Date: March 18, 2006 Time: 11:55 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Streak or cylinder.
Full Description of event/sighting: While driving 50 kph going west on Pierrefonds Boulevard, observed quite large "fluorescent light colored" (white) light making a short arced streak across part of overhead sky ahead. Duration 1 second. Looks like if it continued it would have hit land around, say, 20 km or so away.
Basic impression was that it was a very close shooting star - if "close" shooting stars are indeed white light in colour, then that's most likely what it was. I once saw one very high in the sky, and it made a long whistling sound, but this one could not observe sound due to car/road noise.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

East Vancouver, BC A Large Bright Red Flashing Light Flying In Circles
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 25, 2006 Time: 4:06 a.m.
Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1
Full Description of event/sighting: It was a large bright red flashing light that was flying in circles somewhat low at times to the ground. There was not any sound coming from the flying object and due to the fact that planes are restricted to flying into YVR during the night I figured it was not a plane. The object was circling the area above my house and then proceeded to turn and fly over the next block, like it was surveying the area. At one point the object went straight up and I knew this could not be a plane due to erratic flying pattern it was making. After 20 minutes of this the object just disappeared.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

East Vancouver, BC Another Witness Observes The Strange Red Light
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 25, 2006 Time: Approx: 4:00 a.m.
Hey, Brian, about that story posted today on your website about the red flashing bright light, my girlfriend and I were awake at that time (she has a sore elbow from breaking it months ago) and I noticed it moving from north to south, kind of over East Vancouver. It was flashing and very red. I pointed it out to my girlfriend who said it was probably a FedEx plane coming in, as I think those mail carriers are allowed to fly early in the morning.
All I know is that that light was really red, and from our vantage point, seemed to have only one red light and nothing more ie. no green or white nav lights.
I guess all you could do is phone YVR and ask if a FedEX plane came in to land at that time.
PS: As we were awake, I joked that we should be looking out our bedroom window for UFOs as they are seen early in the morning. I told my girlfriend about the guy who lived near English Bay and saw a UFO over English Bay at 4:00am awhile back.
Additional Information:
Yes, it was around 4:00 am. I was up before my girlfriend, but she woke up suddenly because her elbow was hurting her. As we were talking, that's when I noticed the light outside in the distance. Our bedroom blinds are always open slightly as one of our cats always rattles them if they are closed (so she can't look out).
The first thing I noticed was that it was really, really red. The weather was clear with medium puffy clouds. The red sure stood out against the dark blue sky.
Hello, Mr. Vike!
Here's a few more observations on that red light from early this morning. When I said that it was flashing, it wasn't really "flashing" with some strobe-like effect, it was more like these slow pulses ever second or so.
One can hear in their mind what the pulsing would sound like, sort of like a ...... whooomp ...... whooomp ...... whooomp .... as it moved quickly but not too quick.
I am still not feeling that "My, God, I just saw a UFO" kind of thing, but the more I think about it, the creepier it's starting to feel to me.
The creepiest thing is that I wouldn't have seen it if I didn't wake up from a harsh dream, realizing I had to pee, peeing then climbing back into bed, hitting my girlfriends sore arm where she wakes up, we talk and as we talk I glance out the slightly raised blinds (for the cat) where I see this intensely red shining light.
It was I reckon maybe 2 miles or so away, and most people would automatically think that it was probably a jet. The shape wasn't elongated like a jet would be, but it is still hard to tell at night from a distance.
As for the other lights and craft that I've seen (I never saw nothing until I moved to Burnaby) they all appeared "out of the blue". Literally. Especially the small light that flew 10 ft. over the Cessna over BCIT back in Feb of 2002.
With this morning's sighting, "accidental" sighting more like it, it really suggests that people who happen to see genuine UFOs are indeed lucky. Some people do say this type of thing.
I agree. All of the stuff that I've seen, all I was doing was either smoking, walking my dog, or stretching my legs. I have been wondering to myself lately when I would see my next UFO, or perhaps do I really want to see one, but as it is I did but I just don't know it yet.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Coquitlam, British Columbia Red Lights In Triangular Formation
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 27, 2006 Time: 4:45 a.m.
Was reading about the red lights seen over Vancouver recently. I woke up just after 4:00 a.m. two days ago. Decided to watch for a while and see if I could see anything. At first all I saw were the various red lights on buildings and the TV towers on the mountains. At approx: 04:45 I saw what I first thought was a plane flying westbound over Coquitlam at approx: 2000 ft.
After looking at it for a few seconds, I realized it had three non blinking red lights laid out in the familiar triangular pattern along with several white strobe lights flashing from various locations. I watched it as it flew by, but was unable to determine just what it was. As it flew over Burnaby mountain three large white lights came on, located just inside of each of the red lights. At first I thought, landing lights but quickly realized the lights were all facing down and I don't think a plane would have landing lights at the rear. One in front and two at the rear. I lost sight of it just after it passed Burnaby Mountain. I checked the YVR arrival times but there was nothing listed between the hours of about 01:15 and 06:00.
Thank you to the witness for this report.

Inglis, Manitoba Multicolored Globes Carrying Out Strange Maneuvers
Posted: January 17, 2008
Date: March 30, 2006 Time: Between 9:30 pm and midnight.
Message: At approximately 2300 hrs central time, our family of four saw several multicolored globes of radiating green, red and white lights high in the western sky. They appeared to be stationary, but sudden high speed vertical or horizontal movements could be observed. We observed these strange globes for approximately 2 hours. They were not air planes or helicopters because they would normally disappear after 5 minutes. The sighting took place 10 km north of Inglis MB between 9:30 pm and midnight on March 30, 2006. Also all the animals seemed very agitated.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Chandler, (Gaspesie Quebec) A White Glowing Globe
Posted: January 16, 2008
Date: March 6, 2006 Time: Approx: 4:00 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 6 Number of objects: 1 or 2 Shape of objects: Round to cigar shaped
Full Description of event/sighting: I was having tea in the kitchen with my biological mother (We met when I was 25) & I wanted to ask her about a UFO sightings she had the night I was conceived. I looked out the window and noticed the light in the sky, like something falling, but it moved slow enough across the sky and disappeared behind the trees and houses. It took about 4 or 5 minutes to fade out of sight.
I took a few photos, the best I could out of my upstairs bathroom window. I had a dream the day before the sighting of a big white orb floating down to earth.
It looked like a white glowing globe with a map of the world outlined on it in sparkling diamonds. I ran in to get my camera and went back out to take photo's and in the sky were little twinkling golden stars which moved about and formed into a lions head then into the shape of the sphinx, then I was abruptly woken up.
I stuck the photos into my photobucket account and you can get a hold of them at the following link. (The 1st photo of the odd streak in the sky with the sunset is from last year in February almost 1 year before, the rest are dated).
Thank you to the witness for the report.
