Unknown Ball Of Light Shoots Straight Up Over Courtenay Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date: July 14, 2012

Time: Evening.

Hi, I live in Courtenay, on the Island. Not sure what the hell it was, but about an hour ago I was out having a smoke and I saw a white light sort of "strobe" twice then shrunk.

It went straight up, not quick, but fast enough. Don't know if you get these sightings often out here, but I thought I would drop a line.
Could have been a shooting star, but it was enough to keep me sitting there for about a minute or so.

Additional Information:

Sorry, forgot to mention, it was like a ball. Probably above the mountains, wasn't an airplane because when it dimmed out, it did so in the exact same spot. I don't know airplanes that can make a 180 in that short of space.

It wasn't flying off into the horizon because it went up, not down. And it didn't fly overhead of us, so I figured it went straight up. I have never reported a UFO before, but this had my scratching my head.

Large Orange/Red Cigar Shaped UFO Seen In The Sky Over Masset Haida Gwaii British Columbia

Time: 10:45 p.m.

On June 8th at ~10.45 p.m. PDST from my home in Masset, Haida Gwaii, B.C. I saw a slow moving, bright orange/red, relatively large flying craft in the southeast sky. As we have frequent helicopter traffic in this area at this time of year servicing the sports fishing lodges, I presumed it was a large helicopter.

It looked like about the shape (cigar shaped) and size of a helicopter about 2 Kms. away. As I was just sitting quietly watching it, it was a matter of minutes before I realized I couldn't hear anything.

This puzzled me in that the noise is usually an annoyance and overrides anything like radio noise, talking, music etc.

It was moving horizontally toward our airport quite slowly and so I looked at it through my binoculars. Now it looked like a larger bright orange/red cigar shaped light and there was nothing else was visible.

At the range it appeared to be at, it looked like it might be one of the larger coast guard helicopters, but there was nothing, but the light visible. I still thought it must be a last helicopter coming in from the sports lodges with the last of the day's light, but still no noise.

So I went outside on the back steps and looked at and it was completely silent.

At that range and on a quiet spring night, it should have been annoyingly loud.

Next it angled down to the horizon and disappeared behind the tree line. I honestly expected to hear a crash as it was headed for the ground. That was it, no noise, no crash, complete silence except this large orange/red light that was close and extremely visible that went across the sky and then angled down and disappeared.

I had looked at it for a good two minutes.

Two friends of my daughter saw this too and I know these young ladies and they are down to earth sensible people.

I wonder if anyone else saw this or has any ideas? Let me know if you hear anything,

7 Or 8 Orange Balls Of Light In The Sky Over Scarborough Bluffs Ontario

Time: Evening.

Brian, we saw this phenomenon just last night (June 11, 2012) in the same area you describe. Dozens of neighbors came out to watch as up to seven or eight of these orange glowing objects at a time lazily moved in formation.

As some of these glowing orange objects faded, more would appear. This went on for almost half an hour. My iPhone wasn't able to properly capture any images. These glowing objects were drifting in the same direction as the breeze, and I think they may have been flares of some sort- like the type of flare used to illuminate enemy positions by the military, for instance.

Large Bright Object Fades To Red In The Sky Outside Of Ottawa Ontario

Time: 9:24 p.m.

Hi, I have been searching for someone who saw this for the last couple of months with no luck until now. I live outside of Ottawa Ontario and I saw something in the sky on the evening of April 10th and I checked my watch at 9:24 p.m. est which would align with the time of your sighting.

I was outside and noticed something moving across the sky in an abnormal direction. I noticed it from quite far away as I am lucky enough to be in the country and have a great view of the sky.

The object was very, very bright and large. It appeared to come right towards me and I can not say enough about the large size and brightness, it was also moving very slow and appeared to be and at a Very low height.

The object than moved by and appeared to fade to red quite quickly, but it was moving in the direction that would align with this other sighting.

I checked the news and searched sites regularly after the sighting but never was able to find anything. Any idea what this was I still can not to forget the experience. Thanks.

Red Lights In The Sky Over Toronto Ontario

Time: Evening.

Hi I just saw these same lights. I was outside having a smoke on my verandah when I saw to decent sized red lights slowly moving, then they began getting smaller and smaller and then disappeared.

I ran to the park which is 100 feet from my house to get a better unobstructed view. Then I saw another four, they were headed north and then all of a sudden the started heading west. As they moved west they began to get smaller and disappeared.

I thought they were potentially meteors or something like that until they're trajectory started heading west.

I’m no meteor specialist, but I always thought they could only move in one direction due to gravity. These objects were moving as if they were floating energy or a craft of some sort.

Large Orange Ball Of Light Hovering In The Sky Over Oakville Ontario

Date: July 15, 2012

Time: Approx: 1:30 a.m.

July 15, 2012 around 1:30 a.m. We are at Trafalgar/Dundas. talking with neighbours walking their dog, and saw a big orange ball. I thought was an airplane at first, and appeared to be approaching from east to west.

Then it stopped and hovered for a good few minutes while we tried to figure out what it was. It then seemed to move around just a little bit, and then slowly diminished in intensity until it disappeared.
