West Kootenay Region of British Columbia Large Bright Object

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: March 29, 2004 Time: 2:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Large & bright - probably one.

Full Description of event/sighting: Both awake watching TV when an extremely bright and large object went by the bedroom window. Looked like it was flames (yellow mainly but blindingly bright) but we decided it looked that way as it was passing behind a fir tree outside our window. It traveled horizontally to the ground and made no sound whatsoever. Saw reported sighting from an airport but not naming it and think that it would have to have been seen by the Castlegar Airport in B.C.

Additional Information:

It was partially overcast, not raining, not real clear and no full moon that I recall. There was no tail or trail that we could see. The object was traveling from West to East. Not good at judging altitudes but laying in the same position on the bed the next day and looking at the fir tree it had gone behind it could not have been much above the tree tops traveling parallel to the ground. Judging from the time the object stayed in view, it would have had to be at least a few hundred feet long. Could not tell the texture because of the extreme brilliance. Since this was approx. 2 a.m. we were not looking for aircraft but this could definitely not have been an aircraft and there was no sound. We called the closest neighbor the next day but he said he was sleeping and saw nothing. The object was visible long enough for us both to say at the same time - "Holy crap, what is that?" and then it was out of sight.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

St. Johns, Newfoundland Circular with Dome

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: March 26, 2004 Time: 4:22 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Grave Yard Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 5 Shape of objects: Circular with Dome.

Full Description of event/sighting: The UFO was almost like a dinner plate with a dome on the bottom, not like most sightings. I saw about 3-4 UFO's.

I wasn't sure if it was just a new military plane or an air show from gander. I was visiting the grave of my dearly departed uncle. I was excited to actually see a UFO. I believe they aren't little green men at all. I believe they are much like us. The U.S government though is keeping their little secrets about their encounters with the Extra Terrestrials. I believe they Have met them.

Additional Information:

Yes the year was 2004. It was clear and no clouds/wind (daytime-3:47) The object was located in the eastern sky and then moved overhead. It moved very slow, and seemed to stop for a second. Slower than I expected. It was a saucer shaped object with dome on bottom, not top. About 50 feet wide and 35 feet tall. I live nowhere near an airport or military base. The altitude of the object was approximately 100/200 feet above a hill. I was able to observe the object for about 15/20 minutes.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Iron Bridge, Ontario Huge Round Ball Of Light

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: Spring of 2004 Time: 10:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Huge round ball of light.

Full Description of event/sighting: Spring of 2003 on a Sunday, Iron Bridge, Ontario, Canada, Hwy 17 East.

My wife and I were on our way back home, when about a kilometer west bound towards Blind River, we saw a huge ball of light. The light was to the north of Hwy 17, sitting just on the horizon of the hill top. We pulled over our vehicle to the shoulder of the road and got out to observe further. It was of the colors white and a bright yellow. The object was probably about 500 meters from us and hovering. We noticed two jets racing to meet the ball of light. When the jets arrived, they seem to halt immediately in the air.

Next the jets were sent back in the same direction in which they arrived as if they were recourse back. The object moved finally, and slowly hovered over us, without stopping. The most interesting thing about the whole sighting was while I observed the ball of light surrounding the object, my wife observed 3 lights of glowing red from underneath it, were I did not as it passed over us. For her it lost it glow as soon as it became over us and became just 3 lights in the shape of a triangle. The object must have been about 30 meters above us with no sound to be heard. The sighting last for over 12 minutes. The next day I asked the people I work with if they had seen anything in the sky's last night, a woman I work with observed two U.F.O's over Blind River around 6:00 p.m. and another at 8:00 p.m. I have been in the military, and have been in night missions in helicopters and seen jets in the night, and I can honestly say, that this was not military in capacity.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec Four Orange Lights

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: March 19, 2004 Time: Approx: 9:10

Location of Sighting: At home in the city. Number of witnesses: 9 Number of objects: 4 Shape of objects: Orange lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was about 9:10 at night when the phone rang. It was my daughter. She asked me to go out and to look at the sky, I did this immediately. What I've seen has totally captivated me! I screamed at my wife and at my youngest daughter to get out of home, so they can see that.

Our eyes where locked at the sky and we saw 4 orange lights that slowly traveling the sky toward west direction, of our geographic position. They were keeping a precise distance between them.

My wife bring me my little binoculars and I saw a little more closer. It was like ovals objects, and the center of theses things seemed to be of a metallic gray. Each objects was surrounded by a orange luminous hallow. Theses objects were disappeared one by one like if they extinguished.

I'm a rational and moderate men, but this observation made me realize that the more skeptical persons can be confuse.

P.S: (I speak mostly in French, so, sorry if this text have some mistakes) I've decide to contact you about what we saw because I think that your site is one of the most serious and professional that I found.

Thank you for your reading, and congratulations for your work.

Jan-March 2004??? Not sure of the exact date. Time: around 6:30 p.m.. From window of the tenth floor facing north looking at the airport tower. Object was pointed out to me by my wife saying "was it that"? About 1-2 kms from us a little higher than eye level, not sure altitude? It was by the airport it stood in place in the sky.. bluish white light. It went brighter and bigger than dim and small than repeated that 1 more time and on the third when dimmed it vanished. *POOF* Both me and my wife looked at each other in awe. Total time of sighting: 5-10 seconds.

Ottawa, Onatrio Fireball

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: March 21, 2004 Time: 7:37 p.m.

Two witnesses driving on Rosebella street with my son, between Conroy road and Bank, going towards Bank, I saw a blue green fireball with a trail behind, going almost as fast as a shooting star. It looked like going down to earth in a South-West direction, I lost it behind the houses, awaiting a big crashing noise but nothing at all. I first saw It at about the same altitude as commercial planes usually fly when they are on approach to the Airport, it happened so quickly that it is really hard to be precise with the altitude but this is what I remember.

I decided to go to the back road of Ottawa Airport since the ball was seen going toward it. No sign of the event but a few cars driving around the airport in the same direction. I'm sure lot of people saw it, this is a very clear night, crystal clear with a few light clouds floating quickly pushed by the strong wind. I'm sure the Airport radar caught it and the Canadian Forces station Letrim too, these two being very close from the place we were at the moment. Two big commercial airplanes size of a Airbus 320 arrived at the moment I was on the airport back road Letrim and there were some more on approach from a distance.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Calgary, Alberta Spherical Silver White Objects

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: Early 2004 Time: Mid afternoon

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 7-9 Shape of objects: Sphere

Full Description of event/sighting: I was walking home from the bus, and out of the NNE I noticed a line of objects moving to the SW. They were spherical silver white in colour and silent. It was difficult to judge the altitude since it was a clear day, but my best guess is that they were at or above 30,000 feet. They moved at a steady pace across the sky without any contrails. As they moved they changed from a line formation to a delta formation. They couldn't have possibly been birds as they were too high and too fast and were distinctly metallic.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sarnia, Ontario Bright Orange Object (Excellent Photos)

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: March 21, 2004 Time: Evening

Hello Brian, I just read an article about UFO's in 1977 in the Sarnia, ON. area. (http://www.ufoinfo.com/sightings/canada/770800a.shtml). (Report pasted below witness is referring to) So I decided I would share this with you since you asked for information at the end of this article. On March 21, 2004 I seen what I suspect was the same thing that is referred to in the article above.

As a matter of fact, Paul Martin, P.M. seen the same thing as it was reported in the newspaper by Jim Bronskill a day or so later. A neighbour and I both took photos of this occurrence. I have attached two of the ones that I took. For lack of a better name I referred to them as a fireball but personally think that it was an UFO.

Did you ever hear further on this incident? Regards.

Additional Information:

Hello Brian, Thanks for the quick response. I am happy someone does not think I am "loosing it" or "imaging it". (G)

I have called my neighbour's son who took a video of the UFO. He will be in touch with you but does not have a computer. I have given him a copy of the article I read which in turn has your info on it. But no phone number. Perhaps if you have one you could forward it to me and I will see he gets it. His name, etc. below. (HBCC UFO Research has removed the neighbour's full contact information)

The neighbour actually followed the object over to Canatara Park a few blocks from here so assume he has some good footage.

