Object Looked Like The Sun And Seen Over Campbell's Hill Midland Ontario

Date:  Somewhere around Winter 2009 ?
Time:  Midday.

It was years ago me and my friend were snowboarding at Campbell's Hill in Midland, Ontario beside the rec center. I got to the bottom, turned around to go up the hill again and noticed what looked like 2 suns.

One was actually the sun the other moved very smoothly and slowly over head turning slightly and hovered above for about 2 minutes after taking 5-10 minutes to slowly cross the sky.

It was years ago, but me and my friend can remember it like it just happened.

Also around the same time of year I also seen strange lights in a few different colors spinning around something they seem to come down in a farmers field near balm beach in the concessions.

I watched it fly away as I drove my car closer to the area where it appeared to hover.

I remember seeing a big light on a farmers barn blink as the lights got closer then became fine again as the lights got further away.

The lights appeared to have one light shining straight towards the ground, but because the other light were so intense in the night sky it was hard to tell whether or not there actually was.

Wobbling Star Like Object Over Crescent Beach Nova Scotia

Date:  Late July 2010
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Looked identical to a star.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This is the 3rd odd sighting I seen the Summer of 2010 in the same general area. Me and a bunch of friends were at the beach and had made a fire. I was over by my car with a friend while he was getting something.

I was looking up at the sky as it was a very clear night. I then noticed that one of the stars seemed to be slightly moving. After watching it a few more seconds, I realized that indeed what looked like a star, was wobbling around in no general direction, but kind of all around in a small general area.

It was moving around somewhat slow. I told my buddy to look up and tried pointing it out, and by the time he was able to locate it, it had stopped wobbling around and was now moving upwards in a straight, more faster speed, until it faded out of sight.

Jellyfish Like Object Seen Over Parson British Columbia

Date: September 24 and 26, 2011
Time: 7:30 and 6:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Jellyfish like and round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking for the Elenin comet and saw a bright light moving up the horizon in the s/se direction and then it stopped about 50 degrees in the sky. I went outside and using my binoculars, I observed it for several minutes before it faded from sight with the sun rise.

It looked like a jellyfish with a white round center, opaque middle and dots around the outside ring. You could see slight movement so I thought it was the comet coming straight at me as there was no tail.

Two days later at 6:30 am I was sitting in my sunroom and noticed two bright lights. One I assume was Jupiter and the other I assumed was the comet. I went outside with my binoculars and couldn't get a good image of the object, and then it started moving!

It moved quickly across the sky and disappeared over the mountains behind me (east). It was very bright and had no flashing lights and no sound. I'm puzzled. I found out afterwards that I probably can't see Elenin from my location yet.

Star Like Light And Shooting Stars Observed West Of London Ontario

Date: March 25, 2011
Time: 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Spherical.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Last night, the 25th, I was the only witness to similar events from about 10:00 pm, and here I confess that I was glued to the view of the southwestern sky as I darted in and out, until about 2:00am. Oddly enough, this light didn't move across the sky in a star like fashion, but pretty much remained low in the same spot in the sky.

I also saw what I think were two shooting stars to the left or rather south and then to the west of the light. I don't know if these events are related as they appeared to be quite normal looking shooting stars in that they shot downward at a believable angle, and not straight up from the ground as I have observed a few times over the Komoka Provincial Park.

I hope this might be of interest to yourself and perhaps prove to be reassuring to the person who had the sighting over Delaware on the 7th of March. Thank you for your time and consideration and all the best to you and yours.

The top "star" got very bright, then dimmed and then the bottom "star" did the same. Both brightened to a very strong white light. Just before the jet reached there position, the top one blinked out and then the bottom one. WX at the time is clear many stars visible No wind, Temp.- 3 C and the length of time was 2 minutes.

7 Red Star Like Objects Over Niagara Falls Ontario Canada

Date: January 21, 2011
Time: 11:45 p.m.

Hi, this is weird to me, but my wife and I were just outside at 11:45 pm having a smoke when we seen 7 red star like things in the air. There was no sound and they didn’t seem like planes because they were kind of close a few of them.

