Diamond Shaped UFO The Length Of A Football Field Over Tarpon Spring Florida

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  May 18, 2011

Time:  5:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 3

Number of Objects: 2

Shape of Objects: Diamond.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was 5:30 a.m. on May 18th in Tarpon Springs, Florida when I saw at first one very large white light in the west, northwest sky over the Gulf of Mexico.

I knew it was not the Moon as it was to small, but way to big for a planet or a star. Then I notice it’s getting closer. I waited and waited and now it’s right above me moving so slow I could ride a bike and keep up with it if I had one.

This thing was huge, I mean huge. It was the length of a football field and shaped like the diamond on a deck of cards. Very dark in color, more like a diamond shadow 300 feet up with one very large white light in the front nose, with two white light on the belly about 25 to 30 feet apart that would turn red then white.

It was heading southeast, there was no sound, that’s what freaks me out. Then a second one just like the first one.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at houstonbri7@gmail.com with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Pilot And Ground Flaggers Observe A Little Flat Flying Football Shaped UFO Over Tranquillity California

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Brian Vike’s Note: There are thousands of aircraft flights each and everyday, if carrying passengers, cargo or military flights of some type. With so many flights taking place each and everyday we are lucky if we hear a small fraction of unidentified UFO reports from pilots. Sightings of unknown objects are being witnessed each and everyday by ground observers, but yet we don't receive all that many pilot reports.

I would like to request that if any pilots who have been witness to something they weren't able to explain while flying an aircraft, would you please be so kind as to relate the information, or your sighting report to me.

Please keep in mind that any and all personal information will be respected and will remain private. I will not post names, emails or anything else that you would consider personal. So if a pilot has been witness to a UFO sighting, please do write to me, Brian Vike – Director Kamloops British Columbia Canada UFO Research at brian_vike@telus.net and by using this email address I will be the only person reading your mail. Thank you, Brian.

In the summer of 1978 I was flying for a crop dusting operation near Tranquillity, California. At that time I had been a duster pilot for over sixteen years, and flying nights since 1965. In central California during the summer months, certain fields are treated after dark, mainly to protect workers and honeybees from exposure to AG chemicals.

On the early morning of 28 July, just before 3:00 a.m., I was sitting in the cockpit of my airplane, a Rockwell Thrush Commander. The aircraft was parked, with it’s engine shut down and all interior and exterior lights off, at the south end of a one-half mile dirt runway, located about five miles southwest of Mendota, a small town in the San Joaquin Valley about thirty miles west of Fresno. The Thrush was lined up with the runway, facing due north.

I had just finished spraying a quarter-section cotton field, and was getting ready to spray another. My two girl flaggers were already in place on the field I was about to treat, and my loader was busy mixing a batch of pesticide to be applied on it.

It was a calm, cloudless night, typical of midsummer in the San Joaquin Valley. The air temperature at ground level was around seventy degrees, and the visibility was good. Although I was somewhat tired, I was not at all sleepy. I had drunk several cups of coffee from my thermos during the previous six hours, and I have always been sensitive to caffeine as a stimulant.

As I sat in the cockpit, waiting for the first load to be pumped into the hopper tank, I glanced over to my right at the crescent moon rising in the east, and then turned back to again face north. At this time, I noticed a dim, diffused orange glow, low in the sky to the northwest, about forty-five degrees to the left of the aircraft nose.

My first thought was that a house, barn, or other nearby ranch building had caught fire, but I discarded that possibility almost immediately. I knew the area quite well (an absolute necessity for safe night AG flying) and the glow was in the direction of the field that I was about to spray. I had flown this same field several times before, and knew there were no buildings in the immediate vicinity. I decided that if it was a fire, it had to be much farther away.

This possibility was discarded a few seconds later, when the orange glow began to slowly rise. When it was about thirty degrees above the horizon, it started moving toward the east.

At first this movement was quite slow, but within a few seconds, it speeded up. The glow then began to take on an elongated form, markedly longer in the vertical plane than in the horizontal. It reminded me of a segment of searchlight beam, except that the entire light column moved laterally, while oriented nearly straight up and down, rather than in a radius around a fixed light source. The length of the column seemed to be about ten to twenty degrees of vertical sky coverage.

As the light column passed through due north, straight ahead over the airplane nose, it continued accelerating and becoming  brighter. I then realized that I was viewing something that was totally different from my many other nighttime sightings of missile launches, satellites, planets, and other aircraft.

