Penticton, British Columbia 3 Orangish Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 2003 Time: 12:20 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle

Full Description of event/sighting: I was sleeping outside on the deck trying to fall asleep, but staring blankly at the sky. Out of the corner of my eye I saw 3 orangish lights in a triangle, it was sort of hovering in the sky. It was hard to say at what distance was. But I would say further than airplane at distance, closer than the stars. Sort of a big gap there I guess. So it was hovering back and forth and as soon as I made eye contact with it, it "burnt out"? kind of hard to explain it, but almost like a little fireworks that squiggled out. So that's all I had seen, and I got too scared and hid under my blankets to be honest. Then three days later I found out that my cousin had seen the same thing right next door. The reason I decided to report this was because I was reading an article in the October 2005 Westjet Up magazine about 'Creepy Canada', and realized that the sighting in Kelowna (near Penticton) was very similar.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Lethbridge, Alberta Two Triangle Shaped Flying Objects

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 22, 2003 Time: 12:30 a.m. (Tuesday morning) Email report

I was just returning from a midnight jog and I was sitting on my front steps which face south and was just cooling off then I noticed something moving in the sky not exactly above me but to the west a bit. I thought they were birds flying overhead but when I stood up to take a better look they were two triangle shaped flying objects with what looked like orange tips on each corner. I couldn't really see the object perfectly clear because of the city lights. As they disappeared behind a tree on the west side of my house I ran west to the street to follow them as they flew without a sound in a northwest direction but couldn't see nothing after that. As I stood there gazing up at the sky I noticed a bright star which probably was the Space station moving in an eastern direction. I don't know what to make of this event but am thankful that I am one of the few to witness something like this.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

HBCC UFO Note: I would always recommend that if anyone shows these types of problems on their bodies, or any other for that matter. Please do seek medical advise. It is for your own safely and let us hope some answers can or will be found.

Terrace, British Columbia A Large Glowing Oblong Shaped Object

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 24, 2003 Time: 11:45 p.m.

A witness called to tell me his story of what he and his wife saw. We live alongside the Skeena River which runs through Terrace, British Columbia. Our home is located high up on Mount (deleted by HBCC UFO), from here we have an excellent view of the surrounding area. We sometimes turn the lights off and just sit around with a coffee looking at what is going on below us. As we watched the traffic traveling along highway #16, entering the town of Terrace. (Terrace/Kitimat Junction), we saw a large glowing/oblong shaped object moving slowly along side highway #16 heading north.

We thought at first it may have been a aircraft as the object paced some of the vehicles on the road. But then realized that whatever it was had to be way to low for any plane to fly at night in this area. Eventually the object made a sudden move, or jerked across the highway to the opposite side and came to a stop. (HBCC UFO Note: I asked the witness what he meant by the object jerked. He told me it looked as if it would either stop for a split second, then start moving again, or as it moved a head it would side back just a bit from where it was coming from and then travel a head).

As the witnesses watched it sitting in a stationary position on the west side of the highway, he said it looked like it gained a little altitude and then short off towards the west at an incredible rate of speed. Matter of fact the fellow who watched this take place said, "if you were watching close when it sped off, you would have missed it due to how fast it was traveling". The witness guessed the two of them watched the object for approx: a minute before losing sight of it completely. He went on to tell me that this was not the first time he had saw something rather strange over the Terrace area. Last year (2002) his children dropped by for a visit, and one of the kids grown and now married, gave out a yell and all of them watched a huge glowing/golden colored "thing" moving over the town of Terrace. He said it moved fairly quick, but again stressed that whatever it was, was enormous. He had read articles on myself (HBCC UFO) in the Terrace Standard newspaper last year, but felt funny about coming forward to tell the story. But this year he said, I had to talk to someone over what we both saw, as it was just so strange.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Terrace, British Columbia An Object Of White Grayish Color

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 18, 2003 Time: 11:15 p.m.

Brian, Last night at 11:15 p.m. I was talking to my neighbor, (name deleted by HBCC UFO), on his property. There was only a strip of sky exposed due to tree crown cover in place on his property. When I looked up I did see one high altitude object of white-grayish color traveling from the southwest to the northeast. I would say at least 10 Km up. The sky was clear and no cloud was around. I told (name deleted by HBCC UFO), who had his own UFO experiences The second object was following the visible one across the sky in a short distance..but remained invisible throughout the whole time means 50+ seconds.