I have attached another photo which I took before the object got closer. I did not think that it was that good so did not send the first time.

Thank you to the witness for sending in the report and for allowing me to post the photos. The photos are copyrighted to the owner, or the person who took them. Also Monday, January 29, 2007 I will be calling the neighbour to see what information I can gather.

The witness for the above report was referring to the report she read at UFOINFO, "below". HBCC UFO would also like to point out that it is so very important to file report sighting reports as it makes a huge difference, such as in this case.

Three excellent pictures of the object can be viewed in the media area at the end of this entire report.

Thank you to this witness for the great photos and report.

Sarnia, Ontario Huge Dull Orange Sphere Shoots Into The Sky Then Stops

UFO Sighting, August 1977

Joe Dietrich & passenger.

It was barely a month past my 30th birthday, early August 1977, I was dining out with friends in a favorite downtown Buffalo NY restaurant. Time was running out for me in Buffalo for in a few weeks I would be heading to Key West Florida to begin a new life. But on this particular summer night I was to make a journey that was destined to become one of my life's most memorable experiences.

I have made this trip several times so it's a fairly predictable route from Buffalo NY to Flint, Michigan, no surprises. This was to be my last visit with my mom and sisters knowing we probably wouldn't see each other for many months. I wanted to get an early evening start out of Buffalo, but dinner with friends went quite late so I didn't hit the road until about 10:pm. I was upset at myself for making such a late departure knowing it would inconvenience my family up in Flint with me arriving in the wee hours of the morning...but I was determined to go that night.

Even considering the late time of night I actually felt rested and alert. I usually preferred driving at night, as I found it to be peaceful with little distraction and this night gave me time to reflect on my upcoming move to Florida. I was all too familiar with this route having taken it often. Because my vintage '52 Ford pickup truck had a top speed of only 55 mph it would take me about 5 hours to drive from Buffalo to Flint.....4-hours for everyone else!

Heading north out of downtown Buffalo towards the Canadian border, passing through customs, and over the Peace bridge, I was on my way. A few hundred yards into Canadian territory I spotted a college kid on the side of the road holding a sign "to Michigan". He was small of stature and appeared harmless, and I figured this passenger would make the trip less lonely and give me some interesting conversation, so I stopped to pick up the hitchhiker.

But to my dismay the young man was very tired and had very little to say, in fact he napped on and off during most of the long drive. So, to keep my mind occupied and me awake, I kept the truck radio on...and the volume low, so it would not wake the sleeper. I was remembering how scenic the Canadian countryside is during daytime with it's rolling farmland and picturesque villages...but at night it is dark and still, the towns are practically invisible, and now it's just me and my passenger in my old truck heading westward down this 2-lane winding highway on a warm August night.

I have been driving for almost 3-hours now through the Ontario countryside passing the towns of St. Catherine's, Hamilton, and London. We are now about a half-hour from the border town of Sarnia, on highway 22 (I believe), it's about 2:am pitch dark outside, the summer night is warm and the truck windows are rolled down. It's a beautiful night on this lonely country highway and my old Ford pickup is the only vehicle on the road. My hitchhiking passenger and myself are engaged in idle conversation when suddenly he is startled by something outside. He is looking out his passenger window, head slightly turned upward and exclaims, "...look over there!...what is that light above the house?" I couldn't see what he was looking at due to the angle of the object and my position in the driver's seat, so while trying to keep the truck on the road, and slowly applying the brakes, I leaned over my passenger's shoulder to get a better look at the object he was so excited about. With one hand on the steering wheel, stretching to get a look out his window, I was amazed at what I saw. Here was a 2-story white farmhouse set back maybe 100 feet from the highway but directly above the house was a large, glowing, dull orange ball or sphere almost floating or hovering in the air nearly touching the peak of the roof. It was an ominous sight, as you could clearly see the outline of the sphere through the few tall trees which surrounded the house.

We were both awestruck. "Oh my God" I said as I was trying to bring the truck to a stop, "I have to get a better look at this". I told my passenger to keep his eyes on the object, as I brought the old truck to a slow stop. Since we were the only vehicle on the road I stopped right in the middle of the highway, there was no time to pull over. Not wanting to waste time, I quickly jumped out of the truck and onto the pavement to get a full view of this magnificent orange glowing sphere hovering very still over the farmhouse. We stood there in absolute silence and gazed at this big, orange ball which was about half the size of the farmhouse.

Unfortunately I was in for a huge disappointment. While standing on the highway and trying to analyze this incredible object I reached over and slammed the truck door closed. Almost at that exact moment, and without making the slightest sound, the sphere shot quickly up into the night sky like a speeding bullet. My eyes fixated on the object as it streaked way up into the sky for a distance of what seemed like a mile, then came to a sudden stop then resumed its flight into space at a constant 45 degree angle until it was completely out of our sight. The "escape" flight from the farmhouse was at an exceptional rate of speed which seemed to take 3-seconds to make it's disappearance into space. We were quite disappointed that our encounter with the object was so brief. I calculated that our total viewing time for this extraordinary event was barely one-minute, if even that.

We were quite stunned at what had just taken place. I said to my passenger, "do you believe what we have just witnessed?" He was speechless and I was in mild shock and now more alert than I had been all night. Since my passenger had the object in his view almost twice as long as I did, I asked him to describe it in detail to me, as I could recall only a large, round sphere which was positioned over the house. The passenger described it as more of an oval shaped object, but also very large. Both of us witnessed the quick exit, heard to total silence, as we looked at each other in absolute amazement. I was cursing the fact that the object did not stay in our view longer for our own selfish investigation. This was the opportunity of a lifetime, here right in front of us, for only one minute, and then gone forever. It was almost as if by stopping the truck on the highway we sort of startled it and it then had to make a quick getaway.

Back in my old truck and on the road again we are high on adrenaline. As we continued westward towards the Michigan-Canadian border at Sarnia, we could not stop talking about what we had just seen. In my mind I had to challenge any other possible explanation for this event. I am basically a skeptic who does not wish to get carried away with blind emotion where a simple or obvious explanation might present itself. Therefore, I began to eliminate some possible causes for this event:

Was it:

1) An aircraft. NO. No engine noise, no noise at all. Completely silent.

2) A Balloon. NO. Could not move that quickly or turn at that angle.

3) The Sun....NO. The right color of the setting sun, but wrong time of day.

Wrong position in sky. Too fast.

4) Lightning...NO. No sound. Stationary. Geometric shape and exit.

5) Other........YES. Most likely extraterrestrial or UFO.

My passenger and I agreed that this object was something from "out there"...but where that is, is unknown. We were obviously not meant to study it or get closer to it than we did. Whatever was taking place in the space directly over the farmhouse or maybe even inside the farmhouse is not known. All the lights in the house were off, the residents were probably sleeping. (since it was 2:AM) Many questions were left unanswered.

As I approached the guard station at the Canadian/American border at Sarnia I decided NOT to tell our sighting story to the officers. I am confident that what I saw with my own eyes was real. I was never threatened by this object, no harm was ever directed my way, so there was no cause for alarm. I leave Canada with an experience that validates my longtime belief that we are indeed not alone in this vast universe.

One month later I moved, as planned, to Key West, Florida. I related this experience to others who would then give me that incredulous gaze that so many eye witnesses get when we bring up the subject of UFO's. But that's ok. I received a little validation a few months later in a Key West restaurant when I was introduced to a couple of tourists from Ontario. I mentioned my sphere sighting to them and they were not at all surprised....they explained that the newspapers reported many sightings in and around Ontario during that particular month. I just smiled.

My deepest thanks to Joe for a wonderful report and for retelling his experience in an audio report. Joe also granted permission to use his full name. Joe and I both would love to hear from anyone from Ontario who may have been in and around this area in August of 1977 who may have witnessed this event. Canadian Fireball Witnessed By Many - Or Was It A UFO ?

