Caledon, Ontario Bright Colored Flashing Lights

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 15, 2005 Time: 10:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, Well it finally happened. Last night I was going into my office and noticed a bright object through the window, It appeared to be changing colors, red, blue, green. It was a very starry night here, so to be sure I went outside 10:00 p.m. and there it was in the west sky, it did look like it was moving in a small circle, when I got my camera out and started taking pictures, It was strange because each time the flash went off it appeared to be coming towards my direction, it almost seemed as though it could see me from as far away as it was. I went in to try and down load the pictures but for some reason they were all black!

It stayed there for around 35 minuets and when I went to see it at 10:55 p.m. it was gone. I just looked out the same window tonight and there is know sign of it, Though the stars are out.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Mistatim, Saskatchewan Extremely Bright Light

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 23, 2005 Time: 10:20 p.m.

Strangest thing I saw last night while driving Highway #3 yesterday evening (March 23, 2005) between Tisdale and Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. At 10:20 p.m., I was about a kilometer west of Mistatim, heading east toward Hudson Bay. I happened to glance out the driver side window, toward where Vega was in the sky, and noticed a very, very bright light about 5 - 10 degrees above and a little to the east of the star. The light was extremely bright, like looking at a streetlight or the headlight of an oncoming car that's still some ways off but beginning to get too bright for comfort. When I first saw it, it was already very bright - I don't know if it suddenly appeared or had slowly increased in brightness.

However, after about 15 - 20 seconds, it began to dim and slowly faded into the darkness of the night sky during another 20 - 30 seconds. There was no motion to it - it stayed in the same place in the sky throughout the sighting. I suppose it could have been a satellite, particularly an Iridium satellite, but I was struck by it's lack of movement. I checked with heavens-above.com to see if there were any satellite passes at that time. There were no objects in the heavens-above database for that time (the nearest being at about 4:30 in the afternoon). It could have been a satellite, I guess, but who knows? Anyway, I thought I'd mention it.

I've seen bright lights like this a few times, but never in the northern sky. Usually, there's some movement associated with a satellite.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vancouver, British Columbia Green UFO

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 14, 2005 Time: 9:34 p.m.

Hello Brian, I'm writing today to share a recent photograph.

This green UFO was photographed over downtown Vancouver on Monday March 14, 2005. Although there had been numerous sightings in the Pacific Northwest Region and into BC on the 12th, my photograph is probably a little late to have captured that event. However, it did arrive early for St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) and dressed in an appropriate color I might add.

In the original frame the signs on the buildings are clearly detailed, indicating that the object was at some altitude above the ground and not close to the lens as people might suspect. In the camera's macro mode (used in taking this photograph), the autofocus system will shorten the focal distance when something is up close to the lens, resulting in a blurred and unfocussed background against which the well-focused foreground object appears. This effect does not occur in the UFO photograph. Readers can compare the UFO image with many other images that do show this effect in the photo gallery on my website, www.yourinnervoice.com.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Terrace, B.C. Lights Form A Triangular Shape

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 17, 2005 Time: Evening

Last night March, 17, 2005 there were two lights floating in the air. After just hovering for maybe 5 minutes after we spotted them they started to dart around, almost as if playing with each other. For about 2 minutes they darted around, then they got closer allowing us to see there triangular shapes. They were mostly just glowing a kind of whitish color, but they gave off a few blue and red flashes.

After they stopped darting around, they stayed stationary for almost an entire minute before darting across the sky. They traveled at an incredible rate of speed. After watching them fly off it didn't take long before we lost sight of the objects. I am starting to think Terrace is a real UFO hot spot. This summer I am going be out every starry night till I get some video footage, but I'm going save up to get a better camera, mine can't get anything done in the night sky.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Toronto, Ontario Unknown Craft With Blinking Lights

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 19, 2005 Time: 9:00 p.m.

Message: I saw a craft which had four lights on it. Two of them were odd blinking lights. It was zooming by and it looked like just a blur. I saw it two hours ago, 9:00 o'clock when I went out for a smoke. I've been sitting outside since. I live in Toronto and I saw it heading south towards United States. It was flying extremely low and really quiet. At first I thought it was some kind of bomber or something. But it slowed down, then took off completely. It didn't make any noise and that's what scared me. It could be nothing but I've hearing reports on news stations in America that lots of people are seeing something similar so I have decided to report this. Thank you.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vernon, British Columbia Daylight Star-Like Object

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 30, 2005 Time: 2:00 p.m.

Sunny with various clouds.

Hello Brian, I was walking down town today and saw in the east a star like object hovering under a cloud. This object began to move in a straight line and as it was moving it brightened and then rose up into the cloud it was under.

The object I could clearly see as it was bright white and out of place in the day time sky, and it was under a darker cloud. I can compare size to a star in the sky at night. I made sure that it was not a plane with it's one headlight on or the sun reflecting off the body of a plane. The object did go vertical into the cloud and it definitely brightened before it did.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.

Regina, Saskatchewan Flashing Lights

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 30, 2005 Time: 9:21 p.m.

It was only about 15 minutes ago myself and my wife were outside, having a smoke. In a matter of five minutes we had seen four UFOs for sure, and I believe I had seen at least another six flash for a split second. We had first seen just one light moving south in the sky at an extreme speed, then just disappeared, a minute later we saw a light going back in the opposite direction, at a slower speed than the first, and again disappeared. About two minutes after that, we saw two lights moving towards each other, and then cross each other's path. But just before they disappeared I thought I saw six more flash for a split second, all around the two that crossed. Something is definitely going on.

Peterborough, Ontario Dull Yellow Orange Light Changes Direction

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 30, 2005 Time: 10:45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Dull yellow orange light.

Full Description of event/sighting: Viewing sky from hot tub. Clear night with a bit of haze in atmosphere. Stars were visible with orange tint and as we looked up a fast moving light crossed the sky from a south to north path. At first I thought it was just a satellite. Then we realized that it was moving about 2 to 3 times faster than what the satellites travel. I stated to my wife that that was moving fast for a satellite, or airplane for that matter, as we could also witness some airplanes in the sky. Suddenly, the object changed direction, traveling in a very tight turn about 170 degrees, then stopping very briefly. After a second , it resumed its original northerly track for a few seconds, slowed to almost still, then, continued out of sight beyond the horizon. I cannot understand what object could possibly change direction in space or the upper atmosphere so abruptly. It was like there was no inertia to smooth out the turns, or how could it just stop and start traveling like that?

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Trail And Warfield, B.C. Bright White Light Followed By Red Balls Of Light

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 27, 2005 Time: Approx: 10:15 p.m.

I took a couple of calls from eyewitnesses who reported seeing some unusual lights in the sky. The lights were first spotted traveling from the northeast and heading to the southwest. The witnesses first saw a bright white light traveling at a low altitude, no sound was heard at all and the light seemed to sway back and forth as it traveled. A short distance behind the bright white light a set of red balls of light were then observed. Six in total and stretched out across the sky, all traveling in the same direction as the white light. Again not sound was heard and the red lights were flying at a very low altitude.