Interestingly enough, the area of sky visible was very limited due to the tree crowns and it almost seems to me that " they " choose this direction to be seen like the one I saw months ago which came closer within a small break in the tree cover on my property to the east. This flight path is actually situated roughly 40 Km's to the southwest. The two objects were followed by a third one which flew in the same direction 2 minutes later.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Prince Rupert, British Columbia A Bright White Light

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 22, 2003 Time: 1:05 a.m.

I just had a report from Prince Rupert , British Columbia. The witness reported seeing an extremely bright flash of light in the southwestern part of the sky. The fellow then saw a bright white light traveling to the northeast coming from where he saw the bright flash. He mentioned that the light took approx: 5 minutes, traveling to the northeast from where he first caught sight of it in the southwestern part of the sky.

It finally just disappeared. The witness also said the light was very high up, but mentioned it was twice as bright than any satellite. Still another light, not as bright was noted coming from the exact position the flash was observed, but this second light was traveling to the north. No sudden moments were noticed. No sounds was heard, mainly due to the lights being so far away. So what we have is a extremely bright flash of light witnessed in southwestern part of the sky, and two other lights coming from the area the flash was observed.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Hecla Provincial Park, Winnipeg Manitoba UFO

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 6, 2003 Time: 9:30 p.m.

It was 9:30 pm Sunday July 6th at the Hecla Provincial Park (120 miles north of Winnipeg)

My wife and I saw an aircraft travelling east. It was very high in the sky as I could not identify aircraft wings and could barely discern the faint sound of jet engines. The aircraft caught my eye because it was shining brightly (probably due to the reflection of sunlight at sunset) and I found it odd that there was no vapor trail from the jet engines. The speed of the aircraft was constant (not unusually fast or slow).

The very strange aspect of this sighting was that the aircraft did a very quick and very sharp U-turn. It took less than two seconds for the aircraft to change directions and begin flying on the same path it had been travelling.

I work in aviation and know that vapor trails are not always visible due to air temperatures but jet aircraft cannot change directions that quickly.

I hope someone else saw this as well.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Enderby, British Columbia Cylinder Shaped Craft Splits In Two

Posted: December 30, 2007

HBCC UFO Research Note: On July 25, 2003 when the below sighting was reported, this started off one of the largest UFO events that has taken place in British Columbia, Canada. Brian Vike of HBCC UFO Research was overwhelmed with reports which ran into the first week of August, 2003. Just two of the cases that came out of the surrounding area was a case where there was over 200 eyewitnesses to a major sighting event and of course the now well known experience the ladies went through in Kelowna, B.C. There were stacks of reports coming in, so much so that I had to grab my fishing rod and take a break, that is how busy it got.

Date: July 25, 2003 Time: 8:30 p.m. Witnesses 6

Bright clear blue sky about 8:30 pm, six of us were on the beach at a small lake (Gardom Lake). When I looked up in the sky commented "what the heck is that?" as a very shiny, bright cylinder shape was stationary high in the sky and then "broke apart", split into two exact same size and cylinder shape and slowly moved apart in the sky. There was no sound, no jet stream, couldn't make out any wings and both pieces now moved at about the exact same speed apart in the sky. All six of us watched these cylinder shapes disappear out of site in a north/south direction.

We have watched hundreds of shows on television on different types of airplanes & ufo's etc and can't explain what this could have been. This was shinier & brighter than any jet almost chrome shiny. Very curious to know if anyone else spotted this. Later realized we had the camera but couldn't take our eyes away. We can forward a map and drawing of what we saw if required.

Thank you to Mr. Peter Davenport at the NUFORC Witnesses can use the NUFORC's Online Sighting Reporting Form. http://www.ufocenter.com

Enderby, British Columbia Follow Up By Brian Vike HBCC UFO Research

Date: July 25, 2003 Time: 8:30 p.m.

This is a follow-up to the Enderby, B.C. sighting which was reported to Mr. Peter Davenport at the NUFORC.

I telephoned one of the witnesses who reported a sighting for July 25, 2003 to gather a little more information on what the witnesses saw at 8:30 p.m. at Gardom Lake. The story is actually rather interesting.

The gentleman I talked with, told me his wife was the first to notice one large single object sitting stationary in the blue sky. She gave out a yell and pointed into the sky. This is when a total of 6 people saw the unusual object. But by the time everyone else was observing the it, it had already broke (separated) into two sections. Both section after the break up were the exact same size. (I asked if there was any type of explosion which may have caused the object to break into the two section, and the witness said no. The single object basically spit into two parts).