Posted: January 31, 2007

On March 21, 2004 the sky lit up with an object shooting across the Canadian nighttime sky. An fireball was witnessed from Alberta into Ontario where this story takes an unusual twist. It appears we all took it for granted that what was seen by many people to be a brilliant fireball which streaked across the sky. Even the pilot of a private jet carrying the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Paul Martin witnessed the event and reported the unidentified bright object to air traffic controllers in Edmonton while flying near CFB Suffield.

My question is, were we led to believe it was a fireball and having the story dropped from there ? Well something has caught my attention just recently and I have spoke with a person at great length today which makes me re-think the entire story we were lead to believe. Was it a fireball or an unknown object ?

My first take on this when I heard and read the reports about this event was that is must have been a fireball that traveled across a good part of Canada. Now I am not so sure as to what it was, all I know is that I will be examining this case, along with excellent video footage taken from a location in Ontario. The time frame fits with an object been reported and the fireball incident. So I guess we will see what comes out of this. Of course there is alot more information to come on what I am looking into.

I would like to request that if anyone who saw the fireball/UFO event on March 21, 2004, would you please contact me here at HBCC UFO Research.

Airdire, Alberta Bright Star Like Object

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: February 22, 2004 Time: 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, My daughters and I saw a very bright star in the sky last night that was to the left of the moon and then proceeded upwards over a period of half an hour or so. I watched it for another hour or so and it finally started to descend. This took place at approximately 7:00 p.m. and lasted until about 9:30 p.m. or so. Here are pictures of what we saw, magnified by the zoom lens.

I sent you five stills from a video I took. We have a few minutes of video of the event and I can download still shots from video.

I live in Airdrie, Alberta and we are in the Mountain time zone. The movement of the object was slow and this thing had to be very far away, as it really just looked like a super bright star. I got the video camera and did a comparison shot showing the size and brightness of the moon to this object. We don't know for sure when it came out, as we were just out on the back deck talking and happened to see it. My daughter thought it was something that she had seen on the previous night and thought it was a satellite. She said that it never moved but just as she said that, it did start to move and not in a straight line. It moved slightly up and right before going straight up.

The video seems to indicate that it is spinning and pulsating.

I would say that it had to be pretty high up in the sky, but that would also make it a very large object. I enlarged the moon by 52% and then did the same for the object. What the larger stills are of is the 52% magnification.

The moon went down first. In the meantime, as the moon descended, this object ascended then upon other timed viewings (I didn't watch it the whole time) it had moved to the right and downward, until it was out of my view.

I have pulled other frames from the video if you need them. This was definitely not a star. It was at least 20x's brighter and it moved erratically and too fast (in comparison to a star) only to stop and be suspended in one spot for at least an hour or so.

Please let me know if you need any other info.

Thank you to the witnesses for their report.

Quebec Amazing Display Of Lights

Posted: December 31, 2007

Date: End of 2004, beginning of 2005 ? Time: Evening

This is the report I read and the way they described it is what I have seen. I really can't remember when it was I know, it was night and that I was towards the end of 2004 or around 2005. I was outside going to the car and I pointed it out to my boyfriend but he made fun of it or shrugged it off. I thought it could be the lights from downtown or something. But we weren't near there. I never thought much about it after that. It's just freaky because the way the lights are described is what I had seen.

I really don't remember exactly where we were. I know we were leaving we went to the parking lot and I noticed it and then when we got into the car and started to drive the lights were moving as well..further away. I know it was night time because it was dark outside, but I can't remember if I was in Laval (Quebec) or in Montreal.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Prince George, British Columbia Lights Two Jumpers With Parachutes (Solved)

Posted: December 31, 2007

This I believe important is because I would like people who read the information below to know that we who investigate UFO sightings are looking for the truth and trying to solve cases that come into us. Know matter what the outcome is. Dozens of witnesses in Prince George, British Columbia observed this event I discuss below. Only a very few actually saw what was causing the lights.

On the evening of February 31, 2004, a large number of Prince George residents were stunned and puzzled over what they were witnessing in the night sky between 8:00 - 10:00 p.m., PST. Some called the Prince George Citizen newspaper to explain what it was they saw, and how peculiar it was. All of the witnesses, by the dozens, observed two extremely bright, orange circular lights in the sky. The lights stayed fairly close together and did not make any sudden moments. Many residents reported the lights just hanging there for a number of minutes before moving ever so slightly. HBCC UFO Research was contacted by the Prince George Citizen enquiring about it, and a staff reporter did an interview for Saturday, February 7, 2004, newspaper.

Over the weekend the telephone did not stop ringing. Many reports of orange lights came in from Prince George residents. Plus other very interesting reports for 2003 and back as far as the 1950s. Some of these reports included beams of lights hitting their vehicles as they travelled along the highway. A huge ball of light hovering over the tree tops not making any sound. A line of red balls of light sitting stationary in the night sky, etc.

After taking the calls and listening to the stories, some of the descriptions started me thinking. More folks contacted me. Some had watched the whole event unfold viewing the lights through binoculars. A retired military man was certainly the key to this case. Plus another lady who also gave a great description of the event.

I made several enquiries to the RCMP but the police had no information about the matter and took no calls from the general public over it.

I typed up a few reports below from the eye witnesses who called in.

Report #1

Report received February 7, 2004 Prince George, British Columbia

Date: January 30, 2004 Time: Between 8:00 & 9:00 p.m.

I had a call from a lady on February 7, 2004 who wanted to file a report on something she and her husband witnessed as they were driving down Tabor from 15th. They looked to the east and saw lights in the sky and thought at first it may have been an airplane. The witnesses mentioned they saw no strobe lights which they knew an aircraft would have. They reported the lights were moving rather slowly. As they drove down the road they passed by the trees which blocked their view of the lights in the sky. After they came to a clear area, they stopped the car and looked to the south and again noticed the lights.

The witnesses told me that when they saw it again, this time it appeared to look like a black balloon, or umbrella shape.

The lady said it looked as if the object would flip over, so the umbrella appearance was at the bottom and then would show up back on top. The lady and husband reported not a sound coming from it and whatever it was dropped downwards. The couple reported the lights as being white in color. The witnesses estimated they observed the event for approx: 5 minutes.

The folks didn't believe the object was very far from their location and said it wasn't that high up when they first saw it. Also they finally lost sight of the lights when they dropped down low enough that homes finally blocked their view. The people estimated the size to be roughly that of a golf ball. One other note, the witnesses said they believed that the lights were moving diagonally as they came closer to the ground.

Thank you to the witnesses for their report.

Report #2

Report received February 7, 2004 Prince George, British Columbia

Date: January 31, 2004 Time: Between 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.

A gentleman called to report seeing the orange lights witnessed over Prince George on January 31, 2004. He and his wife live near 1st & Foothills in Prince George and were planning an evening out when the walked out of their home, which faces towards the downtown area they noticed the two orange colored lights in the night sky. They said the lights were very bright and that is what caught their attention. The witness went on to say he is used to seeing helicopters and fixed winged aircraft flying over all the time, but what he could not understand was the brightness of the lights, also how close the lights were to one another. The couple stood just outside their front door watching the lights for a good three minutes, but due to them having reservations they had to get on their way. The husband wondered if it might be a UFO, his wife said it possibly might be a plane, but both still thought it looked rather odd. He told me he almost dismissed it at that time. But as they drove along 1st Avenue heading towards Tabor and not traveling very far the fellow decide it was time to pull the car over as he said one doesn't get to see anything like this very often or ever.

As they both sat watching, they were able to get a good view of what was taking place. One of the orange lights appeared to be over top of the other or maybe off to a bit of an angle to the left. Another 3 to 4 minutes passed and the bottom light started dropping off towards the left and seemed to flicker a little bit. He thought it may have been going into some of the light clouds that were present that evening, then all of a sudden the light disappeared. The other light was still visible and stayed around the same area in the sky for a little while longer. The witness estimated the last light held it's brilliance for maybe another 30 seconds before it started to flicker. It began to fade and then would become very bright again.

This went on for a very short period of time before it to vanished.

Again it was lightly overcast with a high ceiling. The witness also estimated the objects were roughly a finger length apart if one was to hold out their hand at arms length. The witness stated that the lights did sit stationary for some of the time, before moving. The witnesses reported no sound was heard, and no aircraft were seen in the area. At arm's length, using his thumbnail to guess at an approx: size of the lights, he said each one may have been one fifth of the size of his nail.