All of the witness said they had seen nothing like this before. Another report of the same kind came in from Calgary, Alberta close to the same date.

Thank you to the witnesses for their report.

North of Toronto And East of Highway #10 Caledon, Ontario Two Dark Objects

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date March 31, 2005 Time: 3:30 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research note: The photos the witness is referring to, or I should say the original pictures were mistakenly deleted from the person's computer. But a small version was sent along to me and I can say that whatever the eyewitness caught on film is really interesting. But due to the size, very hard to tell what it could be. These things happen from time to time, I know I do it myself here.

Hi Brian, It was afternoon around 3:30 pm. I looked out my east window and said how stormy the clouds looked. I grabbed my camera, went outside and as I looked at the formation of clouds I thought I saw something that appeared to be in the clouds. I couldn't quite make it out so I just started taking random shots across the sky and when I downloaded them this is what I got.

This is the same location that I've seen my star objects last summer, but at night. The nice weather is just around the corner and you can bet I'll be out there with my camera in hand!

Warmest Regards.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Summerland, B.C. - Over Lake Okanagan Black Triangle With Lights On Each Corner

Posted: January 3, 2008

Date: March 2005 Time: 3:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: 1. Triangular Ship, 2.Opalescent ball coming out of the ship.

Full Description of event/sighting: Reluctant to bring this up but I have been having strange nighttime apparitions which seem to be harmless but are becoming more and more frequent. Have been having these for 9 or 10 years. Anyway aside from that have had many curious and odd things happen.

I would like to start with my sighting in March 2005 at 3:00am in Summerland, B.C.. I was visiting relatives in Summerland, B.C. and go there regularly, on this particular evening oddly enough we were discussing UFO's and my comment was, "How could you not believe there are UFO's, or other types of beings. The universe is so big we would be arrogant to think we were the only beings to exist." There was some agreements and disagreements and the conversation fizzled out and eventually everyone went to bed.

I was staying in my cousins house, in the bedroom attic with the head of my bed facing south. I woke up looking out of the north window and it was very bright out and didn't think much of it. I then looked out the south window at the head of my bed to see if the light was coming from the south. When I turned to look out of my bedroom window it was anything but bright, in the middle of the sky, probably about 1/4 mile from me over the Okanagan Lake was a beautiful black triangle with lights on each corner. I pinched myself and patted myself down to make sure I wasn't dreaming, and was stunned and frightened. It was really beautiful and smooth and black. I thought maybe for a moment it was a new type of plane, like a stealth. But I knew at once it wasn't.

I wanted to run downstairs and tell my cousin but, #1. I didn't want to freak her out and #2. I was afraid to move. Anyway it silently hung in the air and did not move, I didn't sense it was hovering at all, it was just there as still as anything. The triangle was probably about as large as a football field and extremely smooth and beautiful to look at. While I was looking at this UFO or whatever it was, this huge opalescent ball, (something like a bubble full of soap) came right up out of the top of it and hovered for a few seconds then flew straight up in the air and disappeared. By now I was totally freaked out and ran downstairs to get my cousin and of course by the time I could calm down and tell her what happened we ran back upstairs and it was gone. Naturally my cousin thinks I'm a nut and had too much to drink.

I have always been a believer of things that are unusual and strange to us that the majority of people refuse to think is possible, this event has totally solidified my belief in UFO's, or whatever you want to call them. I know what I saw and regardless of what anyone thinks, there is something going on here that our government is well aware of and has been for many years.

My ex-husband and I have also witness ball lightning floating through our bedroom window in 1994. It floated around the room very slowly then left with an explosive crashing sound through our night light. Nothing was damaged, although it sounded like the light shattered . My ex husband is about as cynical and skeptical as they come, so, slightly happy that such a skeptic actually saw this strange phenomena.

Further back in the 70's my aunt and I witnessed a huge fireball in the Nevada desert. We were on our way to Disneyland for a family trip (I think I was 10) I was in our camper on top of the higher bunk with the window facing forward towards the road. My aunt and I were the only people to witness this huge fireball that seemed to come toward us then blow up. The funny thing was that my aunt and I never talked about it until 20 years later. She has also been a witness to UFO's. Although, I have great interest in Ufology she doe's not, but certainly cannot deny what she has seen.

To tell you the truth this frightens me a bit and have read alot of books on the subject and have come to a few of my own conclusions, mostly conspiracy. I certainly hope letting you know about this doe's not open a can of worms for me but have wanted to chat about it for some time. I did report this incident to UFOBC I believe. Anyways, hope this info is useful information and would be happy to help out with your organization. Sincerely.

Thank you to the witness for this really interesting report.

Calgary, Alberta Electronic Humming Noise

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 1, 2005 Time: Between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

I was reading from one other person on here who was in Fredericton NB Back in 1985 they said they heard a electronic humming noise. Last night when I was on the pc here, it was between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. I was playing my games at pogo.com. It was quiet because my mother was sleeping. Well I heard this noise that sounded quite like that. I looked outside and our backyard light went on and made me jump. But the noise would rise and fall.

The humming was really weird. This only lasted I think was between 1 and not even 4 minutes. I'm in Calgary in the SW part of Haysboro. I cant seem to get the noise out of my head. Because of last night I couldn't sleep, and when I did get to sleep, waking up in the AM as I had a really bad headache. The skies last night was very cloudy because we get Chinooks. And last night there weren't any this time (Chinooks). The clouds looked as if it was going to snow, but it didn't. Today Feb 2nd I saw what looked like storm clouds, My mother pointed out to me about the chemtrail that this one plane looked very dark, even tho it was not very sunny out today. I have never seen dark chemtrails before so I'm wondering if that's normal or not.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Kelowna, British Columbia Two Unknown Objects

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 04, 2005 Time: Daytime

Here are a couple of pictures I took over Lake Okanagan in Kelowna today. One of the pictures appears to have two objects in the sky. If you look down diagonal left of the bigger object, towards the center of the picture, there is another smaller object that is farther away. The picture of myself was taken first, and if you look in the picture of myself, there is nothing in the sky or anything to indicate there was dirt on the lens. This picture of myself was taken about eight seconds before the picture with the objects. The camera was sitting on the ground for both pictures.

The one of myself was on the timer. Then I walked over to the camera and pressed the shutter again as the camera was on the ground, and it took a picture right away because I forgot that I had to reset the timer for another auto shot. It's hard to tell but maybe you can get a better look. And the funny thing is after I took that second picture and packed up my camera, I thought to myself it would be amazing if a UFO appeared in one of my pictures. So maybe it is wishful thinking, although I am fairly intuitive. I took the pictures at Paul's Tomb which is just a bit north of downtown Kelowna, on the east side of the lake. The picture is looking north over the lake. Hope to hear what you think.

Thank you to the witness for sending in the report and photos.

