UFO rose directly upwards and then into a back half loop I knew it was not an aircraft being an Aircraft Structures Technician and observing aircrafts as a hobby. I observed it on Tuesday September 6th in downtown Chilliwack, BC. Canada around 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Sincerely,
Additional Information:
Q. - Can you tell me what the weather conditions were that evening ?
A. - Clear conditions, we ( Dan and I) were star gazing at the time because it was so clear that night.
Q. - Also, was a trail or tail witnessed following it ?
A. - No
Q. - How long were you able to observe it for ?
A. - 2 minutes total, 10 seconds where it moved up in a straight vertical three to five thousand feet, stopped did a backwards half loop the flew into the direction of Venus.
Q. - Can you give a rough guess as to how fast it traveled, I know this is a tough one, but a rough idea ?
A. - It travelled at the speed of a small prop plane (Cessna) It climbed like a Mig-29 at a faster rate of speed.
Q. - Also, the altitude of the object, as high as a small airplane would fly, or a jet or higher ?
A. - I would say the UFO was at a similar altitude to that of small planes that normally fly around the area. Then it climbed 3 to 5 thousand feet.
Q. - Any sound that you noticed ?
A. - No sound at all.
Q. - In what part of the sky was the UFO located? North, South, East, West? On the horizon or straight overhead or somewhere in between?
A. - It was located in the North-East part of the sky about 10 miles away.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Message: At 10:00pm on Sept.7/2005, I saw an unexplained light in the sky in the direction of the Big Dipper constellation . It was in the appearance of a star, but it moved fast like a satellite. It moved across 1/4 or so of the visible horizon, when it appeared to turn 90 deg. to its left (away from me). From then the light grew fainter, then I observed what I could only describe as a red-shift. It accelerated quickly and disappeared from sight. Through this whole sighting, its path seemed straight, not curved like a satellite. It had no tail like a comet, and its quick change in direction, to me negates a meteor. Its velocity, to me, rules out any kind of air craft.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Waskatenau, Alberta Bright Moving Object
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 7, 2005 Time: Approx: 4:00 a.m.
Wednesday morning about 4:00 o'clock (only a guess) I was looking at a faint star cluster high in the south. From behind it a bright object moved on in a southerly direction. No flashing lights, about the same as a large bright star though not as bright as Mercury. It seemed way to high and fast for a plane.
I've been told that satellites only move from east to west. Is this correct? It was very clear and still, the best look for a long time at the stars.
I'm glad I found your site, for I would like to know how to identify satellites as would one of my grandsons. I'll look forward to your reply.
Additional Information:
Thanks for the quick response. I live in Waskatenau, hemmed in by trees & houses so my view is limited. Could I have been looking at the Andromeda Galaxy?
No, there were no planes about nor any other moving things. I had been scanning the sky for about 5 minutes. I've gone over it in my mind and it was just a slight movement in the cluster that drew my attention to keep looking there. I hadn't noticed anything in the area before that.
Thanks for the excellent web sites, I've passed them on to a couple of grandsons as well. I used to live in the country and knew the sky much better then.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Squamish, B.C. Flashing Light & Strange Noise
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 8, 2005 Time: 1030 to 1055 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Squamish North to end southeast. Number of witnesses: 3 Shape of objects: Lights
Full Description of event/sighting: I was closing the blinds to my sliding door and I saw a strange very white flickering low on the horizon. I at first mistook the "flashes for lightning, as there had been some clouds earlier and the weather report had predicted a shower for the following day. It didn't "feel" like lightning does when I saw it though, I couldn't figure out exactly what until I had watched it for a few minutes. The flashes were too regular, or constant, and there was no thunder, or rumble, or such. That is when I realized that the "train" that I had presumed was passing at that time was still making the same very low to be almost inaudible, but very deep humm-throb noise/vibration, like a large sort of truck was idling nearby or something. I can't quite describe it properly.
The noise and flashes/flickers of this low lying strangeness continued for about 25 minutes as far as I could tell. I watched the movement of it from almost due north , and It stopped suddenly in the middle of a flash, and was gone. It was a few seconds or a minute later I realized the sound had also quite abruptly ceased with no fading out or becoming louder as a car truck or train becomes while approaching passing and departing. I did not tell anyone until My boyfriend who was driving up the highway from Vancouver towards Squamish with another fellow at the time, had witnessed the same lights and while they did not mention the hum, this could be due to the fact they were inside a moving vehicle at the time. They also felt it strange enough to mention, and I was slightly relieved that someone else had seen it and I was not losing my marbles or anything.
