Date: September 12, 2007 Time: Evening.
HBCC UFO Note: I goofed up on the location for the sighting, I had written down Whitby, On, but in fact it was Pickering, Ontario. My mistake.
Hi, I was very interested when I heard on the news of a sighting of "something" in Etobicoke. Last Wednesday my husband and I were watching a program on television. We recently moved into the 4th floor of an apartment complex in Whitby, Ontario, and have very large windows, because of this I like to leave the curtains open at night.
I was looking into the sky at the stars and typical nighttime things when I saw two lights, just a typical airplane kind of lights but what caught my attention is that this aircraft was falling straight down at a very fast rate. I thought perhaps this airplane was crashing and told my husband to look, he ran to the window and was amazed, this aircraft was falling straight down, however the lights were facing us as if the aircraft was in flight going straight. After a huge fall downward it started flying straight again, it appeared to be flying directly at our building very quickly and very low. My husband ran to the back of the apartment to get a better view and he saw an aircraft, like nothing we have ever seen before, the best he could describe it was it looked like a piece of scaffolding with many white lights covering it, there were squares which you could actually see through the aircraft. We do not know what it was we saw that night, and have not mentioned it to anyone. When we looked up your sighting and saw your story we thought this might be of interest to you.

Outside Of Beausejour, Manitoba Orb That Was Stationary Then Descends

Date: September 19, 2007 Time: 11:30 p.m.
Approach_Direction: Downward. Departure_Direction: None. Witness_Direction: West.
Description: Roughly 11:30 pm, my girlfriend and I were driving home on the highway. I noticed a bright light in the sky, an orange orb that was stationary. It was too bright to be a star but could not be a plane, as it didn't move. I noticed two other vehicles parked along the highway gazing at the object as well. We continued on, and shortly thereafter The object descended downward towards the ground and disappeared in the tree-line. I would have pursued, but my girlfriend was frightened and wouldn't have it, I estimate it's position of landing to be nearby Birds Hill Park. (assuming it did in fact land)
I've absolutely no doubt this was a UFO in our atmosphere that quite likely touched down.
Color/Shape: Bright Orange, White-ish at the brightest area. Spherical, but it was quite fluorescent, like a star, so I cannot inform of any actual shape.
Height & Speed: Probably no more then three or four KM from the ground, It descended (in my very rough estimation) from that height to the ground in no more then four or five seconds.
TV/Radio/Press: I've yet to hear any other related information.

Location of Sighting: Winnipeg Manitoba, Linden woods. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle.
Full Description of event/sighting: At 9:30 I arrived home, and found myself locked out until 11:00 pm. I decided to relax on a chair, and just wait for someone with a key to show up. At around 10:00-is p.m., I realized the back door may be open, so I decided to go check it. As I was walking down the walk way, I happened to glance at the sky (it was an extremely clear night out) and at that time I saw three lights, forming a perfect equal lateral triangle moving silently north. Never once changing distance from each other. I could clearly see many stars, and these lights were many times bigger then any stars, yet slightly dimmer. As the object moved north, it passed out of view over a house, and I ran into the street so as to see beyond the house. When I got there, the object was gone. It seemed to be moving at a fairly decent speed, nothing too fast, but at a very equal speed, and looked many times larger then any plane I've ever heard of.

Sidney, British Columbia Object Appeared To Be Flaming

Date: September 9, 2007 Time: 9:17 p.m.
Location of Sighting: North sky heading south east then turned east. Number of witnesses: 4 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Round.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was on sundeck with a neighbor looking up to the sky (north) when I saw a ball that looked like it was flaming. It was heading southeast. My neighbor and I then called our wives to come out and see this object in the sky. There wasn't any noise. The object then turned and headed east and disappeared. The sighting lasted 2-3 minutes. A few minutes later another object that looked the same as the first appeared heading in almost the same direction. It to then turned to head east then disappeared. This lasted another 2-3 minutes.