Towards Grouse Mountain, Vancouver B.C. Various Sightings

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 2, 2005 Time: 02:00

02:00 Feb. 02,05 - was lying in bed looking out the window towards Grouse Mountain. The sky was fairly cloudy but the mountains were mainly clear revealing the lights on the ski runs. All of a sudden a large yellow flash lit up the cloud right above the mountain, appeared to be heading in a ENE direction and appeared to be a large object passing through or behind the cloud. Almost looked like a lighting bolt but colour and appearance not quite right. So I will call it an unknown.

18:00 to 19:00 Feb. 06,05 - Few clouds along the tops of the mountains, with a lot of clear spots. I aimed my camera at the top of Grouse Mountain. and left it running. When I played the tape back I noticed quite a few white orbs going back and forth mainly in an E to W or the reverse direction. Orbs appeared to be flashing and were not in the main overly bright except on about every fifth flash when they got really bright. I could not make out any coloured lights as in regular aircraft. As for distance they were flying behind the clouds so may have been fifty miles away. I did see a number of small planes and they were all flying on this side of the clouds and were easily made out by their flashing lights. When I started taping the sky was still a little light which the night vision made almost like day. I tried zooming in on some of the white orbs but could not make out any sort of fuselage or structure just the white orbs which appeared to be self luminescent. Speed appeared to be about the same as the small craft flying on this side of the mountains.

21:00 Feb. 06,05 - Sky appeared to be mainly clear, I noticed a number of small aircraft flying back and forth alongside the mountains. My attention was caught by a craft flying east along the side of Seymour Mountain. and for a few moments I was puzzled by what was wrong with it. It was showing what appeared to be two large white landing lights surrounding a large red light behind that was another large red light and then a large green light and another large red light. I grabbed my binoculars thinking maybe it was a chopper of some sort. I was unable to see the fuselage clearly enough to make out what it was, as it flew over Pt. Moody the white (landing lights?) went out as well as two of the big red lights leaving just the red light on the nose and the green light towards the rear. It finally dawned on me that none of the lights were blinking light normal aircraft. I grabbed my video camera and started shooting.

I tracked the craft past the tower across the street and until my building walls got in the way. When it came out from behind the tower across the street I was looking at the back of it and noticed another red light was showing although I could still see the red light on the front which appeared to be under the front of the craft. The image on the camera was to small to make out any detail but when I played the tape back on my TV. I could just make out what appeared to be a craft with a side profile similar to a stealth bomber. Kind of a hump in the front tapering back to a very slim profile. When I was looking at it from the rear it seemed to be a V shaped object, about like an arrow head, say about twice as long as it was wide. It seemed to have, as I said, the big red light on the nose and on large red and one large green on the each corner of the rear. The object appeared to be grey or perhaps silver not black like the bombers and I could not make out any wings or hear any noise from it. From the rear it still appeared to be almost flat between the lights and tapering up into the hump towards the front. Sure wish I could download it into my computer just to see if I could enhance it a little and get a better look at it.

Thank you to the witness for their reports.

Vernon, British Columbia Appearance Like A Cotton Ball Illuminated

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 7, 2005 Time: 3:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I was in my favorite coffee shop in downtown Vernon facing east looking toward Silver Star Mountain. I watched as a contrail appeared from the eastern horizon. In front of the contrail was what seemed to be a white vehicle. The sky was bright blue with clouds at high altitude.

The vehicle was not distinct at the distance, but it was clearly ahead of the contrail it was leaving. I watched the contrail stop and the vehicle pick up speed. I followed it and checked it against the background clouds for wings or a familiar shape. I can describe it as a cotton ball illuminated from the inside the size of a pea at arms length. It passed quickly through the southern sky heading west blending into the clouds and as it flew overhead into a cloud it did not continue on but disappeared in the cloud.

Take care.

Edmonton, Alberta White Bright Light

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 11, 2005 Time: 5:30 p.m.

02/11/05 About 5:30 p.m. Edmonton view from downtown looking North East towards Grant McEwan College witnessed from 9th story apartment window. White bright light, size unknown?, above and behind Grant Mc McEwan College, bigger and brighter than Venus or Sirius, so bright at first I thought it was a plane landing and thinking it had just turned and its light was facing me as we're close to the city center airport. I've been watching the skies around here for 3-4 years now by this airport so I'm pretty familiar with the area and I've seen planes turn in like that many times and all of a sudden there's a bright light in the sky as cause the plane is facing you.

I've seen lots of planes land and take off, the Air 1 cop heli all night many nights for the past 3 years zipping around the city, along with Stars the medic heli also some military and army helis that sometime look black. What ever it was last night it was at the altitude as if it was a plane coming in to land and just appeared out of nowhere abit above McEwan College. It was about 5:30 p.m. were looking at the computer monitor ordering food off B.P's menu online, the computer is against the wall right beside the window all I have to do is turn my head 15 degrees to the left and I'm looking at the area I witnessed it in last night. It was really bright I found it abit low in altitude to be a plane coming in to land, I thought maybe it was Air 1's searchlight than cause it was that bright and seemed like it wasn't descending in altitude like a plane does. Just hovering in low altitude. At that moment I said to my wife in a sarcastic manner "look a UFO", thinking it was Air 1's searchlight.

I looked back at the monitor for 5 seconds still seeing it out of the corner of my eye and than I looked back at it thinking I should grab the binocs which were at arms length on the table but thought I had seen white wings by the lights? Anyways looked back at the monitor for another 5 seconds or so than looked back out and it was gone. I got up out of my seat right away and had my face pressed to the window, which is 2-3 feet away as I couldn't see a plane or heli as I expected. Green and red blinking light of a plane or the red light of the heli. Nothing! If it was the heli it would have been somewhere close in the vicinity and there was nothing. If it would have been a plane it would have crashed into one of Grant McEwan Towers by now or where Safeway is mini mall strip is??? I stood there at the window scanning the sky for something, but nothing could be seen. I was flipping out on my wife who by than had taken my seat and was looking at the menu now "Honey, that really was a UFO"! Total time of sighting: 15-20 seconds.

Oshawa/Whitby, Ontario A Small Amber Light

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 12, 2005 Time: 11:55 p.m.

Hi Brian, I would like to report a sighting similar to two others seen here in the Oshawa/Whitby townships. I live in western Oshawa, a stone's throw away from the Whitby's border. This was seen Saturday, February.12, 2005 at exactly 11:55 p.m. The sky was very clear, I stepped out on the deck facing west for a smoke. I witnessed a small amber light traveling west towards Whitby's direction. The amber light behaved like the others, flew horizontal over neighboring homes. This very small light was in fact seen for 3-4 seconds and vanished, it was flying at about no more than 100-200 feet max. The speed, I'm going to guess, would be 40-60 mph. This will now confirm a pattern observed of the other two similar sightings that have happen previously over neighboring homes and coincidentally happened on two other Saturday evenings only months ago.

