Move over, Roswell, and step aside Area 51, the new hotspot for UFO activity appears to be the busy skies in and around Hamilton.
But the only problem for all the believers who are spotting zigzagging objects and mysterious lights, says Rob McConnell, is that there is a logical explanation for "99.9999 per cent of them."
McConnell has hosted his paranormal radio show X Zone from his Mountain home for 16 years.

Are We Alone? - UFO Sightings Defy Explanation

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. Long before humankind read the Scriptures, we glanced skyward, wondering if we were alone in the cosmos.
Unexplained sightings for literally thousands of years have culminated in a modern pastime and, for some, a lifelong search for extraterrestrials. Google “UFOs” on the Internet and you’ll find more than eight million references.
A spokesman for the Vatican said May 13 there could be life forms beyond Earth, even intelligent ones. “How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?” asked The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory. “Just as we consider earthly creatures as ‘brother’ and ‘sister,’ why should we not talk about an ‘extraterrestrial brother’?” Funes added astronomy doesn’t contradict religion and the Bible is not a book of science. He conceded the big bang theory is a “reasonable” explanation for the creation of the universe and science has vindicated astronomer Galileo. This latest revelation softens centuries of division between the church and the famed astronomer, who was deemed a heretic and forced to recant his theory that the earth revolved around the sun. Pope John Paul publicly admitted in 1992 the ruling against Galileo was a tragic error.
While science has since proven him correct, and uncovered many galactic mysteries, hard evidence of alien life and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) remains elusive. But that hasn’t curbed a belief held by millions of people around the globe – that aliens do exist and do visit earth.
This past Jan. 2, two people travelling along Highway 50 and then east on Rutherford through Vaughan saw static lights in the sky. “They did not move and made a weird shape in the sky,” according to the report posted on Canada’s largest website dedicated to UFOs – HBCC UFO Research.
Reports like this are common, according to Brian Vike, director of HBCC (Houston, British Columbia, Canada) UFO.
“I honestly wish I knew what some of the strange craft folks report were,” he said. “The majority of UFO reported sightings are explainable. A small percentage remains unknown. What these unknown craft are, this is the tough part of the UFO business.”
Vike believes we are not alone and that life exists elsewhere in the vastness of space. “Do I have actual fact that we are being visited, no,” he admits. “But I am open and listen to what folks relate to me.”
The reports continue. In fact, 2007 was a record year for sightings, Vike said.
A boomerang-shaped object was reported in Bolton July 31, 2007. While stargazing, the resident said the object was “white and grey in appearance and it had a boomerang shape to it. Almost like a banana shape … it was quite fast.”
Numerous photos were taken of a UFO Aug. 2, 2006 shortly after 9:45 p.m. The man who reported the sighting was at the Caledon Badlands near Inglewood taking photos of the moon when there was “all kinds of commotion in the trees and bushes. I got really spooked, and I don’t spook easily.” The camera kept snapping and apparently captured 15 photos of a UFO – “one just starting to break the atmosphere, two fully engulfed in the atmosphere, three cooling down; four sitting still; five leaving going back to space …”
Government secrets?
Aside from sporadic individual reports, Britain’s National Archives released 1,000 pages of formerly secret UFO documents May 14. The documents contain UFO sightings from the 1970s through 2002 and several remain unexplained. However, Britain’s defence ministry did not find any evidence of alien activity or alien spacecraft. The archives are releasing files in light of numerous freedom of information requests about government UFO reports. Defence officials noted the reports were only investigated to ensure there were no enemy aircraft over British airspace, and never attempted to solve the UFO riddle.
Vike said the official Canadian government stance is they are not hiding anything from the public and they are not investigating UFOs. However, Vike said from his sources in both the Canadian and U.S. military, “we as the general public haven’t a clue as to what is really going on at times. Yet the military is, from time to time, scrambling aircraft to intercept, or in hopes of intercepting, craft of unknown origin.”
The official roadblocks are evident. Vike said any time he goes through official channels in search of information, “it seems no one knows anything.”
The Library and Archives Canada has a collection of government records on UFOs, gathered from the Department of National Defence, Department of Transport, National Research Council and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The documents were accumulated between 1947 and the early 1980s and consist of some 9,500 digitized documents. The National Research Council began collecting reports of UFO sightings in 1968. The NRC stopped collecting reports in 1995.
There is no department in Ottawa dedicated to investigating UFOs, according to a spokesman from Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson’s office. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), a Canada-U.S. partnership, tracks all aircraft, including those of unknown origin, within Canadian airspace, with a view to identifying them. All aircraft require proper clearance and identification, according to military or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) agreements.
Federal cabinet documents from the 1960s reveal former prime minister Lester Pearson was intrigued by reports of UFOs in the night skies over southern Ontario and Great Lake states.
One of the most infamous UFO stories of the century – The Roswell Incident – involved the recovery of materials near Roswell, New Mexico, on July 7, 1947. The U.S. military maintains it was a top-secret research balloon that crashed, but there has been intense speculation and questioning ever since, giving birth the UFO phenomenon. UFO proponents believe an alien craft crashed; bodies were recovered and the military covered up the incident.
Some recognition of the UFO phenomenon came from a top-level source.
“If I become president, I'll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and scientists. I am convinced that UFOs exist because I have seen one,” said former U.S. president Jimmy Carter.
Fast-forward to Sept. 21, 2006 when a Caledon family of five saw strange, flashing lights outside their window. “Before this light descended behind our tree line, the light changed to what looked like a flashing white strobe light. It stopped its descent and started to move very quickly horizontally right and then left about three or four times … a second red light started descending in the same path the first one took. Again the light turned white and flashing …”
One of the most well known sightings in Vaughan occurred July 13, 2005 at about 11:30 p.m. Several people reported seeing a disc-like object with an orange glow to it. The light faded in and out and other lights moved across the object. It occurred on Highway 7 above the Ikea store.
These stories, and others that come to HBCC UFO on a daily basis, fuel the fire for Vike.
He said he’s personally had three UFO sightings, mostly in 2002 outside of Vancouver, “when our area went through a major UFO flap.”
An avid UFO buff since 2000, Vike said his fascination with anything of unknown nature led him to create HBCC UFO, now a major Canadian website with a worldwide following. Vike, 57, has been a science fiction fan since childhood. He was a consultant for the American History Channel and its UFO Hunter series and he said he’s waiting to hear back from another film company interested in putting together a UFO-related program.
An object with an aura around it was seen in Caledon Sept. 11, 2004. “I looked to the west sky and there it was … it got brighter and gave off some type of aura … it was zigzagging and doing circular movements.”
Skeptics
What about the skeptics and naysayers?
Vike said those who are adamant that we are, in fact alone in the cosmos, are not open-minded enough to at least consider the idea of earth being visited by other life forms.
World-renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking upset the UFO community with some comments made during an April lecture at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
“We don’t appear to have been visited by aliens,” Hawking said. “Why would they only appear to cranks and weirdoes?”
In a previous lecture entitled Life in the Universe, Hawking touched on the chances that humans would encounter alien life as we explore the galaxy. While he conceded many planets could have life on them, considering many were formed billions of years before our earth, he wondered why the galaxy isn’t filled with activity.
“So why is the galaxy not crawling with self-designing mechanical or biological life forms? Why hasn't the Earth been visited, and even colonized. I discount suggestions that UFOs contain beings from outer space. I think any visits by aliens, would be much more obvious, and probably also, much more unpleasant.”
Renowned astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake created the Drake equation in 1961 that estimates the number of “communicating civilizations” in our Milky Way galaxy. Using his formula, current conservative estimates put that number at 1,000 (planets with intelligent life) in our galaxy alone. Astronomers estimated there are 80 to 100 billion galaxies in the observable universe. Drake was the founder of SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) and the SETI Institute, founded in 1984, has a mandate to “explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe.”
Down to earth, Caledon’s clay hills, which resemble a Martian landscape, seem to draw visitors of both the earthly and extraterrestrial kinds.
One person saw different objects in the sky Sept. 22, 2004 on visit to the Badlands. “The first one was in the northwest and it was very bright with almost a strobe light effect – white, green and red lights. It moved very fast up and down like the (amusement park ride) Drop Zone. Then we looked to the east and there was another one, again it moved and turned in the same way.”
Believers seen undaunted by a lack of evidence or criticism in their cosmic fascination.
“I know from my experiences they visit throughout the winter … I’ll keep watching,” said a Caledon resident who saw rapidly flashing lights in November of 2004.
“If you can get people to stay long enough to witness it once, you pretty much have a new believer,” wrote another.

Canadian UFO Sighting Reports - 551 Reported Sightings For 2008

The below total number of Canadian sighting reports were received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINFO.

*HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO* together have received 551 written and audio UFO sighting reports from January 1, 2008 up until December 31, 2008 and in 2008 we received more reports than we did in 2007.
Ontario, in 2008 leads the Canadian provinces with 192 reported sightings, followed by British Columbia with 179 cases.
Below is a break down on reports received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINFO from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008.

British Columbia - 179 reported sightings.
Ontario - 192 reported sightings.
Alberta - 47 reported sightings.
Nova Scotia - 21 reported sightings.

New Brunswick - 22 reported sightings.
Newfoundland - 7 reported sightings.
Yukon - 2 reported sightings.

The sightings range from meteor sightings, aircraft, stars, the ISS, etc. Although many of the sightings were certainly explainable, there were some really amazing cases in which no answers could be found and I am still looking for a rational explanation for some events.
One of the most amazing UFO events took place between Houston and Burns Lake, British Columbia on August 3, 2008 where two men were stopped by a UFO which was hovering in front of their vehicle, not once but twice on the same evening. Also on August 8, 2008 in the same general area, Uncha Lake South Of Burns Lake, British Columbia a number of eyewitnesses watched a large platform with two circle objects attached to it floating/drifting across the evening sky and finally disappearing over a local mountain. This craft? UFO was estimated to be 200 to 500 feet in length. Also the Sasquatch paid us a visit in northern British Columbia where I reside in Houston. Also the critter was seen in several other places in B.C. as well, so a good year for Sasquatch sightings around the end of July 2008 onward.
I should also add the Okanagan in British Columbia is again proving to be a Canadian hotspot for reported sightings. In particular, Vernon, B.C. has been a very active area with 32 reported sightings in 2008.
Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 551 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces by the end of December 31, 2008.
I couldn't even guess how many UFOs reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years. I should also add, there was a huge amount of sightings that came in from the United Kingdom. These were over the orange lights/object sightings. Many of these objects reported turned out to be Chinese Lanterns, but certainly not all of the sightings were this.
Like I always tell folks, no matter when the UFO event took place, please send in your report, either to HBCC UFO Research or UFOINFO as we are here to help where we can, and are extremely interested in what the witness has to say. I also keep harping on an important part of this UFO topic, and that is that the witness who is reporting to us, is that their private/personal information is completely confidential.

Also on August 8, 2008 in the same general area, Uncha Lake South Of Burns Lake, British Columbia a number of eyewitnesses watched a large platform with two circle objects attached to it floating/drifting across the evening sky and finally disappearing over a local mountain. This craft? UFO was estimated to be 200 to 500 feet in length. Also the Sasquatch paid us a visit in northern British Columbia where I reside in Houston. Also the critter was seen in several other places in B.C. as well, so a good year for Sasquatch sightings around the end of July 2008 onward.
I should also add the Okanagan in British Columbia is again proving to be a Canadian hotspot for reported sightings. In particular, Vernon, B.C. has been a very active area with 32 reported sightings in 2008.
Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 551 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces by the end of December 31, 2008.
I couldn't even guess how many UFOs reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years. I should also add, there was a huge amount of sightings that came in from the United Kingdom. These were over the orange lights/object sightings. Many of these objects reported turned out to be Chinese Lanterns, but certainly not all of the sightings were this.
Like I always tell folks, no matter when the UFO event took place, please send in your report, either to HBCC UFO Research or UFOINFO as we are here to help where we can, and are extremely interested in what the witness has to say. I also keep harping on an important part of this UFO topic, and that is that the witness who is reporting to us, is that their private/personal information is completely confidential.