I yelled for my loader to look, but the noise of the mix rig engine drowned out my voice, and because his attention was focused on opening cans of pesticide on the opposite side of the mix tank, he didn't see my frantic signals. I climbed out of the cockpit onto the left wing, planning to jump down and run around the trailer to alert him. Then I had the thought that if I did, I might miss a vital part of the display, so I remained standing on the wing.

After passing abeam of the runway end, the object continued accelerating for a short time, perhaps five to ten seconds. It then climbed slightly, and at the same time abruptly slowed. During this phase the glow was becoming brighter, while the vertical beam was shortening, forming itself into a more compact mass of light.

At about forty-five degrees off to my right, the object, now considerably brighter, and resembling a glowing ball, came to a stop for several seconds. It then reversed course, and once again began moving, this time back to the west.

Several seconds after starting it’s westward movement, and without slowing, the ball of light instantly assumed the shape of a well-defined, flattened sphere with pointed ends, which emitted a steady orange glow. At this time it began a shallow descent, gathering speed and leveling out around twenty degrees above the horizon. It flew with it’s pointed ends parallel to the ground. From my position, the size of the object looked to be about that of a large pea or small marble when held at arms length.

When the glowing, flattened sphere was directly over the Thrush's nose, it abruptly halted, going from a high rate of speed to a dead stop almost instantaneously. It remained stationary for no more than a few seconds - five at the most. Although this would have been the best opportunity to determine the object's true size, I was unable to make an estimate, since it’s distance from me was unknown. On the report which I later submitted, I placed it at one to three miles away, but that distance is highly speculative.

After its momentary halt, the object again accelerated. Within a few seconds it had resumed its previous high speed, but appeared to have turned ninety degrees, and was now climbing directly away from me at a very steep angle. Its heading was due north, and as it rose, it attained what looked to be the highest speed reached during the entire time it had been in view.

Because of the unknown size and distance of the object, and the fact that it was climbing at an angle directly away from me, this speed was impossible to estimate accurately. Judging from the rate at which it seemed to grow smaller though, it looked to be travelling about three to five times faster than a jet airliner at an altitude of around thirty thousand feet, as seen from the ground.

During this climb, the object also reached its maximum brightness, only very slightly less than that of the crescent moon. As it continued to rise, it began to dim. It finally vanished from my sight high above the horizon (about sixty to seventy degrees), over the glow of the lights of Firebaugh, another small town about 12 miles due north of my position.

The total time which the object remained in view, from my first sighting of the diffused mass of light until the final disappearance of the flattened sphere, seemed to be about 40-50 seconds, but an accurate estimate is quite difficult. It could have been somewhat shorter, but almost certainly wasn't longer.

Throughout the episode, I remained relatively calm, but was filled with awe when I realized that I had just witnessed a phenomenon about which I had previously only read, and, up to that time, was not at all certain actually existed.

As soon as the object disappeared, I jumped off the wing and asked my loader if he had seen anything. He had not, and when I told him what I had witnessed, he was disappointed, to say the least. He finished mixing the batch of pesticide, and I sprayed four loads on the field. I then sprayed another quarter-section located northeast of the strip without further incident.

After returning to Tranquillity, I sought out my two flaggers, and asked them if they had seen anything unusual the previous night. They were both very evasive and reluctant to answer my questions, and kept trying to change the subject. I finally got them to admit that they had also seen the object. Their view of it had been better than my own, since they described it as somewhat larger and brighter than it had appeared from my location. From this, I estimated that they were closer to it than I had been, although it had still remained to the north of them.

With further questioning, the fact emerged that they had also seen the same object on the previous two nights, while flagging for another pilot. The girls described it very aptly as "a little, flat, flying football." They had told no one else of these previous sightings, and remained very reluctant to discuss them with me. I later talked with the other pilot, who stated that he had seen nothing out of the ordinary on either night.

Several nights later, at around midnight, I was in the air, returning to Tranquillity from the western edge of the valley. I was heading almost due east, flying at about five hundred feet. Suddenly, to the south, just off my right wing, at what seemed to be considerable distance away, I again sighted a column of diffused light. This time, the glow was more yellowish than orange. It appeared to move very slowly to the west, and I waited for a few seconds to see if another bright, oval shape would materialize from it. This did not occur. I then turned the airplane toward the light column, and flashed my two field lights of six hundred watts each. It immediately disappeared, and I saw no further evidence of the phenomenon.