The only difference of these two other sightings from this recent one, is the color was neon green. Same brief appearance, added with the vanishing act in a 3-4 second window. I'm going to guess or speculate that these type of sightings are probes, winking in and winking out. Obviously, they do have the ability to cloak. No other witnesses were with me, but a friend in Oshawa has confirmed he too has also seen this type of sighting before. I feel this should be reported and wonder what they are up to, maybe some kind of surveillance? I also wanted to comment, that your reports on your site, are in fact growing in a incredible rate, very interesting. Enjoy and keep up the excellent job.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Simon Fraser University, Burnaby B. C. Object Moves Quickly

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 14, 2005 Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

The wind was blowing pretty good so I set my camera to time exposure and aimed it over towards Simon Fraser University. After the sun had gone down I set it to night shot and slowly panned eastward across the mountain tops. The sky was quite clear and just over Heritage Mountain when I noticed what appeared to be two bright stars sitting side by side just over the ridge of the mountain. I don’t usually see many stars in that location so I stopped and started to zoom in on them. I planned to just leave the camera aimed at that spot and see if anything turned up.

But I had just started to zoom when the star on the left or west side, took off at a high speed in an easterly direction. It moved so fast it was just a streak of light on my viewfinder. Because my camera was still on time exposure I didn’t managed to catch it. But later when I played the tape back I found an usual white oval shaped object with a white V shaped tail, the white oval object itself was not unusual but I’ve never seen one with a tail. My camera was running at one second exposure every thirty seconds and the object was only showing for the one second.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Port Coquitlam, Burke Mountain Flashes Of light

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 15, 2005 Time: Between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

From approximately 18:00 to 23:00 I left my camera aimed at about a 45 degree angle over Burke Mountain twice during that time I picked up a number of flashes of light and when I stopped the tape and zoomed in on them I found two of them to consist of two ovals one above and slightly to the right of the other, the top oval was pink and the bottom purple and they were connected by a purple tube. During that time I also spotted what appeared to be satellites passing over in a southeasterly direction, when I zoomed in I found the first to be 3 round white objects connected by a tube and the 2nd. consisted of 7 round white objects which appeared to be touching each other. Just before 23:00 there was a really bright flash and when I checked found it to be a large single oval a brilliant blue in color similar to that of a bottle of Listerine. Also saw a number of normal satellites passing over.

Waterloo, Ontario Three Very Bright Objects

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 17, 2005 Time: 11:20 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Circular lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving home after bowling and noticed 3 very bright objects in the sky - not moving and definitely not stars as they were very bright.

I kept looking up and driving when one of the lights started getting smaller and smaller - which took only about 2 seconds for it to disappear. At this point I was just staring up. The other two lights did the same thing right after. In all, the sighting only lasted about 10 seconds, but I have never in my life seen that kind of stuff in the sky.

I just can't believe what I saw because it was so out of the ordinary. Hopefully this information helps someone who is researching such phenomena.

Whitby, Ontario Three White Lights With Another Red One

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 24, 2005 Time: Approx: 6:50 p.m.

Hi Brian, Tonight, driving home from the west on the 401 (Feb.24, 2005 at approx. 6:50 p.m.) on this "full moon" night, there it was! I observed three white lights with a single red light in the center of the craft, it was hovering over slightly northeast east of my position, I'm going to guess it was "triangular". This hovering craft, was definitely over Whitby, as I watched it while driving towards to the east.My distance from the object was about 4 miles approx.and at a altitude of 2000-3000 ft.As I drew closer to it, it started to move off over the east of Whitby and over Oshawa,Ontario.

This one is a new one, could it have been military? It was definitely not a helicopter, it was way too long, not to mention the lighting sequence. The red light seem to be rotating. I flashed my headlights on and off twice, while driving. It appeared to flash back, but not brightly, there was a difference in its lighting tone. After that happened as I drew closer to it, that's when it started to move off. Now, other people must have seen this one. Maybe, this report on this sighting may be the first and may well not be the last. Other witnesses over Whitby and Oshawa, should report this. I'm sure if anybody had seen it they were dumb stricken.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vancouver, B.C. Witnesses Reports Up To 17 Lights

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 26, 2005 Time: Continued for a period of time.

Hi Brian, They are still there! Two bright red lights spaced a fair distance apart and a cluster of white, orange and red lights together in formation and another three light red lights in a straight line and beside them, a lone light orange off to the side a fair distance but at the same level as all the rest.

They keep disappearing and reappearing. The cluster eventually got smaller and smaller. Then they disappeared.

Then the two red lights disappeared about 30 seconds later.

Then we looked at the other side and every one of them were gone. Next thing we knew, the sky where they were was covered in what looked like fog. Then the fog disappeared.

Still nothing. Waited about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes and the two bright red lights came back but slightly over to the west more and the cluster reappeared as only four.

We've got footage! It's freezing out there and we are so pumped up that it's kind shaky. There is clear footage though too. We are finding another tape because they are still there. And I'm pretty sure were seeing some major amounts of contrails. Well, I will give you a full story later. I'm going back outside to set up a better system for the camera. Talk to you soon!

Vancouver, B.C. Numerous Lights Light Up The Night Sky

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 26, 2005 Time: Around 7:30 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research Note: After receiving a few reports on the sighting over Vancouver, closer to the Vancouver International Airport I decided to make some telephone calls to see if any others were filing a report to the authorities. I called the Richmond Detachment of the RCMP and they did take one call over the lights observed in the area. I am still looking into the event.

Hi Brian, It is now 11:04 p.m. We have been watching them since about 7:30 p.m. We called the Vancouver Airport, but the girl there, I think she thought I was crazy or something. She totally dismissed me. Told me no one has seen anything.

I just watched them all disappear again. And now there is alot of cloud cover in that area. But the rest of the sky is totally clear. I got some real close-up footage of the two bright red lights and they seem to be spinning very fast. The footage is amazing. With the naked eye, they look to be staying in one place but with a close-up of the video camera, they were moving around and the ball of light was changing (getting bigger, then smaller, then swirling around and poof!, disappearing and then reappearing in an instant. I can't believe what we have just seen. I called my two best friends over and they watch them till they had to go home and go to bed. We are all awestruck. One of them doesn't believe in UFOs at all. She is very perplexed right now and she has footage with her video camera too.

The cluster also got bigger and smaller again too. First there was 3, then 8, then 15, then 17. All in a manner of seconds. It was really freaky. About 45 - 60 minutes later, they all started disappeared the same way they appeared (a few at a time).

Will check back with you soon. They are still gone. It is 11:18 p.m..

Take Care.

Langdale, B. C. Unusual Object Observed From The BC Ferry Terminal

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 26, 2005 Time: 9:55 a.m.

A fellow telephoned me on Sunday, February 27, 2005 to report a sighting of a strange object he witnessed on February 26, 2005 at 9:55 a.m. He was in the parking lot at Langdale which is the BC Ferry Terminal. He was waiting for his wife to arrive as she was traveling back home from Vancouver, B.C. While standing in the parking lot with his back turned toward the ocean the man glanced up and saw two elongated, shiny silver objects and in the center of the two he was able to see a fuzzy grayish patch. As he followed the object with his eyes, it made a shape 45 degree turn where the two elongated objects turned into a circular shape thing as he put it. After the turn it quickly became just a point of light and quickly vanished in about two seconds. The altitude of the object was approximately 8,000 feet and no sound was heard what so ever coming from the object.