Charlotte, North Carolina A Rectangular Shaped UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving in 5 o'clock traffic on I-85 in north Charlotte, NC towards UNC-Charlotte campus. I was taking an exit ramp towards the university when I looked up in front of me about 150 yards away a rectangular shaped object was floating silently above the tree line. At first I thought it must be a banner being pulled by a plane but I quickly realized that wasn't the case. It was as large as a tennis court. The object was covered with encased reflective panels that were dark army green and may have been reflecting the trees below.
I drove slowly and watched it in utter amazement for about 15 seconds. I had time to take off my sunglasses to make sure of what I was seeing. As the traffic crept down the road the UFO floated behind a tree line and I couldn't see it anymore. I didn't even think to look at other drivers to see if they reacted to it.
As I got closer to the campus, I noticed two cars that were pulled off the road. I was kind of in a daze and was locked in with the rest of traffic so had to keep going.
I've researched rectangle shaped UFO reports and find many similarities such as most witnesses having the initial reaction that it must be a banner being pulled by an airplane. In fact, another rectangle UFO was reported in Charlotte, NC in September 2008, in the same area of town. Seeing this object did change my life in that I know for certain now that UFO's are real and they can do anything.

Full Description of event/sighting: Three friends and I were driving around the city with a video camera looking for entertainment and we decided to go to Bowerman Basin to film what we thought was the moon. A large round, red glowing object hung in the sky above the airport and i wanted to film it. I went to turn my camera on and the object appeared to sink into the water below. There was no sound emitted by the moon-like object and no splash in the water and the glowing disappeared and we were all standing stunned.

Description: I am not sure in honesty what this was- I don't even believe in UFO's but I must admit that I am baffled. I was standing outside the front of my house with my sister when we saw a bizarre orange light in the sky. It was moving rather quickly and did not seem to be at a tremendous altitude. It was absolutely silent and quite disconcerting. It seemed to be moving at about the speed of a helicopter, however at the altitude it appeared to be at a helicopter
would have been clearly audible. After 30 seconds meandering across the sky it stopped and then curved about 20 degrees in movement. Then after a brief pause of 10 seconds it appeared to increase in altitude at a pretty fast rate. It dimmed to red and disappeared with very little warning in a matter of 10 seconds.
I noticed another 2 reports on this website locally to here (Strood, Kent is part of the same conurbation and Gravesend is 10 minutes drive away), and have considered the possibility of a UFO balloon or a weather balloon. However it did not appear to move like any balloon I have ever seen as it's speed seemed more akin to that of an aircraft or helicopter. Indeed I would have assumed that it was one or the other of those if it weren't for the fact that it was dead
silent, it appeared to stop for a brief while quite suddenly, the light it gave off was not like any I had seen in the sky before and it's very rapid increase in altitude and its subsequent disappearance.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, I doubt very much that it has anything to do with aliens or anything like that (after all, if they could travel trillions of miles to get to this planet I feel they would also take care not to be so obvious about it) but it was still bizarre and I felt that I should relate it to somebody who has spent more time collecting information on such objects (after all, I would describe it as a UFO as I certainly couldn't identify what it could be).
Thank you again for your time, the event has certainly got me thinking about things a fair amount more and I am certainly less dismissive about the subject of UFO's as a consequence.

As it got over head there was no noise just silence but it was not high enough to be a plane because of its fast speed then it just went very dim and just vanished. I would love to know if anyone else witnessed this as I never really believed in this sort of thing until now (and no it wasn't Father Christmas as I've been joked with).

However it slowed down to a standstill at which stage I ran for a witness, my son and his wife duly came out and confirmed the sighting. At this stage the object started to move in a northerly
direction and the fieriness of the object changed into three circular disks in a triangular formation as it moved away. It must have been at low altitude as it was under the cloud cover. My grandson reckoned it was Santa Claus going home after a busy night.

My wife was outside our house back door which faces south at 19.04 hours on the 25th December 2008 she shouted me to come and look, a very large round orange light was travelling from south to north very quickly. We watched the object turn from the large Emley Moor TV mast and head via north west. The object then started reducing in size as though it was climbing very fast vertical into the sky, my first reaction was that of a plane on fire but all was quiet and no noise could be heard. I am nearly fifty years old worked nights outside and have never seen anything like this.

No it was not one of those at all my first thought was an aeroplane was on fire but the time and distance rule this out as it would have exploded. The speed which it was travelling would also rule this out because it travelled south to north at the same level, it was only when it changed to north west it appeared to climb. At this point it moved north west, Manchester Airport would be to the left and Leeds Airport to the right.

Description: We saw one orange light which was almost like a flickering ball of flame then another light of the same brightness appeared and the two moved around each other with unnaturally fluid motions for about one minute.
A third bigger and brighter ball of light moved across from the right to meet the other two as they were fading away and stayed to the right of them.
After about 45 seconds the third light had started to fade away or travel away and disappear into nothing.
The whole time we were watching them it was completely silent except for one "ping" and the only way we could describe this would to be a note on a triangle the size of a house. Not because of the volume of the sound but the resonance.

Description: 4 silent lights traveling in the sky, in formation, straight line. Spaced apart enough so light will not reveal form of objects within its proximity. I took photos on mobile, usual story as mobile will not take perfect picture.
TV/Radio: I do not know of any other reporting, and I do not wish to go public with my name. This was an observation, this is reported so movement can be calculated if any one else has seen the same. Hopefully a pattern will emerge?

If the balloons have self contained heat source with lighting cool, I can not tell you what it is, I am only referencing its path. I know what I have seen and am not about to broadcast it, I just thought it would add reference to your research. I am open minded and do understand what I have encountered, I will always know deep inside I have seen a ufo, but that will probably be all as I have too much to lose by shouting my mouth off. Description: A v-formation of dim star like lights, it looked like a giant hand-glider but huge, it came towards me from the north-west and then turned towards the south. No noise and no flashing lights, just a very large triangle, if I had to guess the size I would say the size of maybe two soccer-fields. The center of this object must be solid because there are stars out and as it came over me no stars could be seen, it was that big, the speed difficult to say, but I had plenty time to have a good look at it, as I said no noise but what I did notice is the dogs in the area started barking!! Strange hey! Did anybody else see it???

Thank you John for your reply, at this stage I have not found anyone or any newspaper article to confirm sighting, as I hoped that someone else could verify what I had seen, but I know what I had seen is the real thing! What was interesting after reading other articles, is the Groendale sightings here in the Uitenhage district of the Eastern Cape, this Groendale nature reserve is about 10km away from were I stay and what I initially saw came from this direction.

But all in shock as it slowly passed us and didn't go out. There was no sound coming from this object. Took photo and 14 second video, not very good video but photo better but due to shock taken when passed us. It was heading towards Newall Green in slow motion. Still in shock anyone else seen it?

Was able to stop and back up but it was gone. There was no change in sun being cloud covered and I looked through windshield and open window during and after sighting. Stayed and watched for a half minute or so and saw no evidence of aircraft whatsoever.

Niagara Parkway, Ontario Four Huge Lights Lined Up In Possible Circle

Hi Brian, I spoke to you some time ago re a multiple metallic "flying saucer" sighting in the 1950s in Menihek, Labrador, by a neighbour.
While I have never seen a UFO that I didn't categorize as likely being landing lights from an aircraft or a star or planet, my friend and I did see something strange over the Niagara Parkway (Ontario) Tuesday night December 30, 2008 at 8:02 pm Eastern time. Because it was so strange, my friend took note of the time. We were about ten kilometers out of Niagara on the Lake heading for Niagara Falls when we observed four (4) huge, self-illuminated lights lined up in the beginnings of what might have been a circle. In other words, though we saw no shape of any kind behind the lights, they were equidistant apart, in a row that was slightly "bent." I used to be a student pilot and estimated them to be at roughly about 500 feet altitude. They were exceptionally bright - almost like movie klieg lights and I said to (my friend): "Jeez, have we seen them before!?" She replied: "No..." and I came back with: "What are they?" Naturally, one looks for a rational explanation such as some sort of new installation, even though I knew they were too high to be on any ground structure in our area.
We were coming to a turn with some trees following the parkway and I said: "Let's see them from over here. Four is too many for landing lights and a plane shouldn't be at that altitude anyhow." We rounded the bend, drove for five or ten seconds and they were gone. I stopped on the escarpment at the Brock Monument overlook to scan the area but could see nothing. The evening was fairly overcast but I don't know what the ceiling was that night - something that would likely be available. I decided to goggle lights, Niagara etc. to see if anyone else saw them and came across the other reports from Welland which is in our area - a few miles away. We also waited to see if there were any news report.
Anyhow, I wouldn't file a formal UFO sighting report as I have no idea what they were other than some strange, exceptionally powerful lights in the sky that shouldn't have been there. Their spacing was too close for multiple aircraft with landing lights on to be flying safely and, anyhow, I used to live on a flight path for Toronto International and never saw lights this bright on any aircraft! Pilots should be so lucky.

Full Description of event/sighting: While spending Hogmany at Loch Rannoch, my girlfriend and I spotted four round balls of orange light which seemed to be about a thousand feet above us and about halfway over the loch.The loch sits in a long Glenn and is surrounded by mountains and it seemed as though the lights were traveling beneath the height of the mountains.They followed an exact flight path to one another and were separated by equal intervals.A fifth one then appeared and joined the formation as the first one reached about the end of the loch and it faded away.Each one then did the same thing and faded away when reaching the same point.These lights were an orange colour and were round and about the size of a car.As they passed very slowly by and were very close to us I was astonished to hear not the slightest sound,nothing! There was no wind whatsoever so as far as I could tell they seemed to float past us.This was witnessed by other people outside the hotel and by some hotel staff. A staff member claimed there was military test ground nearby and lights etc are not unusual.

Last night before midnight, my son called me to the window and said this is strange firework. I looked out and I knew it was not. This object was bright big orange thick flame like slow moving it took approx: 3 minutes, tried to take pictures on mobile but very grainy. This was not a firework, so I Google orange flame Romford few mins ago and came up with your sighting in November 2008 was wondering did you see it too? I'm in Romford near the chase. Full Description of event/sighting: A few of us met at a friends house in east Orlando to follow each other to a New Years Eve party. When we walked out of the house to get in our cars, I noticed a square shaped object with what looked like a fire ball inside or to the back of it. It was traveling southeast in a straight line and it had no sound to it at all. I said to my girlfriend and 5 friends, "look at that, what is it" We all then watched it glide across the dark sky and disappear. We all watched in amazement so it wasn't until it was far away that I tried to record it with my cell phone. My friend lives in a neighborhood with not many street lights so it was easy to see and no one was putting off any fireworks at the time. It was the strangest thing any of us as ever seen in the sky.

Shoeburyness Essex UK Numerous Orange Colored Lights

Hi, there, at 12.05am New Years day, my partner kids and neighbors were out front seeing in the New Year. We were watching the fireworks going off and we were all amazed to see a bright orange light. It looked like a large twinkling star, but it was bright orange. It was then followed by nine other lights moving very fast and in sequence and when they each got to a point and faded they moved from the east to west. We live in Shoeburyness Essex and we akk spent a large amount of time after trying to work out what it could be. I have seen clips of UFO balloons and they don't look like them as these were twinkling and very bright orange.
They had no other lights, although we discussed that it could be military aircraft, again no lights and we didn't think it was plausible as these lights were travelling quite close together. A neighbor further down came to wish us happy New Year and started telling us he had seen strange orange lights earlier in the evening. Well I just thought I'd share this with you, we were very sober and whilst I don't want to make a fuss about it, we are all very baffled, that is the ten of us that witnessed it. It actually frightened the younger ones, so if you can shed any light we would be grateful. Thank you for your time.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi, I am from north east England and today the first of January 2009, 4 of us seen a large red object in the sky. On first glance thoughts were of a helicopter or plane. There was no noise from it, it was like a light bulb shape at the top, sometimes orangey red in colour. It moved overhead in one direction and we thought nothing of it other than a lovely red light. Then it moved in the opposite direction and we became curious. Couldn't make head nor tail of it. After 3 minutes of first spotting it we then seen another red light similar but looked nearer us! No noise,or beacon lights, no plane wings, with the closest object we did manage to catch a glimpse of a halo light at the top. Also same shape and colours as the other one.
The sky was quite clear, small clouds further up, and the objects then progressed along the sky slow then fast in various directions and then sort of went straight up until they looked out of sight behind far away clouds! Amazing sights. Me and my partner and 2 children seen this at 5.05pm 1st Jan 2009 in Shiremoor, Tyne and wear.England! We did manage to take a small video recording on a mobile phone.