Sidney, British Columbia Objects Looked Like A Bubble Of Fire

Location of Sighting: From Sidney looking North. Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Roundish orange (fire).
Full Description of event/sighting: We saw what appeared to be a "bubble of fire" from a deck at the back of the house, slowly climbing into the sky and veering to the left and eventually disappearing as it traveled east. We saw two, one at 9:17pm, and a second at 9:22pm. They took identical paths.

Etobicoke, Ontario A White Or Silver Sphere (Photo)

Date: September 8, 2007 Time: Approx: 4:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Etobicoke, ON. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Sphere.
Full Description of event/sighting: The photo was taken on Saturday, September 8th, at around 4:00pm, my wife and I had just sat down on a bench beside a parking lot in a shopping mall, when my eye caught a glint of a white or silver sphere moving from roughly north to south, in Etobicoke, (Toronto) ON, heading towards Lake Ontario.
When I had first spotted the object it was at a relatively low altitude, 1000 feet, perhaps 1km away from me, moving at a speed of perhaps 100km/h. It left no trail, and made no sound. My wife and I observed it for approx. 4 minutes in total. As it continued southward it slowly gained in altitude. I took several pictures with my cell phone that did not turn out, but my wife managed to take two photos that did turn out.
In the photos can be seen a bright sphere. It also seems to be casting a shadow on the clouds. The sun was roughly at out back at this time, we were facing east or south east while watching this object that eventually went out of view. I really regret not having our big camera with us that day.
This was also reported and the better of the two photos forwarded to UFOCasebook.
Additional Information:
Here's the best of the two shots. The second one was taken as it was going further out of view. I haven't blown up the area, but it's close to the centre of the photo.
It seems to cast a shadow on the clouds too. For a while I kept expecting to see wings flap or something, but no, it was just moving along, not influenced by the wind or anything. I don't know what else to say, it was just not a typical thing to see. Thanks & Regards.

Burlington, Ontario A White Object Which Looked Like A Beam Of Light

I was driving West on Dundas last night around 5:00 p.m. when I looked in the sky and saw what looked like a comet. It was moving in a straight line then it looked like it turned. I thought it was a plane but it was flying downward not horizontal like a plane. As we drove further the comet was getting smaller it seemed or just moving away.
It was white and looked like a beam of light.
Additional Information:
It was about 530pm it was light outside. Nothing shiny, just a white light. To me honest the only thing I can think of it looking like was sperm! LOL it was a tail which made me believe it was a comet and had a tail behind it. I saw it for a while actually until I had to turn off the road. Id say maybe 5-10minutes. It was white, no sudden movements, was traveling slow ( in my view anyways). Kind of like dropping out of the sky. Almost like a missile. That's what I thought at first, but then thought it wasn't moving that fast so maybe a meteor or a comet. I hope this helps.

LOL it was a tail which made me believe it was a comet and had a tail behind it. I saw it for a while actually until I had to turn off the road. Id say maybe 5-10minutes. It was white, no sudden movements, was traveling slow ( in my view anyways). Kind of like dropping out of the sky. Almost like a missile. That's what I thought at first, but then thought it wasn't moving that fast so maybe a meteor or a comet. I hope this helps.

Armstrong, Manitoba Bizarre Object Moves Erratically

Location of Sighting: Armstrong, MB. Number of witnesses: 6 Number of objects: 4 Shape of objects: Circles.
Full Description of event/sighting: My friends and I were having a bonfire outside. The sky was super clear and all the stars were very visible, and like usual I would gaze out into the stars, staring at the big dipper. Then I noticed something weird. Just over to the west I saw a blinking light, at which I was sure was a satellite. Then it stopped and slowly went east, then as fast as I could see, it shot downwards to the S/W just over the Skylake pig barns. It must have been at least 50 feet off the ground, just over the tree-line. My friends saw me staring and they saw it too. We all ran into the house to tell my parents but my Aunty came outside instead, at first she didn't believe it. But then now everyone was outside, the light slowly moved up and down then side to side and changing colors. The colors I've never even seen before. But the weird thing was on both sides of the sky we saw 4 blinking lights headed towards the object. All of a sudden the light vanished, but appeared just over the field in the back yard and then shot up. The blinking lights also vanished also.