Thinking at first it might have been an aircraft, he ruled this out due to not seeing a tail or wings on it, or any other features one would see on an normal aircraft. The witness "guessed" it may have been about 70 to 80 feet in length. After the event was over he turned to other people who were there, asking if they happened to see the object, but no others did.

It was clear out at the time of the sighting, not a cloud in the sky.

Thank you to the witness for this report.

Coquitlam, British Columbia Fast Moving Round Red Lights

Posted: January 2, 2007

Date: February 5, 2005 Time: 6:40 a.m.

Number of witnesses: Just myself Number of objects: 1 or 2 Shape of objects: Round

On Sat morning, Feb 5th, I was driving home on Lougheed highway heading West to East when I saw an object in the sky. The morning was perfectly clear and there were no clouds in the sky. I remember it well because the moon was out and that was what I was looking at when I noticed this object. I was rounding a bend just before the Port Mann bridge when I looked to my right to see the moon but saw something else was there. I thought it was a helicopter at first. It was two round red lights gliding towards the East from West. They were very bright and pulsating, Not alternating like a helicopter or plane, but simultaneously.

The lights were very clear and had NO glare, as you would see when looking at a plane? I watched the two pulsating lights glide towards my left and kept my eye on it while I hit the small underpass by the bridge. As I came out The object had already covered a lot of ground and was heading towards the mountains to the East. It was out of my sight in less then 10 seconds. I found it really intriguing enough to mention to only a few close people who I knew wouldn't doubt me. It really may have been a plane or helicopter but it really didn't look like any that I've seen before? With the Richmond airport near by and Pitt Meadows close as well, I have seen planes and helicopters my whole life. As I said this was different. It moved way to fast and covered way too much ground in 10 seconds to be a conventional craft at least.

I'm not too familiar with all the types etc so to me it just seemed very strange. I am not one to cry wolf as I know a lot of thing can be explained, But I also know that some cannot. If this was an airplane or helicopter then I'm sorry for wasting your time but I just had to know. I hope you can shed some light on this for me in case someone else saw it too? On a final note I decided to make this report after seeing many other strange occurrences being reported in that similar area on your website. This gave me the confidence to accept that maybe what I saw was really something other then a conventional plane or helicopter.

P.S I love your website, Keep up all the good work.

Ruskin, British Columbia V- Shaped Craft With Lights

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 15, 2005 Time: Approx: 6:28 p.m.

On February 15, 2005 I was driving along the Lougheed Highway just before Ruskin (near Mission, British Columbia). I saw in the sky around 272th and Lougheed a craft coming towards me that looked like the stealth bomber. It was a V-shape coming towards me with white lights lighting up the entire V about 6 per side (can't remember exactly). Some trees obscured my view temporally and I was looking up to see what I would see once I got closer. Just before 280th and Lougheed I looked out my side window and saw a craft that is best described by the news item below. This triangular shaped object had four huge light panels on the underneath side and I was looking right at the underside of the craft as it hovered over the side of the road.

I was driving still at about 70 km at this point with about six cars behind me. It was dusk. I looked out my side window three times rather quickly and each time the craft was there. I could not pull over because the road at that point is caving in and there is nowhere to pull off safely. When I got past it I looked at my clock. It was 6:28 pm. I looked behind in my rearview mirror but it was gone.

Just had a feeling that it had to be man made (US military) and that the people inside were having a laugh scaring us.

North of Pickle Lake, Ontario Six Lights Lined Up At Tree Top Level

Posted: January 2, 2008

Date: February 7, 2005 Time: 2:45 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Oval, with six yellowish lights on the side.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were on our way back to Wapekeka, via a winter road. We were about half way between Pickle Lake and Kingfisher Lake, when I noticed lights just above the treetops to my left. First I thought it was a low flying aircraft but it was moving too slow. So I asked my girlfriend if she sees what I'm seeing, and she said yes. She, in turn, asked her nephew if he sees anything and he said yes, that he observes the lights. We continued driving and talked about what we saw when we noticed some kind of light ahead in the woods. This area is kind of hilly and the road is very winding in some areas. We were coming up on a hill when ahead we saw bright lights in a line, six in all, in the woods. I thought the lights were coming from a semi, but we didn't see any semi tire tracks in the snow. we kept heading towards the light thinking that it was a truck of some sort, as we got closer that's when the road turned the opposite direction so we just continued driving home.

Additional Information:

In response to your questions, I submit the following: It was a clear night, the UFO was slowly moving above the treetops west of the vehicle, slightly off to the side but not directly over head, one thing I forgot to mention, is that our vehicle started to act strangely in terms of the engine seemed to be rattling around, when the UFO was closest to us. The area is all woodland area with clearings from old forest fires. There are no airports or airforce base in close proximity. There are no military/research installation of any kind. It's just a winter road that is usually open for traffic from about mid-January to mid-March every year.

Ucluelet in Vancouver Island, Glowing Green Disk Shaped UFO

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 2, 2005

Happy New Year and Greetings, Hi, Brian Vike this is a second time I notice UFO on webcam.

This is a long sighting and I have all the pictures and exact location of the webcam with map and reference objects in separate pictures.

This sighting happened during morning hours of January 2, 2005, at time of the sunrise with ceiling unlimited and temperature around 3 degrees Celsius. The location of this sighting is at 48° 55' N 125° 32' W, Amphitrite Point lighthouse near the town of Ucluelet in Vancouver Island, near the Port Albion. Number of witnesses is not known but I expect anybody in that area would have seen it.

The webcam is directed towards the South East. There is no need for any enhancement because the UFO is completely viewable and seems to be coming down towards the ground because it is getting bigger and bigger as next 30 minutes of photos show. There is a huge green glow to the UFO. The Glow around the UFO gets bigger as approaches the webcam. I am not able to pinpoint its exact size, but I have a reference picture which might help you calculate it. The duration of this sighting from when it was first noticed until its glow was last distinguishable was 3 hours later. Therefore, I believe it was hovering in that area. No trails of smoke were seen. The object seems to be using magnetic propulsion system because of its amazing glow, its hovering mode and no smoke trail. The UFO started from flying above Barkley Sound and came closer to Amphitrite Point and somehow changed direction and started going towards Spring Cove and fish processing plant nearby, very slowly.

This a sequence of photos taken every 30 minutes starting at 16:30 UTC or 08:30 PST each of files are name starting with UTC clock underscore PST clock. These pictures were downloaded from Environment Canada’s website which is WeatherOffice.ec.gc.ca official online-presence for meteorological information and public forecasts. There are 3 maps and one reference photo of this area. The last file is the file of all the sightings saved from Environment Canada’s website to show that these pictures are credible, and the duration sighting was 3 hours.

Thank you, and Have Great New Year.