Thank you to the witnesses for their report.

Report #3

Report received February 7, 2004 Prince George, British Columbia

Date: January 31, 2004 Time: approx: 9:30 p.m.

Calls kept coming into HBCC UFO Research over the January 31, 2004 sighting in Prince George, B.C.

Below is another report from a fellow who wanted to tell me what he witnessed that evening. The evening was overcast and no stars were visible at the time of the sighting. The man went on to tell me that his daughter spotted it first and then called to the rest of the family to come out and look at the strange lights in the sky which were reported to be just over top of one of the local mountains. He explained that the color of the lights were an orange/white. The witness also said he thought there may have been a small tail behind each of the lights, but it was hard to distinguish for certain. The lights were stationary for a very short time when these folks noticed them and as they watched, the lights did start to move but ever so slightly.

They said there were two very bright lights which looked identical to one another. The man's wife said they looked like landing lights from an aircraft due to how close they were together, and the brightness of them. They all ruled this out quickly as the lights just stayed in the one area of the sky. They observed the lights rise up for a short distance, still staying close to one another. As they watched one of the lights seemed to disappear quickly, but they didn't think it went into the clouds as he noted the cloud ceiling was rather high that night and the lights weren't close to them.

The other remaining light was seen to move back, or away from the families location and it also disappeared. Both lights were extremely bright, and the family said they stayed that way until they finally blinked out, or just vanished.

These folks figured they watched the lights for at least two minutes before they were gone. The man said, how long they were visible before he noticed them is anyone's guess. They also reported no sound and the witnesses said if it had a plane or helicopter you would have certainly have heard it. The folks estimated that the lights were approx: 10 times larger than their thumbnail.

Thank you to the family for their report.

Report #4

Report received February 7, 2004 Prince George, British Columbia

Date: January 31, 2004 Time: approx: 9:30 - 10:00 p.m.

Now this was a very interesting call that I received from a man who resides in Prince George, B.C. When I answered the phone, the fellow said he had just read their local newspaper and that he could tell me exactly what the lights were that everyone saw that evening. Below is the report the gentleman gave to me.

The fellow said he watched the whole event through a pair of field glasses. It was January 31, 2004, between 9:30 - 10:00 p.m. and the man claims "it" landed two blocks from his home. The witness said what he watched was a couple of night jumpers, jumping with parachutes with lights attached around their feet or ankles. The man observed them coming over from the west over the hill. He mentioned that he had a fairly strong set of glasses (binoculars) and was clearly able to see the jumpers hanging in their chutes and saw when they turned their lights off. One of them landed in a park just two blocks away from the witnesses home and the other went towards the Fraser River and the BCR Railway. The gentleman figured the were practicing night jumping.

When the jumpers were first spotted they were rather high up and he and his wife first thought it may have been an airplane. He went on to say the lights were a very bright orange in color, and the reason they were no longer visible was simply because they had turned them off. The fellow, now retired, was in the military himself and had done a lot of jumping and as soon as he spotted the orange lights he thought it looked familiar due to the descent, plus the way the lights were traveling. When he looked through his binoculars he knew exactly what it was he was seeing.

He figured the jumpers used their lights to keep track of each other and to designate where they were going to. Once they started getting closer to the ground they turned off their lights and just used the lights from the city to land. He also said the chutes were beautiful, very modern shaped parachutes and the jumpers with such good gear were able to carry out some of the antics they pulled off that cold evening. It was actually comical as the witness said one of the jumpers almost turned himself upside down and then this would give the impression of the lights going back up into the night sky. The two jumpers were carrying out some acrobatics on their way and obviously no sound was reported.

Thank you very much to the witnesses for their reports.

No UFO - But Two Strange Circular Imprints In The Ground

Posted: December 30, 2007

Location: St-Alphonse-Rodriguez, Quebec, Canada. Witnesses: 3

Date: Spring of 1983

Spring of 1983 - My sister, friend and I were strolling down on a small dirt road next to a small forest and swamp, at my parent’s country house in St-Alphonse de Rodriguez . It was a calm night, and as we arrived at the end of this dirt road, if I wouldn’t have looked down to see where I was walking, no one would have ever seen this thing.

Right beneath us in the middle of the dirt road, was a very strange perfect, circular impression formed in the ground. The impression was approximately 6 feet / 1.83 meter in diameter. All inner and outer rings were roughly 10 inches / 25.4 cm wide, except for the centered outer circle which was approximately 20 inches / 50.8 cm wide. The inner rings were about 2 inches /5.08 cm deep in the ground. There was no burnt grass, or anything particular observed on the ground except this unusual imprint.

I bent down and looked closely at it, and even followed the curved of the rings with my hands, just to get the feeling of this thing. All the circular edges were very smooth and the ground was compact underneath it. That last detail gave me the impression that the object which could have caused this was quite heavy or at least heavier than a car because of some car traces observed in this area which had not left any 2 inches / 5.08 cm deep impression in the ground… Also, these car traces had seemingly passed over the circular trace, without destroying or altering its original shape... The circular trace had seemed to be quite recent.

A second circular imprint was observed a couple of feet away, seemingly caused by the same object. It had exactly all of the same characteristics of the first one, except that the circle’s impression lacked of definition and precision in the ground. Only some parts of the circular impression were visible. The imprint’s depth in the ground was merely 1 inch / 2.54cm. It was as if the object had “slightly” touched the ground.

That night, we all stood there for a while, trying to figure out what these traces were. We thought of some kind of structure which could have been carried to one of the houses, but it was too weird because there was - absolutely no trace of “dragging” on the ground around these two circles. - We search around that night and didn’t find any other traces along the dirt road or anywhere around. I even came back alone the next morning in daylight, walk around the neighborhood to see if there was other similar traces, but never found any or any object/structure which could have caused this.

We talk about this event in the morning without making a big deal about it. We drove back to town, back to school and to the everyday life. I went back in the country a couple of weeks later, and found that the first trace was slowly washing away. At that time, I didn’t know where to go with this story. Like the impression in the ground, this event always stayed engraved in my memory, and I always wished someday to find the right people and the right place to tell it.

Thank you very much to the witness for sending along the interesting report

Calgary And Edmonton UFO

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: December 13th, 2003 Time: Between 11:00 - 12:00 p.m.

Message: Sighting between Calgary and Edmonton December 13th, 2003. Hi there! I know that I'm a little late but just found your page and I'm so happy that someone else saw the same thing that my husband and I saw that night. We were driving home from a trip to Banff and we were almost to Red Deer (I think the time was somewhere between 11:00 and 12:00pm).

We were just chatting when all of a sudden the night sky lit up. It was as bright as day for a couple of seconds. We like to compare it to the Truman show; almost like someone turned the lights on for a minute and then realized that it wasn't day yet. I've never seen anything like it and I will never forget it.

We didn't see any kind of craft but we weren't looking in to the sky until we saw the flash of light. I know that this information probably isn't very helpful but I just wanted to let you know that there are a couple of other people out there who saw this very strange event. I've researched meteorites and I'm quite sure that is not what we saw. I don't know what it was but it gave us a lot to talk about the rest of the way home.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Reddeer, Alberta Another Bright Meteor Lights Up The Sky

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: December 13, 2003 Time: 11:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I was reading the report of a UFO between Edmonton and Calgary on December 13 2003. I also saw the flash of light on highway 2 heading north, about on 5 minutes past Innisfail, Alberta. I was just going over the hill north of Innisfail at about 11:30 pm and had a great view of the surrounding prairie.

I could clearly see the orange glow from the city of Reddeer, I could see a half moon to the East which was still quite low in the sky, while I was looking at the moon I saw a bright meteor light the sky up ahead of me, it looked like a camera flash had gone off because it lit up the surrounding countryside, I didn't see where the meteor came down, it just winked out, I did see several meteors past Reddeer, but none were as bright, I found out later on that night that it was one the annual Geminid meteors which are at their height on that Saturday Dec 13th.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

UFO Outside Of Smithers, B.C. On The Babine Lake Road

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: Late Fall 2003 Time: Evening

A witness was telling be that his friend had been out Bow hunting for Moose along the Babine Lake Road. His friend did shoot at a Moose and the fellow thought he had hit it. The witnesses friend came back home and got his friend and both jumped into the truck and headed back out on the Babine Lake Road to where the Moose would have been.