Headingley, Manitoba Disc Shaped UFO Gives Off A Humming Sound

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving back home from work and I was tired. So I stopped and got out of my car and walked around. No one was in sight, but yet I heard a weird humming noise. It got louder and louder, but I couldn't see anything. I tried to use my cell phone but it wouldn't work. I had reception, but it still didn't work. A light from the north caught my eye. I turned around and saw a floating disc type thing landing a couple hundred yards away. I was scared, I froze and ran back into my car and drove the opposite direction. As soon as I made it a couple feet a loud crack was heard from out side, and as I looked in my rear view mirror I seen the object float up and then shoot across the sky and vanish.

Midland, Ontario Blue And White Lights In A Perfect Triangular Formation

Location of Sighting: Balm Beach Rd E Midland, ON. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle.
Full Description of event/sighting: September 17th 2007 at 9:00pm I was driving on Balm Beach Rd E just entering Midland, ON with my mother and we saw a blue and white lights in the sky. I said "that is a really low flying plane", which is odd since there are no airports near by. It looked like it was going to crash. It was coming down at quite a rapid speed and covering quite a bit of distance. We were roughly 100 feet or so from a wooded area on the right hand side, when all of a sudden it came down and stopped dead above the trees. The lights were in a perfect triangle, they were now green and white colored lights. I was trying to look at it and pay attention to the road, but my mother said one of the lights was red as well. It just hovered there with no sound. I wasn't going to stop and look, so I kept driving and it stayed there while we were on the hill and going around the bend. After that we couldn't see it anymore. We looked for it on the way home a few hours later, but there was nothing at all.

Sussex, New Brunswick Unknown Orange Light Falls Straight Downward

Date: August 12, 2007 Time: 11:47 p.m.
Approach Direction: Straight Down. Departure Direction: West. Witness Direction: North.
Description: I was in my backyard having a smoke. It was very cloudy but I could see one glowing orange light through the clouds, I assumed it was Venus but it seemed too bright. Two minutes later almost every cloud in the sky had moved out or dissipated which seemed strange enough that I had noticed it. With all the clouds gone, I could see the orange light outshine all the other stars now, It appeared to be moving as if it was trying to hold it's position in the sky, looping in small circles, you would not notice unless you were focusing right on it. It was about 30 Degrees west of the Big Dipper. As I was looking at this strange object, I thought to myself if their was an alien presence scouting earth I wonder if they would camouflage to be just another star in the sky.
The nanosecond that thought was completed, the orange object began falling straight down in the sky very fast, leaving 2 glowing light trails behind , then it stopped for 5 seconds moved right then back left, then moved left and back right. It then moved in several triangular movements very rapidly,this lasted 20 seconds, stopped for another 5 seconds and moved very fast down and to the west, when it did this it dropped below the tree line in my yard, I ran to where I could get a better view, I managed to get a clear view again and as I was looking right at it, it faded away. Bizarre...I just want to say I have been observing the night sky constellations for 20 years and have seen some weird things but nothing like this.
Color/Shape: It looked like an glowing orange star.
Height & Speed: Initially it was at about 70 Degrees, if you were looking through a sexton, then dropped to about 45 Degrees, then to about 25. It was definitely moving faster than 9.8m/s2. It looked like it moved about 20 miles straight down in less than 2 seconds. Faster than a meteor.

Vancouver, British Columbia Area - Strange Aura Around Jet Airliner (Graphic)

Date: Early September 2007 Time: Daytime.
Hi Brian, About two weeks ago I was sitting on my deck just after sunset watching the planes when I noticed a large two engine Passenger Jet on approach to YVR. What was unusual was the aura around the plane it looked just like a typical saucer shaped UFO with the plane flying along inside it. I at first thought it must be catching rays from the sun which had just set below the horizon. But that should have only lasted a few moments as the plane moved. This stayed constant. I grabbed my binoculars for a better look and continued to watch until it finally dropped below the trees and I could no longer see it. The saucer shaped halo or what ever remained constant. I've been outside watching almost everyday about the same time and not seen anything even close. I see the odd flash as the planes make their turns to line up with the runway but I've never seen that sort of aura. I tried drawing with Paint what I saw and it does look quite similar, See attachment.