Surrey B.C. Triangular Star Formation

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 03, 2005 Time: Approx: 8:00 and 10:00 p.m.

Last night was really clear and cold so I was looking around at approx. 20:00 and noticed a triangular star formation near where I saw those lights flash on and off the other night. One of the stars was really bright so I aimed my camera at the formation and just left it running as usual. 40 X with the night vision on. When I played it back I noticed the bright star seemed to be rotating, so I used the built in zoom to magnify it to about 200 X. or 5 times the optical zoom of the lens. Anyway when I freeze framed the image I saw a white ball of light with 4 greyish oval objects grouped around it ( It looked very similar to what I attempted to draw ) 3 grouped close together and the other offset.

The white light was reflected off the oval objects. Going one frame at a time showed the oval grey objects to be rotating around the light. Giving the impression at normal speed that the whole object was rotating. I meant to copy it to VHS but forgot and recorded over the entire tape.

Around 22:00 I was just panning around the sky looking for anything unusual and found either the same star or one very similar but when I zoomed in and froze the frame found it to have only two of those oval grey objects, directly opposed to each other and rotating around the central light. Also found several of those flashing multi coloured stars or what ever they are. Very pretty when viewed one frame at a time but they are old hat now. Those lights with the oval objects are something new for me.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Montreal, Quebec Triangular Shaped Object

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 2, 2005 Time: 2:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangular

Full Description of event/sighting: It was quite early in the morning of Sunday, January 2nd 2005 at about 2:30, when my girlfriend and I were looking out our window and noticed an extremely bright flickering light in the sky which immediately caught our attention. It seemed quite odd because we don't normally see many stars in the sky due to the fact we live in downtown Montreal, and what's even weirder was that there wasn't any other stars in the sky that night because it was slightly overcast.

The object was lighting up the clouds that were surrounding it as it appeared to inch closer to us, which is when I got my binoculars to get a better look at it. After focusing my binoculars (not the best binoculars mind you), the object looked as though it was triangular shaped with red lights surrounding it on the bottom. After remaining relatively stationary for some time, it began to move horizontally and vertically so quickly that I couldn't keep it in focus with my binoculars, which was also due to the fact that I couldn't keep the binoculars steady because I started shaking.

It appeared to emit a beam for the bottom of it in a triangular shape, and at that point it was the closest it came to us that night because I got a clear view of the object and the colors it was emitting.

I immediately put on the radio and checked the news but didn't hear anything, but there is no way we're the only ones who saw this, as it was extremely noticeable to anyone looking out their window in a south-eastern direction.

It stayed in the sky for about and hour or so, then eventually traveled north beyond our view.

I have always been somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to stories of UFO sightings, but after witnessing what I did last weekend, I am no longer.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Grouse Mountain, Vancouver Lights

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 03, 2005 Time: Evening

Last night was again cold and clear so as soon as the sun went down I aimed my camera north again to see if I could see those strange objects. But alack alas, I could not find them, did see a few of the multi colored flashing lights and several of those bright blips but nothing really interesting. I started thinking about that report you had re. the lights over Grouse Mountain. so I aimed my camera at that section of sky just over Grouse. The tape runs for approx:. 113 minutes. Right of the bat, something large and leaving a white streak passed through the view finder heading East to West.

I have no idea what it was but it was fast. It only took up about two frames and appeared to be right over the mountain. I say it must have been large as the width of the streak would have covered the entire ski run. About the only thing I've seen that fast is a bolt of lighting and that is not what that was. Anyway when the tape was played back I counted approx:. 25 of those flashes of light, which really surprised me as I've never noticed them in that part of the sky before usually they are over towards Burke Mountain. and rarely ever more than one or two during the length of a tape.

Most appeared to be really far away and quite dim but one appeared about the size of Venus during the summer, it lasted several seconds and appeared to be flickering. I zoomed in and looked at it one frame at a time and found the object was an oval shaped white thing in one frame and the next frame there would be two of them side by side and then back to one on so on. This would make it appear really bright on every second frame, which made it appear to flicker when speeded up. Kind of interesting to watch. Also saw on the same tape two apparent satellites pass through my field of vision. One was just the normal single light and the other appeared to be two lights connected by a tube. Sort of like those strings of lights I was seeing during the summer but they were usually just looking like a string of beads joined together not separated by what looked like a tube.

Also saw one commercial jet fly across the screen and must admit it really startled me for a second as all the passenger windows were lit up and just the wing tip lights showed and with the night vision on they really look strange.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Location of Sighting: NE Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: One triangular, one rectangle/w strip.

Full Description of event/sighting: January 5, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. I was headed out for the bus and noticed the triangular cloud that was slowly moving "against" the wind, it was coming from the NE, headed slowly SE and maintained it's original shape. At first I saw it from within my home facing due E, but when I got outside it was still there, same shape continuing on SE course. I live close to the Ocean so most of our winds are from the West, especially where I am situated. While riding the bus I also begin to notice a rectangle shaped cloud (sq shape visible inside it) with a long, long white line loosely attached to it while it moved slowly as well in the SE direction. These two clouds could have been just that, but within them you could definitely see the sharp line of something that was within the white mist. Over the two hour span I watch these items move slowly, without changing direction or shape for 2 hours.

I have never seen a cloud or clouds period, move against the wind, in this direction it would have taken quite a bit of power to do so, but then they were moving almost slow enough to fall. I'm certain somebody else within the city has noticed this, but on a clear crisp day such as this, there's no doubt someone had to see these. Clear day, cool, little to no clouds other than what I witnessed. I have been observing quite a few aerial anomalies from where I am situated. I live in the Southern part of Vancouver city, up high, 10 minutes from the airport, and fully know the fly times and routes. These were not planes, they were for all intents and purpose cloud covers for something that did not want to be seen on a clear day. These two sightings remind me of the big "jellyfish" cloud but triangular and rectangular. I am just puzzled at it. This is my first report, it won't be my last I guess.

Additional Information:

Now Brian...my first spotting this was due east at 11:59 a.m today, 01-05-05. and I was preparing to go out. I ended up watching this triangular sighting for about 35 minutes in awe, and finally got up and left. Walked two blocks to 41st and Victoria, the entire sight was still above and highly visible, although I knew it was lingering far longer than it should have, every other whisp of clouds had long since disappeared, but both sightings began in the same place and moved equally slow to the SE. My estimate for total length of time for both sightings is approximately 1 hour and ...say 43 minutes, now then.....not bad for two different shapes, with tails, going same direction no other clouds around in a clear blue sky.....when was the last time you saw a triangular cloud or rectangle shaped one? This was the hook for me, = reporting.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Houston, B.C. Shrinking Bright Light Over Farmers Field

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 6, 2005 Time: 5:45 a.m.

I talked to a witness who is located just south of the town of Houston, B.C., the person lives just off of Buck Flats Road and at 5:45 a.m. on January 6, 2005 she went out to start their truck early due to the cold weather and her husband heading off to his work place. As the lady walked towards the truck she looked towards the north and saw an extremely bright light, stationary low over the tree-line. The weather conditions at the time was cloudy and snowing.