Now seeing it was after dark when driving back out the witness I talked with said he noticed a couple of bright stars off to his right hand side (east) and another, much brighter and larger which appeared to be alot lower down in the sky. They were thinking that the lower star may just have been a planet at that time. So they continued driving along, of course his friend is excited and talking about possibly getting his Moose, at the same time the his friend is watching this bright object which he thought to be a planet.

He started thinking about the brightness and size believing what he was observing was a little weird. At the time this bright object sat motionless and was a long ways away from the two men in the truck and he figures he had been watching it for approximately 3 minutes now. All of a sudden this bright/large light in the sky from a dead stop just streaked across the night sky in a split second and they both lost sight of it due to the mountain blocking their view.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

North Edmonton Blue White Star-Like Object Makes Hard Right Turn

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: December 2003 Time: Approx: 11:30 pm

At about 11:30 pm I was out in the snow barbecuing while house and dog sitting at my in-laws when I looked up in the sky which was very clear as I could see the beauty of the milky way and thousands of stars. Towards the west I noticed a blue white star moving which I at first thought was a falling star about to enter the atmosphere but than it seemed more like a satellite as it was descending. I have seen satellites before and feel I am quite familiar with the night sky. When I had figured on it been a satellite and not a UFO or a falling star it made a hard turn to its right and seemed to go straight up out of the atmosphere into the deep space.. Total time of sighting: 4-5 seconds.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Frightening UFOs Taped Over Sicamous, British Columbia

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: December 26, 2003 Time: approx: 11:30 p.m. Sightings continue in this area.

Sicamous, British Columbia -- I was wrapping up my year end reports for 2003 when a telephone call came in on December 31, 2003. A lady had gone to the internet in search of a Canadian UFO Investigator so she could file a report on some strange on-going sightings which had been taking place in her area. At one point the objects seen were so frightening to her and the family, that the RCMP was called to the witnesses residence to investigate. The witness did state that she was not going to call this a UFO, meaning something from another world because she really did not firmly believe in this. The lady went on to say that what she and her family have been observing was something they could not explain. Be it military or something else, whatever these objects are, they do some very bizarre things in the sky.

On December 26, 2003 the dispatcher for the Sicamous, British Columbia RCMP detachment took a call from an excited woman who requested the RCMP come to her home and look into the unusual sights that had been taking place over a period of time. Whilst making the report she felt that she wasn't being taken seriously ... and that maybe they thought her to be a little crazy...however, when an hour passed and the RCMP officer arrived in her yard it was a different story. As soon as he saw the object he stood and looked in amazement. He had no idea what it was.

I was told that the officer left the families home and drove towards the mountain where the object was sitting to get a closer and better look. (HBCC UFO Note: So far, I have left two messages with the Sicamous RCMP detachment to have the constable call me back using my toll free number and as of yet he has not returned my call. I am not giving up on him, and I will keep trying until I get a hold of him even if it means becoming a pest).

"An important part to this case is that excellent video footage has been shot by the family".

As the tape is rolling you can hear the children in the background commenting on how quickly the object was moving all over the sky. It appears to be moving rather quickly, zig zagging, etc.. I asked the witness about how she was holding the camera, knowing that any slight movement while video taping can make "something" appear to move. In the footage it shows the object moving erratically around the sky. The other members of her family who stood watching this event unfold saw the very same thing with the naked eye..... something flying all around the sky.

The witness said these objects (plural as there are more than one at different times) ..... were also seen by her husband whilst he was up in the mountains which is around their area. He described one of the objects as being as big as a house and covered in lights. At the time, he was waiting for his daughter and her cousin to return with the snowmobile. He watched the object with his naked eye and estimated it to be approximately a mile away from his location.

He was so excited and frightened at what he saw whilst he waited... that he immediately drove back home, ran into the house and told his wife of his adventure. She thought he had been drinking as he was acting strange and obviously was very scared. Knowing they had to go back out to that location where the object was seen because they had to pick up the kids, the gentleman said he was not going back out there alone ! The husband's sighting took place before December 26, 2003, and what the family caught on tape on December 26, 2003 was the same object. It had returned.

They also saw the object through their binoculars and described it as being in the shape of an acorn or a diamond.

It was an extraordinary sighting because not only did the object shine brightly and move around erratically ... but at one point when it was stationary ... it shot out a large red fireball, then six bright orange lights appeared in the sky around it. Each of the orange lights had another two white lights on them. These white lights shot a beam of light towards the ground. Approximately half an hour later four more of the large acorn/diamond shaped objects showed up and sat either stationary or moved around the sky. The witnesses said the objects appeared to have hundreds of lights on each of them.

These folks have recently moved into this home, but the previous owners said they used to watch in the daylight hours ... on many occasions silver disk shaped objects flying over and around the mountains behind the house.

This case is under investigation and this is only raw data at present. Video tape is currently being examined.

A foot note to this. The lady who reported the sighting and who rang the RCMP told me that when the constable arrived and saw the object .. he commented to her that he knew of nothing that moved that quickly ... nor of anything that could stop like it did on a dime.

This story proved interesting enough that the television station (CHBC TV out of Kelowna, British Columbia) sent a news crew to interview the family and to get a copy of the footage. CHBC TV is a part of the Global TV network which is one of Canada's giants in the media business. The story ended up airing not just on that station, but aired all over British Columbia on Global BCTV. They ran the story at least three times as a part of their news. Once at 6:00 p.m. Friday night, again at 11:00 p.m. and again on the Saturday morning news. As I was the investigator on the case they also called me a number of times and interviewed me about the story. The news gave this story a good length of time to play out on TV which was really great to see.

Something else of interest prior to these sightings but in the same area was when an RCMP officer who was out on his usual rounds in his patrol car ... noticed an object in the sky and was instantly hit with a beam of light from it. After his shift was over and upon his return to his detachment he informed his co-workers of what he had seen. They thought he was seeing things. Now perhaps they have a different interpretation of the event.

On a separate note, sightings are still coming in.

Reports from Nova Scotia back from the 1970s, Vernon, Kelowna, Kitimat, Terrace, Comox, British Columbia and from Alberta etc.. Plus other reports from aound the world.

Thank you to the person for sending the report and photo.

Vernon, British Columbia Strange UFO Sightings Continue In Vernon

Posted: December 30, 2007

Report Received: February 1, 2007

Date: December 2003 - February 2004

Hi Brian, This was the winter when Venus was bright in the sky, and setting before the sun in an incandescing orange and white. I reported it to Brian, but the UFO fever had overtaken me and I would not believe that Venus could do so many things. It took quite a while before I realized the error of my ways. However, while I was riveted on Venus, I was also sighting other things.

I had entered the UFO time zone, which is to say, I was very focused on Venus's movements and forgot to eat, bundled up for the cold to stay outside on the balcony, and bruised my eyes with the binoculars. The nights were cold winter and dark, the sightings were usually over by eight at night. I did this for several weeks. This is when the orbs had begun to fly over Vernon, low over the airport and vicinity. I had also noticed many small aircraft flying up and down the lake heading to Kelowna, coming back, turning around and heading back to Kelowna.

One night an orb, rose over the hill from the lake, moving into town. It stopped mid air. Then the orb morphed into an orange ball, morphed back into a light orb, and then back to the orange ball and then two headlights appeared, I could not see anything other than these two headlights and a red light above and to the left of the headlights. This was very exciting! The headlights hovered there for a few moments, then turned in the direction of the lake, and flew that way. It was not like a plane flying, I noticed that this vehicle just glided and no noise.

Now the orbs had my full attention. So I bundled up warmer and stayed on the balcony for longer times. One night, I watched Venus set around six, and as it set, a moving shadow flowed down the hill from the exact spot that Venus had vacated. For some reason I could see the shape of this shadow, sort of like a Sting ray fish shape. The vehicle coasted down, over the lake, over the houses and into the valley to the left of the airport, or south in direction.