Full Description of event/sighting: Walking home from our village pub a little after midnight following the New Year party, my wife and I stopped to admire some Christmas decorations on the houses at the bottom of the track leading up to our place. What seemed to be a Christmas light or firework came over the roof of one of the houses. It was like an orange lantern, (circular, but also, perhaps having some rectangular structure) gliding silently and steadily through a hazy sky in which only a few stars were visible. We are keen astronomers and spend a lot of time sky watching, so we know when something is unusual and this was definitely the case. In fact, I'd been doing some astrophotography earlier in the evening (Venus and the crescent moon) and I'd brought my camcorder to record a few songs by the featured band. I was therefore able to get about one and a half minutes on tape of the object's passage from a southerly direction - veering toward the north west.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was having problems getting my four year old to sleep last night because fireworks were being set off because of the New Year celebrations. So I gave in and put my lights off and myself and my four year old sat watching the fireworks from my living room window. As we were watching, I noticed an orange glow. It was small to start off with, but as it got higher in the sky it grew in size and got brighter. It came from the northeast direction of my window. I don't know what direction my window faces. Then a smaller light came up and this one grew in size as well, but not as big as the first one. They kind of half circled around each other and were two inches apart from the distance I was watching and it looked like they were dancing , it was very beautiful.
They were not traveling fast and they were quite slow. After a minute or so, the second one flew away into the distance, but I could still see the light, but it was very small. The larger one stayed there a bit longer then flew of in the same direction. At first I thought it was a helicopter as you get a lot in the west end of Paisley, but I opened my window and there was no noise, they were both silent. I think the first one was a dark shape with a light, but unsure if my eyes were playing tricks on me.
When the first light caught my attention, I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my phone and video taped it for about a minute and a half and took several pictures. When I looked at the pictures, one of the lights is in a boomerang kind of shape and glowing bright orange, but it's a really clear picture. The second one is a longer shape, but not as orange as the first one.
My son watched this going on with me and I said to my son, look at the lights dancing because it was such a beautiful sight to see and watch. He watched then turned around and said, Mum, close the window, don't let the orange lights in. This was caught on my video. The pictures I took from 0500 to 0700 this morning just after the bell are quite clear and I really don't know what to do with them. Could someone contact me so i know what to do.
I went onto your website at the back of two when I calmed my son down and finally got him to sleep, but I'm shaking now because someone else saw what I saw and have the pictures to prove it happening as well. I am quite skeptical, but do believe that we are not alone and I believe that I think there is something after we die. But this thing that has happened, has really got me. But unsure in what way.

Wheatly Hills Doncaster UK Three Orange Colored Lights/Objects

I just read a report about a UFO sighting in Wheatly Hills Doncaster dated 1st January 2008. (sighting was 2009) I saw the same exact sighting on 1st January, but 2009 at exact same time either he got the date wrong or it's happened again. These looked really high to me and there was three lights and they all went out at the same point of there destination, except one, which went straight up. I have never seen anything like it, nor did all my friends. Either it was strange awaiting some type of reply.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside with my partner, welcoming in New Year and watching fireworks over the rooftops nearby, when we noticed 3 large orange orbs flying towards us, high overhead, just inland of the sea, moving directly East to West. They moved at constant speed but in a clear triangle formation. They were large orbs or balls, and bright orange in colour. They appeared to be flying as high as usual commercial aircraft would over this area, estimate maybe 15,000ft, but with no sound or blinking of lights (we're both very familiar with various aircraft lights, living on flight-paths of Gatwick, Heathrow and a small local airport). These were much, much larger than aircraft lights, and much brighter, steady orange lights. Given the height they were at, they must have been of considerable size.
They reached a certain point in sky, still over the coastline, almost directly in line with the house, then seemed to shoot upwards and vanish one after another.
Several minutes later, another 3 appeared from same direction, and followed exactly the same sequence and triangle formation, reaching the same point in sky, in line with the house, then suddenly moved upwards and vanished.
I took a short video on the mobile phone, but it has not captured them anywhere near as clearly as could be seen with naked eye. I took a few still pictures also, but these have come out as showing the objects as white circles or disc shaped, and not as clear or bright as what we could see ourselves.
We couldn't take our eyes off them, even though we were freezing cold and would rather have gone back into the warm house, we stood there discussing what we had seen. My partner is very logical and analytical and tried to find a possible rational explanation but couldn't find any to fit what we saw.
We were still stood discussing it when another 3 appeared, and again they followed the same path and formation before moving upwards vertically and vanishing, one by one, in the same spot. Then a final one, travelling alone, and seemingly much brighter and larger than the previous ones flew over. This too disappeared upwards in same location.
There was no wind, and no logical explanation for the triangle formation, flight path nor the sudden upwards movement before vanishing. They were definitely not fireworks, and from the size, height, speed, flight path and formation (and sudden upwards movement before vanishing) they definitely weren't balloons, planes or helicopters. We did wonder if they could be something related with the military, but we are within commercial airspace here, and even then we could not work out what sort of military craft could disappear so suddenly like these things did, or move so silently.
We were both 100% sober (non-drinkers), nor are we taken to flights of fancy. My partner has never seen a UFO before. I've had one brief daylight UFO sighting in the past, witnessed by others, but am not a UFO spotter or anything of that ilk.
Later on, we joked about not going outside alone in case one of us was "beamed up", we were only joking about it, as neither of us is afraid of being outside in the dark or anything like that, however, the fact is we were both a bit spooked by it. There was a strange and eerie feel about the whole thing. We both felt (independently of each other) almost as if maybe we had been spotted, or had been watched by these things, before they disappeared in the same spot above the house. We each had a sense that maybe they were watching us as much as we were watching them! Sounds strange, but true.
It's certainly given us something to ponder in 2009!
There may be plenty of other people who saw them? It was New Year, so quite likely a few folks were outside watching fireworks? Would be good to know if anyone else saw these unidentified flying orange lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: Sighting occurred between 12:15 & 12:25am on January 1st 2009. In first instance I spotted two steady orange lights one slightly brighter then the other hanging in the sky to the west while walking in Black Boy Road, west, towards the center of town. At that time I took them to be stars or planets which were bright enough to shine through the cloud cover, and in doing so had taken on the orangey colour.
Within a couple of minutes I again looked upwards, this time only one was visible, it was moving slow and steady from north too south across the sky at an angle of maybe 50 degrees, at which point I pointed this out to my girlfriend, we both then watched as this lasted for something under a minute before it appeared to stop complete, it then changed direction heading into the west, it appeared to both accelerate and fade before disappearing completely.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were enjoying New Years eve round my friends. After seeing out 12:00am and celebrated New Year we proceeded to watch the fireworks off the balcony (my friend lives top floor on a apartment block) after watching the fireworks we started playing on the WII Fit. Then around 1.30am ish my friend jumped up out of his seat shouting what the hell is that? Myself, my girlfriend, my friend and his girlfriend all jumped up an rushed to the window, before I got to the window, thoughts were rushing through my head that it was a meteor, but then when I got to the window I could see 3 objects, which seemed to just be hovering they were all about the same height at a estimate I'd say 35,000 - 50,000ft.
They were higher than a aeroplane, they were also at a estimate about a mile away from each other, so they were all the same height and evenly spaced in the sky, after been there 4 1-2 minutes they started glowing bright orange and lit the sky, then 1 shot off very fast, then the next, then finally the last. After they'd all gone we all looked at each other in disbelief, none of us are into UFO's, we were also gutted that even having 4 camera/videophones and also a digital camera to hand none of us took any pictures or video's. So telling people the next day as you can imagine was hard as we have no evidence but we all no what we saw! If any has any info or any other sightings that they'd like to share please do. another thing was I can't believe what I saw, I've never seen anything like it before I didn't no who to report it to? So if anybody can help me with that, that'd be great help. Thanks.

I looked towards the east of Paisley where most of the fireworks were going up, as I turned to go back inside, I noticed coming from a north direction a glowing orange round shape going across the sky in a curve path towards the west there were 2 of these objects a fare distance apart going in the same direction, same curved path, same altitude. There was no noise from these objects just an orange glow. Traffic control at Glasgow Airport must have seen these objects as they would have been west of the airfield.

Spring Hill, Florida Orange Object (Pictures)

I was in Key West Florida with family and witnessed the same thing at the same time. We took two pictures, it looked like a rocket or a craft with orange flame, very bright. It moved from one side of the sky to the other, very high, about the speed of a satellite. Please do not publish my name, I thought that the pictures might be of interest. I have seen shuttle launches and rockets, this looked like a rocket but no sound. It moved at the speed of a rocket but disappeared after crossing the skyline. Kind Regards.

Barnstaple , North Devon England A Red Colored Light

Hi Brian, About 20 minutes ago at approx 7.50pm , our dog was asking to go out the back, so I stood just outside the back door waiting for him to finish relieving himself as it's very cold here this evening, we've had a lot of frost and ice recently. As I was standing there, I glanced up into the sky , it's a very crisp, clear, cloudless sky tonight, all the stars are bright and twinkling, one of the stars caught my eye as it started to pulse very bright red becoming bigger then smaller (our dog had finished by now and returned inside the house, I'm still standing there freezing. Anyways, I wanted to go in to get my camera, but thought that if I did, it would be gone by the time I got back, so I just kept watching it.
I couldn't make-out any actual shape, it just looked like a red star amongst the rest, it then started moving slowly and purposefully from east to a westerly direction, it was slow, quite low by now and totally sound-less, nothing , very smooth the way it was travelling across the sky. Size-wise, about the same size as the stars , but got bigger as it appeared to come down to a lower altitude and moved across the sky as I've already described. I stood there for about (at a guess) 3 or 4 minutes watching as it pulsed a very bright red .
Could it have been some kind of military aircraft ?, but wouldn't there have been sound with it ?. The weather conditions here this evening are crystal clear, dry, cloud-less, very still and quiet evening as I've already said. I thought I just let you know . With best wishes.

Charlotte, North Carolina A Rectangular Shaped UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving in 5 o'clock traffic on I-85 in north Charlotte, NC towards UNC-Charlotte campus. I was taking an exit ramp towards the university when I looked up in front of me about 150 yards away a rectangular shaped object was floating silently above the tree line. At first I thought it must be a banner being pulled by a plane but I quickly realized that wasn't the case. It was as large as a tennis court. The object was covered with encased reflective panels that were dark army green and may have been reflecting the trees below.
I drove slowly and watched it in utter amazement for about 15 seconds. I had time to take off my sunglasses to make sure of what I was seeing. As the traffic crept down the road the UFO floated behind a tree line and I couldn't see it anymore. I didn't even think to look at other drivers to see if they reacted to it.
As I got closer to the campus, I noticed two cars that were pulled off the road. I was kind of in a daze and was locked in with the rest of traffic so had to keep going.
I've researched rectangle shaped UFO reports and find many similarities such as most witnesses having the initial reaction that it must be a banner being pulled by an airplane. In fact, another rectangle UFO was reported in Charlotte, NC in September 2008, in the same area of town. Seeing this object did change my life in that I know for certain now that UFO's are real and they can do anything.

Full Description of event/sighting: Three friends and I were driving around the city with a video camera looking for entertainment and we decided to go to Bowerman Basin to film what we thought was the moon. A large round, red glowing object hung in the sky above the airport and i wanted to film it. I went to turn my camera on and the object appeared to sink into the water below. There was no sound emitted by the moon-like object and no splash in the water and the glowing disappeared and we were all standing stunned.

