Amazing UFO Hovers Above The Mountainside Bridge River Lillooet British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Some of the sighting reports I will be posting are cases from past years. I found this report as well as others fascinating, also the person, in this case, Sourdough Sue Ward was such a delight and very interesting to speak to in a telephone conversation. This like other cases are buried in my Canada UFO Blog so I figured I would post some of my favorites.

 Winter of 1966,

Time 9:00 p.m.

Dear Brian, In 1966, finding myself alone, except for the family cat, Caboodle, after the family breakup and ultimate divorce, I traveled up the Fraser River Canyon to the small village of Lillooet, two hundred road miles north of Vancouver.

My former C.O. from my Army days, (name deleted), lived in a mobile home and worked with (name deleted) on her Bridge River-Lillooet News. I joined them, and having spent a month living over The News Office with (name deleted), I learned I could rent a dandy suite overlooking the Fraser River Canyon.

The sliding doors opened onto a wide sun deck. The P.G.E. rails were just beyond the fence at the end of the lot. When the 110 car freights rumbled by I was face to face with the engineers. I used to try to list the many boxcars, the rolling stock of railroads from all over North America in those pre computer days.

At nights no lights shone from the few homes scattered on the bench land below, on the other side of the tracks. The highway connecting Lillooet with the outside world was on the far side of the river. Came the darkness, the valley was pitch black except for the odd set of headlights of cars traveling into town. There was no road on the mountainside which loomed up on the town side of the canyon.

One winter Friday night my friend had walked over for a visit. The folks in the adjoining suite had the TV on for the Dean Martin Show which aired at 9:00 p.m. My friend relaxed in an easy chair from which she could see out through the sliding doors. I sat opposite on the chesterfield, too far back to share her view. As we chatted, she suddenly, turned her head, and, staring out through the glass door, exclaimed in a sharp voice, "What's that ?"

I jumped up quickly to share her excitement and immediately saw a huge red swirling ball with flaring red orange flaming edges coming towards us from above the west side mountain.

Grabbing the glass door catch I shouted "let's get out onto the deck," which we did. As we stood side by side, we watched the whirling fire ball hurdle towards us, so fast that we both ducked down, putting our hands on our heads as we truly expected to be hit as it crashed upon us. But, as we crouched and watched, the thing hovered "just above the mountainside" so to speak, spinning and flaring, to right, to left, to right again, for a few seconds.

It hesitated on the final jerk to the right, then in erratic short jumps, still spinning and flaring, it began to recede, grow smaller, to nothing, back into the sky from whence it had come.

We returned to the room, quite shaken up, and my friend snapped, "Exactly what did we see ?"

I put into words much as I have in this account, using my extended arm to describe the movement. "Exactly !" she snapped.

Being Friday night with everything closed for the weekend, we had no way of finding out if anyone else had shared the sight. The news was being printed, not in Lillooet, but in Fort St. John at Ma'sson Dan's newspaper shop, so nothing was "of the moment"

By the time the weekend was over and folks were back on the job, we felt rather foolish in speaking of our UFO encounter. Had we not rushed to the sun deck, causing us to be physically involved, had we just focused and seen it with our sight, we may well have pondered if we had seen it at all.

I recall when I saw the movie "Strange Encounters" some years back I thought the UFO props were not nearly as exciting as what we had shared on that Friday night in Lillooet, B.C.

It is now August 20, 2000 and in Houston Newspaper, Wednesday 9 August 2000 one Brian Vike is asking for news of any sightings "past or present" and as my friend passed on at 83, years ago, and I am now living in (location deleted) on the shore of (location deleted) at age 87, I decided to pass on our joint experience of that special Friday night in Lillooet. My friend would truly approve !

My many thanks and warm wishes to Sourdough Sue Ward and her friend.

Sue's colorful name comes from her adventures in Dawson City, Yukon.

Names and location of course are deleted to protect their privacy.

An Amazing UFO Event Southern Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  June 8, 2013.
Time:  Approx: 11:15 p.m.

Hi Brain. Just wondering if you know of any others that saw these things?

