Orange Glowing Light Flying In The Sky Over Cambridge Ontario

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  8:30 p.m.

I live in Cambridge, Ontario and we also saw an orange glowing light yesterday Saturday April 7th. It was around 8:30 p.m. and was moving south.

I thought maybe it was a flying Chinese lantern but lost sight of it pretty fast..if same was spotted in Barrie then hmmm.

Red/Orange Glowing Object Spotted In The Sky Over Barrie Ontario

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, I live in a city called Barrie in southern Ontario. Last night around 9:00 p.m. my wife was looking west out of our kitchen window and noticed a reddish orange glowing light approximately 20 km away (hard to tell distance though).

The object was travelling approximately north to south. There were no visible ID lights on the object, just a glow which seemed to slightly flicker. She said the object appeared to speed up and almost stop before accelerating again.

By the time I observed the object it was at a constant speed. Within around 5 seconds the object went from clearly visible to completely vanishing as it travelled south west. The sky was completely clear.

Airline Pilot Observes Orange Light That Ended Up Being A Delta Shaped Triangle Flying Over Montreal Quebec

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  10:10 p.m.

Hi Brian, I'm a airline pilot, last night April 7, 2012 at 22:10, I was on my front steps in Montreal, Quebec facing west and my attention was drawn towards the south sky to an instant large bright orange light that I initially thought to be an aircraft exploding.

I quickly realized that it remained intact and did not separate or break up. It traveled at a speed that was a little faster than a jet would cross the sky, but certainly not the speed that a meteor, asteroid or falling space junk would have.

The other thing was that there was no sound or sounds present at all.

As it made its path on a heading of approximately 220 degrees magnetic, the glow gradually faded and completely extinguished.

Here's the cool part. The sky was 7500' broken, but with a very thin layer. The moon was out in the south sky and this object was between the moon and my position. As this object now flamed out, it entered the area above the clouds and the moon cast its shadow in the thin layer of cloud.

I could now see what it looked like. Speed and heading were constant and it's shape was a isosceles triangle with the two equal sides being about 1.5 time longer than the base. As it traveled above the cloud this delta shaped triangle shadow appeared to roll back and forth on the x axis.

I thought this was may be due to the irregular layer of the tops and base of the cloud.

Just before it flew over the layer, I was not able to detect any nav or strobes present at all. I would say no lights at all. I observed this object as a shadow as long as I could until it faded from my view. About 3 - 5 minutes later another orange light, but way less bright followed in the same path and speed, but was also much higher.

I had my IPhone in my hand for this one and so I filmed it. On the phone it looks like a dot on the screen moving along in the night sky.

I called the Montreal area control center (ACC) and find out if they tracked this and I was told they didn't track anything at all. They took my report and # and would forward it DND.

I would say it may have been something like a NASA X-43 scram jet.

Bright Light Flashing Spotted In The Sky Outside Of Parksville Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:35 p.m.

Good Evening, this is in regards to the numerous sightings South/South-East of Parksville, B.C. Tonight April 7th at roughly 21:35 while driving south on the Island Highway just out of Parksville, I noticed a bright flashing light in the sky.

I'm a aviator with many night flying hours, this light wasn't like any aircraft strobe light I have ever seen, the light would flash more slowly, like a tower beacon light would and was moving slowly on a southerly track.

I was curious and checked airspace notices (NOTAMS) with none in effect for that region. After seeing this I was intrigued and searched online and read several reports as well as coming across your website. I also recall my mother mentioning seeing something quite similar in the way she explained it.

Approximately 3 weeks ago in the Nanoose Bay area. She said she saw a solid white light over the bay and seemed to not be moving.
I would like to hear of any further reports on this as I'm quite intrigued by this event. Regards.

Fireball With Small Tail And Giving Off Sparks Over Eaglecrest Golf Course Qualicum Beach Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, my son and I were out walking the dog around 9:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7th, 2012 and saw the same "fireball"! We were around the Eaglecrest Golf Course in Qualicum Beach, and "it" traveled west to east in a downward trajectory, the same as the other witnesses sighting.

I thought it was fireworks at first as there was a small tail of yellow and orange sparks, but no other flashes were seen.

Round Bright Yellow White Object Traveling In The Sky Seen From Parksville Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  9:00 p.m.

Last evening at 9:00 p.m. we were walking around the corner of Crabapple St. onto Vine Dr. in Parksville, B.C., when we observed a large bright light travelling very low (maybe 100 – 200 feet) just over the house tops.

Large, round, no tail and appeared yellow/white. Also no sound. We observed it travelling a short distance then  the light abruptly went out.   Have you heard of any other similar sightings?  (name removed) in Parksville.