Description: I am not sure in honesty what this was- I don't even believe in UFO's but I must admit that I am baffled. I was standing outside the front of my house with my sister when we saw a bizarre orange light in the sky. It was moving rather quickly and did not seem to be at a tremendous altitude. It was absolutely silent and quite disconcerting. It seemed to be moving at about the speed of a helicopter, however at the altitude it appeared to be at a helicopter
would have been clearly audible. After 30 seconds meandering across the sky it stopped and then curved about 20 degrees in movement. Then after a brief pause of 10 seconds it appeared to increase in altitude at a pretty fast rate. It dimmed to red and disappeared with very little warning in a matter of 10 seconds.
I noticed another 2 reports on this website locally to here (Strood, Kent is part of the same conurbation and Gravesend is 10 minutes drive away), and have considered the possibility of a UFO balloon or a weather balloon. However it did not appear to move like any balloon I have ever seen as it's speed seemed more akin to that of an aircraft or helicopter. Indeed I would have assumed that it was one or the other of those if it weren't for the fact that it was dead
silent, it appeared to stop for a brief while quite suddenly, the light it gave off was not like any I had seen in the sky before and it's very rapid increase in altitude and its subsequent disappearance.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, I doubt very much that it has anything to do with aliens or anything like that (after all, if they could travel trillions of miles to get to this planet I feel they would also take care not to be so obvious about it) but it was still bizarre and I felt that I should relate it to somebody who has spent more time collecting information on such objects (after all, I would describe it as a UFO as I certainly couldn't identify what it could be).
Thank you again for your time, the event has certainly got me thinking about things a fair amount more and I am certainly less dismissive about the subject of UFO's as a consequence.

As it got over head there was no noise just silence but it was not high enough to be a plane because of its fast speed then it just went very dim and just vanished. I would love to know if anyone else witnessed this as I never really believed in this sort of thing until now (and no it wasn't Father Christmas as I've been joked with).

My first impressions where that it was a plane on fire because of the intense orangey red light emanating from the object. However it slowed down to a standstill at which stage I ran for a witness, my son and his wife duly came out and confirmed the sighting. At this stage the object started to move in a northerly
direction and the fieriness of the object changed into three circular disks in a triangular formation as it moved away. It must have been at low altitude as it was under the cloud cover. My grandson reckoned it was Santa Claus going home after a busy night.

My wife was outside our house back door which faces south at 19.04 hours on the 25th December 2008 she shouted me to come and look, a very large round orange light was travelling from south to north very quickly. We watched the object turn from the large Emley Moor TV mast and head via north west. The object then started reducing in size as though it was climbing very fast vertical into the sky, my first reaction was that of a plane on fire but all was quiet and no noise could be heard. I am nearly fifty years old worked nights outside and have never seen anything like this.

No it was not one of those at all my first thought was an aeroplane was on fire but the time and distance rule this out as it would have exploded. The speed which it was travelling would also rule this out because it travelled south to north at the same level, it was only when it changed to north west it appeared to climb. At this point it moved north west, Manchester Airport would be to the left and Leeds Airport to the right.

Description: We saw one orange light which was almost like a flickering ball of flame then another light of the same brightness appeared and the two moved around each other with unnaturally fluid motions for about one minute.
A third bigger and brighter ball of light moved across from the right to meet the other two as they were fading away and stayed to the right of them.
After about 45 seconds the third light had started to fade away or travel away and disappear into nothing.
The whole time we were watching them it was completely silent except for one "ping" and the only way we could describe this would to be a note on a triangle the size of a house. Not because of the volume of the sound but the resonance.

Thank you for your reply, no weather balloon can travel that fast or in controlled formation. If the balloons have self contained heat source with lighting cool, I can not tell you what it is, I am only referencing its path. I know what I have seen and am not about to broadcast it, I just thought it would add reference to your research. I am open minded and do understand what I have encountered, I will always know deep inside I have seen a ufo, but that will probably be all as I have too much to lose by shouting my mouth off. Description: A v-formation of dim star like lights, it looked like a giant hand-glider but huge, it came towards me from the north-west and then turned towards the south. No noise and no flashing lights, just a very large triangle, if I had to guess the size I would say the size of maybe two soccer-fields. The center of this object must be solid because there are stars out and as it came over me no stars could be seen, it was that big, the speed difficult to say, but I had plenty time to have a good look at it, as I said no noise but what I did notice is the dogs in the area started barking!! Strange hey! Did anybody else see it???

Thank you John for your reply, at this stage I have not found anyone or any newspaper article to confirm sighting, as I hoped that someone else could verify what I had seen, but I know what I had seen is the real thing! What was interesting after reading other articles, is the Groendale sightings here in the Uitenhage district of the Eastern Cape, this Groendale nature reserve is about 10km away from were I stay and what I initially saw came from this direction.

We all stopped to look at this light as it was too low to be a plane and too slow. ( At first we thought it might have been a flare or a firework as husband ex army.) But all in shock as it slowly passed us and didn't go out. There was no sound coming from this object. Took photo and 14 second video, not very good video but photo better but due to shock taken when passed us. It was heading towards Newall Green in slow motion. Still in shock anyone else seen it?

Niagara Parkway, Ontario Four Huge Lights Lined Up In Possible Circle

Hi Brian, I spoke to you some time ago re a multiple metallic "flying saucer" sighting in the 1950s in Menihek, Labrador, by a neighbour.
While I have never seen a UFO that I didn't categorize as likely being landing lights from an aircraft or a star or planet, my friend and I did see something strange over the Niagara Parkway (Ontario) Tuesday night December 30, 2008 at 8:02 pm Eastern time. Because it was so strange, my friend took note of the time. We were about ten kilometers out of Niagara on the Lake heading for Niagara Falls when we observed four (4) huge, self-illuminated lights lined up in the beginnings of what might have been a circle. In other words, though we saw no shape of any kind behind the lights, they were equidistant apart, in a row that was slightly "bent." I used to be a student pilot and estimated them to be at roughly about 500 feet altitude. They were exceptionally bright - almost like movie klieg lights and I said to (my friend): "Jeez, have we seen them before!?" She replied: "No..." and I came back with: "What are they?" Naturally, one looks for a rational explanation such as some sort of new installation, even though I knew they were too high to be on any ground structure in our area.
We were coming to a turn with some trees following the parkway and I said: "Let's see them from over here. Four is too many for landing lights and a plane shouldn't be at that altitude anyhow." We rounded the bend, drove for five or ten seconds and they were gone. I stopped on the escarpment at the Brock Monument overlook to scan the area but could see nothing. The evening was fairly overcast but I don't know what the ceiling was that night - something that would likely be available. I decided to goggle lights, Niagara etc. to see if anyone else saw them and came across the other reports from Welland which is in our area - a few miles away. We also waited to see if there were any news report.
Anyhow, I wouldn't file a formal UFO sighting report as I have no idea what they were other than some strange, exceptionally powerful lights in the sky that shouldn't have been there. Their spacing was too close for multiple aircraft with landing lights on to be flying safely and, anyhow, I used to live on a flight path for Toronto International and never saw lights this bright on any aircraft! Pilots should be so lucky.

Full Description of event/sighting: While spending Hogmany at Loch Rannoch, my girlfriend and I spotted four round balls of orange light which seemed to be about a thousand feet above us and about halfway over the loch.The loch sits in a long Glenn and is surrounded by mountains and it seemed as though the lights were traveling beneath the height of the mountains.They followed an exact flight path to one another and were separated by equal intervals.A fifth one then appeared and joined the formation as the first one reached about the end of the loch and it faded away.Each one then did the same thing and faded away when reaching the same point.These lights were an orange colour and were round and about the size of a car.As they passed very slowly by and were very close to us I was astonished to hear not the slightest sound,nothing! There was no wind whatsoever so as far as I could tell they seemed to float past us.This was witnessed by other people outside the hotel and by some hotel staff. A staff member claimed there was military test ground nearby and lights etc are not unusual.

I said to my girlfriend and 5 friends, "look at that, what is it" We all then watched it glide across the dark sky and disappear. We all watched in amazement so it wasn't until it was far away that I tried to record it with my cell phone. My friend lives in a neighborhood with not many street lights so it was easy to see and no one was putting off any fireworks at the time. It was the strangest thing any of us as ever seen in the sky.

Hi, there, at 12.05am New Years day, my partner kids and neighbors were out front seeing in the New Year. We were watching the fireworks going off and we were all amazed to see a bright orange light. It looked like a large twinkling star, but it was bright orange. It was then followed by nine other lights moving very fast and in sequence and when they each got to a point and faded they moved from the east to west. We live in Shoeburyness Essex and we akk spent a large amount of time after trying to work out what it could be. I have seen clips of UFO balloons and they don't look like them as these were twinkling and very bright orange.
They had no other lights, although we discussed that it could be military aircraft, again no lights and we didn't think it was plausible as these lights were travelling quite close together. A neighbor further down came to wish us happy New Year and started telling us he had seen strange orange lights earlier in the evening. Well I just thought I'd share this with you, we were very sober and whilst I don't want to make a fuss about it, we are all very baffled, that is the ten of us that witnessed it. It actually frightened the younger ones, so if you can shed any light we would be grateful. Thank you for your time.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi, I am from north east England and today the first of January 2009, 4 of us seen a large red object in the sky. On first glance thoughts were of a helicopter or plane. There was no noise from it, it was like a light bulb shape at the top, sometimes orangey red in colour. It moved overhead in one direction and we thought nothing of it other than a lovely red light. Then it moved in the opposite direction and we became curious. Couldn't make head nor tail of it. After 3 minutes of first spotting it we then seen another red light similar but looked nearer us! No noise,or beacon lights, no plane wings, with the closest object we did manage to catch a glimpse of a halo light at the top. Also same shape and colours as the other one.
The sky was quite clear, small clouds further up, and the objects then progressed along the sky slow then fast in various directions and then sort of went straight up until they looked out of sight behind far away clouds! Amazing sights. Me and my partner and 2 children seen this at 5.05pm 1st Jan 2009 in Shiremoor, Tyne and wear.England! We did manage to take a small video recording on a mobile phone.

Full Description of event/sighting: Walking home from our village pub a little after midnight following the New Year party, my wife and I stopped to admire some Christmas decorations on the houses at the bottom of the track leading up to our place. What seemed to be a Christmas light or firework came over the roof of one of the houses. It was like an orange lantern, (circular, but also, perhaps having some rectangular structure) gliding silently and steadily through a hazy sky in which only a few stars were visible. We are keen astronomers and spend a lot of time sky watching, so we know when something is unusual and this was definitely the case. In fact, I'd been doing some astrophotography earlier in the evening (Venus and the crescent moon) and I'd brought my camcorder to record a few songs by the featured band. I was therefore able to get about one and a half minutes on tape of the object's passage from a southerly direction - veering toward the north west.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was having problems getting my four year old to sleep last night because fireworks were being set off because of the New Year celebrations. So I gave in and put my lights off and myself and my four year old sat watching the fireworks from my living room window. As we were watching, I noticed an orange glow. It was small to start off with, but as it got higher in the sky it grew in size and got brighter. It came from the northeast direction of my window. I don't know what direction my window faces. Then a smaller light came up and this one grew in size as well, but not as big as the first one. They kind of half circled around each other and were two inches apart from the distance I was watching and it looked like they were dancing , it was very beautiful.
They were not traveling fast and they were quite slow. After a minute or so, the second one flew away into the distance, but I could still see the light, but it was very small. The larger one stayed there a bit longer then flew of in the same direction. At first I thought it was a helicopter as you get a lot in the west end of Paisley, but I opened my window and there was no noise, they were both silent. I think the first one was a dark shape with a light, but unsure if my eyes were playing tricks on me.
When the first light caught my attention, I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my phone and video taped it for about a minute and a half and took several pictures. When I looked at the pictures, one of the lights is in a boomerang kind of shape and glowing bright orange, but it's a really clear picture. The second one is a longer shape, but not as orange as the first one.
My son watched this going on with me and I said to my son, look at the lights dancing because it was such a beautiful sight to see and watch. He watched then turned around and said, Mum, close the window, don't let the orange lights in. This was caught on my video. The pictures I took from 0500 to 0700 this morning just after the bell are quite clear and I really don't know what to do with them. Could someone contact me so i know what to do.
I went onto your website at the back of two when I calmed my son down and finally got him to sleep, but I'm shaking now because someone else saw what I saw and have the pictures to prove it happening as well. I am quite skeptical, but do believe that we are not alone and I believe that I think there is something after we die. But this thing that has happened, has really got me. But unsure in what way.