I began to sleep during the days now, as my full attention was on the sky and what was unfolding. From my post on the balcony, I now recognized what was actually flying up and down the lake, racing each other. There were about four that I could count for sure. One night, on the balcony waiting for something to show itself, my attention was drawn up and to my left. What I saw was a huge shadow, then people sitting in windows coasting by like a train in the dark, only this was a triple decker train and flying under three hundred feet. It coasted over head very slowly, went up to the Army Camp and down into the valley. While I was trying to rationalize this,(couldn't) two headlights appeared over the hill out of the valley. The headlights shone on me, they did not blind me like car headlights, there was no glare, only light. What I noticed was the headlights spanned a sixty foot house that it was flying over and the wings covered two blocks. It was about eighty feet over the neighborhood.

It suddenly, dropped its right wing, pivoted a 180 and coasted back to the valley behind. In the lights from the streets and houses, I could definitely make out the shape of this air ship. The body was black and no light reflected off the body. The body is shaped like an arrow, with the tip cut off. The body was smooth, and again the Sting ray fish shape and smoothness comes to mind. It made no sound. The headlights themselves appeared to be over twenty feet high and were placed on each side of the flat front before the wings. I had alot to reflect on. This was a serious upheaval in my reality, Venus had lost its appeal.

After that, I saw the small craft once in a while and things were quiet, with the light orbs coming around and close. This sighting was upstaged later by the same huge vehicle. It was a night when the small planes pilots were getting their night time license and there were a few in the air around six thirty pm a January night.

From the lake rose a ship that I described as lit up like a Christmas tree with golden lights. These were the three decks of windows from the front to the back. Because the body does not reflect light, it appeared that just strings of golden yellow lights were rising.

The ship rose less than a thousand feet and slowly floated over the airport. The upper lights could no longer be seen from the ground, but three huge flat white lights came on under the ship. Each oval light was forty feet in length, ( or something like that, I was beyond excitement ) The small ships also were gathering around this ship, as it moved again toward the Army Camp where I lost sight of the whole parade heading south. For a couple of weeks, I sighted a few more orbs, and one ship during the evening light and then things stopped. It did take me some time to integrate this, planes and cars held no interest for me anymore after seeing and experiencing these events.

It was around the summer when I began to dream of being in the small ships with others slumped over in their seats, and feeling lucky to be half conscious to be able to remember. The flight went straight up and came straight down, I braced my feet against the wall ahead of me coming down, and I was belted in for safety. But this is for another report. Take care Brian.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

About 30 Kms South East Of Edmonton, Alberta Disc Shaped Craft

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: October, 2003 Time: Approx 8:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Disc shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: I went outside to fill the bird feeder. Just one of my many bird feeders which is located just south of the house and I went out the back door and made a beeline straight for it. I checked it, saw it was half-full, and then turned to my right (which would be facing west). Hovering about 1/4 a kilometer away was a disc with lights below right between two trees. As I found out later no one else could see it due to its position. I live on the edge of a golf course on an acreage near pasture/farmland. I live directly east of Nisku and the Edmonton Int'l airport.

The disc I would estimate to be about as large as my house. Which is a small bungalow of about 1,000 sq. ft. It just hovered there, absolutely motionless and completely silent. I ran in, grabbed my 8 X 30 binoculars and observed it while calling out to my brother (who lived with me at the time) to get out here. it was about 20 minutes of it just staying absolutely motionless. Then, a little disc, about 1/3 the size came in from the SW at a near lightning speed and just stayed beside the larger comrade for about 10 of those minutes like something of a recon mission was taking place and then zipped back towards the SW out of sight. I think after that the disc left soon (it was hard to keep track of the time) thereafter and very slowly headed straight north into the tree-line. I got in my van and tried to intercept it (because of how slow it was moving) because it was going to go over the highway near me going by its flight path. I got into intercept range within a couple minutes and the thing just disappeared. Meaning it never came out of the tree-line of the golf course. I scanned the horizon, everywhere. Nothing.

I asked neighbors after, nobody saw anything. The disc was in a heavily wooded area right alongside Highway 21, which is a very busy road. Nothing was seen.

By sheer chance I saw these two things and they disappeared as mysteriously as they appeared. I could have walked right up to it in less than 5 minutes if I wasn't stunned by looking at it through the binoculars. I have no photos since I am not a photographer and didn't want to leave anyway.

I know what I saw, it was not a helicopter, plane, flock of geese, weather balloon, whatever. I was real and tangible. It had revolving lights underneath and it kind of looked like it had port windows on the upper part. It was the classic disc shaped object.

There it is!

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Toronto, Ontario Low Flying Black Craft

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: September 2003 Time: Approx: 12:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I would like to confirm the recent sighting report, over Toronto,Ontario on August 19, 2005.The lawyer, gentleman's description of the craft, fits like a glove that I had witnessed. Although my date is different, on a Sunday in September 2003, at about 12:30 pm. The amazing news on all this is also, that I found it strikingly similar, there were no reports of this sighting witnessed on TV, radio, local newspapers or even local ufologists. This object stood out like a sore thumb, it was very noticeable of size and color.

On that day in Toronto, after attending St. George Church. I viewed that very same described, very large, low flying black craft about 2-3 miles west, over western Toronto. The best description I could give, was the craft was "Manta shaped" and very large and black. The altitude would be 2-3000 ft high. Two things to note about the date of August 19, 2005. First, that it was a full moon date. Second, Toronto and the surrounding area, had experienced a major severe storm, later that day, at between 4:00 pm -6:00 pm. Last recorded storm of that magnitude, was in 1953, Hurricane Hazel. So now I ask?

Was this sighting connected to this severe storm Toronto experienced? I really just wanted the witness to know, that he is" not" alone of this type of sighting. The only difference is, my sighting happen two years earlier. As well as a head shaker, that no other reports came from any other sources. So friend, your not alone on this, I believe you what you had witnessed. I can see the excitement and the frustrations that must be going through your mind. Keep your head up, not down. Take care Brian, as you know the drawing of this craft (shapes and dates) has been posted earlier, in late July 2005. Same object.

This eyewitness is referring to the recent sighting over Toronto, Ontario.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

New Hazelton, British Columbia Bright Light Makes Turn

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: September/October 2002 ? Time: Approx: 11:55 p.m.

Received Report - March 10, 2003 Telephone interview.

I had a phone call from a very nice lady who told me that her, and her husband were up late. She said her husband was in the washroom and she was in the bedroom looking out the window and noticed a light coming towards their home. The light at the time was a long ways in the distance and the witness thought it may have been an airplane with landing lights on it. The light was up rather high in the night's sky, but she felt it just looked rather strange.

So she yelled to her husband to come quickly to have a look. Before her husband got into the bedroom the light seemed to turn rather quickly and shrunk in size. Although her husband did not see it, he commented to her that he didn't think it would be an airplane. She darn near forgot about it, then one day started to think about it once again about it. She told me that it turned rather quickly to the north and as she watched it, it shrunk from a fairly large bright white light to a small speck of white light and disappeared quickly.

HBCC UFO Note: I am not sure what the witness saw at the time, it possibly could have been a normal aircraft, but when I asked her when the light changed directions, did it turn sharply. She said it pretty much did.

Thank you to the witness for her report.

Burnaby, B. C. Ball Of White Light Maneuvering In The Clouds

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: August 30, 2003 Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Dear Mr. Vike, My name is (removed) and I live in Burnaby on the south slope facing the pacific. It was August 30th 2003 at about 9:30 p.m. and my husband and I were barbecuing on our back patio. It was a beautiful summer night. Not a cloud in the sky, except for some which were high in the sky and over the ocean, I'd say southwest. Actually, we would have thought nothing of the clouds but then we noticed there was a small ball of white light moving around in the clouds. It was moving every which way it felt. But it never left the cloud cover.

We both believe in UFOs, etc. but we were both trying to logically explain what we were seeing to each other. Like, is it a beam of light coming from Richmond or from the PNE, like a giant spotlight? No, because there was no beam of light coming from the ground. We kept on trying to figure it out as an earthly explanation.