I came in the house to look it up, as to what just came over Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada with 7 red lights and you popped up. I was so glad to hear someone else seen this, let me know if you find out what it is. I might call the local airport when I am done typing. Thanks.

Comet Like Objects Over A County Road West Of London Ontario

Date: October 17, 2010
Time: 6:40 p.m. - 7:10 p.m.

Location of Sighting: West of London Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 7
Shape of Objects: Comet like.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi Brian, driving along the county road West of London I noticed 2 comets that were traveling straight 'up' in the sky. The sun was setting and I pulled over behind a guy and his wife, who as it turns out were watching the same thing. The sunset was spectacular and we joked that it was hard to decide whether to take our eyes off these objects in the sky or to look at the sun.

The objects path eventually crossed each other, but there was no trail if you know what I mean. They were in the west, slightly further west than the sun. While we chatted and watched the sky, we counted 5 more appearing in different parts of the sky around the original 2. Two were flying or falling down towards the earth, and 1 from the south was shooting up, and another from the north.

Only one stopped as it faded very low in the sky and we commented that it looked like a tiny sun just sitting there to the right of the sun. The sun was a beautiful red as it set, this other faded comet was a mere dot of a very pale orange.

All of the other comets just disappeared with no trails to indicate where they had been traveling.

In between traffic we listened for any sounds that might indicate air craft engines and we could hear nothing, even as 2 flew or descended over our heads. So this wasn't far away, it was the sky immediately over where we stood and directly west of us.

At all times these little comets or commas had the same little tails or short tadpole like trails, rounded at front, thicker and tapering off.

We waited around a bit as it began to get dark thinking we might get lucky to see what they looked like at night, or if something similar would show up but nothing. We noticed a fair amount of cars slowed down traveling west, but no one else stopped. These were very visible through the windshield as I drove and saw the one without craning to look, and quite spectacular.

That's about it, maybe someone has an idea about these comet/commas? Thank you for you time, once again.

Bright Star Like Object Over Beaumont Alberta

Date: September 23, 2010
Time: 8:17 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Beaumont Alberta.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: As my boyfriend and I drove back to Beaumont (from Edmonton) we approached Beaumont as we neared town I noticed off to the left of the vehicle (where the north star usually is, this is what we thought it was) a very bright "star-like" object and we thought it was the North Star, but, I thought it was way brighter than usual so I kept staring at it.

The "star" appeared to be not that far from the ground, but high enough in the sky for onlookers to think it was a star. We pulled into Tim Horton's to get a late in the day coffee and as we were leaving we looked up to see that this "star" was gone. It left a very unsettling feeling in me and I want to know if anyone else saw it?

Description: "star like" almost orange, bright, round in shape.

UFO Appears Like Stars Over Haliburton Ontario

Date: July 18, 2010
Time: Approx: 1:00 - 1:30 a.m.

Hi there. I read the sighting. Here is mine. I was cottaging in Haliburton and my son had a group of friends around the campfire. The lake was very quiet. I went out to check on things around 1:00 - 1:30 a.m. As I walked back to the cottage, a flash in the sky caught my eye. It was a very clear night.

There was a grouping of stars which began to brighten and became very, very intense in brightness. This lasted for a couple of seconds and then the entire grouping of stars started to dim to the point that you could not see them.

After about 5 seconds, the same grouping of stars once again became very, very bright, then dimmed again to the point you could not see them. This grouping of stars also moved a fair distance in the approximate 10 minutes that we all stood and watched them. It was very strange. There was no noise.

It crossed my mind that perhaps it was some type of UFO framed by star type lights. This would have been a very large UFO if it was. I mentioned to my son and his friends that if anything strange happened to get into the cottage. It was just a very, very strange group of stars.

I peeked out throughout the night to see whether they were still around, but my I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

I too was curious if anyone else had witnessed this so I Googled strange star sightings for July 18, 2010 and there was a couple on an Alberta UFO site that saw exactly what we saw and the description of the sighting was what we all saw. The sighting in Alberta was at 1:00 a.m. on July 18th.

I had an uneasy feeling. My son said it was probably a satellite and therefore I didn't pay too much more attention to it.