(sighting was 2009) I saw the same exact sighting on 1st January, but 2009 at exact same time either he got the date wrong or it's happened again. These looked really high to me and there was three lights and they all went out at the same point of there destination, except one, which went straight up. I have never seen anything like it, nor did all my friends. Either it was strange awaiting some type of reply.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside with my partner, welcoming in New Year and watching fireworks over the rooftops nearby, when we noticed 3 large orange orbs flying towards us, high overhead, just inland of the sea, moving directly East to West. They moved at constant speed but in a clear triangle formation. They were large orbs or balls, and bright orange in colour. They appeared to be flying as high as usual commercial aircraft would over this area, estimate maybe 15,000ft, but with no sound or blinking of lights (we're both very familiar with various aircraft lights, living on flight-paths of Gatwick, Heathrow and a small local airport). These were much, much larger than aircraft lights, and much brighter, steady orange lights. Given the height they were at, they must have been of considerable size.
They reached a certain point in sky, still over the coastline, almost directly in line with the house, then seemed to shoot upwards and vanish one after another.
Several minutes later, another 3 appeared from same direction, and followed exactly the same sequence and triangle formation, reaching the same point in sky, in line with the house, then suddenly moved upwards and vanished.
I took a short video on the mobile phone, but it has not captured them anywhere near as clearly as could be seen with naked eye. I took a few still pictures also, but these have come out as showing the objects as white circles or disc shaped, and not as clear or bright as what we could see ourselves.
We couldn't take our eyes off them, even though we were freezing cold and would rather have gone back into the warm house, we stood there discussing what we had seen. My partner is very logical and analytical and tried to find a possible rational explanation but couldn't find any to fit what we saw.
We were still stood discussing it when another 3 appeared, and again they followed the same path and formation before moving upwards vertically and vanishing, one by one, in the same spot. Then a final one, travelling alone, and seemingly much brighter and larger than the previous ones flew over. This too disappeared upwards in same location.
There was no wind, and no logical explanation for the triangle formation, flight path nor the sudden upwards movement before vanishing. They were definitely not fireworks, and from the size, height, speed, flight path and formation (and sudden upwards movement before vanishing) they definitely weren't balloons, planes or helicopters. We did wonder if they could be something related with the military, but we are within commercial airspace here, and even then we could not work out what sort of military craft could disappear so suddenly like these things did, or move so silently.
We were both 100% sober (non-drinkers), nor are we taken to flights of fancy. My partner has never seen a UFO before. I've had one brief daylight UFO sighting in the past, witnessed by others, but am not a UFO spotter or anything of that ilk.
Later on, we joked about not going outside alone in case one of us was "beamed up", we were only joking about it, as neither of us is afraid of being outside in the dark or anything like that, however, the fact is we were both a bit spooked by it. There was a strange and eerie feel about the whole thing. We both felt (independently of each other) almost as if maybe we had been spotted, or had been watched by these things, before they disappeared in the same spot above the house. We each had a sense that maybe they were watching us as much as we were watching them! Sounds strange, but true.
It's certainly given us something to ponder in 2009!
There may be plenty of other people who saw them? It was New Year, so quite likely a few folks were outside watching fireworks? Would be good to know if anyone else saw these unidentified flying orange lights.

In first instance I spotted two steady orange lights one slightly brighter then the other hanging in the sky to the west while walking in Black Boy Road, west, towards the center of town. At that time I took them to be stars or planets which were bright enough to shine through the cloud cover, and in doing so had taken on the orangey colour.
Within a couple of minutes I again looked upwards, this time only one was visible, it was moving slow and steady from north too south across the sky at an angle of maybe 50 degrees, at which point I pointed this out to my girlfriend, we both then watched as this lasted for something under a minute before it appeared to stop complete, it then changed direction heading into the west, it appeared to both accelerate and fade before disappearing completely.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were enjoying New Years eve round my friends. After seeing out 12:00am and celebrated New Year we proceeded to watch the fireworks off the balcony (my friend lives top floor on a apartment block) after watching the fireworks we started playing on the WII Fit. Then around 1.30am ish my friend jumped up out of his seat shouting what the hell is that? Myself, my girlfriend, my friend and his girlfriend all jumped up an rushed to the window, before I got to the window, thoughts were rushing through my head that it was a meteor, but then when I got to the window I could see 3 objects, which seemed to just be hovering they were all about the same height at a estimate I'd say 35,000 - 50,000ft.
They were higher than a aeroplane, they were also at a estimate about a mile away from each other, so they were all the same height and evenly spaced in the sky, after been there 4 1-2 minutes they started glowing bright orange and lit the sky, then 1 shot off very fast, then the next, then finally the last. After they'd all gone we all looked at each other in disbelief, none of us are into UFO's, we were also gutted that even having 4 camera/videophones and also a digital camera to hand none of us took any pictures or video's. So telling people the next day as you can imagine was hard as we have no evidence but we all no what we saw! If any has any info or any other sightings that they'd like to share please do. another thing was I can't believe what I saw, I've never seen anything like it before I didn't no who to report it to? Full Description of event/sighting: Went outside to watch fireworks after bringing in the bells. I looked towards the east of Paisley where most of the fireworks were going up, as I turned to go back inside, I noticed coming from a north direction a glowing orange round shape going across the sky in a curve path towards the west there were 2 of these objects a fare distance apart going in the same direction, same curved path, same altitude. There was no noise from these objects just an orange glow. Traffic control at Glasgow Airport must have seen these objects as they would have been west of the airfield.

Spring Hill, Florida Orange Object (Pictures)

I was in Key West Florida with family and witnessed the same thing at the same time. We took two pictures, it looked like a rocket or a craft with orange flame, very bright. It moved from one side of the sky to the other, very high, about the speed of a satellite. Please do not publish my name, I thought that the pictures might be of interest. I have seen shuttle launches and rockets, this looked like a rocket but no sound. It moved at the speed of a rocket but disappeared after crossing the skyline. Kind Regards.

Barnstaple , North Devon England A Red Colored Light

Hi Brian, About 20 minutes ago at approx 7.50pm , our dog was asking to go out the back, so I stood just outside the back door waiting for him to finish relieving himself as it's very cold here this evening, we've had a lot of frost and ice recently. As I was standing there, I glanced up into the sky , it's a very crisp, clear, cloudless sky tonight, all the stars are bright and twinkling, one of the stars caught my eye as it started to pulse very bright red becoming bigger then smaller (our dog had finished by now and returned inside the house, I'm still standing there freezing. Anyways, I wanted to go in to get my camera, but thought that if I did, it would be gone by the time I got back, so I just kept watching it.
I couldn't make-out any actual shape, it just looked like a red star amongst the rest, it then started moving slowly and purposefully from east to a westerly direction, it was slow, quite low by now and totally sound-less, nothing , very smooth the way it was travelling across the sky. Size-wise, about the same size as the stars , but got bigger as it appeared to come down to a lower altitude and moved across the sky as I've already described. I stood there for about (at a guess) 3 or 4 minutes watching as it pulsed a very bright red .
Could it have been some kind of military aircraft ?, but wouldn't there have been sound with it ?. The weather conditions here this evening are crystal clear, dry, cloud-less, very still and quiet evening as I've already said. I thought I just let you know . With best wishes.

Cars stopped on the highway briefly to watch it go past. It was very bright and very large. About the width of two vehicles.

Description: Really clear night, was on pebbly beach looking over ocean. I saw out to sea a triangle of lights appear rotating green, red, orange thought was some strange boat but then it flew across the water at great speed in seconds, then it shot into sky like a flare. Sat there, then came back down on angle to its original spot forming like a triangle in the sky, then it flew across again like it was going to do it again and again. It shot into the sky but this time it sat there for a little longer then shot of on angle out to space and disappeared. This happened in 1988 when I was 15, never reported it thought no one would listen then. 10yrs later I heard on local radio of a milkman that reported the same triangle of lights out to see doing the same moves. I only ever told a few friends and still did not report as people would think I copied and not seen it first. Reason for me saying now as per my other post what seen last night, think I should tell my story in case any one interested thanks.

Opelika, Alabama Bright White Light Changes Color And Moves Overtop Witness

Full Description of event/sighting: While driving home one night, I noticed a bright white light to my left. There were trees between the light and where I was driving. I thought nothing of it as it maybe a plane or helicopter. Approximately two miles later as I was slowing to make a turn on the road I live on, the white light drifted ahead of me. The light was around, two hundred feet above the road. Being a complete idiot, I decided to rapidly flash my headlights from bright to dim hoping they would beam me up, as they say. The white light instantly was extinguished, leaving two small red lights. The two red lights then began slowly drifting away from my position. Thinking that was it, I began to make my turn. The lights began to turn in my direction. Once again I began signaling, alternating between bright and dim with my headlights. Instantly, a white beam of light shot down, illuminating the road ahead and the craft moving toward me.
Just before the craft drifted over my car, the light was turned off. I got out and watched as it drifted directly over me. It looked, in the moonless night like an airplane that was about five times the size of my car. It was noiseless and drifting. From the first sighting of the light behind trees, to light catching my car, it was about one and a half minutes. I had been traveling between fifty and sixty miles an hour. The craft maintained my speed, then hovered, then drifted away. With 100 percent confidence, the craft was no helicopter.

NE El Paso, Texas UFO Appeared To Be 2 To 3 Miles In Length

Full Description of event/sighting: I was jumping on a trampoline in the back yard of my friend's house on Mt. Scott Dr, El Paso TX when we saw a very large object approaching from the west direction from over the Franklin and Trans Mountains. It was so large that when the first part of this object reach over head it seemed as though the end was just clearing the mountains. I just recently looked at the satellite view to get some kind of dimensional perspective and according to the scale used from the Google imagery, this object could have been anywhere form 2 to 3 miles in length. It's width appeared to be just 1/4 of its length. The first thing we noticed was the numerous amount of blinking lights moving toward us in unison motion. Then I was just completely awed by its sheer size as it approached. I told my friend to run in the house to get his mom's camcorder to record it, so he ran in and I was completely transfixed and couldn't take my eyes off of it.
As it passed overhead, smaller lights became apparent in between the first viewable lights and I couldn't help but to think that this thing was nothing short of a small movable city. El Paso's elevation is about 3800ft and 5200ft is that of the Mountains so it's obvious that it wasn't traveling lower than 1400ft but from my perspective, it wasn't traveling that high over the mountains. I could feel a very low frequency of noise, similar to that of being in a house and feeling and/or hearing a car pulling up in the driveway; however, this was a much more unique experience which I cannot readily describe. My friend couldn't find his mom's camcorder on time to get any footage as this object passed directly over my head into Biggs Field/McGreggor Range in Ft. Bliss territory where the lights on the base finally drowned out the lights of this massive object.
I really expected to see it all over the news the next morning because we could not have been the only ones to see this ! I was never mentioned anywhere. I know that it was far, too big to go unnoticed. This was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my entire life and is perhaps the reason why I chose to pursue my career in Mathematics and Physics. Not for a single moment during this experience was I scared and after those moments I was sure that we are not alone. Perhaps its was an alien vessel or perhaps we have acquired achievements further to that, understandably, allowed into mainstream understanding, in collaboration with distant neighbors perhaps? This, mainstream society isn't ready for and secrecy may also be due to the negative consequences of bringing attention of something of this magnitude into the mainstream. This may also explain why my favorite show is Stargate Atlantis (A show about a flying city). In fact, while typing this, I realize that this testimony contradicts my beliefs that the world couldn't handle this type of reality because we can't even handle our own differences in our own planet. If I believe this, then why am I typing this for anyone just to see.

Description: I was with my boyfriend on top of Buck Mountain. A couple we were friends with had purchased a lot to build a house. In the meantime they lived in a mobile home and camped on the lot. They were away for the week so my boyfriend and I offered to stay there and help take care of their bazillion cats and dog.
Around 8 or 9pm, we were outside of the mobile home trying to make a bonfire in the hearth our friends had set up. Now I have to specify: this is an island I was living on at the time --- a very small island, a place where I also grew up and strange things often happen here. Most of what I have seen here in the past I was usually able to explain it away somehow and forget about it. This I cannot explain no matter how hard I try.
I looked above me and a little to the left because I suddenly heard a sound. I do not know how to describe this sound but it was so soft that had I been in the city or a more populated area I would not have heard it. There was a huge sphere and it was gliding across the sky.