A few days afterward, I wrote to the National Investigative Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), and reported the first sighting. Since the second light column had seemed rather far away, and was visible for only a short time, I didn't mention it. I later made out a NICAP report form and returned it. There was no reply from the organization, and I later learned that NICAP became non-operational the next year.

That sighting of 28 July made a very deep and lasting impression. I can still see the glowing orange, flattened sphere as vividly in my mind as it appeared on that early morning many years ago. I have no doubt that the device (or whatever it was) was real - there is absolutely no way that it could have been a product of my imagination. Twelve years previously, I had flown in the Sudan with some AG pilots who mentioned seeing somewhat similar objects in Arkansas and Florida.

Around that same time, many persons in the Mendota-Tranquillity area claimed to have seen, over a period of several nights, a gigantic, black object, with strange, multi-colored flashing lights. It moved slowly, making no sound, and was so huge that it obscured a significant portion of the night sky. (This fits the "mother ship" description of which I later read in various UFO accounts.) I never saw this vehicle, so I can't verify its existence, but it was the talk of all of the little towns on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley for many weeks afterward.

Over the years, I have seen two other unusual objects during night AG flying operations in the same general area. I once observed a bright blue light descend slowly to the ground from a high altitude, and watched, for a minute or so, a group of several bright white lights in a perfect "L" formation. They were flying very high and very fast, much faster than any known conventional aircraft. Neither of these incidents had the visual and psychological impact of the 1978 sighting however.

As I write this, I have spent over 35 years in agricultural aviation, and accumulated more than eleven thousand hours of AG flying time, several thousand of these at night. During the many thousands of hours I have spent outdoors after dark, I have seen hundreds of satellites, about thirty missile launches from Vandenberg AFB, all of the visible planets under widely varying sky conditions, and many thousands of military and civilian aircraft in all modes of flight. What I saw on that early July morning was totally unlike anything else I have ever observed in the night sky.

Since then, I have read hundreds of books dealing with all aspects of UFOs. Many of them contain accounts that are inconsistent and contradictory, while others are obviously outright fantasy. A few, however, seem to be authentic. Unlike most other UFO researchers, my search for the truth behind the many thousands of documented appearances of these phenomena is driven by the certain knowledge that they in fact exist.

To date, despite many years of research, I am still unable to form a definite opinion as to the substance and meaning of these mysterious and logic-defying objects. I hope, however, to somehow correlate the mass of at-times conflicting information, and determine their true origin and purpose, before I make that last flight West.

END.

After the above article was first published the witness received a letter from a 25,000 hour commercial pilot who had sighted what was essentially the same phenomenon on a night in January of 1978, six months before my own experience.

He was on a charter flight with several passengers aboard and cruising at 8500 feet when, at about 9:00 p.m., he looked to the west of his course and saw a similar cycle of light begin. He started to turn toward it to get a better view, but his passengers had no desire whatever to get any closer…they became quite agitated and “strongly objected,” so he reluctantly turned away from the spectacle so as to calm them down. By the time he got back on his original heading, the light show was over. He also mentioned that he had seen a flight of “silvery disks” somewhere over north central Washington sometime in the 1950’s.

(Removed by Brian Vike) also got a letter from a distinguished professor at a northern California university, who dismissed my sighting as “only the aurora borealis, or northern lights.” I have seen the northern lights a number of times. Once, when they were exceptionally strong, they even appeared on the horizon in southern California. Of course, they bear no resemblance whatever to what I saw in the sky that morning, and anyone reading the article who has also seen the northern lights should have been able to comprehend that there was a vast difference between them. Some professor! Some aurora borealis!

Since the article first appeared, I have had one more sighting of something that remains unexplained in my mind. My wife also saw it, and is likewise at a loss to explain it.

On an early summer evening, we were lying on our backs on a lawn, watching the passage of the linked space shuttle/space station as they passed overhead. It was a very bright object, and had appeared exactly at the time forecast.

About 15 seconds after it had passed directly above us, we saw a bright white, flashing light on approximately the same track as the linked vehicles, but some distance behind them. It was nearly directly overhead also. The light didn’t move in the same direction however. Instead, it flashed, disappeared, and then flashed again in another location some distance away from its original position. This cycle repeated itself about five or six times, with the light appearing at a different part of the sky each time, then the object disappeared.