Star Like UFOs Zip Around The Sky Over Komoka Ontario

Date: July 6, 2010
Time: 11:30 p.m.

Hi everyone, this is in response to, or in addition to the London, Ontario sighting of 10 lights in formation the night of July 5, 2010.

Last night, July 6th-2010, at approximately 23:30 hrs, I watched the western sky from my porch for about 20 minutes. I'm west of London in a rural area. The sky was clear as a bell, stars etc. I was enjoying what I thought were twinkling stars, when quite suddenly three or so 'stars' began to zip and twinkle brighter than the rest.

At first I thought I was seeing aircraft, but that didn't seem reasonable due to the number and the random pattern of flight or bobbing. Whatever it was, or whatever they were, looked no different than stars until they began to flash orange and red quite a bit brighter than the stars around them.

As I watched them move in a northeasterly direction above and toward London, and my house, I had to walk out into the yard and cram my neck to see. Once out on the front road all I could see was a line of lights, very similar to aircraft lights, but still flashing and moving in a straight and no longer erratic line. Then just as suddenly nothing. I wondered if I had imagined the whole display. This is not the first time I've witnessed something like this, but the first time I've done anything about it. Not unnerving exactly, but definitely unusual. Thank you for any help or feedback. Komoka resident.

Star Like Object Over Spanish Ontario

Date: June 24, 2010
Time: 10:30 to approx 10:45 p.m.

Location of Sighting: NW sky Spanish ON Canada.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Star-like.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hello Brian, here I am back again to report seeing the same star-like UFO as I saw twice two years ago two nights in succession.

This one tonight, just hovered in one spot, moved very little, and slowly moved around in the same vicinity of sky which I measured using the tree-line outside my home office window. The sky was not very dark yet and I could see some pink around the clouds to the NW a bit further over to my right. There were no stars out around it. I saw three faint, tiny stars spaced far apart in the eastern sky out one of the other kitchen windows facing SE.

I went back to the office window, turned out the light and stood for about 5 min. watching it, and trying to figure out if it was a bright star. It slowly moved to the right over a period of fifteen minutes the space of about the thickness across of two thumbs held up at arm's length, then was gone.

This was a very large star-like object in my estimation and I could see orange/blue/red colours rotating, as the colours changed it's twinkling seemed to go brighter and dimmer.

It was very similar to the one I reported hovering over a mountain behind my apt building in Elliot Lake two years ago. As you know there is a lot of uranium up here. I recently moved from Elliot Lake ON to Spanish ON which is located on Hwy17W about 40 min drive from EL Lk.

I went into the kitchen to look out that different window facing same view, and it was still there. I returned to the office window and took note that it had moved a bit more to the right, and was now hovering over a different peak of treetops at the tree-line. I then went back to what I was working on at my desk for a few minutes.

Around 10:45pm I returned to the office window and it was gone completely. I remarked that it was not hiding behind any clouds and the sky was much darker now. No stars out at all in that area of sky. I noted the other smaller normal stars in the SE sky were still there.

These star-like, colour-changing, hovering objects are a mystery. Glad to see you back Brian, have fun!

Vernon, British Columbia A Star Like Object

Posted: May 13, 2009

Date: May 11, 2009
Time: After 10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Vernon, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Star like object.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi Brian, last night after 10:00pm I was hanging out on my balcony enjoying the night air when overhead a bright star like object caught my attention. It was travelling east. At the time I saw it, it was very bright white. It flew east over Vernon toward the mountain and began to slowly dim, and as it was dimming I saw what appeared to be a red light underneath. The height it was flying seemed to be approximately where the small planes will fly when circling Vernon. It was low, bright and slowly crossed over downtown Vernon. Take care.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Kincardine, Ontario Canada UFO Moves Like A Firefly

Posted: February 15, 2009

Date: February 14, 2009
Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Kincardine, Ontario.Number of witnesses: 1Number of Objects: 1Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Round (oblong) bright white light no sound and very fast. There was no smoke trail no jet sounds. It flew just under through fog among clean horizon. I couldn't see it go anywhere and lasted a slit second. I decided to report it as earlier that summer. I saw a light hover in my trees darting back and forth and thought it might be a firefly as it was small. There isn't any fireflies out this winter so I wanted to confirm I saw this light when I was out for a smoke.

