Silent Glowing Fiery Ball Spotted Flying Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I was just reading your blog and was astonished to discover that you saw the same object in the sky as myself and five friends also saw on the evening of Saturday, July 7, at around 9:30 p.m., in Port Hope, Ontario.

Unfortunately, none of us had cameras with us, but it was like a glowing, fiery ball moving silently through the sky in a southeasterly direction. At first we thought it might have been a weather balloon (?) or a Chinese lantern or something, but clearly it was much larger and higher up in the atmosphere than we thought it was.

It had no blinking lights, like a plane would, and made no sound. It looked like there was some kind of flame under or around it.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Witnesses Observe Red Flying Object Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  9:30 p.m.

I've been trying to leave a message on the blog sight, but I am new to computers so I will now try to e-mail you.

This is in response to your flying giant red fireball blog.

I am from Port Hope, Ontario and was just leaving a card party when 6 of us observed the red object that you described. Our observation lasted about 3 to 4 minutes from the viewpoints of far away to medium distance to directly overhead and then flying away reversing the distances again. If we had, had a camera amongst us, we could have had some of the best shots the world has ever seen of this thing.

But sadly you only have my word on what I observed so here it goes.

As we are leaving the party and saying our goodbyes and giving hugs when someone noticed the weird red light approaching from the north. This would be from the direction of where the city of Peterborough is from us near enough to the direction of HWY 28.

As it got closer the weird red circle turned into a red circular object with 3 tightly grouped pulsing red lights. These red lights were intensely red, not blinking off and on, but pulsing so that they never turned off and just got brighter and then lighter again.

There were comments from, “what the hell is it”, to “wouldn't it be funny if it was a UFO”. Before it got close we had time to make out loud observations. It looks like fire to it and has 3 pulsing lights so if it's a plane, where are its blue and white lights.

There was time to say, “why isn't it making any noise”, does anyone hear any noise coming from it. One called for her husband to come to the window to look. Like I had said we had a lot of time to observe.

As it came directly overhead the pulsing lights reflected onto the circular underbody of the solid craft. It is my conclusion that the fire like look of the object is caused by the intense fading and brightening of the lights reflecting off of a metallic like surface.

From a distance it looks like flames moving, but as we saw it from a great distance a medium distance and from directly overhead. I am satisfied with my conclusion of the fireball affect. Most of the pictures taken that I Googled match the far away look, kind of circular or definitely circular depending on the angle that the photos or filming was taken at.

None were taken from the close up observations that we were lucky enough to see.

From this close up observation we could see that there were no wings, no tail and absolutely no sound whatsoever. Since we saw it's complete traverse, it wasn't followed by that whole sound hasn't caught up to the observer yet thing, i.e. don't hear the plane until it's flown past you.

From our perspective we could not see the top of the craft, just the underside and all of the edges  that were lit up by the intense under lighting of the craft. This is how we concluded the roundness of the object.

As it passed on by us it was heading in a south easterly direction over the waterfront of Lake Ontario heading towards Cobourg as opposed to across the lake towards Rochester. It was travelling at a constant rate of speed in a smooth controlled line.

It arched it's way slowly to the east as if deciding to follow the lakeshore. If it was an unguided Chinese paper lantern for instance, it would have been swinging back and forth at the mercy of the winds etc.  I have seen or Googled Chinese paper lanterns and hot air balloons and weather balloons, all of which have the balloon part of the craft light up from the fire keeping it afloat.

It is bright and unmistakable, remembering that we had the time to see it from many angles and distances.

It was not a moon rise or a planetary rise (Venus, Jupiter or Mars) It was not sprite lightening or marsh gases. It was not a helicopter or the light open aircraft guy that has flown over this town for years. He is very loud and does not fly at night.

I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and spent my teen aged years sitting on the mountain brow (escarpment actually) , watching the planes fly overhead going to Mount Hope airport. I have seen a lot of strange night time things but I do know the underside of planes, which includes the antique historical planes which Mount Hope airport is famous for.

I am 52 years old and I am not some youngster who has no real life experiences to pull from. I am not some old biddy who doesn't know her backside from an open pit in the ground. I have been brought up with a scientific way of investigating things and am not one to jump to conclusions.

