*HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO* together have received 293 written UFO sighting reports from January 1, up until August 27, 2007 and I am sure the total number will climb as we still have four months left in 2007. Not included in the total number of reports is approximately 26 telephone interviews which we done and the reports have not been written up as of yet, these would include sightings from British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta.
Ontario still leads the Canadian provinces with a whopping 140 reported sightings, followed by British Columbia with 81 cases.
Below is a break down on reports received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINO from January 1, 2007 to August 27, 2007.

5. - Quebec - 10
6. - Manitoba - 10
7. - Saskatchewan - 7

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2007 is 293 cases. Plus another 26 cases which have not been written up as of yet.
The sightings range from a spectacular meteor event over Ontario back in March of 2007, followed by a wave of unknown craft/objects. Stars and the planet Venus were another cause for some of the reports, the IS (International Space Station) and Space Shuttle played a roll as well. Also aircraft were reported as being a UFOs. To round things off, there were a few UFO sightings that did turn out to be balloons, but although many sighting were certainly explainable, there were some really amazing cases in which no answers could be found, and I am still looking for a rational explanation for some events.
One of the most amazing UFO events took place over the Kelowna, British Columbia region on July 2, 2007 where numerous eyewitness in different parts of Kelowna saw a cylinder shaped craft, with what looked like fins on it, and on fire, ripped down through the sky and finally hitting the water on Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. The sound was incredibly loud and like a deep bass "womp, womp, womp" sound as it came down. The same object then reappeared from where it hit the lake, rose up and then sat and hovered in the sky. Meanwhile a cone or "possible" triangular shaped craft was stationary a short distance away from the cylinder shaped craft. What took place next dumbfounded all of the people who had watched the event unfold, the two objects started reacting to one another, and the best description given from the witnesses was like looking at tracer fire from automatic weapons, or in other words it was like the two UFOs were shooting at one another. After a short time of exchanging what looked like the two craft were firing on one another, a loud bang was heard and the cone shaped craft was nowhere to be seen. The torpedo shaped object was still hovering in the sky. It started moving from side to side and then a loud sonic boom and it was now gone. Needless to say, some witnesses screamed loudly or when watching had their jaw almost hit the ground from watching such a unusual event unfold in front of their eyes.
A couple of other interesting things happened not long after this UFO battle. A NATO AWAC aircraft did a couple of fly-bys over the Kelowna airport, when Airport Operations Manager James Hall was contacted, he confirmed that the aircraft that flew over the Kelowna airport was indeed a NATO aircraft, a modified Boeing 707 AWAC. Mr. Hall also said that they were not privy to their (military) operations or plans. Numerous unknown helicopters were seen in and around the area, more than the normal helicopter traffic one would see in the area. Also CF-18 fighter jets were video taped leaving the Kelowna airport, but this certainly may or may not have anything to do with the UFO battle over Okanagan Lake. I guess we just keep an open mind to the chain of events and hope for a break in the case.

Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 293 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces.
I couldn't even guess how many UFO reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years.
Like I always tell folks, no matter when the UFO event took place, please send in your report, either to HBCC UFO Research or UFOINFO as we are here to help where we can, and are extremely interested in what the witness has to say. I also keep harping on an important part of this UFO topic, and that is that the witness who is reporting to us, is that their private/personal information is completely confidential.
Well in the next four months we shall see what other interesting cases come into us. Don't forget to file your sightings.

Qu'Appelle Valley, Round Lake, Saskatchewan Orange Colored Object

Date: August 12, 2007 Time: 10:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Qu'appel Valley, Round Lake. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Round.
Full Description of event/sighting: Looking S.E. over Round Lake just as the milky way was coming into view. I noticed a round orange object moving fast across the sky from south to north. Object appeared to be slightly lower than the first visible stars that night. At first I thought airplane, but moving much to fast and the light was not blinking. Then I thought satellite, but again object was moving faster than any satellite I have ever seen. The object remained a solid orange color. Just as object reached the north side of the lake, still at very high altitude, it appeared to hesitate for a brief second and seemed to release a smaller fainter orange circular object that immediately proceeded in the opposite direction as the, (if I may), Mother Ship. Mother ship proceeded in its same path while the smaller fainter object appeared to slowly spiral downward until I lost sight of it.

Whole event lasted approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
No sound.
Second object immediately travelled in opposite direction approximately 30 seconds or so before spiralling down. I don't think this is possible according to our laws of physics due to the speed of the first object.
Second object was paler in colour and may have had a ring like appearance as the centre of the 2nd object looked somewhat translucent. No sparks or flame visible.