But neither of us at the time said anything to each other that it may be a UFO. Anyways, we went inside to eat, not really thinking anything of it. We actually forgot about it. We went back outside about an hour later to look at the stars, etc. Then we noticed it was still there, in the exact same location in the sky. By now we were both thinking "UFO"! This time we watched it very carefully and notice that it would fade out of one area of the cloud and before the fade was gone it was already in the different area of the cloud. Like it was moving so fast and the light was slower than the object. We never actually saw any craft, just the ball of light moving around. We watched it for about 1/2 hour. Then next thing we knew, it had just disappeared at about 11:30 p.m.. The clouds we still there but the light was gone. Then all of a sudden, right above our heads, it seemed to be right over our house but super far in the sky we saw about 8 - 10 separate white streaks of lights, milliseconds apart traveling every which way. Then we freaked! Ever since then, every time I go on my patio at night, I think of the amazing spectacle we saw that night. I hope this helps you with your research.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: August 2003 Time: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Diamond shape ?

Full Description of event/sighting: Object was totally dark. The only way I could notice something was there, was by the way it would block out the stars behind it as it moved across the sky, the shape may have been diamond shape. The object was about the size of my thumb at arms length, was moving slowly but surely straight across the sky from NW to SE time to pass was about 4 minutes. No sound and no lights.

Would like to know if any one else has seen this kind of object.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Airdrie, Alberta A White Light Crosses The Highway

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: August 18, 2003 (approx:) Time: approx: 2:30 p.m.

I fellow called to report he witnessed something very strange when he was driving up Deerfoot heading towards Airdrie. He watched a small ball of white light cross the highway in the distance a head of him, and it turned in his direction. The witness said he was doing approametly 30 kilometers an hour and observed the light getting closer. All of a sudden the object stopped, still a ways away from him and there it had changed from a light into a craft of some type. He made a guess as to what the altitude of the object might have been at. The witness told me it may have been traveling at approx: 1000 feet. He went on to explain when one sees a normal aircraft coming in for a landing at an airport.

He added that before the object changed from a ball of light into a strange craft, he noted that it started glistening and shinning brightly and then this is when it started taking on some kind of form of an unusual object. He reported no sound being heard, mind you he was in his vehicle at the time. I also asked if he might be able to determine the size of it, he said when it was in the distance it could have been approx: the size of his small fingers, fingernail. But when it headed in his direction and got very close, his words were it was huge.

The object did come to a complete stop as the man passed close by. It sat stationary as he drove some 2 kilomenters doing around 20 kil an hour. Finally other drivers started honking their horns to get his attention to have him speed up. The man said the reason why he was driving so slow was due to him looking over his shoulder and out the back window watching it. Finally due to his location from the object he lost sighting of it.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vancouver - Burnaby, B.C. 25 Witnesses Observed A Black Oval Shaped Object

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: Summer 2003 Time: 3:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 25 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Oval

Full Description of event/sighting: We were driving west in the afternoon into Vancouver on the #1 freeway. And in a clear sky overhead and to the south was a black object in the oval shape of a rugby ball! It was not moving and stayed exactly where it was as we approached. It seemed to be about 2000 feet above the ground near our Central Park and about the size of a 747.

Many people pulled off the highway to look at it, including 2 policemen. It did not move at all and was not a balloon or kite.

In retrospect, the oval shape could have been a circle shape as viewed from an angle. It seemed like the opening of a round pipe.

We rushed home expecting to hear breaking news but nothing was said about it. I can see the area from my apartment and looked with binoculars after getting home but saw nothing and wondered if my angle of view now was parallel with the shape so it would be a straight line if in fact it was a flat opening of some kind like a disk? I would love to hear what it could have been.

Additional Information:

Brian, thanks for your reply. Please be clear about the included picture; that I used Photoshop to duplicate as close as I could to show what I saw. My wife saw it as well, and it seemed like it was in the area west of Central Park, south of Kingsway. And could have been about 1000 to 2000 feet up.

Our viewing angle was from the #1 freeway. We noticed it somewhere east of Willingdon Ave. interchange. It never appeared to be hovering, or moving at all or affected by wind or anything. It was definitely NOT a balloon or kite. Just solidly stationary in the sky. As if it was a flat plane of black disk, not even an edge to it. Nor did there appear to be any structure or shape to it other than the solid black disk. No light reflected off anything.

As we got just past the Willingdon exit, the traffic slowed down and we pulled to the side of the road as others did. There were even two RCMP officers stopped on a side road, (on what I think might be called Clydesdale St. which leads onto Grandview Hwy at Boundary Rd) they were out of their police car looking up at it too. Other traffic had slowed. I passed by and went home, listening to the radio for reports, but there were none. I even expected the 6 PM news to have video. When I got home, I live in a high rise in Vancouver and could see in that direction east, Central Park is directly in my eastern view, I got out my binoculars but could see nothing. I accounted that to the fact that I thought it was a flat object, and from my new view, it would only be a line in the sky if it was still there at all.. The thought did come to mind that it could have been a circular shape, if viewed directly from below, however I never went closer to find that out.

When I told some others about it, someone suggested it could have been a "black hole". I DO know what a real black hole is, but that was an apt description of what it appeared like. As if a pipe was there for some reason, and we could only see the hole in the pipe, but not the pipe itself.

I wonder if you'd get any interest from the RCMP office near the Gagliardy Way?Caribou Rd exit? I just discovered your website recently so can't exactly recall the month I saw it, and it could have even been 2002. Of course most people just smirk when you tell them and ask if I'm a 'trekkie' too, but it was a phenomenal and unforgettable sight. It would be most interesting to find others who saw it too.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

St. Laurent, Manitoba - Lights And Strange Creature (Questions Over This Case ?)

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: August 2003 (end of) Time: evening (after dark)

I had a telephone call from a gentleman from St. Laurent, Manitoba on September 22, 2003. The area where this event took place is mainly a Matee community. The fellow I talked to said he and his wife bought a business and have lived in the community for thirteen years and know many of the area residents.

In the last week of August, 2003 four youths were driving south of St. Laurent towards the golf course on golf course road (as many folks there call it). The road runs by Francis Lake and the golf course is on the left hand side of the road when traveling south. As they drove along they noticed an abandoned vehicle off to the side of the road across from the golf course. At this point they all saw flashing lights over and above one of the buildings on the course. The lights seemed to be sitting stationary in one spot and low over the sheds. They assumed, after seeing the car pulled off to the side of the road and the lights flashing, that someone may have been breaking into the sheds. Two of the young men decided to sneak in to see if they might catch someone causing damage, the other two went back home to get their parents and have them come down to the area where all this was taking place.

As the two youths were approximately half way into the course and as they approached a small road which passed by one of the dugouts, they heard a very loud, piercing scream. As they kept walking for approx: another 100 feet, all of a sudden this "thing" was right in front of them and screaming out this loud screeching noise. A three foot high creature ran in front of them and it was only about 25 feet away. Both witnesses were taken totally by surprise and very frightened as they had no idea what this thing was. It didn't help that it was dark outside. Both of them ran back towards the road where they had been dropped off, but seeing they did not have a vehicle they cowered in the ditch which ran along side the road hoping that whatever it was they saw would not find them. Finally their two friends returned with a couple of the parents and when the vehicle stopped the two guys who witnessed the creature, hurridly jumped into the vehicle. "Let's get out of here" they said .... however the parents did go and check the buildings and found nothing had been disturbed. They all talked about the event on their way home.

The lights which were seen hovering over the buildings were a red, greenish and white colour. The witnesses mentioned that not a sound could be heard coming from where the lights were seen. Also they claimed seeing another light hovering over Francis Lake which was totally red. Again not a sound could be heard.

On the same night, shortly after the above sighting ......another man, driving his van, had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting a similar creature. He claimed that it was about 10 feet in front of him when he finally came to a complete stop. It moved to the driver's side of the van and squatted down, bending slightly to one side, looked up at the frightened driver. The man described the creature as being small and having a protruding jaw filled with a number of teeth. He put the truck into reverse and headed out of there as fast as he could. After thinking about what just happened, and what he saw, he broke down and started to cry.