After it broke up, the folks said the "objects" went in separate directions, one heading north and the other south. The fellow I chatted with said the craft was sitting at approx: 30,000 to 40,000 feet at his best guess. Also they noted after the craft separated, and holding their hand up to get a rough idea how close the two section were to one another at the height they were at, they guessed them to be approx: one inch a part. The witness also noted that the two parts did not pass one another (stayed close to one another), but did slowly drift a part going in different directions until they lost sight of them.

He mentioned that it was like looking at the chrome bumper of a car with the sun reflecting off it. The brightness to the objects were extremely bright. There was no sound detected, no contrail from any of the them. He also gave a approx: size each of the objects may have been. He estimated they might have been 1/4 inch in length, this using your finger nail at arms length. (Note: If the estimated size is even close, the objects must have been enormous in size).

The sighting lasted for approx: 4 to 5 minutes.

I am still hoping the other witnesses will call. Also the witness said he would get a drawing of what they saw to me, and there exact location.

British Columbia UFOs, Beam Of Light, Frightened Residents

Posted: December 30, 2007

By Brian Vike

Over 200 witnesses speak out - We Want To Know!

What can cause so many residents in various communities from Kamloops through to the Okanagan and the Kootenays in British Columbia left scratching their heads, wondering what it was they all witnessed. Also many people became very frightened and ran into their homes. The answers to the questions I have been asked have been hard to come by, but we certainly know something extraordinary did take place on July 28, 2003 in the early morning hours.

The story begins with a family who was camping at St. Mary's Lake, which is located approximately 12 miles east of Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada. Around 12:45 a.m. the husband and wife decided to do some star gazing as the children were asleep and the night was warm and the sky clear and full of stars. As the couple stood looking into the night sky they observed a very bright, white light heading in a southeasterly direction. The moon sized light was witnessed flying low over top Bootleg Mountain and across the lake and at times it's speed did vary. As it slowed, then picking up speed once again the witnesses watched the light zig zag slightly and at times it seemed to wobble until it was out of sight.

When they arrived back home from their camping trip they contacted the Kimberley RCMP detachment and spoke to a Cpl. Rod Carbonneau to enquire if others had reported seeing the object. Cpl. Rod Carbonneau said the detachment received no calls over this matter. The Cranbrook Airport was also contacted and asked if there were any aircraft in the area of the sighting .... but none were reported in the vicinity the object was observed. For the couple who watched this amazing sight on July 28, 2003 not many answers were fourth coming. A couple of area residents did telephone the folks who watched the event telling them what they also saw that night, and another did make a report to the local newspaper.

From A Few Witnesses To a Flood Of Calls.

A report was made to Peter Davenport at the NUFORC in Seattle, Washington and then the sighting report was forwarded on to me here at HBCC UFO Research (Houston, British Columbia) for a follow-up investigation. What I did not realize at this time was just how large this one case was going to be. From a handful of witnesses the case exploded into a major event where I ended up with over 200 eye witnesses to something very mysterious.

Two things happened in the early morning hours that Sunday, a large moon sized object was seen by many area residents, and what followed left many folks in communities such as Kamloops, Vernon, Kelowna, Kimberley, Cranbrook and as far as Jaffray, British Columbia scratching their heads wondering what it was they saw. A beam, or ray of white light was observed from Kamloops as far southeast as Jaffray, British Columbia. People who watched the strange and puzzling event said the white light looked as bright as a florescent tube and was arced from horizon to horizon as if one was viewing a rainbow. The beam of light sat almost stationary in this position for approximately an hour before dissipating. Almost everyone who witnessed the beam of white light said they had never seen anything like this before. All said they have watched the northern lights many times, but they commented this was certainly not the northern lights!

A Few Of The Eye Witness Accounts - The Light/Object (July 28, 2003)

A gentleman from Cranbrook, B.C. telephoned me and reported that he and his family were sitting outside and were discussing how bad the forest fires are throughout the southern interior when one of the family members spotted what they thought was a airplane with it's landing lights on and heading in their direction. As the bright white light drew closer to them, the size was growing rapidly and so was the brightness of the light. Before they knew it, the light/object was upon them. The family was so frightened due to the immense size of the light/object being almost at the edge of their property that the children ran into the house screaming. The mother followed closely behind. The father followed his wife and kids into the home, but stopped to take one last glance at whatever it was, and watched it make a 90 degree turn to the south. When I spoke to the dad he told me that they heard not a sound coming from it.