I do hope this was helpful in any research/ info you may be doing.

Over Oshawa/Whitby, Ontario Two White Flashes
Posted: January 14, 2008
Date: September 10, 2005 Time: 12:52 a.m.
Hi Brian, your keeping real busy, as indicated by the growing reports on your website. I would like to share a recent account of two bright white flashes seen, in the night sky, over Oshawa/Whitby,Ontario. In the evening, at 12:52am and 12:55am approx, on Saturday, Sept.10, 2005. Two very bright, white flashes were observed. These were round whitish, blue flashes that had a approx.2-3 minute interval, of this repeat performance. The first one seen, was a head shaker, as you question? Did I just see a single bright white pulse in the sky?
To confirm that thought, another flash followed 2-3 minutes later, in the same part of the sky, southwest, very high up. In a noted observation, that it was not jet, not a plane, nor a helicopter. I'm open for a natural explanation, as this night-timer, is a first one I've seen. Could this be a signal for a introduction of contact or monitoring? I remained outside, facing west for another half hour and saw nothing else of these flashes, only a shooting star. These were only seen for a split second, as they did have a definition of roundness. The signature was like a star in colour, only much more brilliant. So again I question to you Brian, have you had similar reports of this type?
Take care, as I will continue to skywatch for the strange.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vernon, British Columbia Strange Noises & Dogs Franticly Barking
Posted: January 14, 2008
HBCC UFO Research Note: I just wanted to point out that alot of UFO sightings have come from Vernon, B.C. and the surrounding area.
Date: September 9, 2005 Time: Between 12:00 am and 1:00 am
Hi Brian, I wanted to report an unidentifiable noise that was over Vernon between those hours. I had been sitting up winding down after work and my porch door was open to the night noises. The noises were loud and different as I listened to dogs franticly barking, the wind was gusty and warm coming from a different direction for Vernon and I heard birds franticly calling. I also heard this beep, beep, beep at a steady high pitch. The noise was coming from above. I could only relate the noise to a metal on metal pitch beeping in the pulse of a vehicle backing up.
So what I want to report is the intensity of the sound and the response of the animals around the neighborhood. I was unable for some reason to go out on the balcony to investigate the noise, I can't explain that either. The noises suddenly stopped and I fell asleep just as suddenly. I never fall asleep that fast. It was a strange night.
Thank you to the person for the report.

North York, Ontario A Large Half Circle Object
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 9, 2005 Time: 0130 hours Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Half circle seemed to be on fire.
Full Description of event/sighting: On that night, I had gone out to my balcony for a cigarette when I noticed a large half circle object on the west side of Toronto (given I live on the eleventh floor, have a good view) and was moving pretty fast. I called my friend and my sister out to take a look. My friend came out and in 3 minutes, the object was slowly fading in the distance. By the time my sister had come out (8 minutes later) the object was completely gone. I explained what I had seen and to shock, she told me that her and her friend have been seeing it almost every night and it would come from the east and travel west pretty high. Then will disappear completely.
At first sight I thought it was the moon, but given the speed it was moving at, there was no way it could be although when I was looking around, I couldn't even see the moon on a clear night. The object was roughly a half circle, color: fire red, at one point it looked as if directly above the Pearson Airport.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

North Of Alliston, Ontario Light Zig Zags Across The Sky
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 13, 2005 Time: Approx: 9:15 p.m.
Not sure if this was a sighting or not. We were outside last night (Sept 13, 2005) at about 9:15 pm. There was a bright light that travelled from the North West sky to the South East sky. At first we figured it must have been a plane, but there were no traditional flashing lights that you normally see on a plane. The other thought was that it was a satellite, but it was much brighter than any I have seen before, plus I've only seen them travel North - South or East - West. Also the light when traveling seemed to have a slight zig zag to it. I would say it took about a minute to travel from when we first spotted it in the NW sky to it disappearing in the SE sky. When it finally disappeared, it turned to an orange color, then was gone.
Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.

Canadian Forces Base Comox, B.C. Unknown Object Observed

UFO or Orb over Canadian Forces Base Comox September 11/2005
At approximately 5:30 PM, I was observing some cloud manipulations in the sky over the military base. My eyes wandered over to a hole which was forming in a set of clouds and noticed a small white-ish object, or the light made it appear white. It certainly looked brighter than the surrounding clouds which themselves were rippled with electromagnetic waves.