Calgary, Alberta Three Red Lights Line Up In A Triangle

Full Description of event/sighting: My two kids (12 and 9) and I was watching the lunar eclipse early morning of August 28, 2007 from our front yard. The eclipse started about 2:47am and the moon was completely cast by the shadow at around 4:00am. We were facing south when that happened: Three dim red lights line up in a triangle zoomed past the sky from west to east. Yet, no sound. Yes, all of us felt that the objects flew very low, lower then those commercial planes. We screamed with excitement in unison before exchanging comments.

Surrey, British Columbia A Fast Moving Pale Glowing Disk

Location of Sighting: Surrey, BC. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Pale glowing disk.
Full Description of event/sighting: Was sitting on my deck watching the planes approaching and departing from YVR. A twin engine airbus on approach (heading west) came into view on the south side of my bldg. He was just below the thin overcast. As I glanced over at it I saw a large glowing (whitish/yellow) disk shaped object fly by heading east. The disk shaped object was almost directly inline with the plane only just above the overcast and farther south. The disk was traveling quite fast, perhaps several thousand miles per hour and as it flashed past the plane I could see that the plane would easily fit within the diameter of the disk, making the disk perhaps twice the size of the plane.
A little while back a fellow in Coquitlam reported seeing yellow objects streaking across the sky almost at the speed of meteorites. I used to see them also when I was in the other apt. tower and now have been seeing them almost nightly, usually below the cloud cover and going in all directions. They don't appear to be very big and leave a long streak of light behind them.

Toronto, Ontario A Group Of Moving Lights

Date: August 31, 2007 Time: 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Intersection of Islington and Bloor Street. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 3-4 Shape of objects: Points of white light.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was walking north in Islington St with my friend, towards Bloor St. We had been talking about the big dipper, so we were looking up at the sky a lot. I spotted a group of moving lights, fairly faint but moving with some speed across the sky. I thought it was a jet aircraft because it resembled the outline of one, but there was no silhouette on the sky, and there were no blinking lights at all. At one point, I saw them fly in front of a bright star overhead, and the star didn't wink, so there was no solid body there. There was also no noise or anything. I pointed them out to my friend just before they went down behind some trees. I thought they were maybe satellites flying in some elaborate formation, but to be honest I have no idea what they were. I'm curious if anyone else in the Toronto area saw the same thing as me. They moved from the northwest to the south east.

Ball Lightning Sighted In Kispiox, British Columbia (Scanned Article)

Several Kispiox residents may have witnessed a rare phenomenon of nature during the wind and lightning storm that rolled through the area on August 12, 2007.
"We noticed this huge white ball, about five feet around," said Pam Barnes.
"It was exuding power like crazy and moving around. I didn't know what it was. I was stunned. I saw it moving over the rooftops and it didn't seem to have any sense of gravity, like a balloon almost."
Then, in a flash it was gone. The whole incident lasted between 10 and 15 seconds, she said.
"It was brighter than the moon," said C.C. Barnes, Pam's four-year old son.
David Jones, a meteorologist with Environment Canada in B.C. said the sighting is consistent with ball lightning.
"We get the odd report of ball lightning, " he said.
"It's a very rare phenomenon. Maybe a once in-a-lifetime experience if you're lucky."
Sightings are so rare, in fact that despite nearly 200 years of scientific investigation, researchers are still divided on its exact nature.
Last year, two Brazilian researchers conducted an experiment that supports the theory. Using electrodes to shock silica wafers they were able to create orbs of electricity that mimicked the behavior of natural ball lightning.

Several Kispiox residents may have witnessed a rare phenomenon of nature during the wind and lightning storm that rolled through the area on August 12, 2007.
"We noticed this huge white ball, about five feet around," said Pam Barnes.
"It was exuding power like crazy and moving around. I didn't know what it was. I was stunned. I saw it moving over the rooftops and it didn't seem to have any sense of gravity, like a balloon almost."
Then, in a flash it was gone. The whole incident lasted between 10 and 15 seconds, she said.
"It was brighter than the moon," said C.C. Barnes, Pam's four-year old son.
David Jones, a meteorologist with Environment Canada in B.C. said the sighting is consistent with ball lightning.
"We get the odd report of ball lightning, " he said.
"It's a very rare phenomenon. Maybe a once in-a-lifetime experience if you're lucky."
Sightings are so rare, in fact that despite nearly 200 years of scientific investigation, researchers are still divided on its exact nature.
Last year, two Brazilian researchers conducted an experiment that supports the theory. Using electrodes to shock silica wafers they were able to create orbs of electricity that mimicked the behavior of natural ball lightning.