Another report came from a lady who was with a group of people on their holiday at their cabin on one of the local Kimberley, B.C. lakes. She told me they were sitting outside on the deck when one of the guests pointed towards the northwest. Low over one of the mountains came a huge, extremely bright white light traveling slowly in a zig zag pattern heading to the southeast. As it got closer to the resort area, many people became uncomfortable due to how strange the object/light was acting. As it passed straight overhead not a sound was heard. Some of the folks who were there said it was like looking at a full moon on a clear night. It was that big!

Two men in a pick-up truck traveling north along the highway just south of Wycliffe spotted the large bright object flying south. As they watched the large light/object close in on their location they pulled the truck over to the side of the highway, and jumped out of the vehicle to get a better look. Due to it being so low, so bright, and passing directly over top of them the light from the object lit up the highway and surrounding area. Both men stood frozen in their tracks and speechless. Both fellows said it moved quickly in a straight line and made no unusual maneuvers. Again no sound was heard which is remarkable due to how close it was to these men, and all the other witnesses.

The above is a small example of what folks saw that night. There are many more reports here of area residents reporting seeing the same thing.

A Few Of The Eye Witness Accounts - Beam Of Light (July 28, 2003)

One lady said what she saw was very strange, it didn't behave like the northern lights as she noted that the lights danced across the sky, or looked like a curtain of shimmering light. She wondered if the long dry hot weather may have something to do with what she was seeing. But her thoughts changed quickly as she watched the beam of light come from the northwest horizon and impaled itself on one of the local hills and that is where it ended, according to this witness.

A party of four witnesses were out for a few days on one of the areas lakes just outside of Kimberley, B.C. Everyone was having a good time talking and having a few spirits. One of the men who was sitting on a camping chair had just poured himself a drink, when he looked up and said to the rest of the people he was with, "do you see what I am seeing"? Everyone replied, "yes"! The man who asked the question was so surprised at what he was looking at, he poured his drink onto the ground and thought he'd had one to many that evening! They all watched a beam of narrow bright white light run in an arc from horizon to horizon.

First they wondered if it might have been a search light as it was so bright, but they soon ruled this out due to the miles and miles the light covered. Again all these witnesses said this event lasted for approximately one hour before it dissipated.

Some three weeks after people saw the beam of light on July 28, 2003, I had calls from Kelowna and Kimberley British Columbia reporting that the beam of light was back in the night sky. Two Kelowna residents stood on the patio with phone in hand reporting what it was they were seeing. The exact white beam of light sat stationary running from horizon to horizon and was extremely bright.

Four Kimberley residents stood outside watching the beam of light, they reported standing under a street lamp and even with brightness from the street light they could clearly see the beam of light sitting in the dark sky.

Conclusions

There is no doubt that something very unusual took place on Sunday, July 28, 2003 in the wee hours that morning. What folks saw in all these communities seems to be a mystery. But I have tried to come up with some reasonable answers for all the questions everyone had for me.

Here Is What I Know

Over 200 witnesses watched an amazing event unfold on July 28, 2003 (early morning). Some observed the object and others observed the beam of light. (Exact numbers are broken down for how many saw the object or beam of light below.

What I didn't say is how many saw both).

38 witnesses observed a huge, bright white low flying light/object.

162 witnesses observed the reported beam of bright white light.

The International Space Station passed over Kimberley, B.C., at 00:24 hrs. on July 27, 2003.

A Fire Ball was observed flying in a southeasterly direction over the West Coast of Canada and the U.S.

Most of the witnesses reported the light/object and beam of light running from the northwest to the southeast.

There would have been a lot of air traffic in some of these areas due to the fire fighting efforts to control the devastating forest fires which raged through some of these areas in the summer of 2003.

Our hearts go out to the people who were effected.

So, the questions that need an be answered are.... What was the strange, large, glowing bright object? Did the object cause the beam of light which sat stationary in the night sky for approximately an hour as the object traveled through the areas?

As for the object, this is certainly a mystery. After a lot of time speaking with witnesses, looking at data on astronomical events, checking on the flight paths, seeing if there were aircraft in these areas flying at the time of the sighting...... I have come up against a brick wall. I have not found any rational explanation for what people saw that night. Fireballs for example as far as I know do not make 90 degree turns to another direction. Also seeing that the object was so low, traveling rather slow in many of the reports and not making a sound. This again is certainly strange. Something else I found rather interesting, was the fact that reported sightings had dropped from my area here in the pacific northwest of British Columbia and reports of unusual crafts of every kind were now being seen and reported by many people residing in the areas from Kamloops, the Okanagan straight through into the Kootenays. Almost every different shape, color and size have been reported to HBCC UFO Research. Did the over 800 forest fires attract visitors from above? I am sure we will never really know the answer to that question..... ?