Peterborough, Ontario UFO Causes Witnesses Hair To React On Her Arm

Date: September 19, 2007 Time: Approx: 3:00 a.m.
Approach Direction: In the east. Departure Direction: Towards the west. Witness Direction: The east.
Description: I was woke up by a sound and light. I went to check it out and that's when I saw the light or object. It felt like an electric current mild causing the hair on my arms to react. I called my daughter to witness this.
Color/Shape: Not like a solid shape. It was flashing red and blue, but mostly white and very bright like an energy ball or lighting.
Height & Speed: Not sure, as it was just hovering but it left quickly no noise just headed west but then it was just gone.
TV/Radio/Press: Not sure, as I did not report it.

Hello Brian
Below I added the information requested and attempted to draw what we saw though it is not the greatest. Just to give some back ground info. My parents and I viewed UFOs many years ago and (name removed) used to visit my family. I have not had any experience with UFO sightings since that time and it's been over 39 years until recently. Any insight or information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have recently thought of applying under the Freedom of Information act since the recent sightings though I am not sure if it would be useful. Is there a local contact person who is involved with UFO sightings? Thanks.
A couple question for you if you would be kind enough to answer for us.
Q. - What was the date of the sighting. The only thing given was the time, which was approx: 3:00 a.m. Very important to have the date.
A. - It was on Wednesday September 19 2007 and ongoing now for the last few days at the same time. It woke my daughter and I up. We had some guests on the weekend and the one person was woke up around the same time we woke this was on the Friday Sept 21 2007.
Q. - Roughly how close was the object to your location, or away from you at the time of the sighting ?
A. - Perhaps less than a mile? Just across the river at first but came closer to our house.
Q. - How long were you able to see this for ?
A. - I think that we viewed it for about 15- 20 minutes.
Q. - Can you please tell me where the colored light was emanating from on this object, or was the colored light moving throughout it ?
A. - The colors blue and red are part of this object that appeared to be round like a lightening ball at least that's how best I can describe it.
Q. - Roughly, what would you estimate the altitude of the object was when you were observing it ?
A. - Tree top level.
Q. - What were the weather conditions at the time of the event ?
A. - It was fairly clear but some light pollution.
Q. - When the object left, did it leave a trail or some type of tail behind as it moved ?
A. - Nothing.

Approach Direction: In the east. Departure Direction: Towards the west. Witness Direction: The east.
Description: I was woke up by a sound and light. I went to check it out and that's when I saw the light or object. It felt like an electric current mild causing the hair on my arms to react. I called my daughter to witness this.
Color/Shape: Not like a solid shape. It was flashing red and blue, but mostly white and very bright like an energy ball or lighting.
Height & Speed: Not sure, as it was just hovering but it left quickly no noise just headed west but then it was just gone.
TV/Radio/Press: Not sure, as I did not report it.

Hello Brian
Below I added the information requested and attempted to draw what we saw though it is not the greatest. Just to give some back ground info. My parents and I viewed UFOs many years ago and (name removed) used to visit my family. I have not had any experience with UFO sightings since that time and it's been over 39 years until recently. Any insight or information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have recently thought of applying under the Freedom of Information act since the recent sightings though I am not sure if it would be useful. Is there a local contact person who is involved with UFO sightings? Thanks.
A couple question for you if you would be kind enough to answer for us.
Q. - What was the date of the sighting. The only thing given was the time, which was approx: 3:00 a.m. Very important to have the date.
A. - It was on Wednesday September 19 2007 and ongoing now for the last few days at the same time. It woke my daughter and I up. We had some guests on the weekend and the one person was woke up around the same time we woke this was on the Friday Sept 21 2007.
Q. - Roughly how close was the object to your location, or away from you at the time of the sighting ?
A. - Perhaps less than a mile? Just across the river at first but came closer to our house.
Q. - How long were you able to see this for ?
A. - I think that we viewed it for about 15- 20 minutes.
Q. - Can you please tell me where the colored light was emanating from on this object, or was the colored light moving throughout it ?
A. - The colors blue and red are part of this object that appeared to be round like a lightening ball at least that's how best I can describe it.
Q. - Roughly, what would you estimate the altitude of the object was when you were observing it ?
A. - Tree top level.
Q. - What were the weather conditions at the time of the event ?
A. - It was fairly clear but some light pollution.
Q. - When the object left, did it leave a trail or some type of tail behind as it moved ?
A. - Nothing.