I mailed an account of this sighting to the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, an organization which gathers reports of unexplained aerial object sighting from all over the world. They mostly come from airline pilots. The reply stated that this same “flashing, disappearing/reappearing light” was one of the most common objects reported by a large number of pilots, none of whom were able to explain it. Neither was NARCAP.

Although I have been searching for 40 years, I myself am no wiser as to the origin or purpose of these various unidentified flying objects which are being reported with increasing frequency all over the world. However, since there is nothing in the universe that is “supernatural,” I am convinced that they are a part of some larger phenomena yet to be discovered.

An Unexplained Sighting Over Northern Alabama

(Published in - Removed by Brian Vike - September 1995 as sidebar to "A Little Flat Flying Football")

Whenever I travel by airline, I always try to get a window seat, because I like to look out on the ever-changing clouds and sky and watch the ground passing below. Thus, on 21 April 1994, at approximately 1310 EDT, I was in the rearmost right window seat of a Delta Lockheed L-1011. The aircraft was nearly full of passengers, heading west/northwest on a flight from Atlanta to Salt Lake City.

We were in a climb to cruising altitude, passing through approximately 18/20,000 feet, when I suddenly saw, almost directly below, two seemingly circular bright, glowing white objects, with no visible wings or tail surfaces, moving toward the northeast at a very high speed. I spotted them just after they had passed under the airplane.

Because I have no knowledge of their size, or their distance from the aircraft, it's hard to say how far below they actually were, or at what speed they were traveling. I can tell you that they were moving very fast though...much faster than the fastest military fighter aircraft would be capable of flying, especially at that relatively low altitude.

Besides that, with only a few exceptions for test and tactical ranges in several of the western states, supersonic flight is forbidden over the continental US, and these machines were traveling at a speed which was obviously much higher than the speed of sound would have been at that altitude. And of course all military aircraft of all the services are now coated with either radar-absorptive or camouflage paint, and thus are either a uniform dull grey or a dull gray/green mottled color combination.

Although these objects were flying together, they were not in a close formation, such as tactical military aircraft would normally be, but approximately 3-5 degrees apart. As they moved away below, they seemed to drift a little farther away from each other.

I watched them disappear in the distance, and then looked forward along the row of seats to see if anyone ahead of me was pointing, gesturing, or giving some indication that they had also seen the objects. No one was...all of the other passengers had the window shades down and were watching some dumb Whoopee Goldberg movie. Evidently I was the only one looking out the window.

While this didn't have the same impact as my previous sighting of July 1978, it was still an exciting experience. I only wish I had seen an indication that someone else on that airplane had sighted the machines...or whatever they were.

Thank you to the eyewitnesses for their excellent reporting.

Police Investigate Football Field Triangular UFO With Bright Lights Over Hobbema Alberta (Written Report/Audio Interview)

From Brian Vike’s UFO Files.

Also from Brian Vike’s - “The Vike Report Radio Show.”

Date: January 7, 2008
Time: 1:15 a.m.

Location of Sighting: My residence in Hobbema.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Could not tell it was dark.

Full Description of event/sighting: My brother and I were watching television when something caught my brothers eye. He immediately jumped up to see what it was and called me.

We both looked outside and saw some bright lights. We then began to go outside onto the patio to get a better look.

We then saw three bright lights, with the brightest light revolving around the whole thing. Kind of a back and forth motion.

We watched it until it went out of sight behind some trees. It looked as if it was going to land or something. We then got dressed and went outside to try and get a better look at where it was going to land.

Or to see if it was going to land. By the time we got outside it was gone. Which was strange because if it were a plane, we would have been able to see it.

It was about a couple hundred feet above the tree-line. We heard no sound at all. And what caught our attention was how bright the light was that was revolving around it.

We are just wondering if anyone else seen it?

We are now sold, if in fact that it was a UFO.

Hope this helps a little. Thanks.

The interview is 23.4 mbs and it is 17 minutes in length.

Football Sized UFO Looked Like Ferris Wheel Rotating In The Sky Outside Toronto Ontario (Written Report/Audio Interview/Diagrams)

From Brian Vike’s UFO Files.

Date: Winter of 1980, (January ?)
Time: Evening.

UFO Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: Along with this report below, you will see the UFO reporting form which was written up by a UFO investigator years ago. Also two of the original diagrams the eyewitness provided to the investigator, also two new diagrams in which the eyewitness drew up recently for Brian Vike.

