Highway 16 Reports May Be Linked

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article

Terrace Standard News.

A Houston, B.C., based investigator is wondering if people here have seen unusual, bright objects in the skies over Terrace.

Brian Vike an independent UFO Field researcher, says residents from Smithers to Prince George have reported a recent rash of UFO sightings.

He’s wondering if people in Terrace saw anything out of the ordinary during the month of February that would be part of a pattern he’s noticed east of here along Highway 16.

Vike says a major sighting took place on February 1 just 3 kms east of Telkwa, outside Smithers. Witnesses there reported seeing bright objects in the sky.

Witnesses in Houston, Burns Lake and Vanderhoof reported seeing something similar.

To date, Vike has received reports stemming from about January 31 to February 3.

16 To 20 Orange Lights Observed In The Sky From South Surrey British Columbia

Date:  September 13, 2014
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else saw what my girlfriend and I saw Saturday evening about 8:30 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m.

We were relaxing on my deck in the evening. We were facing each other chatting when she told me she had just seen a fireball with a tail of flames trailing over to the West of Vancouver.

We live in south Surrey, British Columbia area. It lasted for a few seconds, but was gone by the time I turned to look. We knew that sightings of meteors were in this area over the few days. From her description I assumed it was either a falling satellite entering the atmosphere, or a meteor.

She then commented on some orange lights in the sky behind me. I turned and looked. We could clearly see 3 orange objects moving at a constant speed across the sky. I grabbed my binoculars and we walked onto the road to get a better look.

At first I saw 4 white lights in the distance travelling south over White Rock, British Columbia. Following behind I could see 1 orange light, it was about the same altitude. Then we saw the 3 oranges lights about a few hundred feet apart from each other.

Looking through the binoculars, I could see distinct orange lights in a circle shape with reddish glow emanating mostly of the upper half of the globe.

I observed all 3 with the same characteristics. They travelled south and seemed to diminish in size fairly quickly becoming a small white light then disappeared. This all happened in about a minute.

Just as we finished with them disappearing, we were surprised to  see 3 more orange light appearing from what was across from the west. They travelled the same speed, altitude. This event in groups of 3 occurred about 4 or 5 times.

I was able to observe them over a period of several minutes, in which I looked closely at the orange light and the surrounding reddish glow to detect and shape of an aircraft. I could make out no such form of any kind.

I have watched planes in the late evening coming over head and with the tell tale flashing aircraft lights could see the wings and the fuselage. However I was unable to make out any such details concerning the orange lights.

We counted approximately about 16 to 20 of these orange lights. While waiting to see if any more would appear, I saw at low level in the same area from which the orange lights have come, the tell tale signs of an aircraft with the flashing blue and red lights and 2 or 4 large white lights in the center.

It was coming towards us, but as I watched, it began a left turn and I could see the outline of the wings and the body of the plane. It seems to bank left at low altitude into a tight U turn and disappeared below the tree-line.

My girlfriend and  I both witnessed these events. We talked today with an employee of the YVR airport about this for further information on this event. He had no input into this matter.

Has anyone else seen this event.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Canadian UFO Sighting Reports - 289 Reported Sightings As Of August 16, 2008

August 16, 2008

Brian Vike

British Columbia leading in the number of reported sighting so far.

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2008 is 289 cases. Running Count

Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research can be reached at 250 845 2180. But please note, this number is to be used only for anyone wanting to file a UFO report or the media if they would like to contact me. Or you can write to me through the HBCC UFO Research website.

Update takes us through up until August 16, 2008

*HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO* together have received 289 written (and audio) UFO sighting reports from January 1, 2008 up until August 16, 2008 and I am sure the total number will climb as we still have a little over four months left in 2008.

British Columbia in 2008 leads the Canadian provinces with 119 reported sightings, followed by Ontario with 78 cases.

Below is a break down on reports received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINO from January 1, 2008 to August 16, 2008.

HBCC UFO Research Note on the total number of received by August 16, 2008. The numbers below relate to what we have received from January 1, 2008 and the numbers will climb throughout 2008, or until the end of this year.

Sighting reports from January 1, 2008 up to August 16, 2008

British Columbia - 119 reported sightings)

Ontario - 78 reported sightings

Alberta - 23 reported sightings

Nova Scotia - 13 reported sightings

Quebec - 17 reported sightings

Manitoba - 12 reported sightings

Saskatchewan - 11 reported sightings

New Brunswick - 12 reported sightings

Newfoundland - 4 reported sightings

Yukon - 0

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2008 is 289 cases.

The sightings range from meteor sightings, aircraft, stars, the ISS, etc. Although many of the sightings were certainly explainable, there were some really amazing cases in which no answers could be found and I am still looking for a rational explanation for some events.

One of the most amazing UFO events took place between Houston and Burns Lake, British Columbia on August 3, 2008 where two men were stopped by a UFO which was hovering in front of their vehicle, not once byt twice on the same evening. Also on August 8, 2008 in the same general area, Uncha Lake South Of Burns Lake, British Columbia a number of eyewitnesses watched a large platform with two circle objects attached to it floating/drifting across the evening sky and finally disappearing over a local mountain. This craft?UFO was estimated to be 200 to 500 feet in length.

I should also add the Okanagan in British Columbia is again proving to be a Canadian hotspot for reported sighting. In particular Vernon, B.C. has been a very active area.

Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 289 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces by the end of the year.

I couldn't even guess how many UFO reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years.

Like I always tell folks, no matter when the UFO event took place, please send in your report, either to HBCC UFO Research or UFOINFO as we are here to help where we can, and are extremely interested in what the witness has to say. I also keep harping on an important part of this UFO topic, and that is that the witness who is reporting to us, is that their private/personal information is completely confidential.

Well in the next four months we shall see what other interesting cases come into us. Don't forget to file your sightings, new or old.