St. John, Newfoundland Unknown Lights In The Sky

At 12:40am on Monday, September 24th, I stepped outside for a quick smoke and gazed up at the nearly full moon in the southern sky. The clouds were big and fluffy and low, but the night sky and stars were clearly visible in the large gaps between clouds. Shortly after stepping outside I saw two sets of flashing lights moving from west to east in the sky. I have no idea how high they were, but they seemed lower than most air traffic I see at night and were certainly not satellites. I heard no noise.
As they came overhead, I noticed that it was not a single light but rather a set of lights in tight proximity. There were 3 white lights and 1 red light in one set, and 1 white light and a red light in the other. I recall focusing almost entirely on the larger trailing set of lights because I could see it more clearly. My memory of the second set is hampered by this lopsided concentration, so they may have in fact been identical.
The 3 white lights were blinking one at a time in quick succession followed by the red light. The three white lights glowed dimly when not brightly flashing. Neither "broke pattern" or performed any maneuvers, rather they flew linearly and at a constant speed.
The lights took about 1 minute from when they first became visible to when they passed too far west to see. I live near an airport so I am familiar with how most aircraft appear in the sky, these were certainly unfamiliar to me in terms of flash pattern and brightness.
This is not the first time I have seen strange lights in the night sky. I was arriving home from a friend's house one night last month when I saw a bright whitish orange light flanked by two flashing red lights. It was completely still and silent in the night sky to the west of my house. The white light was about 1/4 the size of a full moon and the two red lights were quite small.
It was close enough so that if it was a helicopter I would have heard it. I watched the lights for about a minute before the central light suddenly got much brighter (full moon-esque) and then disappeared, as it appeared to move straight down from my vantage point (I lost track of it as it went behind a neighbor's house).
I did not witness any of the above lights perform any maneuvers which would seem impossible from a technological point of view, but the odd pattern of flashing, brightness, and silent motion lead me to wonder what exactly I saw. I am open to all convincing explanations.

Full Description of event/sighting: I lived across from Morice Mountain in Houston for many years. We saw many strange things in the area at night and day. We obtained footage on our video camera of some but often we were unable to view it later on with others, even though my husband and I both witnessed it immediately after taping. We lived on the Buck Flats road and the north side of Morice mountain and the ridge behind us seemed to be an area of a lot of activity.

Qualicum, British Columbia A Bright White Object

Date: September 22/23, 2007 Time: Evening. ?
Has anyone else viewed a bright white object in Qualicum this past weekend? (Sept. 22/23 07) This was far brighter than the largest planet, certainly not a satellite or aircraft, ( I work on aircraft and am not mistaken) and unlike anything I've ever saw. It constantly flashed like 2 or 3 bright white strobe lights and was larger than a dime at arms reach, and moved very, very slowly from right to left, then slowly dropped in altitude until I lost sight of it behind trees. I saw it for about 3 minutes, long enough to get my son and girlfriend out of bed to look at it.