At first I figured it was a plane, but it wasn't long before I realized it was spherical in nature and had no wings. It came right out of a hole in the cloud. I quickly grabbed my camera which I had nearby and tried to bring the object into my lens field..but I couldn't see it through the lens. So I pointed the camera in the direction of where I had seen the object and snapped a photo anyway, hoping to catch it.
I then lowered the camera back down and looked for the object with the naked eye but it was no longer visible to me. This entire event unfolded in the span of about 15 seconds. The object had vanished although I didn't see it leave.
I uploaded the photo and spent about a half hour or so attempting to find the object on my computer. I was almost ready to give up and toss the photo into the recycle bin. It's a good thing I didn't because I managed to spot the orb. It was so far away it appeared as a tiny dot in the photo.
I reversed the image and tried solarizing it. The object was easier to make out after that but still not the best so I saturated the contrast a bit and zoomed in...so it isn't very clear, yet you can still make out an unmistakable object. I could see that the object was on the earth-side of the clouds, and would have to be behind the clouds to be a star, moon, satellite, or a planet of any kind.
This seems to me, a lot like the one which was caught on video tape in Port Alberni and ran on the news a few weeks ago just down island from me. It has been suggested that these UFO's or Orbs appear in areas where the woodpecker or HARRP grid are being tuned-up. Apparently these objects sometimes appear at locations of grid intersect. Interestingly, there was a lot of electroscalar magnetic activity going on overhead at the time.
The Comox Valley area is seeing a literal epidemic of chemtrail spraying, magnetic waves and odd shaped clouds. Sometimes I can sit and watch them fiddle and move the clouds around before my very eyes.
I have the photo if you'd like me to send it to you!
Thank you to the witness for the report.
Additional Information:
The object came out of a hole in the clouds, from what appeared to be the east, and it moved toward the west a short distance before slightly slowing down and turning a little bit to the left (northerly). From my vantage point, the object decided to go toward the cloud it was next to. In other words, as soon as it came out of the hole, it went north a bit. That's when I scrambled for my camera which was nearby. I had to stop looking at the object to get the camera. What happened in those few seconds, I don't know for sure, but judging from where it first came out of the hole to where it was located after viewing the image on the computer, it had not gone far during the time I was getting the camera and positioning it to get the shot. I would say it had become almost stationary for a few seconds. The movement seemed fairly straight and normal at first. The object was moving forward, towards my direction, but then slowed and I reiterate that it seemed to saunter a little bit northerly. It wasn't the movement of a plane at all. It was the sudden turn which got my attention in the first place. Something clicked in my mind and I knew it was not a plane.
I couldn't see it when I tried to find it with the camera. So I just pointed the camera in the direction I had seen it and snapped a photo in hopes of inadvertently catching the image. The object appeared almost directly over the military runway which is near the oceans' edge and there was no obvious sound. There were no other aircraft flying in the area that I could hear. I am a very well-tuned aircraft observer due to having lived near the base for 18 years. I can identify planes and jets just by their sound, without even seeing them. There was no sound coming from this object. No sound!
I do not recall there having been much wind, but I could be wrong about that. I don't think it could have been very windy, because I usually take notice of that.
Residual sunlight may have been reflecting off the front of the object because it was late in the afternoon and the sun would have been west of the object at the time. It did appear to have a brightness about it that stood out from the lightness of the clouds. It contrasted very clearly with the naked eye, but the actual photo doesn't do it justice. I didn't see any flashing at all.
I can say that the object did take on an increased brightness after it made its full appearance. It was as if someone had shone some sunlight at it. It could have been the sun shining on it or the increased brightness could also have come from the object itself. I simply can't be sure about that. I can't even be sure if the sun was behind the mountains or not as it would be behind my house and beyond the trees which are all around me. It was broad daylight though.
I don't know of any other witnesses. This is not to say there aren't any others who saw it. There could be. My daughter was just inside the house when it happened. It happened and was over so fast that I was too wrapped up in getting the photo for fear of missing it to have been able to summon my daughter to witness it with me. If I would have taken those precious seconds out to summon her, I would have missed getting the photo. It was gone within seconds. I just knew I had to get a photo. My daughter helped me search the image for the object and was surprised to see it was real.