This is a recollection of something that I witnessed on June 8, 2013.

On June 8, 2013, I was out having a smoke on my shop deck at about 11:15 p.m., I looked up into the absolutely clear night sky and off toward the southwest off the coast of Southern Vancouver Island, I saw this basketball sized bluish-white glowing orb appear out of what looked like a misty white tube that had also appeared.

The orb had a very bright white center about the size of Venus in the night sky, all around it, to bring to a basketball size, was a vibrant and swirling whitish transparent electrical field that danced about like one of those static electricity balls.

Now if that was not enough to make me shake my head and check my eyes, a second one emerged from what I can only describe as some kind of wormhole, about 5 seconds after the 1st one appeared. I could see the orb appear partially and a bit more until it was in full view.

Now I am really shaking my head! Then, about 10 seconds after the 2nd ship appeared, a third one emerged in the same way as the other two did. The mist dissipated and the three orbs glided Northward for a couple of seconds. The electric fields were turned off and that left 3 golden-orange orbs hovering just to the west of my house.

One of them began zipping in a triangular direction covering a good mile in less than a second and then joined back with the other two before all three of them flying off to the Northwest at incredible speed.

So the next week was almost all clear nights. I noticed that the orbs were crossing the skies at various times. Some stopping and then going backwards, some would slow and speed up. One night two came together from different directions and then flew away together. They continued this until the night of June 15, 2013.

On the morning of the 16th the largest meteor I have ever witness passed over the exact spot where the 3 ships had 1st appeared. It was about 6:00 a.m., where I am. The meteor left a trail that covered most of the Southwest sky from my view. It went from East to West as it passed over, the trail must have been at least 5 miles wide and the meteor lit up the entire sky as if it was 12 o-clock noon. I never heard one single word about this event anywhere in the world.

UFO Makes An Unusual Maneuver Caught On Film Over Vancouver British Columbia (Amazing Video Footage)

 Date:  June 29, 2008
Time:  Just after midnight.

The Vike Factor Note: Over the years that I have been investigating UFO sightings, I have always received many reports of unknown objects that zig zag through the sky and making some wild maneuvers.

But I have never been able to see what the witnesses were able to observe, until today. This footage is really amazing to watch. When watching this video clip, please keep in mind that one of the white lights/object is a star.

The other “thing” that does some amazing moves, is unknown. Also, the person who sent the report and footage to me, I have known for sometime and has provided some other clips of objects that were really interesting as well.

Hello, last night I was watching the stars and enjoying a cigar on my 6th floor balcony in Vancouver, B.C. A helicopter got my attention as it had a search light on near English Bay beach, so I got my Hi 8 video camera out and shot a bit.

I kept the camera with me and whenever I saw a satellite fly overhead I would tape it. I also taped a bit of the planet Jupiter, low to the east.

At about a minute or two after midnight, June 29/08, I saw a slow moving satellite to the south. I rolled my camera on it. I had a clear shot of it, with a star centered still in the frame. It seemed to speed up and then
disappeared.

Today when I watched the footage, I was surprised to see, that what I thought was a satellite, did a sharp zig zag as it approached the position of the "still" centered star and then sped up a bit and seemed to fade off to
a higher orbit and disappeared.

I am now going to try to get, the video copied onto a file that I can e-mail and burn a DVD of. The sighting is about 10 seconds in length and quite clear. It now makes me wonder about some of the other "satellites" I have seen that seem to vanish or grow very dim. I used to just take it for granted, that it was the satellite losing sunlight to reflect.

An Amazing UFO Encounter At Churchill Manitoba Canada

Date: Mid-October, 1959 ?
Time: Approx: 6:45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Circle (as seen from bottom only)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: When I was a kid, for two years from 1959 to 1961 my family lived in Churchill, Manitoba. It may have been around mid-October 1959 – later in the year, but before snowfall that I was on my way to Cub Scouts when I saw something unusual.

To get to the cub shack, I would cut through a number of buildings, generally trying to avoid walking outside too much because of the risk of encountering polar bears.