Also you will notice that Brian Vike has left the eyewitnesses name in the report form, I asked the witness if I should remove it, and he said it was fine to leave his name in, but I did remove his address and phone number which you will note on the reporting form.

If anyone witnessed this event back in the winter of 1980, would you please contact me here at The Vike Factorsighting@telus.net as by the sounds of things other folks had witnessed this as well, according to a newspaper article which was run on this sighting event.

Full Description of event/sighting: Around the winter of 1980, January perhaps, I just got off work at 9:30 p.m. from the auto dealership. I was a car salesman at the time. I started driving towards the city of Toronto, Canada, on the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) eastbound to meet some friends at a bar on the Esplanad (a street lined with nightclubs). I didn't have anything to drink and didn't smoke any pot on that day/evening.

As I was driving, I noticed a string of lights slowly rotating counter clockwise over the city of Toronto, at about the ten o'clock position from my point of view. This caught my eye because these formation of lights were very unusual.

The lights were evidently in a circular pattern with about two thirds visible as the other third rotated out of view. Imagine a pie plate with about 25 lights around the circumference of it. As this "pie plate" would revolve, a third of these lights would be hidden from view as if they were obstructed by a solid body. It was at night so all I could see was these rotating string of lights but they were definitely on a "fixed" platform as the lights were revolving in unison.

Although I've heard of UFO's and was curious, at that time in my life, I didn't really give that much thought about them. I've always been interested in nature and especially about the universe. I've seen all kinds of aircraft and advertising blimps at night before.

I drove taxi's off and on for fifteen years on the night shift and have seen countless meteors, lightening, satellites etc. On two occasions I've even seen extremely bright, slow falling, green fireball meteors lighting up the ground, for a couple of seconds, as if it was daylight.

I've read, in later years, were other witnesses reported green fireballs as UFO's. I chuckled to myself thinking how easily "UFO believers" can be fooled by natural phenomenon.

Anyway, these circle of lights were slowly descending and approaching towards me (westbound), while I was driving about 115 kilometers per hour on the highway eastbound. These lights were getting closer and closer as "we" approached each other. I recall thinking to myself that this must be some kind of advertising balloon and those lights were letters.

As I kept driving, I was paying more and more attention to this object because the closer it was getting, the more unusual it looked. I kept glancing at it, while driving, waiting until it was close enough to read what these letters were saying, still thinking it was some kind of advertising blimp.

The closer it got, the more I looked at it. Now at my nine o'clock position, the string of rotating lights started to bank left like an airplane would "turning right" At this point, I realized that these lights were not letters at all. They were different shaped, yellowish white lights.

The reason these lights were different in shape was because they were "ingrained" into some body. When the lights were seen head on, they were circular. But as they rotated out of "direct" view, they changed shape like the different crescents of the moon. That's why they appeared to be all different shapes.

Anyway, during the time when this object started to bank left, from my point of view, I was struggling with myself trying to understand whether this was a plane or a balloon. It was flying too slow for a plane, yet, too fast for a blimp. Also, it didn't appear to be flying or floating. The best way I can describe it's motion is that it looked like it was "sailing" in the sky.

What's interesting here is that the human brain tries to associate what the eyes are seeing, to something already seen or experienced before. That's why I was at war with myself trying to decide whether this object was a plane, blimp or a balloon.

Every time I resigned myself to what I must be witnessing, I jumped to another conclusion. This jumping from one conclusion to another occurred during the whole experience. I was imagining all kinds of things. For example, if it was a plane, the only way these lights could have been positioned was in a circle because this plane must have had some kind of supporting structure in a circle from wing tip to wing tip. This didn't make any sense at all.

I've seen advertising planes before. This was nothing like this. Not even close. Then I was trying to imagine a "Goodyear blimp" with these letters going across it's side. This was nothing like it either. So here I was, trying to drive and watch this object at the same time.

As I was driving, I started to slow down because I kept looking at this circle of lights more than the road ahead of me. In retrospect, I don't even know how I kept my car on the road because I was so awed by this display in the sky.

Here is the killer.

As the object kept banking and banking more and more, it eventually ended up totally perpendicular to the ground! The first thing that came to mind was a big Ferris wheel rotating in the sky. At this point I slowed down to about 50 KPH (30 miles an hour in a 60 MPH highway for my American friends) and put my four way, flashing hazard lights on my car fearing that another car would smash into the back of me for going so slow on a 100 KPH highway.

Here is the shocker.

