Fraser River, Matsqui Or Mission, British Columbia Stationary Lights

Posted: June 28, 2008

Date: June 28, 2008
Time: 2:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Fraser River, Matsqui or Mission.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Circular.

Full Description of event/sighting: Two bright lights noted in south-eastern sky around 2:30 am. Location was well above Fraser River, on Matsqui farmland side. Lights were vertically aligned, close together, made no sound and were stationary for about 2 minutes, before quickly diminishing out of sight. The lights looked nothing like any type of aircraft, too large, and had a strange bluish-white translucent glow around them. The sky was very clear, no clouds.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Vernon, British Columbia Stationary Lights

Posted: February 11, 2008

Date: September 11, 2007 Time: 10:40 p.m.

Just above the NW mountain ridge I saw two blond/amber stationary lights. They were brighter than any previous objects of this color so far this year, plus they were not moving. For 5 minutes they stayed put. Then the left light arced down behind the hill, to the SW. About 3 seconds later the remaining light just disappeared from sight.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Pickering Power Plant Over Lake Ontario Lights From Stationary Craft

Posted: February 4, 2008

Date: June 14, 2007 Time: Approx: 12:30 a.m.

Hi Brian, how was the week away ? I can't believe your last post about Lake Ontario sightings. Myself and a friend witnessed something strange near the Pickering Power Plant over Lake Ontario, after 12:30am on June 14, 2007. There is video footage, and he has a better quality camera then what I have. He phoned me two days later telling me his camera has captured this UFO. What I had witnessed with the aid of binoculars was about 5 or 6 lights-orange in color.

They were blinking on and off along a straight bottom row of the craft. Light sequence from right to left-on and off. The object was in fact stationary, as we both view for about a minute by binoculars. Then both of us began filming this thing at a distance, maybe about less than 2 miles away. Altitude appeared about 1-2000 ft. high max. Then after about 2 minutes, the craft had vanished. Now in it's place, the presence of a low flying Cessna came in right where the object was sighted. My friend claims the timing of the Cessna came to investigate the UFO. Civilian aircraft are restricted to fly near the nuclear power plant. I will see him next week and check out his footage. If it is clear, I will make a point in getting to you. No secret photographic evidence helps the sighting report.

Take care and enjoy.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Toronto/North York, Ontario A Stationary Black Object

Posted: February 4, 2008

Date: June 15, 2007 Time: 11:00 a.m.

Approach Direction: N/A Departure Direction: Up Witness Direction: South East.

Description: I was on the subway returning from Downsview station, approaching Yorkdale, facing south east on the train. I looked up and saw a stationary black object just below a large cloud. It was tube shaped with rounded ends. I didn't want to take my eyes off of it, it was so strange how it wasn't moving, than it did move, back wards and forwards without reorienting it's self at all and as I blinked it went up into the cloud and was gone. It took all of 30-45 seconds.

Color/Shape: Black, featureless surface, tube shaped (cigar) looked small.

Height & Speed: at cloub level maybe the size of a van.

Ottawa, Ontario Bright UFO Stationary Then Starts To Move

Posted: January 26, 2008

Date: March 6, 2007 Time: 7:30 p.m.

Hi, I'm from Ottawa, Ontario and last night I saw a bright light in the sky and it was moving slowly across the sky when I looked with binoculars I saw a spinning red blue and green light and some other colors. Get back to me please.

Additional Information:

Ok yesterday it was 7:30 just getting dark but not dark enough for stars I see this bright light sitting in one spot for an hour or so. Then I finally said something and we all looked. Eventually it started heading northeast at a slow rate of speed.

It could have been really far away, if it was I'd say it was huge. I took out my friends binoculars and looked at it, it was hard to keep my hand still, but I clearly saw red, blue and green light in a weird pattern that changed eventually about 45 degrees from where I first saw it hovering. It disappeared behind a house. The "color red looked like dots and the blue was coming out of the direction it was going and green flashed every so often". Only when I looked through binoculars, when not looking through binoculars looked like a bright star.

I also might have seen it today roughly in the same spot, but not exact same as it was cloudy and so hard to follow.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Aylmer, Quebec Witnesses Observe Three Balls Of Light Stationary

Posted: January 19, 2008

Date: August 28, 2006 Time: Approx: 8:40 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 3 Shape of objects: Balls of light.

Full Description of event/sighting: On the evening of August 28, 2006 at approximately 8:40 p.m. my wife and I were finishing a walk with our dogs when, as we turned onto our street facing west, we saw three balls of light stationary in the sky over west Ottawa/Gatineau. It was difficult to estimate distance, but the objects were west/south-west of our location in Aylmer.

The balls of light were a reddish orange colour, many times brighter than any star, of which there were a number in the sky to compare. I initially thought the objects were helicopters, although, as noted, they were completely motionless for several minutes and there was no discernable noise coming from them (given the brightness of the lights, I would expect that, if they were helicopters, they would be almost directly overhead). A plane flew beneath the objects indicating again, for comparative purposes, that these did not resemble in any way normal aircraft flying at night. The balls were in a triangle formation, with two objects horizontal to each other and fairly close together, and the third higher and between the others.

As we approached our house, my wife went inside to get the camera. I turned my attention to something else for a minute and when my wife had returned with the camera and I had refocused on the objects, we noted that one had disappeared. Looking carefully, I could faintly see it moving to the south, although it had diminished in its intensity. Several moments later, the ball that had been beside it also began moving to the south, following the path of the first. It also lost its intensity almost immediately. Then the third object moved in the same direction, following the track of the first two and also becoming more faint. The time interval between the movements of the objects was approx. 15 to 20 seconds.