However, the last leg of the walk to the shack was down a dirt road isolated from other buildings. To provide some perspective, the Hudson Bay was to my right across an expanse of rocks as I walked towards the cub shack.

Suddenly, another kid on his way to cubs up the road ahead of me said, ‘look at that,’ or words to that effect. Looking up, I saw a perfect circle profiled against the already dark sky.

The circumference of the circle was clearly defined, but the interior looked like a rolling cloud or plasma about as bright as neon (as I would think later when I saw neon signs in Regina), though there was no lighting effect on the ground.

I don’t recall the colour when I first saw it, but of those I can recall, it would transition through red, green, yellow, a dark colour that made it look like it had disappeared, and white.

The colour changes accompanied a rolling appearance in the cloud or plasma towards the center.

That rolling motion can be visualized by imagining the effect of tossing a stone in a pond and watching the waves ripple out from the point the stone hit the water, but reverse that rolling, wave motion and make it move towards the center, where the stone hit the water, i.e. from the periphery inwards.

As soon as the rolling “wave” hit the center, the entire colour changed, and the sequence repeated. It was quite spectacular.

Thinking that it was the northern lights, I thought that I should try to remember the sequence of colour changes so that I could tell my parents and they would know I really saw the northern lights. But, whenever I thought I had the sequence nailed, either it changed or I was uncharacteristically confused.

After a couple of minutes of this, the other kid further up the road said, we’d better hurry, or we’d be late, and I went on to cubs. Oddly, perhaps, I always thought of what I saw as the northern lights, and even when I saw pictures of the northern lights later I would just think that the one I saw was better.

At about seventeen, when I told the story of my northern lights to someone I knew who was studying television repair at Algonquin College, he said that what I saw was a UFO, so I got some books and read up on UFOs and concluded that he was probably right.

If it was a UFO, it was either very large or very low because I was looking straight upward at it the whole time and it virtually filled my field of vision.

Unfortunately, though, I neither saw it come nor go, it was just there when I looked up, and it never occurred to me to look back when I left. I have been lucky enough to see a few UFOs since that time, but it has always seemed strange to me that they have always been different, one from the other, and that in reading reports I’ve never come across one described quite like that one in Churchill.

The dates are my best guess.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO/Object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Amazing UFO Footage Over Edson Alberta

Date: May 28, 2010
Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

Dear Mr. Vike, my husband and I observed something strange. I think my husband has had enough of this UFO stuff, and I must say I'm pretty upset about the fact that I don't think he truly believed me about the first sighting on May 1st 2010. I had seen this thing again on May 24th and chased it in my car to the Catholic School, where it took off very quickly and hovered over the saw mill area. I couldn't get clear footage of it, so didn't report it as I thought I've been receiving some flack about my first sighting, and I must say I was beginning to doubt it myself.

Were my eyes just playing tricks on me? Tonight I was on my way to bed and stopped to have my last smoke, and low and behold up in the clouds to the north there it was again. I have had my tripod ready with my camcorder on it just in case the object came back, so I grabbed it and told my husband to get out of bed and come look at the thing. I'm so happy that I finally got pretty clear footage of this thing, and that is no old man's kite as was suggested to me, or an in air jet refueling procedure. I don't know what it is, and am happy that I have a really clear image of the thing hooray! I uploaded the video to YouTube so that you can see it. Thank you.

Woodstock, Ontario UFO/Lights Filmed (Amazing Pictures)

Posted: February 3, 2009

Date: September 2, 2008 Time: 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Woodstock, ON. Number of witnesses: 9 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was up early letting our dogs out. I was waiting for them to return when in the south of our property something caught my eye. It was (what I initially thought) was a very bright star. When I looked again, I noticed the "star" was flashing very bright lights of green, white, red and mauve. I was very taken back by the vibrant colours it was flashing and immediately thought it was a plane. But I realized it couldn't be. It was staying still over our barn roof very distant, but close. After watching it for 15 mins. I started to second guess myself, as this really seemed bizarre to me. I then asked my 18 year old daughter to get out of bed to have a look. I didn't tell her why or what I just pointed out to her to look at the star above the barn. She looked in a half awakened state and said, "Ya, what about it." Then she started to wake up and shouted, "Wow, what is that?" I said, "I didn't know but to go get her telescope out and wake up the other kids."