She jumped into the truck and started it up, then got back out to watch the light in the sky which she knew looked out of place due to the location of it. It was sitting over top of a local neighbors fields and just above the tree tops. At one point the light did seem to shrink in size, or brightness and disappeared. It wasn't seconds later that it reappeared looking brighter than before. Eventually the object started to move towards the west where the witness finally lost sight of it. There was no sound reported coming from the object, matter of fact if it had of been an airplane or helicopter she would have certainly heard the sound it was making. The total amount of time the lady was able to view the object was for approx: 10:00 minutes.

Thank you to the witness for this report.

Surrey, B. C. Object Appeared To Look Like A Metallic Disk

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 11, 2005 Time: Early morning

Hi Brian, Sky is fairly clear tonight again, so pointed my camera north at about a 45 degree angle, set at about 20X optical. When I checked the tape later saw a few of the usual blips of light plus what appeared to be a satellite heading in a SW direction, it was not very bright but I tried zooming in on it just for curiosities sake. It looked a bit like a metallic disk but have my doubts, still think it just satellite.

Additional Information:

I would guess the first object would not have been any further north than the Fraser River. In the video its hard to tell but it appears to be larger than a commercial jet such as a 737 but similar in size to a 747 on approach to the airport.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Surrey To Coquitlam, B.C. Large Bright White Object

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 11, 2005 Time: Approx: 7:15 p.m.

At approx. 19:15 a large bright white object went across the screen faster then a normal plane. When I checked found it to consist of three sections two narrow ones on the outsides and a larger one in the center each section appeared to be made up of eight overlapping rectangles. There also appeared to be flashing lights on the narrow sections which made a large bulge when they came on about every few frames. There was also a triangle of light which appeared just to one side for a few frames. I tried drawing it but did not do a very good job but it will give you a rough idea. There appeared to be beams of light or exhaust coming from both ends and a glow around the whole object.

About 25 minutes later object number 2 flew north across the screen also faster then a plane and making a fairly sharp turn towards the west. At first I thought it was the same object but when I checked found it to be composed of three smooth oval shapes with out the jagged edges of the earlier one. The one on the left appeared to have a slight bluish tinge to it while the right one had a slight pinkish tinge, center section was bright white, I can’t duplicate the tinge so left them mainly white. Appeared to be exhaust or beams of lights coming from both ends of this object also. If they were lights then they were backwards, converging to a point instead of fanning out. I thought they might possibly be planes but my window was open and there was no sound from them although I heard a large jet going over right after the first one went by but at the speed it was going it would have been long gone. I also tried taping a couple of jets which went over a little while later and they didn’t look anything like the two earlier objects.

Additional information:

The second object came across Surrey from the south then appeared to be turning west over Coquitlam, it appeared to be about half the size of the first one but that might just have been because it was further away. I am surprised I didn't see them with my eyes as they were really bright, much brighter than any planes I've seen. But I was playing Pacman when the first went by and watching TV when the second passed. I had to move my computer desk so now have to turn sideways to see out the window. Anyway when my wife came home I showed the tape to her and she said that they looked just like what she used to see flying over Fiji headed towards Australia.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Southern Scarborough, Ontario Multiple Objects

Posted: January 1, 2007

Date: January 27, 2005 Time: Daytime

Now that you have viewed the pictures, I can give you a detailed report of what I observed with my eyes. On Thursday January 27, 2005, I was facing south, cutting off the sun's direct rays with part of the building's top dock door, making it just right to view the rich blue sky. I noticed a single white (almost light) object moving from north to south heading towards Lake Ontario, which would be 4-5 miles away from my position.

Temperature was between - 16 to -20 degrees C. After the first one went by approx.100+ mph, I brought my camera to take photos. I noticed these objects moved in intervals, one at a time, about every 30-60 seconds. All were moving in a straight south flight path, about 1000-1500 feet high, I would guess. You only had a window about 6-10 seconds to view each one passing, due to the direct sun's rays to the south. I tried to show a co-worker having a smoke, her eyes were too sensitive to the sun's glare, and she also wears glasses. She tried, but gave up to quick, and left, after finishing her smoke.

Sad, she didn't have the patience, witnesses are helpful, but I feel photographic evidence is better than a 1000 witnesses now. I can tell you that all of the many objects viewed in the photographs were not seen with the naked eye, I saw one prominent object at a time, maybe two, not dozens. As seen in the photos. Brian, I have sent you previous photo's of orbs taken on the following dates: Thursday, January 6, 2005 and also Thursday, January 20, 2005 and now you have Thursday, January 27, 2005. Do you see a pattern? Not to mention the unmarked black helicopter, Thursday January 13, 2005 around the same time, 11:55 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Today, on January 28, 2005, around the same time, viewed some more, and asked one of my previous UFO witnesses to view this one.

He said, yes!, I think I saw something, he too had problems with the sun's glare also. You can't start a spectacle too long at work. He seemed convinced he saw something, so we left it at that and I told him to leave my area,as he was not on lunch break. I snapped a couple more pictures, I'll send them to you if they are worth viewing. The good news is, I'm going video next week, and we'll see how that pans out!!!! Anything else you want to know, I'm here with you on this. I know there will be better photos and video coming in this year as it should pick up this spring like all the other previous sightings in the last two years, especially in the month of August. And brother I'm ready, even for contact!

Take care and thx very much.Enjoy!

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Calgary, Alberta Tube Or Rod Shaped Object

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: January 11, 2005 Time: 3:12

Location of Sighting: N.W side of Calgary viewed from U of C. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Tube or rod.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was heading down the road past McMahon Stadium towards the university and I was a little lost. So I looked up at a sign to see where I was and I happened to see a white rod off in the distant sky gradually rotate again and again. I watched it move towards the east in a slow pace and then stop. And then it moved up into the sky very fast and disappeared.

I've never seen anything move like that. Nor have I ever seen anything disappear on the spot. I say on the spot only because I would expect something to fade away as it traveled out of vision (i.e - traveling into the upper atmosphere) but this thing just vanished.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Newfoundland Major UFO Sighting

Posted: January 1, 2007

HBCC UFO Research Note: I have another report in audio on the site, please look in the audio section of the website. I will be placing more audio reports up there as well. Including the NTV news clip, in audio as well. Also a report will be added shortly with photos of one person's idea of what the person believes caused the event. This sighting by multiple witnesses is still unexplained.

Date: January 16, 2005 Time: 4:47 p.m.

On Sunday, January 16, 2005 in Valleyfield, Newfoundland on a clear day Jim and Rod Howell were traveling down the road when they spotted a diamond shaped object in the sky. The men pulled their vehicle over to the side of the road, got out and watched the unusual sight. Jim said they observed the object for approximately 2 minuets, it was about 300 feet in altitude off the ground and moving slowly towards the northeast. Jim describes the object as being shaped like a diamond or an old fashioned box kite. It had blue and white coloring and it was black on it's bottom. The object measured roughly 15 feet in length and 8 feet across. There was no sound heard coming from the unknown object.