Another series of events have taken place in the same general area.

A local resident who had some 27 chickens well penned up in a "heavy steel wired" area, found on the following day, that 20 of his poultry had disappeared. A large hole had been ripped in the strong wire fence. The resident looked around the area and found one chicken still partly alive in the bushes behind their home and it had two puncture holes at the base of its neck. No other chickens were found. Strangely, also there has been a large number of domestic cats which have gone missing just over the same time period, which is definitely not normal and there does not seem to be any explanation for their disappearance.

The fellow claims that there is a lot of history of unknown objects being seen in and around the community. He also said that the creature had been spotted on other occasions throughout the St. Laurent area.

The lights were strange, the creature was strange... what they were and whether or not they were connected is anyone's guess. There does seem to be something very weird happening in this particular part of Canada. I will continue to look into this and see what, if anything more , I can discover about it. Due to the community being tight lipped about such strange events its not going to be an easy task.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Kelowna, British Columbia Stationary Light

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: Approx: August 2003. Time: Around 10:30 to 11:00 at night.

Message: Hi there, I just read the article on Castanet about UFO sightings. I moved from Kelowna to Chilliwack in July 2004 but I saw something strange, a light over Okanagan Lake around August 2003. My Condo was facing the Mission just south of KLO Road and I was living on the top floor (4) and had an excellent view from Black Mountain to Okanagan Lake. I was still a smoker then and spent lots of time on my balcony.

I saw this light which was about 70% stationary and at times moved to the right or to the left. Watched this with my binoculars for more than an hour and I knew that it was not an airplane. Airplanes do not stay in one place and I thought perhaps it was a UFO and then I laughed it off as being absurd. I told my children what I had seen and they did not know what to think of that story. This must have been around 10:30 to 11:00 at night. So, that is my story. Have a great day.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Penticton, British Columbia 3 Orangish Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 2003 Time: 12:20 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle

Full Description of event/sighting: I was sleeping outside on the deck trying to fall asleep, but staring blankly at the sky. Out of the corner of my eye I saw 3 orangish lights in a triangle, it was sort of hovering in the sky. It was hard to say at what distance was. But I would say further than airplane at distance, closer than the stars. Sort of a big gap there I guess. So it was hovering back and forth and as soon as I made eye contact with it, it "burnt out"? kind of hard to explain it, but almost like a little fireworks that squiggled out. So that's all I had seen, and I got too scared and hid under my blankets to be honest. Then three days later I found out that my cousin had seen the same thing right next door. The reason I decided to report this was because I was reading an article in the October 2005 Westjet Up magazine about 'Creepy Canada', and realized that the sighting in Kelowna (near Penticton) was very similar.

Lethbridge, Alberta Two Triangle Shaped Flying Objects

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 22, 2003 Time: 12:30 a.m. (Tuesday morning) Email report

I was just returning from a midnight jog and I was sitting on my front steps which face south and was just cooling off then I noticed something moving in the sky not exactly above me but to the west a bit. I thought they were birds flying overhead but when I stood up to take a better look they were two triangle shaped flying objects with what looked like orange tips on each corner. I couldn't really see the object perfectly clear because of the city lights. As they disappeared behind a tree on the west side of my house I ran west to the street to follow them as they flew without a sound in a northwest direction but couldn't see nothing after that. As I stood there gazing up at the sky I noticed a bright star which probably was the Space station moving in an eastern direction. I don't know what to make of this event but am thankful that I am one of the few to witness something like this.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Terrace, British Columbia A Large Glowing Oblong Shaped Object

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 24, 2003 Time: 11:45 p.m.

A witness called to tell me his story of what he and his wife saw. We live alongside the Skeena River which runs through Terrace, British Columbia. Our home is located high up on Mount (deleted by HBCC UFO), from here we have an excellent view of the surrounding area. We sometimes turn the lights off and just sit around with a coffee looking at what is going on below us. As we watched the traffic traveling along highway #16, entering the town of Terrace. (Terrace/Kitimat Junction), we saw a large glowing/oblong shaped object moving slowly along side highway #16 heading north.

We thought at first it may have been a aircraft as the object paced some of the vehicles on the road. But then realized that whatever it was had to be way to low for any plane to fly at night in this area. Eventually the object made a sudden move, or jerked across the highway to the opposite side and came to a stop. (HBCC UFO Note: I asked the witness what he meant by the object jerked. He told me it looked as if it would either stop for a split second, then start moving again, or as it moved a head it would side back just a bit from where it was coming from and then travel a head).

As the witnesses watched it sitting in a stationary position on the west side of the highway, he said it looked like it gained a little altitude and then short off towards the west at an incredible rate of speed. Matter of fact the fellow who watched this take place said, "if you were watching close when it sped off, you would have missed it due to how fast it was traveling". The witness guessed the two of them watched the object for approx: a minute before losing sight of it completely. He went on to tell me that this was not the first time he had saw something rather strange over the Terrace area. Last year (2002) his children dropped by for a visit, and one of the kids grown and now married, gave out a yell and all of them watched a huge glowing/golden colored "thing" moving over the town of Terrace. He said it moved fairly quick, but again stressed that whatever it was, was enormous. He had read articles on myself (HBCC UFO) in the Terrace Standard newspaper last year, but felt funny about coming forward to tell the story. But this year he said, I had to talk to someone over what we both saw, as it was just so strange.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Terrace, British Columbia An Object Of White Grayish Color

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 18, 2003 Time: 11:15 p.m.

Brian, Last night at 11:15 p.m. I was talking to my neighbor, (name deleted by HBCC UFO), on his property. There was only a strip of sky exposed due to tree crown cover in place on his property. When I looked up I did see one high altitude object of white-grayish color traveling from the southwest to the northeast. I would say at least 10 Km up. The sky was clear and no cloud was around. I told (name deleted by HBCC UFO), who had his own UFO experiences The second object was following the visible one across the sky in a short distance..but remained invisible throughout the whole time means 50+ seconds.

Interestingly enough, the area of sky visible was very limited due to the tree crowns and it almost seems to me that " they " choose this direction to be seen like the one I saw months ago which came closer within a small break in the tree cover on my property to the east. This flight path is actually situated roughly 40 Km's to the southwest. The two objects were followed by a third one which flew in the same direction 2 minutes later.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Prince Rupert, British Columbia A Bright White Light

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 22, 2003 Time: 1:05 a.m.

I just had a report from Prince Rupert , British Columbia. The witness reported seeing an extremely bright flash of light in the southwestern part of the sky. The fellow then saw a bright white light traveling to the northeast coming from where he saw the bright flash. He mentioned that the light took approx: 5 minutes, traveling to the northeast from where he first caught sight of it in the southwestern part of the sky.

It finally just disappeared. The witness also said the light was very high up, but mentioned it was twice as bright than any satellite. Still another light, not as bright was noted coming from the exact position the flash was observed, but this second light was traveling to the north. No sudden moments were noticed. No sounds was heard, mainly due to the lights being so far away. So what we have is a extremely bright flash of light witnessed in southwestern part of the sky, and two other lights coming from the area the flash was observed.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Hecla Provincial Park, Winnipeg Manitoba UFO

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 6, 2003 Time: 9:30 p.m.

It was 9:30 pm Sunday July 6th at the Hecla Provincial Park (120 miles north of Winnipeg)

My wife and I saw an aircraft travelling east. It was very high in the sky as I could not identify aircraft wings and could barely discern the faint sound of jet engines. The aircraft caught my eye because it was shining brightly (probably due to the reflection of sunlight at sunset) and I found it odd that there was no vapor trail from the jet engines. The speed of the aircraft was constant (not unusually fast or slow).

The very strange aspect of this sighting was that the aircraft did a very quick and very sharp U-turn. It took less than two seconds for the aircraft to change directions and begin flying on the same path it had been travelling.

I work in aviation and know that vapor trails are not always visible due to air temperatures but jet aircraft cannot change directions that quickly.

I hope someone else saw this as well.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