Pointe Du Chene, New Brunswick Star Like Object Starts Moving

Posted: January 29, 2009

Date: January 27, 2009
Time: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: On Gould Beach RD.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Bright yellowish star-like.

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband and I and our dog went for a walk to do some stargazing. It was on Tuesday, January 27th 2009. We were walking on the main road and looking up at the stars, stopping frequently to observe. The road we were walking on had lots of street lights and as I looked up at one I saw a "star" suddenly start to move from the west to the east. It was moving very slowly and it was sparkly with a yellowish color. I said to my husband, "Look Up, what the heck is that"? He thought it was a plane, but there was no sound or any red or green navigation lights blinking. I said to my husband, "OMG, I have my digital camera with me and I'm going to take some video" So I took out my camera and tried to take some video of this object, but the street lights were too bright for me to be able to see the object through my lens. We watched it for about 1 or 2 minutes and it's hard to explain, but it looks like a bright star that just shrinks in size, to a tiny dot and disappears. It was not the first time that we've seen one like that, but it's been awhile and we were so happy to see one again.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Grimsby, Ontario Three Star Like Lights In A Triangle Formation

Posted: December 25, 2008

Date: May 27, 2008
Time: 0008 hrs

Location of Sighting: Grimsby, Ontario,Canada
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: 3 star-like lights in triangle formation.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hello. This is not a spectacular sighting, but just for the record and in consideration of the recent triangle UFO reports in the Niagara region. I've finally decided to report a moving triangle pattern of 3 star-like lights that I observed at 8 minutes after midnight on May 27/08. As I recall (and also I did make some written notes in my day planner), these lights were solid white with slight blue tinge, medium bright (again star-like) and they did not vary in intensity throughout the observation. They were 3 points of light that moved together, from my perspective they formed a triangle pattern in the shape of a classic Pythagorean right angle triangle (with side ratios of approx. 3,4,5). However this perceived shape could also have been caused just from the low viewing angle it appeared at. The long pointed end of the triangle was pointed in the direction of travel which was southeast in direction. I was in my backyard stargazing and I first noticed the motion in the Western sky, approximately over Hamilton and approx. 25 degrees up elevation from the Western horizon in the near vicinity of the constellation Leo.

The pattern tracked very slowly towards the South where I lost it in the horizon haze and just to the right (Western side) of the constellation Scorpios. The sky was clear and calm with some haze on the horizon and not too much light pollution. Total duration of sighting approx. 45 seconds to 1 minute. I observed this also with binoculars and as I tracked with it I noticed the star-field moving through it and behind it. In other words, it appeared as 3 independent lights i.e.. not solid body. Again, the lights were very steady in intensity and were definitely not aircraft lights (absolutely no red/green nav. or red/white strobe lights). There was no sound whatsoever. I have no way of really estimating their distance and altitude but they gave the impression of being quite high up e.g.. satellite territory (100's of miles) but I concede they could have been lower (thousands of feet).

In fact, I would concede that these may actually have been satellites, but I think what bothers me most about this is that, 1) I've never witnessed 3 satellites flying in formation, 2) aren't satellites expensive enough on their own, why task 3 to be in the same region of space at the same time, 3) the absolute precision of formation while in motion that these objects moved in was amazing, it was as if they were attached to a single object or linked in unison somehow.

I've always done some stargazing and astronomy since I was younger so I feel I have some experience looking at nighttime sky objects. I've seen literally hundreds of satellites, some spectacular meteors (of which I even have some photos) and of course many nighttime aircraft. This is the first report I've made like this. I'm not prone to leaps of imagination but tend to be realistic and, in this case, I just saw what I saw. I found your website after making this sighting and have been checking it regularly ever since and in light of recent reports from this region. I've learned some good lessons to which I try to adhere; a) I now always carry a digital camera with me (with extra batteries) wherever I go. b) I know how to use this camera, even in the dark. c) I pay way more attention, day or night, to the skies around me. By the way, I think your website is great and your providing a much needed venue for reporting these anomalies and providing it in a style that is not intimidating.