As I was mesmerized by this UFO, a surge of adrenaline hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't realize how big this thing was. At first I thought it was the size of an airplane fairly close. It was gigantic! At least twice the size of a football field, bigger than an aircraft carrier! I don't know what gave away it's size. Maybe the reflections of light on the ground.

The best way I can relate this sudden realization is like one of those illusions most of us have seen. You know, when you look at a pixel drawing with an image you can't see until you stare at it for a while? After a period of time, you make out the face of a women or something like that?

That's kind of the transformation I experienced. At first I thought the object was the size of a large plane than suddenly I really saw it. It was huge! I yelled out loud to my self, "holey crap", it's huge". I don't freaking believe it, It's freaking huge! I thought it was fairly close at first, than bang!, it was much farther away and larger than my brain first comprehended it.

Speaking about this surge of adrenaline. Have you ever had a really close call having a car accident? When your heart rate skyrockets to about 180 beats per minute? That's what I felt when I realized how gargantuan this object was! I could literally feel my heart pounding like crazy. To be frank, it literally scared the hell out of me, when I realized how big it was.

At this point, I rolled down my window and pointed to this giant "Ferris wheel" in the sky to the other motorists, but it appeared no one seemed to notice as they screamed by me at regular highway speeds. I remember how cold it was when I rolled down my window. It was something like minus 30 Celsius below zero.

After, I don't know how long, probably only a few seconds of rotating in this perpendicular position, this thing started to climb and right itself and "sail" back to the direction it originally came from. I rolled up my window, turned off my hazard lights, and started to speed up to chase it. Still it seemed other motorists didn't notice this object. It still irks me to this day.

As I was approaching the city limits, this object was in it's flat position again climbing over the city. Then, all of a sudden, the rotating lights turned off except for a red "aircraft like" blinking light (which I never noticed before). After a few seconds, the rotating lights turned on again. It was like in the movie "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind".

The lights just blasted on. Then after a few seconds they turned off again as it seemed to be right over the city. Strange behavior. Now I was exiting off of the highway on to Spadina Rd. I lost track of these lights because of the tall buildings. When I was on the street where I was going, I saw a cop parked on the other side of the road writing a parking ticked.

I stopped in the middle of the road and ran over to him. He was quite taken aback by my seemingly aggressive approach. I asked him, "how long have you been here?" I forgot what he said, but I asked, "did you see that big circle of lights flying in the sky?

He said "no". After parking my car, I met my friends at the bar, "Baily's", and told them what happened but they didn't take me seriously as they've already had a few and were more interested in the ladies.

After "sitting at the bar by myself" for a couple of hours I went home. I was living at my parent's house at the time, temporarily, so when I got home around 1:00 A.M., I called the police. I didn't know who else to phone at the time.

They didn't take me seriously of course so after that, I phoned the Toronto International Airport and managed to get through to Air Traffic Control and asked them if they had anyone call in with a UFO report. Nothing. So I called the police again and convinced them to take me seriously as I wanted to make a report.

They told me they can send a couple of officers to my house. As it was late and my parents were asleep, I told them I'd rather come to the station the next day to report. Next morning, when I contemplated going in I decided not to, fearing they would think I'm some kind of wacko.

As the days went by, scanning the newspapers looking for a "UFO sighting" to no avail, I started doubting myself. I was trying to convince myself that perhaps I was somehow mistaken. Maybe it was something not out of the ordinary at all. Maybe it was a balloon or airplane of some kind. Maybe like thousands of others, I witnessed something that I misinterpreted for something else.

And now the conclusion.

About a week or so later, on or about the tenth page of the Toronto Star, bottom right hand corner, there it was! A short article. "Dozens of Mississauga residents reported a UFO as big as a football field!"

I don't recall the whole article. I'll never doubt myself again no matter how much ridicule I'll be subjected to. After about 27 years, I just had to let this out.

Cote St-Lu Montreal Quebec Glowing UFO As Large As A Football Field

Posted: September 21, 2008

Date: August 15, 2008
Time: 4:10 - 4:20 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Very bright orangey glow but very symmetrical and circular looking.
Weather Conditions: Fear clear sky I could see the stars, but their were a few clouds in the distance.

Description: I woke up from hearing my dog barking. I looked at the clock it was 4:07 am. I went into the living room and opened the balcony door to have a smoke outside and as I looked towards the airport { I live in a high rise and I'm on the 9th floor) and the west island I saw this massive light I couldn't tell if it was an object or the blow from a fire somewhere near there, but no it was moving. This blew my mind away, I have seen alot of weird objects in the sky before many times.