The beam of white light ended up still being as baffling as the object. When reports started coming in I was sure what everyone was seeing was nothing more than the northern lights. But as the list of witnesses grew, and hearing their comments, I started wondering if there was a connection to these unknowns and the beam of white light. Out of the 126+ witnesses who observed the ray of light running across the night sky from horizon to horizon, only one report was filed saying they believed it to be nothing more than the northern lights. (which I report on below). Everyone else said they have never witnessed anything like in their lives. All said they have watched the northern lights on many occasions, and in their words "this was not the northern lights".

A radio station host put a question on air to the people in the area, asking "has anyone seen strange lights in the night sky?" I was told reports flooded in over this beam of light, and how everyone was left not knowing what it was they saw.

To be fair to all sides, I placed below an email I received from a person who did have some knowledge in astronomy, weather phenomena and the northern lights. One thing I would like to point out, is that what the gentleman viewed was not on the day of this major event.

The email came from a gentleman who, on the evening of July 26, 2003 and morning of July 27, 2003, stated that a sailing regatta was held by the Kelowna Yacht Club. Although the event discussed in the report above took place in the early morning hours of July 28, 2003, I thought the report below was important due to how close all of the events were to one another. Plus I want to give both sides on this case.

A Devastating UFO Encounter In Kelowna, British Columbia

Posted: December 30, 2007

By Brian Vike

The story is real but one of the names in this report is fictitious for obvious reasons. Corina, the driver of the vehicle is her real name.

Monday - August 18, 2003 I received a telephone call from Corina who lives in Kelowna, British Columbia. The lady was very upset and had a time speaking of the event that took place with her and a close female friend of hers. She told me today that a friend had brought over a newspaper article which was run in the Kelowna Capital Newspaper. The headline read "Seeking Witnesses to UFO." which showed up on August 15, 2003.

Here Is Corina's Story

She tells that her and her friend are having a very hard time dealing with what took place. Also another couple who lives in the area watched an aerial craft hovering close to the location where the two ladies had parked there car at the side of the highway and gave confirmation to the incident, or at least witnessed an object.

At approx: 12:05 a.m., July 31, 2003 the two ladies were playing around on the computer when Linda said, we haven't done any star gazing in a long time, so Corina, the lady who contacted me said, you're right, lets go out and do some star gazing. They left home at 12:05 a.m. heading out to an area where they would get a look at the clear night sky without having lights to obscure their view. Corina drove to Glenmore, which is north from where she lives and is on the back road heading to Winfield from Kelowna, B.C.

They were driving along and Corina reported that there was quite a bit of traffic for that time of the night, but soon after they decided to stop just off to the side of the road to see what they might notice, the traffic stopped coming. There was not a light from any vehicles, not anything other than a very dark stretch of road. Corina grabbed her flashlight and shone it into the sky as she has done this in the past. Her friend Linda had the binoculars on the other side of the car scanning the starry night sky. They were there only a minute out of the car when her Linda said, this is really strange. There are three stars up in the sky and formed into a triangle shape. All three lights at this time were solid white. Both ladies watched as the three white lights started moving, but moving together. The witness with the binoculars said stars don't do that, and Corina replies, of course not, as she thought it may have been a plane or something. Linda replies, no this is not a plane as the lights were changing color to a neon green and the object had stopped and hovered just ahead of their car on the highway.

Corina turned the headlights off, and shone her flashlight down the road in front of her car. They were worrying about animals such as a bear, cougars, etc. being around in this isolated area. As she shone the light up the road both of the women spotted something which frightened them a lot. Five sets of eyes staring at approx: 40 feet away from them. As frightened as they were, their first thoughts were of coyotes or some other wild animal, but she said once you really look your brain takes it in.

Corina describes the creatures as being roughly four feet tall, dark gray shoulders and coming towards the women. Corina said "I was so scared I could hardly talk, and could hardly breathe". She yelled to her friend Linda, "get in the car, get in the car". Corina said they both scrambled to get back into the vehicle, but she said it was like moving through quicksand and it felt horrible. Being so terrified and trying to move as fast as they possibly could, it felt as if everything was slowing down around them.