I would say that the time that lapsed from the moment I saw it come out of the hole in the clouds and the time I turned around to get my camera on the chair was about ten seconds. It took another 10 seconds (maybe) to search again for it so I could take a photo. I immediately realized I couldn't see it and was wasting time looking for it because it was so hard to see in the first place. Rather than waste precious time looking for it again, I decided to just hold the camera up, pointing in the direction I had seen it, and snap the photo. I wasn't hopeful that I had captured anything.
After I snapped the photo I tried to search for it and couldn't find the object again. It was either inside the cloud or gone. I don't know which. There was no activity in the way of planes before or after I saw the object. In fact, it was a relatively slow day for planes.
I saw another objects in the picture to the right of the main object. You can see it if you really strain to look at the original shot. In fact, it almost looks as if there are multiple smaller similarly shaped objects that seem to form an arc shape to the upper right, not far from the main object.
You really have to play with the image to see them. I hope you can see the others in there. I focus on the main one because it was the only thing I saw with my eye. The other smaller ones only show up in the photo and were not readily obvious to me when I was seeing the primary object.
Thank you to the witness for their report.

A tube of light reveals remarkable details of color on close-up examination. The camera's macro optics measure the distance of the event and position it in the same focal range as the grass below. If it were closer to the lens the grass would be completely blurred out of focus. Further away and the shrubs in the background would obscure the passage of light. The signal is robust and contiguous, registering in front of the bushes about 4-5 feet above the ground. A multi-spectrum contrail 6 inches in length extruding from a disc-shaped object travelling at 20 mph (the image was recorded in 1/60 second).

Sechelt, British Columbia Strange Lights
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 15, 2005 Time: 2:30 a.m.
Thursday, the 15th of September, at approximately 2:30 am, from the parking lot at the North side of the hospital in Sechelt, I viewed a light that looked rather strange in the night sky. I called a nurse out to look at it and she described it exactly like I saw it.
The total time the object was observed in the same location was approximately 35 minutes before clouds moved in to obscure it. Two of us witnessed the object, or whatever. The lights strobed between red, yellow, white, green and on rare moments, blue. The lights were never in the same "rotation" which suggests either communication like semaphore or spinning on the object.
Elevation appeared to be very high, making the object very large. From the hospital North parking lot the object was at +-15 degrees in the North East. It appeared to be far enough away to be at a very high elevation, making it exceptionally large to be viewed from my location.
Like I said, two of us watched this light, I until clouds obscured it. Total time is approximately 35 minutes. The object or whatever it was stayed in the same location all this time. At times, I thought I saw smaller objects coming into it and also leaving it at great speed but could not confirm this. Possibly, I just wanted to think that. I don't know. The small objects were so fast I could have imagined them.
There was no way I could see the object in the viewfinder of my camera, even when I moved out of he parking lot lights, so I snapped three pictures in the general direction. One photo caught it, just barely. Seer what you think. It's off to the far right, the first is the original, the second is a gamma enhanced and the third is a close-up of the enhanced.
Not sure what to make of this. It did not move, the lights "strobed" and it looked big and far away. Definitely not a star as the nurse vouched that it was elongated and looked like a large object perpendicular to the ground, and she saw all the colours of light except the blue.
Original looks very dark as I could not see the object through the viewfinder. I aimed in the approximate direction to get he one photo I got, and thankful for it.
Best regards.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Manitoulin Island, Ontario A White Light Traveling Across The Sky
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 15, 2005 Time: Between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m.
Hello there, this is what happened and when. On Thursday September the 15th, I and a friend were sitting around a small fire in my back yard in the west end of the Manitoulin Island in Ontario. The time was between 8:30 and 9:00 pm and I happened to look up and saw a white light going across the sky from west to east and it was moving faster than a normal plane or jet. There were no flashing lights on it anywhere. We observed a jet going over about ten minutes and it was only going about half the speed of the object that we had seen earlier, and all the flashing lights were visible on it. There were only a few stars out at the time so I don't think it could of been a satellite. I have never seen any other light like that go across in that direction or at that speed before.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Between Langford & Victoria, B.C. Object Follows Aircraft
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 22, 2005 Time: 2:30 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Orb
Full Description of event/sighting: I was laying in bed looking at the stars out of the sliding door when I saw an airplane come from behind the trees, and then I noticed a white orb following it. I immediately woke my husband. The plane had typical flashing lights. The orb did not flash and was larger and much brighter than the airplane. Twice it seemed to go a slightly faster than the plane, but seemed to keep pretty much the same distance between the plane and itself. (Much like when you are following a friend on the road because they know the destination location and you don't). We watched it follow the plane until it was out of sight. We look at the sky often as we are astronomy buffs. This was not a weather balloon or a second airplane.