My other three came down to look in a half awakened state. Their ages are 17,15 and 14. They all saw the same thing I did. I then called my husband who was on his way to work. I asked him to stop his vehicle and look back in the direction of our barn. He couldn't see anything and I think at the time, he thought we were a bit crazy. We focused the telescope on the object and could see in a very distinct line lights of red, green, white and mauve. We tried to take pictures of it with our digital camera but didn't seem to have any luck because of the darkness of the sky. We were all so shocked and I wanted someone else to see what we were seeing I called my mother who lives about 10 kms. away to the south. I asked her to look outside to see if she could see it. She couldn't from her house. I told her to get in her car and come over because I wanted someone else to see what we were seeing. I told her to hurry because dawn was coming and she would miss it. That was at 6:00 a.m. this morning. I also made a phone call to our friends who lives in town about 5 kms. away. I woke them up as well and asked them to look. Pleading that I wanted someone else to witness it.

They too, couldn't see what we saw. However, my friend, jumped in her car and was driving on the outskirt of town. She told me then she couldn't really see anything. By this time, my mother had arrived at our house, it was then about 6:10-6:15 a.m. I told her to hurry before the sun was on it. She looked through the telescope and could see the lights flashing in a row. At the same time, my oldest daughter was climbing on top of our van and randomly taking pictures. Again, thinking we were not getting anything of validation. Upon coming inside, we started to go through our pictures and could actually see little lights in the sky against the early dawn. Then we started to zoom in on the pictures and what we saw sent shivers up our spines. We have many pictures of lights in the form of triangles and lines with the coloured lights. We want to show someone these. We have never experienced anything like this and are very confused as to what we think they may be and what our logical/rational mind think they should be. As dawn approached all the other stars in the sky disappeared but the lights hovering above our barn. It all ended by 6:30 a.m. We just noticed after we left for a brief minute, it was gone.

Later, in the morning I went to show my friend Joyce, our "proof" we were not making it up. She confirmed again she couldn't see anything our way on her drive, except one star in the distant. I asked her if she noticed any other stars out, as that was something we DID notice. She said, "No, there wasn't any. Just that one star." I told her I believed it to be our sighting.

I then went to my best friends' Lisa house with a bit of hesitation to ask her opinion as to what my pictures looked like to her. She couldn't explain them either but agreed it was weird. She wanted to come down tonight to see if we could see any. As night approached , we started to look over the barn. There wasn't anything. Not a star in sight. As it became darker though, we started looking around the sky more. Off to the west we saw the same flashing "star." But this time it wasn't as close or as bright. We called my friend Lisa over. She came over and looked in the telescope that we had brought out again and witnessed what we were all seeing. My husband came up from the barn and too, witnessed the same thing. But it seemed farther away. So, the kids and myself with Lisa all took a drive out farther to the country where there wasn't false lighting.

On a very dark road we watched for approximately an hour and saw two flashing objects in the sky. One to the west and one to the south west. We all agree we could see the flashing lights of red, green and white and they hovered. We actually saw the objects move slowly left to right and in a half circular motion at times, but always remain in approximately the same location. We also observed when we saw the airplanes would be flying closely by the object they distinctively moved left to right and then back again but always maintaining the same location.

After awhile we drove home. None of us really knowing what to think and really what to believe. We all know what we saw. We all know what the pictures show but we really are looking for logic and rationale...but can't seem to come up with any. None of us were disbeliever, but none of us could say we were believers. Even with what we have all witnessed, we still are confused.

I have the pictures on our memory stick and I have not taken them off. I don't want anyone to disprove our authenticity of our picture. They are genuine and unexplained.

Please email us if you would like to see them. Maybe you can explain to us what we can't explain, even when we ALL have seen what we have.

Thank you.

Thank you to the witness for their report, also I have requested to have a look at the witnesses photos.