Three Huge Round Orange Lights In The Sky Over Sherwood Park Alberta

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  9:45 p.m.

There were 3 huge, round, orange lights in the sky. I thought maybe they were hot air balloons or helicopters, but they were moving way too fast and way to high.

We saw them climbing upwards for about 3 minutes then, slowly one disappeared then the 2nd one and slowly the 3rd one vanished. I've never seen anything like it before we tried to take pictures, but they didn't show up. Very strange.

Black Triangle UFO With Orange Perimeter Lights Witnessed In The Sky Over Brantford Ontario

Date:  June 15, 2012
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, I've never contacted you before, but I really want to know if anyone else saw what I saw on Friday, June 15, 2012, at approx. 11:00 pm. While sitting on my sofa watching TV, something caught my eye through the front window.

Although alone, I can't believe I am the only one that saw that beautiful black triangle on such a clear warm lovely evening, at not such a late hour.

It truly was beautiful, with orange perimeter lights. I Googled "black triangle UFO", the only ones I could find had 3 large lights underneath, at the points. I have difficulty trying to figure out how high it was, but it seemed to the fairly high.

It was noiseless. I feel it was large because at whatever height it was, it appeared to be 6" to 8" from nose tip to base. It moved from the east to north west. It moved at a speed like a plane and moved in a straight line - no "jerky" movements.

I went outside and watched it for a few minutes until I lost sight of it in the trees.

This was in the north end of Brantford, ON. I have a difficult time believing that I'm the only one that saw this very obvious UFO, on a clear, warm Friday evening, before midnight, but I haven't heard any other reports. Have you?

P.S. In October of 1967, my mother-in-law saw a different type. The preamble to the actual sighting is a good story too, but what we saw at the T intersection was in those days, dumb founding.

Just above the hydro wires, stationery and noiseless, hovered a fairly small (couldn't have been a mother ship) round UFO, with white lights around the middle between the bottom and the "bubble" on top.

The "bubble" was smaller than the craft was at the largest circumference. We watched it for a couple of minutes and then got scared. Doreen took me home and took her son with her, doubling back on the same route.

They saw it take off. They said it shot straight up at an incredible speed and then flashed away horizontally, looking like a falling star. I must have been in shock for not going with them; in retrospect, I would give a lot to have witnessed the take off.

Someone else saw that thing because it "tailed" a car far ahead of us, but we never learned who it was. It appeared as a solid red light (we thought it was a police car chasing the car ahead because in those days police cars had the "cheery light" on top and we were joking about who was being chased).

When it followed a car (it was a straight but slightly hilly country road out by Boston, Ontario) quite far ahead of us.  In retrospect, the red light was much to big to have been on a police car.

When we arrived a the T intersection where we saw it, there were nothing red about it.  In those days, and even now, people think "witnesses" are crazy or attention seeking.  When I told of my recent experience at work, most of my co-workers pooh-poohed it, but one other "witness" was fascinated to hear my account.

She is the one that directed me to your site.

Again, if anyone else saw the black triangle with orange perimeter lights 6/15/12, or even the historical sighting, please advise.

Huge Ball Of Fire Observed Over Ontario Canada

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

I'm from Ontario, Canada. At around 9:30 p.m. last night, we noticed a huge ball of fire moving through the sky in the way you described, like a balloon fading into the distance. No clouds in the sky at all. It was the only thing up there.

We pulled over and watched it slowly move across the sky until it faded out of sight.

The only difference is the day we had our sightings. We observed our ball of fire on July 7th, 2012. Saturday

Ball Of Flames Seen In The Sky From Baltimore Ontario

Date:  July 6, 2012
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Saw this from Baltimore Ontario looking southeast towards Grafton. At first I thought it was a helicopter with the search light on but the object never advanced.

It slightly flickered like a ball of flames and was a distance of probably 5 kilometers from me. It rose slowly above the tree line, hovered for maybe 5 minutes and slowly went below the tree line again.

Once below the tree line, the sky was lit up for a few more minutes. This occurred around 11:00 p.m. July 6, 2012.

My wife thought I was making it up, but seeing that others are noticing this as well, I am now very curious.