On Sunday, January 16, 2005 the object was seen in the community of Dover, Newfoundland and a week prior to this incident the same object was witnessed in Marystown, Newfoundland on January 12, 2005. What ever this thing is, it appeared to be making it's way north across the Island.

Brian Vike at HBCC UFO Research has been talking with Constable Vicki Colford from the RCMP detachment in Valleyfield, Newfoundland. She has been extremely helpful and is also looking for answers to the many reports that have been reported to her and myself. Constable Vicki Colford also has contacted NAV Canada, Environment Canada, Search and Rescue for Newfoundland and the media told her about the US Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration which were up from the United States and carrying out some testing in the area. All these agencies told the RCMP they had no aircraft flying in the areas on January 16, 2005.

Constable Vicki Colford also mentioned that NTV news interviewed Jim and Rod Howell and herself for the 6:00 p.m. television news which aired January 19, 2005. Also VOCM radio news Newfoundland ran the story and took calls from eyewitnesses on their nightly open line radio program on the same date as above. The RCMP officer told me that possibly after the story had ran on the news they might receive reports from different areas across Newfoundland which may give a more accurate tracing of the direction the object traveled. She went on to say it was seen in Dover at approximately 3:30 p.m. and her location in Valleyfield at about 4:47 p.m. If the object did keep traveling along on it's straight flight path it would have traveled through Grander and beyond.

RCMP Constable Vicki Colford mentioned that Jim Howell knew right away the object wasn't an airplane, parachute or anything easily explained. Vicki Colford tells me she was stumped after she took the report and after receiving a number of reports from area residents she is still stumped as to what this thing is.

Constable Vicki Colford said 10 people in Valleyfield witnessed the object, two people saw it in Dover which is about an hours drive north from Valleyfield and Vicki Colford received a call from another RCMP Constable from Marystown who told her he took a call from a witness who observed the object in the Marystown area on Wednesday, January 12, 2005.

Below are some of the eyewitnesses reports.

Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland

Date: January 12, 2005 Time: 7:00 a.m.

A husband and wife of Grand Bank, Newfoundland witnessed an object around the Burin Peninsula area. The couple were travelling to St. John's last Wednesday, when they saw the object near Red Harbour on the main Burin Peninsula Highway.

The retired Newfoundland Power employee, says they had just topped Red Harbour Hill about 15 kilometers north of Marystown around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 12, 2005. They were heading North on the Main Highway when the object appeared from the east. The witness says they didn't see the object go off into the distance. He said it was there and then it was gone. Similar to the sighting in New-Wes-Valley.

The January 12, 2005 sighting has many similarities to the January 16, 2005 sighting in the area.

Mount Pearl, Newfoundland Round Ball Of Light

Date: January 12, 2005 Time: Approx. 5:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: round ball of light

Full Description of event/sighting: We just came back from sliding and I looked up and saw a round ball of light, it hovered for a few seconds then took off really fast and disappeared. It was too early to be a shooting star because it wasn't dark out and there were no other stars or street lights on.

Hello, the answers to your questions are the weather conditions were a clear night and some clouds in the sky with no wind. the UFO was located in the east and somewhere in-between. The entire event lasted about 5 seconds in total time observed. The appearance of the UFO is the shape was a round ball of light and I can't specially say how high it was and it had no sound what so ever.

Sandy Cove, Newfoundland

Date: January 16, 2005

Another reported sighting of an unidentified flying object on the island. A gentleman in Sandy Cove was with some friends when they saw, what they thought was a weather balloon on Sunday afternoon. He says the object rose through the sky, then descended into the tree line, eventually landing on the ground. He says a few minutes later the object took off into the sky again.

New-Wes-Valley, Newfoundland (Valleyfield)

Date: January 16, 2005 Time: 4:47 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 4 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: round Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I heard this fascinating story today from my neighbour and his son in-law. There names are Jim and Rod.

Yesterday Jim and Rod were driving home west of Valleyfield and through town when they noticed an object approaching from the southwest going northeast. It was around 4:47 p.m. and not quite dark. The object was very visible to the naked eye. It was moving at a fast rate of speed, from the right side of the vehicle and in front of the truck. The object was about 300 to 400 feet above ground. It was a round object, approximately 8 to 10 feet in diameter and about 15 feet high. They described it as being like a huge "paint can", completely round. The color was a bluish/red and it was seen for about a minute or more. It passed in front of them. It flew over the water from the right and over a follows house. It then flew over a hill and down again and out of sight. There was no sound coming from it and no tail/trail following behind like a meteor would appear to have. There were absolutely no wings on it. They knew what they saw and when they arrived home they phoned the RCMP to report their sighting.

I was told today that the RCMP did go to the site where the incident took place and looked around. As far as I know there was nothing witness by the RCMP.

They have no explanation of who or what it was. To me its a classic UFO case.

This is a funny thing because my friend (name removed) who's Jims brother brought out our local paper for this week (The Gander Beacon) and there's a story of a UFO case that happened in March of last year. Coincidence, I guess you could call it. So, I've decided to send you this story and I'm sure you will want to follow it up. You can contact me by email or by phone. I am an avid reader of the UFO subject myself. I read all kinds of stories and I am fascinated by it all.

I'm sure if you made contact with other witnesses you will receive a detailed picture of what they saw. If you need someone to contact, please let me know as I'll be glad to help out. All the very best.

Thank you to everyone for their reports and help.

Don Mills And Lawrence, Ontario Two Lights Flying At Weird Angles

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: Mid June 2005 Time: Evening

Message: I just writing about what I thought was a UFO sighting in the Don Mills and Lawrence, Ontario area in mid June 05, I was saying goodbye to some family one night at their car by my house. Me and my cousin saw two lights flying up at weird angles and they passed one another, at the same time me and my cousin who also witness shouted "UFO". We stayed a few moments to chat when I saw these lights again moving too quickly to be any known aircraft. Then they disappeared behind some houses. I thought it would be some help if you had any more sightings in that area around that time, I'm not sure of the exact date but I can find out, email me if you have any questions. Thanks.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Georgetown Ontario Seven Lights In The Shape Of A Bird

Posted: January 1, 2008

Date: End of July 2005 Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

Message: I believe it was in July my family and I were star gazing in the back yard when we noticed a satellite in the sky .We followed the satellite across the sky when all of a sudden we noticed something following the satellite. There were 7 stars in the shape of a bird. As this bird followed the satellite it was deforming and reforming again and the disappeared. We live in Georgetown Ontario. The reason I don't remember the date is that is has been a while and we didn't know that there was a site that we could put our information on.

Additional Information:

It was the end of July 2005 and approx: 11:30 pm. The satellite was traveling from the west to the east. We were able to watch it go across the horizon. The 7 star object's lights were the same size as the satellite but seven of them. It followed the satellite for about 5 secconds and then looked like it was shaking and then disappeared. The seven star object stayed the same shape through its journey.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.