Additional Information:
Hello Brian,
Weather: Clear, no clouds that we could see. No rain, no fog. Estimate of temperature for 2:30 AM was about 10 degrees Celsius. We did step out onto the balcony to get a better view of the object and felt no wind. Just a calm night.
Altitude of airplane: Really hard to say as it was not flying directly over our house. Looked like a normal altitude where we see most planes flying. Sorry but can't answer that question any more honestly than that.
Altitude of object following airplane: Same altitude as plane. The object was about the width of 3-4 baby finger widths behind the airplane.
Where were the airplane and object located? We are located by Goldstream Provincial Park which is about 10 KM Northwest of the city of Victoria. We were looking in the direction of Victoria. We were looking to the South. There is a high tower with a red light on it on the top of a small mountain and it was over this mountain that we saw the object and the airplane. I would guess about 2 baby finger widths above the horizon. I would say that the Airplane and the object were flying in a West to East direction.
Was the object trying to keep pace with the object? Yes, That was our feeling. It seemed to want to keep the same distance between itself and the Airplane.
Describe the area where the sighting took place, airport etc: The closest airport would be the Victoria International Airport which is located near the small city of Sidney BC at the end of the Saanich Peninsula about a 30 minute drive North from Victoria. The plane was not flying towards that airport. We think it was flying towards the United States. Perhaps on its way to Tacoma International Airport (near Seattle, Washington State). The land around the sighting would be partly populated and partly forest. There is a large naval base (Department of National Defence) situated next to the city of Victoria (in Esquimalt). Comox Air and Naval base is a long way from here. We are located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island.
Trail or tail following the object? No just a very bright sphere or orb. The light was white.
Any sound? We stepped out onto the balcony but heard no sound.
We thought that this was indeed an unusual sight and I wish we had more information for you. If anyone else has reported seeing this in our area could you let us know? If you have more questions please feel free to email.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Toronto, Ontario Large Black Craft (UFO)
Posted: January 13, 2008
September 11, 2005 Time: 10:45 p.m.
On Sunday September 11, 2005 and probably at around 10:45 pm I saw a large black craft in the sky. I only noticed because I was looking at some stars. It would have been really difficult to see this thing otherwise. No noticeable noise or lights on the object. blended in with the sky very well.
I was at Bloor/Dufferin on the 14th floor of my east facing apartment. I saw this black object move in an eastwardly direction and then at around Yonge Street or so, it appeared to turn and head towards downtown Toronto, where I lost track of it.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vernon, British Columbia An Orange-Pink Sphere
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 19, 2005 Time: 11:00 p.m.
Night sky, cloudy, breezy.
Hi Brian, Last night I saw two "shooting star's" enter the northwest sky. One star was bright white with a silver trail. It is the one I saw about an hour later that I want to report. The clouds were low to midrange last night and the full moon was behind me enhancing the clouds in the west sky.
Under the low western cloud cover, heading into the west, I saw appear with the trail already behind a orange-pink sphere fully intact with an aura of yellow. This was surrounded with the white light leading to the trail. There was no smoke trail.
The distance from me was with in twenty kilometers, the color of the sphere was like Venus is when it sets, glowing pinks and oranges, and it's size was just a little bigger than Venus has been in the night sky. It's trail was yellow and white. The sphere was whole and intact at the front.
It then disappeared. It's angle of descent was about twenty degrees above the mountains and it was moving toward the ground. It's direction was indirectly toward Kamloops. I have been able to coincide some sightings of shooting stars to the orbs that fly over so I stayed outside last night to watch if any orbs appeared but there was nothing more after the colorful shooting star.
Thank you to the eyewitness for their report.

Vancouver, B.C. (Setting Behind Seymour Mountain) Multi Colored Star?
Posted: January 13, 2008
Date: September 23, 2005 Time: Approx: 4:00 a.m.
Woke up this morning about 4:00 a.m. and noticed the sky was really clear, so decided to set the camera up and leave it running on time lapse. I aimed it to catch that multi coloured star? that moves north over Vancouver and then sets behind Seymour Mountain. It set just as the sky was starting to get a little light but I noticed just before it disappeared that it appeared to come to a halt four times, just for a minute or two each time, at normal speed I probably would not have even noticed but on time lapse it was quite noticeable.
Thank you to the eyewitness for their report.