Full Description of event/sighting: I had just finished my exercising and looked in my backyard when I saw a very large spaceship hovering. It was round in shape with multi colored lights (5-6) and they were very large. It was so close, I could almost touch it. Huge is the only way to describe this phenomenon and of course I could not believe my eyes."Crazy" came to mind as I had just lost my husband/heart attack in June. Also a hoax or trick and a very convincing video came to mind. It just hovered, there was no sound heard and I had to turn away as it was just staying there. I watched it for approximately 10 minutes just sitting and hovering and at first I was not afraid until I realized that it wasn't going away. I am just searching online now to find out if anyone else seen it. So far I am the only witness and again there was no sound coming from this so called craft or whatever it was.
I am still trying to recover and still trying to explain to certain people/friends. They haven't disowned me and there is some belief also. I was so mesmerized and somewhat amazed that I should have grabbed my camera, because to describe it now is difficult and the timing of it etc. The location and size of this thing is like out of a comic book and if I could draw or paint, that would help. I have moved from that area of the city since then and do not desire to go back. But seriously, this was no joke as I seen it a couple of months later in the sky while walking around the neighborhood and later in the early morning, approximately 1:00am. The description was the same, only higher and a little less distinguishable than the previous sighting that I encountered. A friend of mine is saying that maybe a possible abduction may have taken place to me unknowingly? I still feel the same and just mesmerized and absolutely amazed.

Eagan, Minnesota USA Single Lights Then Triangular Shaped UFO

Description: I am not completely sure of the dates on which these sighting happened but I did my best to remember. I believe I was on my Christmas vacation my freshman year of high school. I had gone to bed that night like always around 11:00 pm. I woke up a little after 2:00 am and everyone in my house was asleep. I'll describe how my room is situated to give you an idea of what I was looking at and how.
So setting, I live on Blackhawk Lake Park basically. My house is a few hundred yards from the lake itself and it overlooks the lake as well as the path around the lake. My bedroom is on the East side of the house however the lake is on the West. Every night I slept with the door wide open, opening towards the West. Also the wall on the West side of the house is mostly made up of large windows. My bed is situated so my head is North and my feet are South. Now when I sleep I always face West looking out the door and through the 'wall of windows'. Looking out this 'wall of windows' from my second floor bedroom I can see just to the right of the lake above the park entrance.
This night at a little after 2:00 I woke up laying on my side as usual facing the West. As I opened my eyes I saw a bright yellow/white light above the park entrance. They were above the tree-line but relatively high. The first night I only saw a single light traveling from left to right however its path was very sparatic, moving vertically up and down very fast. I got up out of bed to watch it but for some strange reason I did not feel any fear or impulse to grab a camera or my parents or anything. I simply just wanted to watch it. I do remember feeling afraid that if I did move to get a camera that either when I got back it would be gone or it would see me and get scared and leave. So I stood and watched until the light dimmed and left. And again I wasn't afraid of it at all and so I went calmly back to bed. Then a few nights later the same thing happened.
It was again around 2:00 am when I woke up and saw the light. Only this time there were three lights dancing up and down in the sky. There were moving, at what seemed random, up and down. Then they began to form a triangle in the sky above the trees. It was no where near an equilateral triangle. It "pointed" slightly up wards to the South. After that my memory fails me, however I again recall a feeling of calm easiness. I had no urge to grab a camera even on the
second occurrence. It has never happened since. And I have never heard of anyone claiming anything similar.

Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia Bright Object Moving Diagonally Downward

Description: I was driving from Hervey Bay to Bundaberg, it was approx: 15 minutes outside of Kentucky Bluegrass. I noticed a very bright star in the sky that was moving diagonally downward to the right and then to the left. About 5 minutes later an object was hovering behind the treetops in front of me. It was bean-shaped, and had two beams of light like search lights that were circling over the ground and my car. It had other little white fairy-like lights all over it and bigger round white lights on the underneath side of it.
The object was completely silent and hovered above me for about 10 minutes. Another car turned onto the highway behind me and the object went over my car, I continued driving and lost view of it. I could see in my rear vision mirror that the car behind me had stopped. About 5 minutes later the car sped up behind me and stayed right behind me the rest of the drive.

I thought it was three seagulls at first just gliding by against the dark sky but after a closer look I could tell they were just lights as bright as stars moving in a erratic formation. This continued for about 3 or 4 minutes then they stopped and headed in a easterly direction into the brighter lit skies over Brampton. I live near Hwy#10 and Bovaird. I yelled for my wife to come out and she saw them for about 1 or 2 minutes before they blended in with the brighter lit skies. Did anyone else see this?

South Shields, Tyne & Wear, England UK A Bright Yellow/Orange Light

Description: I actually have a number of recent sightings to tell about (since July). I'll work backwards from the most recent.
Today (27/10/08) looking from my dining room window which faces towards the river Tyne (north) I saw a bright yellow/orange light, fairly low in the sky off in the distance over to the west which I at first took to be the front light of an aeroplane (planes often follow the course of the Tyne out over the North Sea before circling back inland to land at Newcastle airport).
The light was getting brighter then dimming occasionally. However I noticed it was not actually getting any closer and I then thought maybe it was a helicopter hovering. After 10 minutes it had not moved. Nor had it changed luminosity for a good while either. A helicopter would not remain so perfectly still facing one direction for so long.
After 15 - 20 mins I took a look from a bedroom window and watched as a long thin cloud passed in front of the light. It was totally obscured and obviously quite some distance away in fact. I expected to see the object re-emerge a few minutes later after the cloud had past but when the cloud was gone so was the light.
This is similar to an incident I experienced two weeks earlier on a Saturday afternoon. I was outside unloading shopping from the car (about 1pm) when I looked up and noticed a plane coming in to land (following the Tyne out to sea as usual). I noticed an elongated black shape to the left of the plane which at first glance I took to be a bird with outstretched wings. However when I looked again the shape (actually more cigar shaped) was travelling north and after a few seconds disappeared behind some latticed clouds meaning it was much higher up and larger than I at first thought. I watched expecting to see it appear through numerous gaps in the clouds but it never emerged. I waited a good 2 or 3 minutes for it to clear the clouds completely but it wasn't to be seen anywhere. It's like it had darted behind the clouds for cover. It would have to have been really quite as the clouds were fairly high.
I've actually been watching the skies quite frequently lately since a more compelling occurrence happened back in July. I was in my parents garden with my 6 year old son and it was around 11am one Tuesday. It was a really warm, bright sunny, cloudless day. Glancing upwards I noticed 3 dark orbs emerge over the roofs of houses further up the street. At first I thought they might be balloons and they seemed to rotate and glint occasionally in the sun meaning they were actually metallic in colour not black at all. They flew over in a very stable formation at a very uniform speed. They ascended, leveled out and then changed course, heading out towards the coast, again without breaking formation even slightly. I was the only one to witness this but I did mention it to my (very skeptical) father who tried to say it was probably some kind of gliding birds migrating that were further away than they appeared.
However the very next day I was in my parents garden again but it was probably about 4pm and this time my father was there. The very same orbs (2 only at first) reappeared from exactly the same direction. I couldn't believe it. We watched as they made the same accent but this time they separated and on reaching a certain height split of in three different directions. My father called my mother out and she spotted the third one ion a totally different part of the sky heading on its own different course.
On both occasions the orbs were travelling at a very even and fairly unhurried speed before gaining height and picking up pace therein.
This is the first time I have ever witnessed these type of things but I have been fascinated that people have been reporting the same/similar all over the UK/world this year especially.
The pictures taken by another earlier poster on this site at Tynemouth could well be the same thing I witnessed in my parents garden but I was much closer.

Description: Went out to take garbage really clear night so always look up then just in front of me still far away a bright flash like something exploded in the sky I could then see a small light coming towards me i was looking east over the sea as it came towards me every minute there was this big flash and it was closer each time the ball of light would fade like a dimming light but not flash like a plane it then flash this bright explosion again then I lost it for a few seconds only. Then the explosion of light happened again but it had change direction headed north and had gone far from its last point only in few seconds the speed & quick change in course I don't think a plane could do this (don't know) the light flashed one last time and was gone I called my wife by the time she came out was all over. One silly thing maybe but we have wind chimes they were not moving no wind but when light appeared they were blowing making noise
when light was gone they stopped and did not blow again.

Hi, I believe I saw a UFO tonight, 28th October, at around 9.45. I was in Leyland at the time and shouted my friends over to see it, they all saw this bright orange light, much bigger than a star moving across the sky. It then began increasing and decreasing height as it gradually got into the distance then dropped from the sky whilst fading out. I did manage to take a video on my mobile phone which only lasts for 4 seconds and doesn't really show the brightness or
movement of the object. I just wondered if anyone else had seen this and if there was any rational explanation.

Hi, I was in the garden of my mums house in Featherstone West Yorkshire last night at around 10pm - 10.30pm having a cigarette. I was looking up at the sky because it was a clear night when from behind me appearing from behind my mums house and coming from the south east I saw a large object that was a dull orange in colour fly over head disappearing over the opposite houses, it took 4 - 5 seconds to travel this distance in total silence.
I've seen helicopters, planes, satellites, shooting stars and the space station before and this was none of them.
It appeared to be lit from inside or reflecting light the orange colour looked mottled, I couldn't make out the shape because of the coloring and the speed it was travelling.
To explain the size I would have to say if I hold my hand at arms length with my thumb stuck out it was slightly bigger than my thumb nail.
I've got to say I've never seen anything like it before, if you have had anymore reports similar to this please reply to my e-mail.

As the ball got further away from me it appeared to decrease in size and the colour of the ball became less intense. As the ball appeared to be above Barnsley - all

The first three grouped together and the other two followed behind. I ran to the end of the road and clearly watched them travel across the sky for about three minutes and then we lost sight of them. My son was with me and he witnessed the sighting as well.

Description: We were stood looking out of the back door when the object came into view and very quickly and silently 'flew' from an east to west direction. It travelled at quite a speed similar to a jet but with NO sound or other flashing lights. (live near LBA so flights at night are frequent and common and moments later a plane departed with lights and sound) The broken cloud was quite high, with large gaps and object flew at a steady rate and level under the cloud. It very quickly disappeared from view over towards the Wilsden, Cullingworth direction.

We did see the lantern video, and we feel it definitely was not this we saw. It was far too large and the orange glow was very bright, we got an idea on size, as not long after an aircraft coming out off Leeds and Bradford Airport followed in a familiar flight path, eg height and direction.

Description: After getting out of my car with the family, noticed a very bright gold cone shaped object high above us. I have never seen anything like this before and it certainly was not an aircraft or firework etc, as were looking at it for at least 5 minutes as it hovered. It seemed to have a gold X underneath it and then just shot off at a very high speed and disappeared. As soon as it disappeared another one exactly the same came over from the same direction and also eventually disappeared. I caught the second UFO on my camera video phone for evidence but this is not very clear but you can make the gold UFO out though. I do feel what we saw was a UFO as I cannot explain what it was but had a great deal of time to look at it, and it moved very, very fast.

Fremont, California A Glowing Green Chrome Object

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving North on highway 680 through the Fremont, California area north of the Washington District, ascending the first 1/3 of the long southern flank of the Sunol grade, traveling at freeway speeds with the flow. I looked over at a very fast moving object doing an entry burn7+Mach. Looked like the space shuttle with far less mass if you were to check out the streamer. The object was in my view for 2-3 seconds and first was seen to be a glowing green chrome surrounding an intense bright white (like aluminum or barium burning) tail within the first 1/3, the nose of the streak appeared dwarf sun red and changed to dark as deceleration was accomplished.
Just a little lfivefun? This report by me is uncanny when it comes to the similarities of the report from that couple on June of 2008 and November 19, 2008 to this sighting. The object was heading in a polar down slope, west on entry and the tail appeared to be about 25 miles long, with a close-to-the-ground arc aspect pretty flat 18% slope. The end of the trajectory then appeared to be over central Santa Clara Valley. I only heard one brief report of it between two newscasters on same AM radio. Possibly KGO or KCBS. The time was shortly after civil twilight, probably 6:00pm or 6:30pm approximately.