Alberta UFO Sightings And Graphics

HBCC UFO Research Note: The letter below is from a witness who has seen some really interesting things and they supplied nice graphics to go with them. There were the original reports on my website, but when things were packed up back on October 20, 2006 all the reports were packed up and placed away in a spare room. I have not got into all the boxes to dig everything out and add to the site which I better start doing pretty soon. But anyway, below is the witnesses report along with graphic.
Brian, This is (name removed) from Alberta. These drawings go with the reports I sent you about two years ago. I don’t know if you still have them somewhere in your archives. These are just roughly done to give an idea of what sightings looked like to other family members and myself. I’m slowly figuring out how to use the drawing tool in my computer.
A pillar of fire. This object was hanging in mid-air for quite awhile. Seen by my parent’s, my siblings and myself in early seventies late one summer night. As I recall it was still hanging there when we all went into the house. The distance from out home and the object is about a 1 mile at our local airstrip or airport. It’s no longer in use. Back then the trees were no so tall which made the sky look bigger. And back then our community didn’t have electricity so it was very strange to see something like this. It was pretty big.
A UFO seen by my dad in the mid seventies in his trap-line. This was a daytime sighting. He said he heard a humming sound coming from the machine. A bright blue light was flashing on top. He had his hunting dog with him at the time and he told us that the dog was scared and stayed behind him growling but not really loud.
A rough drawing of what I saw back in 1982 around 11:00 or 11:30pm late one night. It may have been July or August maybe even Sept. There was no snow on the ground yet anyway and it was dark. This sighting took place almost exactly between the two communities of Cadotte Lake and Little Buffalo. If you removed the blue part on the front of the drawing and turned it a pale yellow, it would be pretty close to the colours it had when I saw it. The funny thing about it is my husband doesn’t remember seeing it or me yelling at him to stop so I can get out of the truck to watch it. To this day he doesn’t. I swear I saw it and I’ll never forget it.

Peterborough, Ontario Object Long And Stream Lined

Hi Brian, I wanted to pass on a story of a recent sighting in Peterborough,Ontario. This fellow told me last week, on a either Tues.-Sept 18, or Wed- Sept.19, 2007 after 9:00pm. This sighting occurred on Hwy.115 (near a bridge), while driving and also had a passenger witness. He described the object as quite long-streamline, white in color-though not bright. This object appeared, as if on a angle in the sky. He described it like in appearance like a long chemtrail, not moving and quite high. I asked him if there were other cars on the road? There were a few cars and agrees that other people must have witnessed this thing. It was in his face in the direction he was driving straight ahead. What caught my attention on this, was the timing of date and location. This might tie into the sighting reported to you recently, from Peterborough, Ontario, near or on the same date-- Sept.19, 2007 in the wee hours of the morning. I'll leave this report exclusively with you. We chatted in the sauna, this would be his second sighting in 10 months. No doubt, this is indeed spreading around here and adding more witnesses. I also wanted to add, that a fellow at a busy Gas Station, of whom I've shared with in viewing my pictures. Told me, that about nine different Cab Drivers have witnessed strange objects in the night sky, all over the Durham Region. Again stuff is being witnessed by others. West Of Winnipeg, Manitoba Three Small Circles Of Bright White Light

Location of Sighting: West of Winnipeg Manitoba. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Circles.
Full Description of event/sighting: As I was driving west down Portage Ave. in Winnipeg on September 25, 2007,approx. 7:30 pm. The sky was cloud covered. I looked up to the sky and saw directly in front of my view three small circles of bright white light. They appeared to be larger then a pencil eraser head but not bigger than a dime. They were perfectly formed circles of white light. The three circles were all in a row with about (in my view) and inch apart. These circles were in a row but pointing downwards on an angle one lower then the next, but with the same space in between each one. They did not move, they remained in the same spot for approx. 15 minutes before they disappeared. I had them in my sight the entire time I was driving. When I noticed these lights I pointed them out to the passenger beside me and they saw them perfectly clear. They were bright and very visible to the naked eye.After 15 minutes or so they just disappeared. The sky was still cloud covered the entire time.They were very bright and very noticeable.

Vernon, British Columbia An Amber Colored Oval Shaped Object

On the mountain line south of Vernon (over Kalamalka Lake, at the edge of the upper plateau) , a large blondish/amber colored oval shaped object just sat slightly obscured behind the mountain top. It was at least as long as my thumb is wide, at arms length. That mountaintop is at least 15km away. This object was huge. It appeared blurry, almost hard to look at; hard to focus on. It was quite easily the brightest thing in the sky at the time. I radioed the front desk clerk that something was in the southern sky, and he gave a very uninterested response. I watched the object for 10 minutes before I had to do a hall check. It never moved position once. On my way past the front desk clerk I told him again that there was an object up on the hill. He didn't even look up from his computer game. After the hall check (5min) I went back outside and the object was gone.