I could never say for sure, but this was something else. It went over Dorval direction north. I woke my fiancé up and rushed her to the balcony while she's screaming { your crazy baby come to bed) when she saw the object her jaw dropped and she had the same look I must of had. The amazing part of all this is when I realized it was moving and that it indeed have a circular and constant glow, no fading, just bright orange. We watched the object move over from the south heading north. If I would have to guess the size of the orange glow (object) I would have to say it must have been at least the size of a large football field, estimated altitude of 500 to 1000 meters.

TV/Radio: I can't find anything on it yet.

Hobbema, Alberta Black Triangle UFO As Large As A Football Field

Posted: August 18, 2008

Date: Fall 2005
Time: After 1:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Hobbema.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangular.

HBCC UFO Research Note: I would like to point out that this UFO incident has never been told before to anyone. The reason why I mention this is, there are I would bet thousands of sightings out there that folks for whatever reason have never come forward to tell their story. If anyone has had a UFO experience of any kind and has not reported, please do take some spare time to file a report to me over what it was you saw. Your personal information will remain totally private.

Full Description of event/sighting: If want more info you can call me. I'm not a good typist.

Additional Information:

Brian Vike- Director of HBCC UFO Research telephoned one of the eyewitnesses to the sighting that took place back in the Fall of 2005. I had a really nice conversation with one of the witnesses, both of the fellows who saw the craft are security guards. Hobbema, Alberta is located about one hours drive south from Edmonton, Alberta, or just south of Wetaskiwin. Hobbema is on a native reserve.

The two men were working as security guards for one of the native bands and had just got on their regular shift at midnight and started making their rounds in the small village. Awhile into their first check of the community they noticed a strange light in the distance which appeared to be coming in their direction and seemed to be very low in altitude. The fellows were driving along on a dirt road in the truck when this large craft, football field in size with three orange colored lights which were located on the three points of the large triangular craft passed slowly and directly overhead of them.

The driver of the truck stopped the vehicle and both of the men decided to get out and stood there observing the large UFO. The triangular craft sat stationary at a low altitude over a field (Pow Wow grounds) just a short distance away from the security guards. Both men stood stunned as to what they were seeing. There was no question at all when figuring out the shape of the object as it was darker in color that the night sky. The UFO made not sound, also another thing the men noticed was the crickets and dogs that normal would be making alot of noise were silent.

After approximately 30 seconds to a minute at most, the passenger of the vehicle started freaking out at the driver as he was trying to get the trucks spotlight turned to illuminate the craft and surrounding area. The passenger was scared and demanded that they leave the area where the craft was right away. So both men got into the truck and started to move, and as they drove slowly along the dirt road the triangular UFO moved along with them, pretty much pacing the men's vehicle. Meanwhile inside the truck the passenger is really going off at the driver, telling him to get moving faster so they could get out of the area. The driver mentioned to me that he told the passenger that they will most likely never get a chance to see something like this again and the driver slowed the truck and they came to a stop, arguing about what they wanted to do. As the vehicle came to a brief stop, the UFO started to pick up a little speed and so did the truck, in other words the driver wanted to try to keep up with the craft. In the meantime the passenger is swearing at the driver to stop as he was going to get out of the vehicle and walk in the opposite direction the UFO was traveling. The driver stopped the truck to let his friend/co-worker out, he glanced again at the object and it shot off towards the east and was gone. The driver said it was out of sight in an instant.

I would like to thank the witness for taking the time with me on the telephone and for sharing his experience.

Sherwood Park, Alberta A Triangle 2 Or 3 Football Fields In Size

Posted: February 10, 2008

Date: August 13, 2007 Time: 11:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Sherwood Park. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was walking outside to close my garage door on my acreage before bed and as I was walking back into the house. I noticed something strange and stationary in the night sky. It was a perfectly clear and calm evening with the stars and galaxies shining brighter than the nearby lights of Edmonton. I remembered at first there was a meteor shower that night and took more of a glance in the near vicinity. Within seconds I noticed a falling meteor and quickly followed it across the sky thinking "wow". When I looked back I noticed a triangle with 3 white lights on every point and the internal black body very close in the nearby distance. The strange object blocked out the stars behind it and looked like it was positioned/camouflaged within the stars. But if you looked closely you could really see it was much closer and about the distance of typical low lying clouds.