Although I am generally not a believer, nor overly interested, in UFO theories or phenomenon, I cannot conclude that the objects were aircraft in the conventional sense. Unless the event was some type of planetary or heavenly phenomenon, I could not provide any other idea of what may have happened. In the rush to take a photo, the objects did not show up clearly, although they resemble the objects caught by camera and posted in another report on this site.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Langley, British Columbia Strange Light Sat Motionless At Approx: 100 Feet

Posted: January 17, 2008

Date: May 10, 2006 (?) Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: 200th Street intersection - Langley, not sure of cross street. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Only saw a light.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving toward an intersection and noticed a light higher than the street lights but not terribly high in the sky (maybe 100 feet). It was motionless and very bright. There was no sound from it. There was not a lot of traffic so I was able to slow down and look at it. The night was clear with no precipitation.

As I watched it, it turned off, but not like a light simply going off, it kind of enveloped in, towards itself, if that makes any sense. When it was out, there was nothing to see, no other lights. It came on again for a few seconds, then went out again. I then saw a very small red light travelling very quickly east, (I was driving west) and then it was gone.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Mississauga, Ontario Bright Stationary Light

Posted: January 17, 2008

Date: March 17, 2006 Time: 5:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Southwest sky over lake. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Bright light.

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband woke up early in the morning to get ready for work, and woke me up to take a look out the window. He told me that the "bright light in the sky was back" (he's seen this before). I've always told him that it's just a star and to go back to sleep. This time, though, it looked totally different. This was not a star! It was a huge light in the lower portion of the sky. It looked as though there may have been several lights within the large light. It didn't move and stayed there quite a while. We live by the airport and when planes are coming in to land, their lights shine this bright, however, this light was not moving.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Three Lights Stationary Over Pitt Lake, British Columbia

Posted: January 15, 2008

Date: February 16, 2006 Time: 6:20 p.m.

Observed three lights hanging apparently motionless over Pitt Lake area. Checked with binoculars, All three lights were on one horizontal line. All appeared equal in size. Lights were Orange, White and Orange again. After a moment the lights started to move in my direction. I grabbed my camera and quickly set it for low light colour boost, I managed to get about ten to twenty seconds and then my phone started ringing. The object vanished while I answered the phone. Play back showed it to be changing colours, reds, purples, blues, oranges, yellows. Also showed several odd shapes when played one frame at a time.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sidney, British Columbia Bright Stationary Light Just Fades

Posted: January 15, 2008

Date: December 10, 2005 Time: Around 8:00 p.m.

Message: In the video dated the 18 of January from near Sonora California I am sure I saw something very small impact the object from just to the right of the top of the object! Also, this ball of light is very similar to one which I have observed over the Victoria Airport near my home. I haven't been able to photograph it but I will send a copy when I do.Thank you.

Additional Information:

Hello Brian, thanks for taking the time to contact me, I hadn't expected to hear from you so quickly. I live in Sidney, BC about 2km from the Victoria International Airport. I have seen an object similar to the one in the Jan.18 video over Roberts Bay near my home. It was on December 10, 2005 at around 8:00pm. My husband, my two children and I were headed home going north on Highway 17 when I saw it.

I remember thinking that it might be a planet but I ruled that out because of its size. It was very bright, a blue/white color and it was not blinking or changing in any way. It was like a spotlight on a helicopter only much larger and it stayed stationary in the sky the whole time. About 20 minutes after first seeing it, it simply faded out but it never changed color or size. I have seen it twice since but because I was driving both times, I could not keep sight of it. I will try my best to get a photo because I'm pretty sure it will return. Thank you for your interest in my sighting and I look forward to your comments.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Montreal, Quebec A Bright Shining Object Stationary In The Sky

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 9, 2005 Time: 5:13 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research note: I have changed the names in this report to keep the witness names private.

Hi Brian, I hope things are fine out west just as they are here down east.

I received a phone call this morning from my friend May who lives in Montreal just before I stepped out my door to head to work. She said that this time she had to call me and there was no other way out of calling me (we call each other regularly) because she and her son had both seen something in the sky.

She said after having watched the space shuttle land earlier in the day, they were in the car once again driving her son to goalie camp and it was 5:13 p.m., when May noticed something very bright in the sky. She said she first thought it was the sun reflecting off of an airplane but the bright thing was not moving. It was stationary and when she told her son to check it. He uttered the words, “It looks like...”. He never even was able to finish his sentence when the object in the sky just vanished. Oh, she said there was not a cloud in the sky either. The young boy was trying to say that it looks like the same thing he saw on May 8.

I told May that I’ve had this inkling that our object is around again and that I’m going to see it again eventually. Why do I just truly believe in that? It’s just a gut feeling.

That’s all for now.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Westend In Vancouver, B.C. A Stationary Object

Posted: January 11, 2008

Date: August 25, 2005 Time: 9:15 p.m.

Hi Brian, I live in the westend in Vancouver,BC. I live in a high-rise and love to sit out on my balcony at night and relax before going to bed. On some clear nights I notice a peculiar bright star, I say peculiar only when you are viewing it through the binoculars. It seems to have an assortment of colored lights, red, green and blue. When I view other stars through the binoculars they are not like this one. This is my first summer in this apartment and this star was in the direction of southwest. Last year in my other apartment around the same season (summer) where my windows faced north I saw this same kind of star but in was in the northeastern direction. Any explanation as to the colors. Is it a planet?

By the way, I too saw from my balcony a stationary object in the southwestern direction described almost exactly like the man from Airdrie, Alberta in 2004. It was too far away to determine a row of lights but it behaved the same way, stationary for at least one half hour and some sort of light reflecting off it. I even called a friend who also lives in a high-rise and he saw it too. This was at 9:15 pm on Aug 25,2005. It eventually was covered by dark clouds from below.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.