The witness is talking about a report which was sent to me on November 18, 2008 and newspapers which were written as other folks saw the same thing. Full Description of event/sighting: I recently reported a sighting on September 18, 2008 of a bright white unidentifiable light over Neguac, New Brunswick. This sighting was witnessed by many others and had even made an article in the local newspaper, L'Acadie Nouvelle. However, this prior report is not the only reason I am writing today. A couple of nights ago my spouse and I (who was one of the witnesses in Neguac) were driving in Moncton. At approximately 2200 hours (10:00pm) we stopped at a stop sign and I happened to glance up and out the windshield. Directly in front of us (but far away) I saw a bright white oblong ball of light below the cloud cover, moving at a very slow speed across the horizon. I grabbed my partner's arm and pointed, saying "that looks just like what we saw in Neguac!". He saw the object as well, and said it was probably a plane, as there is an airport nearby. Just as the words were leaving his mouth we saw the object continue to move horizontally towards the East, then suddenly stop. It was motionless for about five seconds, then started to fade away. It then suddenly became very bright again and took off at incredible speed to the East, disappearing from sight within what seemed like only a second.
We both just looked at each other, unable to believe we had seen the same bright unidentifiable light. There is no way that we could have mistaken this for an airplane, we saw plenty of regular air traffic before and after the sighting; this object does not resemble aircraft in any way, nor does it's motion reflect that of any aircraft I have ever seen.

Full Description of event/sighting: Early at 6:00pm there were two extremely bright lights within our atmosphere and they had small groups of organized craft of some sort, with blinking lights flying in formations and breaking off with each other all around these massively bright "star-like" anomalies. They are not on any star chart. Later in the night I and several witnesses were seeing more different, less star-like UFOs. These had blinking lights which were green and red. I went over to my neighbors to get binoculars, we then saw an extremely bright light blinking purple and green (intensely bright and flashing) hovering over Buffalo. As we looked, we noticed there were 3 blinking light forming a huge massive triangle over the sky.
As we were looking at the triangle, beside it a super orange bright light ripped through the sky. It is still out there right now. I have been seeing these in different spots in the sky every single night and if you are in the Fort Erie area peak outside and pay attention to the sky. It's time people started paying attention to what's happening around here. Massive UFO activity every night now for 2 months straight and it's time someone started documenting this.

As we went across the street to his neighbors, you could see a bright UFO over Buffalo and then later we noticed there was actually 3 forming a giant triangle that was bigger than Buffalo easily by circumference. Also an orange light quickly moved across the sky. We watched the intense sparkling light for over an hour.

At approximately 21:45 the three of us saw 3 glowing lights float past the front window as we were watching a DVD. We jumped up and ran to the window as the objects were large, bright and hovering over the house across the road. I would say the objects were about the size of large helicopters. They were Oval shaped and were flying quite low. They moved in a strange gliding manner, and moved very gracefully. It seemed that they did not rely upon wind or thermal to float or glide as there was no breeze, it was a cold night, no clouds and the orb like craft could change direction and speed at will. The first thing I
looked for was flashing lights, there were none, definitely not planes or helicopters. The three objects glowed an orange glow, like a candle inside a balloon, only a lot larger. I considered for a moment that they were balloons, but there was no basket, and unlike air balloons these objects could clearly change direction and choose which direction they could move in.
I noticed there was absolutely no noise at all. The Glowing objects moved very gracefully and the three of us later agreed that there seemed to be a 'feeling' of calm about them. They seemed more energetic, or biological than technology. My friend suggested they were like luminescent jelly fish, but without the tails, and they could change direction. They flew in formation for a while, first in a straight line, then moved apart as they moved overhead, and then back together again, then apart and so on. We stood outside, watched them pass over head, and continued to watch as they gently flew down the road over the houses. The sighting lasted for about 7 minutes until they were too small to follow with the naked eye. Very interesting. Would love to know about other sightings of
them. Someone else must of seen them!

Description: Really clear night, was on pebbly beach looking over ocean. I saw out to sea a triangle of lights appear rotating green, red, orange thought was some strange boat but then it flew across the water at great speed in seconds, then it shot into sky like a flare. Sat there, then came back down on angle to its original spot forming like a triangle in the sky, then it flew across again like it was going to do it again and again. It shot into the sky but this time it sat there for a little longer then shot of on angle out to space and disappeared. This happened in 1988 when I was 15, never reported it thought no one would listen then. 10yrs later I heard on local radio of a milkman that reported the same triangle of lights out to see doing the same moves. I only ever told a few friends and still did not report as people would think I copied and not seen it first. Reason for me saying now as per my other post what seen last night, think I should tell my story in case any one interested thanks.

Full Description of event/sighting: While driving home one night, I noticed a bright white light to my left. There were trees between the light and where I was driving. I thought nothing of it as it maybe a plane or helicopter. Approximately two miles later as I was slowing to make a turn on the road I live on, the white light drifted ahead of me. The light was around, two hundred feet above the road. Being a complete idiot, I decided to rapidly flash my headlights from bright to dim hoping they would beam me up, as they say. The white light instantly was extinguished, leaving two small red lights. The two red lights then began slowly drifting away from my position. Thinking that was it, I began to make my turn. The lights began to turn in my direction. Once again I began signaling, alternating between bright and dim with my headlights. Instantly, a white beam of light shot down, illuminating the road ahead and the craft moving toward me.
Just before the craft drifted over my car, the light was turned off. I got out and watched as it drifted directly over me. It looked, in the moonless night like an airplane that was about five times the size of my car. It was noiseless and drifting. From the first sighting of the light behind trees, to light catching my car, it was about one and a half minutes. I had been traveling between fifty and sixty miles an hour. The craft maintained my speed, then hovered, then drifted away. With 100 percent confidence, the craft was no helicopter.

NE El Paso, Texas UFO Appeared To Be 2 To 3 Miles In Length

Full Description of event/sighting: I was jumping on a trampoline in the back yard of my friend's house on Mt. Scott Dr, El Paso TX when we saw a very large object approaching from the west direction from over the Franklin and Trans Mountains. It was so large that when the first part of this object reach over head it seemed as though the end was just clearing the mountains. I just recently looked at the satellite view to get some kind of dimensional perspective and according to the scale used from the Google imagery, this object could have been anywhere form 2 to 3 miles in length. It's width appeared to be just 1/4 of its length. The first thing we noticed was the numerous amount of blinking lights moving toward us in unison motion. Then I was just completely awed by its sheer size as it approached. I told my friend to run in the house to get his mom's camcorder to record it, so he ran in and I was completely transfixed and couldn't take my eyes off of it.
As it passed overhead, smaller lights became apparent in between the first viewable lights and I couldn't help but to think that this thing was nothing short of a small movable city. El Paso's elevation is about 3800ft and 5200ft is that of the Mountains so it's obvious that it wasn't traveling lower than 1400ft but from my perspective, it wasn't traveling that high over the mountains. I could feel a very low frequency of noise, similar to that of being in a house and feeling and/or hearing a car pulling up in the driveway; however, this was a much more unique experience which I cannot readily describe. My friend couldn't find his mom's camcorder on time to get any footage as this object passed directly over my head into Biggs Field/McGreggor Range in Ft. Bliss territory where the lights on the base finally drowned out the lights of this massive object.
I really expected to see it all over the news the next morning because we could not have been the only ones to see this ! I was never mentioned anywhere. I know that it was far, too big to go unnoticed. This was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my entire life and is perhaps the reason why I chose to pursue my career in Mathematics and Physics. Not for a single moment during this experience was I scared and after those moments I was sure that we are not alone. Perhaps its was an alien vessel or perhaps we have acquired achievements further to that, understandably, allowed into mainstream understanding, in collaboration with distant neighbors perhaps? This, mainstream society isn't ready for and secrecy may also be due to the negative consequences of bringing attention of something of this magnitude into the mainstream. This may also explain why my favorite show is Stargate Atlantis (A show about a flying city). In fact, while typing this, I realize that this testimony contradicts my beliefs that the world couldn't handle this type of reality because we can't even handle our own differences in our own planet. If I believe this, then why am I typing this for anyone just to see.

Description: I was with my boyfriend on top of Buck Mountain. A couple we were friends with had purchased a lot to build a house. In the meantime they lived in a mobile home and camped on the lot. They were away for the week so my boyfriend and I offered to stay there and help take care of their bazillion cats and dog.
Around 8 or 9pm, we were outside of the mobile home trying to make a bonfire in the hearth our friends had set up. Now I have to specify: this is an island I was living on at the time --- a very small island, a place where I also grew up and strange things often happen here. Most of what I have seen here in the past I was usually able to explain it away somehow and forget about it. This I cannot explain no matter how hard I try.
I looked above me and a little to the left because I suddenly heard a sound. I do not know how to describe this sound but it was so soft that had I been in the city or a more populated area I would not have heard it. There was a huge sphere and it was gliding across the sky.

Full Description of event/sighting: I had just finished my exercising and looked in my backyard when I saw a very large spaceship hovering. It was round in shape with multi colored lights (5-6) and they were very large. It was so close, I could almost touch it. Huge is the only way to describe this phenomenon and of course I could not believe my eyes."Crazy" came to mind as I had just lost my husband/heart attack in June. Also a hoax or trick and a very convincing video came to mind. It just hovered, there was no sound heard and I had to turn away as it was just staying there. I watched it for approximately 10 minutes just sitting and hovering and at first I was not afraid until I realized that it wasn't going away. I am just searching online now to find out if anyone else seen it. So far I am the only witness and again there was no sound coming from this so called craft or whatever it was.
I am still trying to recover and still trying to explain to certain people/friends. They haven't disowned me and there is some belief also. I was so mesmerized and somewhat amazed that I should have grabbed my camera, because to describe it now is difficult and the timing of it etc. The location and size of this thing is like out of a comic book and if I could draw or paint, that would help. I have moved from that area of the city since then and do not desire to go back. But seriously, this was no joke as I seen it a couple of months later in the sky while walking around the neighborhood and later in the early morning, approximately 1:00am. The description was the same, only higher and a little less distinguishable than the previous sighting that I encountered. A friend of mine is saying that maybe a possible abduction may have taken place to me unknowingly? I still feel the same and just mesmerized and absolutely amazed.

Eagan, Minnesota USA Single Lights Then Triangular Shaped UFO

Description: I am not completely sure of the dates on which these sighting happened but I did my best to remember. I believe I was on my Christmas vacation my freshman year of high school. I had gone to bed that night like always around 11:00 pm. I woke up a little after 2:00 am and everyone in my house was asleep. I'll describe how my room is situated to give you an idea of what I was looking at and how.
So setting, I live on Blackhawk Lake Park basically. My house is a few hundred yards from the lake itself and it overlooks the lake as well as the path around the lake. My bedroom is on the East side of the house however the lake is on the West. Every night I slept with the door wide open, opening towards the West. Also the wall on the West side of the house is mostly made up of large windows. My bed is situated so my head is North and my feet are South. Now when I sleep I always face West looking out the door and through the 'wall of windows'. Looking out this 'wall of windows' from my second floor bedroom I can see just to the right of the lake above the park entrance.
This night at a little after 2:00 I woke up laying on my side as usual facing the West. As I opened my eyes I saw a bright yellow/white light above the park entrance. They were above the tree-line but relatively high. The first night I only saw a single light traveling from left to right however its path was very sparatic, moving vertically up and down very fast. I got up out of bed to watch it but for some strange reason I did not feel any fear or impulse to grab a camera or my parents or anything. I simply just wanted to watch it. I do remember feeling afraid that if I did move to get a camera that either when I got back it would be gone or it would see me and get scared and leave. So I stood and watched until the light dimmed and left. And again I wasn't afraid of it at all and so I went calmly back to bed. Then a few nights later the same thing happened.
It was again around 2:00 am when I woke up and saw the light. Only this time there were three lights dancing up and down in the sky. There were moving, at what seemed random, up and down. Then they began to form a triangle in the sky above the trees. It was no where near an equilateral triangle. It "pointed" slightly up wards to the South. After that my memory fails me, however I again recall a feeling of calm easiness. I had no urge to grab a camera even on the
second occurrence. It has never happened since. And I have never heard of anyone claiming anything similar.