The triangular object seemed to be that of 2-3 football fields in size. I had a glimpse of the object for about 5 seconds and it seemed to morph or turn very quickly. All I could really see were the 3 white lights on its corners all move at the same time and that is what startled me. I fell to the ground feeling the need to take cover and when I did, I noticed another flash of that was resembling a bright meteor coming from the exact position of the triangle, and soon the strange object just disappeared. I then ran into the house to grab my girlfriend and when I came back outside all was gone. Crazy.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Richmond, British Columbia A Dark Football Shaped Object

Posted: February 5, 2008

Date: June 11, 2007 Time: Approx: 10:50 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Richmond, B.C. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Football shaped object.

Full Description of event/sighting: Driving east, I stopped at the intersection of Alderbridge Way and Garden City Rd., when I noticed a dark, football shaped object. It was quite small and I had to really focus on it as it was fading in and out a bit, only to suddenly became darker. There was a small procession of planes approaching west to Vancouver Intl. Airport. The unidentified object "glided" slowly north, going in and out of the low-lying clouds in a smooth, straight line at a far enough distance to not be in the way of the planes. The object moved in and out of the clouds for about seven seconds and then it suddenly disappeared. Has anyone else reported anything similar? Thanks.

Additional Information:

Q. - Roughly how long were you able to watch the object for ?

A. - I watched the object for approximately 10 seconds, though it seemed like many minutes ! I have no idea how long it was sitting in the sky before I discovered it. It was still at first and then it moved slowly in a straight line like it was gliding.

Q. - Were there any visible features noted at any time while watching the craft ?

A. - No, I observed no visible features on the craft. When I first spotted it, it looked like a small, dark speck in the sky. It then became darker or more defined. That's when I noticed it had a football or oval like appearance. I saw no lights or any illumination emanating from it whatsoever.

Q. - Would you remember in which direction it was flying to and from ?

A. - When I first discovered it, it appeared to be just sitting in the eastern sky. It sat in the sky for a moment then glided slowly north, towards the mountain and disappeared in the clouds.

Q. - At anytime, since you mentioned aircraft in another part of the sky, did at anytime were aircraft seen close to this object ?

A. - The craft was sitting much higher in the sky and behind the airplanes that were coming in westward for landing. To me, it appeared that the craft could have been observing the airplanes from a large distance away.

A. - It would be interesting if anything was reported. Whatever it was, it certainly appeared to be different than a regular airplane, unless it was a military plane of some kind. It would be exciting if the airport did indeed have something reported about this. Good luck.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Message: I might of saw a UFO tonight. It was shaped like a football hovering very low to the ground. I got in my car and followed it. It was very bright in the center and it went so slowly at first. I saw it at 232nd and 32nd Ave. The lights were mostly clear with a green one and red, but the inside was so bright, florescent almost. Sept 11 around 8:15 to 8:30 pm.

Smithers, British Columbia Another Witness Sees Same Object

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: September 22, 2004 Time: 6:40 a.m.

I took a telephone call from a witness who resides approximately 10 miles west of Smithers, B.C. in the area of Avalon. He stated that he had picked up the Smithers Interior Newspaper on November 17, 2004 and read the article on UFO sightings for around the area. When the man read the report for September 22, 2004 he called to his wife and told her that he had witnessed the very same thing on the same day and at the exact time. The witness keeps a diary and his wife had entered the strange sighting for that day in his book.

The gentleman was sitting in his home having his morning cup of coffee and looking out his picture window. The fellow said he has a great view of the surrounding area and can see for a long way off into the distance. All of a sudden something in the sky caught his attention which he thought it looked odd. As he watched, this elongated/football shaped object moved across the sky traveling slightly in a downward motion. The witness said it took approximately 15 to 20 seconds before he lost sight of it. The man also noted the object was not very high in altitude and seemed to travel over the tree tops. The object traveled from the southwest heading northeast. There was no trail or tail following behind the object. The color of it was reported to be a bluish green. The fellow told me is was really silent in his home as his wife was still in bed and he had no radio or TV on. He heard no sound from the object at all.

The witness felt the object was going to land or hit the Babine mountains as it had gone into the cloud cover which was hanging very low over the mountain range. He also called the Smithers Airport after the event was over asking them if they had any information on what he had observed, the airport employees didn't know anything about it.

HBCC UFO Note: This same object was observed by a lady driving into Smithers from her home in Telkwa, B.C.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
