Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan Red Green And Blue Lights

Posted: January 9, 2009

Date: February 15, 2005
Time: 1:30 a.m.

Duration: 1 hour.
Object: 1
Witnesses: 2

I was watching TV, when I looked out the south window on the ground floor. I saw what looked like a really bright star, only it looked like it was moving. I watched it for a few minutes and I was sure it was moving. But, I thought maybe my eyes were just playing tricks. So I went and woke up my mom on the third floor. She came to the south window in that room and looked to the southwest. We could both see the object. It was hovering about 1km in the air, about 20km west and south of us. It was quite small, but we could see colored red, green and blue lights once in a while.

It won't up and down and side to side, but basically in the same general area. Sometimes it went really fast upwards, sometimes only moving a bit. Then it just disappeared.

Received report via online form.

Thank you to David for your report. (Witness granted permission to release name)

Barb's note: Based on David's description of possible distance; it's possible that the object appears to be hovering over an area somewhere around McLean, Balgonie, Jameson or Davin. If you are from around those areas and you believe you may have witnessed something unusual, please contact NWSURC.