Description: I was driving from Hervey Bay to Bundaberg, it was approx: 15 minutes outside of Kentucky Bluegrass. I noticed a very bright star in the sky that was moving diagonally downward to the right and then to the left. About 5 minutes later an object was hovering behind the treetops in front of me. It was bean-shaped, and had two beams of light like search lights that were circling over the ground and my car. It had other little white fairy-like lights all over it and bigger round white lights on the underneath side of it.
The object was completely silent and hovered above me for about 10 minutes. Another car turned onto the highway behind me and the object went over my car, I continued driving and lost view of it. I could see in my rear vision mirror that the car behind me had stopped. About 5 minutes later the car sped up behind me and stayed right behind me the rest of the drive.

I thought it was three seagulls at first just gliding by against the dark sky but after a closer look I could tell they were just lights as bright as stars moving in a erratic formation. This continued for about 3 or 4 minutes then they stopped and headed in a easterly direction into the brighter lit skies over Brampton. I live near Hwy#10 and Bovaird. I yelled for my wife to come out and she saw them for about 1 or 2 minutes before they blended in with the brighter lit skies. Did anyone else see this?

Description: I actually have a number of recent sightings to tell about (since July). I'll work backwards from the most recent.
Today (27/10/08) looking from my dining room window which faces towards the river Tyne (north) I saw a bright yellow/orange light, fairly low in the sky off in the distance over to the west which I at first took to be the front light of an aeroplane (planes often follow the course of the Tyne out over the North Sea before circling back inland to land at Newcastle airport).
The light was getting brighter then dimming occasionally. However I noticed it was not actually getting any closer and I then thought maybe it was a helicopter hovering. After 10 minutes it had not moved. Nor had it changed luminosity for a good while either. A helicopter would not remain so perfectly still facing one direction for so long.
After 15 - 20 mins I took a look from a bedroom window and watched as a long thin cloud passed in front of the light. It was totally obscured and obviously quite some distance away in fact. I expected to see the object re-emerge a few minutes later after the cloud had past but when the cloud was gone so was the light.
This is similar to an incident I experienced two weeks earlier on a Saturday afternoon. I was outside unloading shopping from the car (about 1pm) when I looked up and noticed a plane coming in to land (following the Tyne out to sea as usual). I noticed an elongated black shape to the left of the plane which at first glance I took to be a bird with outstretched wings. However when I looked again the shape (actually more cigar shaped) was travelling north and after a few seconds disappeared behind some latticed clouds meaning it was much higher up and larger than I at first thought. I watched expecting to see it appear through numerous gaps in the clouds but it never emerged. I waited a good 2 or 3 minutes for it to clear the clouds completely but it wasn't to be seen anywhere. It's like it had darted behind the clouds for cover. It would have to have been really quite as the clouds were fairly high.
I've actually been watching the skies quite frequently lately since a more compelling occurrence happened back in July. I was in my parents garden with my 6 year old son and it was around 11am one Tuesday. It was a really warm, bright sunny, cloudless day. Glancing upwards I noticed 3 dark orbs emerge over the roofs of houses further up the street. At first I thought they might be balloons and they seemed to rotate and glint occasionally in the sun meaning they were actually metallic in colour not black at all. They flew over in a very stable formation at a very uniform speed. They ascended, leveled out and then changed course, heading out towards the coast, again without breaking formation even slightly. I was the only one to witness this but I did mention it to my (very skeptical) father who tried to say it was probably some kind of gliding birds migrating that were further away than they appeared.
However the very next day I was in my parents garden again but it was probably about 4pm and this time my father was there. The very same orbs (2 only at first) reappeared from exactly the same direction. I couldn't believe it. We watched as they made the same accent but this time they separated and on reaching a certain height split of in three different directions. My father called my mother out and she spotted the third one ion a totally different part of the sky heading on its own different course.
On both occasions the orbs were travelling at a very even and fairly unhurried speed before gaining height and picking up pace therein.
This is the first time I have ever witnessed these type of things but I have been fascinated that people have been reporting the same/similar all over the UK/world this year especially.
The pictures taken by another earlier poster on this site at Tynemouth could well be the same thing I witnessed in my parents garden but I was much closer.

Description: Went out to take garbage really clear night so always look up then just in front of me still far away a bright flash like something exploded in the sky I could then see a small light coming towards me i was looking east over the sea as it came towards me every minute there was this big flash and it was closer each time the ball of light would fade like a dimming light but not flash like a plane it then flash this bright explosion again then I lost it for a few seconds only. Then the explosion of light happened again but it had change direction headed north and had gone far from its last point only in few seconds the speed & quick change in course I don't think a plane could do this (don't know) the light flashed one last time and was gone I called my wife by the time she came out was all over. One silly thing maybe but we have wind chimes they were not moving no wind but when light appeared they were blowing making noise
when light was gone they stopped and did not blow again.

Hi, I believe I saw a UFO tonight, 28th October, at around 9.45. I was in Leyland at the time and shouted my friends over to see it, they all saw this bright orange light, much bigger than a star moving across the sky. It then began increasing and decreasing height as it gradually got into the distance then dropped from the sky whilst fading out. I did manage to take a video on my mobile phone which only lasts for 4 seconds and doesn't really show the brightness or
movement of the object. I just wondered if anyone else had seen this and if there was any rational explanation.

Hi, I was in the garden of my mums house in Featherstone West Yorkshire last night at around 10pm - 10.30pm having a cigarette. I was looking up at the sky because it was a clear night when from behind me appearing from behind my mums house and coming from the south east I saw a large object that was a dull orange in colour fly over head disappearing over the opposite houses, it took 4 - 5 seconds to travel this distance in total silence.
I've seen helicopters, planes, satellites, shooting stars and the space station before and this was none of them.
It appeared to be lit from inside or reflecting light the orange colour looked mottled, I couldn't make out the shape because of the coloring and the speed it was travelling.
To explain the size I would have to say if I hold my hand at arms length with my thumb stuck out it was slightly bigger than my thumb nail.
I've got to say I've never seen anything like it before, if you have had anymore reports similar to this please reply to my e-mail.

There was no regular shape or pattern to the clusters of lights. Just bright red dot like lights.

Description: We were stood looking out of the back door when the object came into view and very quickly and silently 'flew' from an east to west direction. It travelled at quite a speed similar to a jet but with NO sound or other flashing lights. (live near LBA so flights at night are frequent and common and moments later a plane departed with lights and sound) The broken cloud was quite high, with large gaps and object flew at a steady rate and level under the cloud. It very quickly disappeared from view over towards the Wilsden, Cullingworth direction.

We did see the lantern video, and we feel it definitely was not this we saw. It was far too large and the orange glow was very bright, we got an idea on size, as not long after an aircraft coming out off Leeds and Bradford Airport followed in a familiar flight path, eg height and direction.

Description: After getting out of my car with the family, noticed a very bright gold cone shaped object high above us. I have never seen anything like this before and it certainly was not an aircraft or firework etc, as were looking at it for at least 5 minutes as it hovered. It seemed to have a gold X underneath it and then just shot off at a very high speed and disappeared. As soon as it disappeared another one exactly the same came over from the same direction and also eventually disappeared. I caught the second UFO on my camera video phone for evidence but this is not very clear but you can make the gold UFO out though. I do feel what we saw was a UFO as I cannot explain what it was but had a great deal of time to look at it, and it moved very, very fast.
TV/Radio: Reported to the BBC on the night but they were not interested with my story.

Fremont, California A Glowing Green Chrome Object

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving North on highway 680 through the Fremont, California area north of the Washington District, ascending the first 1/3 of the long southern flank of the Sunol grade, traveling at freeway speeds with the flow. I looked over at a very fast moving object doing an entry burn7+Mach. Looked like the space shuttle with far less mass if you were to check out the streamer. The object was in my view for 2-3 seconds and first was seen to be a glowing green chrome surrounding an intense bright white (like aluminum or barium burning) tail within the first 1/3, the nose of the streak appeared dwarf sun red and changed to dark as deceleration was accomplished.
Just a little lfivefun? This report by me is uncanny when it comes to the similarities of the report from that couple on June of 2008 and November 19, 2008 to this sighting. The object was heading in a polar down slope, west on entry and the tail appeared to be about 25 miles long, with a close-to-the-ground arc aspect pretty flat 18% slope. The end of the trajectory then appeared to be over central Santa Clara Valley. I only heard one brief report of it between two newscasters on same AM radio. Possibly KGO or KCBS. The time was shortly after civil twilight, probably 6:00pm or 6:30pm approximately.

Moncton, New Brunswick A Fast Bright White Oblong Ball Of Light

The witness is talking about a report which was sent to me on November 18, 2008 and newspapers which were written as other folks saw the same thing. Full Description of event/sighting: I recently reported a sighting on September 18, 2008 of a bright white unidentifiable light over Neguac, New Brunswick. This sighting was witnessed by many others and had even made an article in the local newspaper, L'Acadie Nouvelle. However, this prior report is not the only reason I am writing today. A couple of nights ago my spouse and I (who was one of the witnesses in Neguac) were driving in Moncton. At approximately 2200 hours (10:00pm) we stopped at a stop sign and I happened to glance up and out the windshield. Directly in front of us (but far away) I saw a bright white oblong ball of light below the cloud cover, moving at a very slow speed across the horizon. I grabbed my partner's arm and pointed, saying "that looks just like what we saw in Neguac!". He saw the object as well, and said it was probably a plane, as there is an airport nearby. Just as the words were leaving his mouth we saw the object continue to move horizontally towards the East, then suddenly stop. It was motionless for about five seconds, then started to fade away. It then suddenly became very bright again and took off at incredible speed to the East, disappearing from sight within what seemed like only a second.
We both just looked at each other, unable to believe we had seen the same bright unidentifiable light. There is no way that we could have mistaken this for an airplane, we saw plenty of regular air traffic before and after the sighting; this object does not resemble aircraft in any way, nor does it's motion reflect that of any aircraft I have ever seen.

Fort Erie Idylwylde, Ontario Bright Lights Making A Huge Triangle UFO

Full Description of event/sighting: Early at 6:00pm there were two extremely bright lights within our atmosphere and they had small groups of organized craft of some sort, with blinking lights flying in formations and breaking off with each other all around these massively bright "star-like" anomalies. They are not on any star chart. Later in the night I and several witnesses were seeing more different, less star-like UFOs. These had blinking lights which were green and red. I went over to my neighbors to get binoculars, we then saw an extremely bright light blinking purple and green (intensely bright and flashing) hovering over Buffalo. As we looked, we noticed there were 3 blinking light forming a huge massive triangle over the sky.
As we were looking at the triangle, beside it a super orange bright light ripped through the sky. It is still out there right now. I have been seeing these in different spots in the sky every single night and if you are in the Fort Erie area peak outside and pay attention to the sky. It's time people started paying attention to what's happening around here. Massive UFO activity every night now for 2 months straight and it's time someone started documenting this.

I couldn't tell if they were planes or not, but they didn't look normal and there were alot of the same one scattered all over the sky. As we went across the street to his neighbors, you could see a bright UFO over Buffalo and then later we noticed there was actually 3 forming a giant triangle that was bigger than Buffalo easily by circumference. Also an orange light quickly moved across the sky. We watched the intense sparkling light for over an hour.

At approximately 21:45 the three of us saw 3 glowing lights float past the front window as we were watching a DVD. We jumped up and ran to the window as the objects were large, bright and hovering over the house across the road. I would say the objects were about the size of large helicopters. They were Oval shaped and were flying quite low. They moved in a strange gliding manner, and moved very gracefully. It seemed that they did not rely upon wind or thermal to float or glide as there was no breeze, it was a cold night, no clouds and the orb like craft could change direction and speed at will. The first thing I
looked for was flashing lights, there were none, definitely not planes or helicopters. The three objects glowed an orange glow, like a candle inside a balloon, only a lot larger. I considered for a moment that they were balloons, but there was no basket, and unlike air balloons these objects could clearly change direction and choose which direction they could move in.
I noticed there was absolutely no noise at all. The Glowing objects moved very gracefully and the three of us later agreed that there seemed to be a 'feeling' of calm about them. They seemed more energetic, or biological than technology. My friend suggested they were like luminescent jelly fish, but without the tails, and they could change direction. They flew in formation for a while, first in a straight line, then moved apart as they moved overhead, and then back together again, then apart and so on. We stood outside, watched them pass over head, and continued to watch as they gently flew down the road over the houses. The sighting lasted for about 7 minutes until they were too small to follow with the naked eye. Very interesting. Would love to know about other sightings of
them. Someone else must of seen them!