Once they were both back in the car, Corina tried to turn the ignition on so she could get the power windows up. But all the electrics on the car was failing. The dome light, headlights were going off and on, on their own and as she said. "Everything was going nuts"

Finally the car started and they turned around in the middle of the road and sped off towards home and as they traveled along they noticed a fair bit of traffic coming in their direction. (Corina commented to me, where was all the traffic when all this was happening?) As they drove along the road, Corina said to Linda, "this is the weirdest thing. "She said I feel like electricity, my whole body is tingling, just like I was zapped by a charge from a battery". When Linda heard this, she said, "I didn't want to say anything to you as you might think I was nuts, but I am feeling the same. As if I was hit by an electrical charge." As Linda was explaining how she felt, and facing Corina she glanced at the clock in car and said, "Jesus Corina, look at the time" ! Corina said what are you talking about ? Linda said we were only stopped and out of the car for a few minutes at the most, and the time of the car's clock reads an extra 25 minutes of time.

As they drove along and close to home they both discussed it and wondered if they had imagined it all. As they were just about home, they turned onto Baker Street which is covered in darkness next to a field. All of a sudden they saw this bright, glowing neon green ball low in the sky. The object started moving to the right, "stop", left, "stop", right, "stop", left, "stop" and then it started to move away until the ladies car came to a halt, and so did the object. Before they knew it, the ball of green light started heading towards them at a high rate of speed and hovered high above their car. At this point they just wanted to get to their home and be as far away from whatever it was as possible.

The driver sped off quickly again and they headed into an orchard which was very close by. They thought they would not be seen hiding amongst the trees, plus there was no lighting in this area to reveal their position. Corina looked at her friend and said, "they will never find us here". Both women are sitting in the car trying to get themselves together as the driver said she was losing it at this point. Only after a very short time after arriving in the orchard Linda said, Corina you better look out the front windscreen and look up slightly. We don't have just one green ball of light, there are now three, glowing green objects. The way the green lights were in the sky, it looked as if the they formed a triangle formation and all moving now together. After a short period of time each of the green lights moved away in different directions.

(HBCC UFO asked if the witness could give some idea of how large the green lights were. The witness told me each of the lights were approx: half the size of a full moon). After seeing the lights flying off into different directions the ladies raced home as quickly as they possibly could.

Once safe at home, both ladies shaken, they tried to come up with some reasonable explanation for what just happened. They tried to put it out of their minds but that was impossible ! Later on, both ladies turned in for the night and when they woke up in the morning, Corina discovered a large bruise on her left breast and another on the bottom of her foot. She did not know how they got there but she did know they were extremely painful.

As she sat drinking a cup of coffee, Linda finally got up and was walking down the hall towards the kitchen when she said, "god, good morning - do I feel rough this morning". After Linda finished saying that, Corina watched as blood came pouring from Linda's nose. Corina jumped up, ran and grabbed a towel. Linda also commented that she was having a lot of pain in her lower back area. She asked Corina to have a look to see if there was anything that could be seen. So she looked and gasped, there was a large circle burned into her skin and was located in the middle, lower back area (tail bone). Also bruises were found on Linda's body as well, some of them appeared to look like finger marks and there were three of them on each thigh. Both women at this point were shocked, upset and very frightened.

Linda, who was up visiting from the Abbotsford ended her holiday and headed back home. Two days after being home in Abbotsford, B.C. she went to consult her family doctor due to still experiencing the terrible pain which was originating from her lower back, plus it was not getting any better. Her doctor examined her, and her injury to her back, the doctor said if I didn't know any better I would say you have a radiation burn. He was of course referring to the burn mark on Linda's back. The doctor is still trying to heal this mark on her back, as something had burned right through the outer layer of this ladies skin.

I would also like to add, this Missing Time event took place around the same date over 200 witnessed watched one amazing event unfold in southeastern British Columbia. I also received a flood of sighting reports which also came from this area. July 27/28 to August 18, 2003.

Photo of the burns, etc can be found on the HBCC UFO Research website. Note I will dig up the pictures and post them soon with this report.

Kimberly, British Columbia Huge Object Flying Low And Zig Zagging

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 27, 2003 Time: Approx: 1:30 p.m. (actual time ?).

I telephoned another witness tonight over the July 27, 2003 sighting in the Kimberly/St. Mary's Lake area. The witness reported to me that she was in bed, and couldn't sleep due to the warm temperatures outside. Her bedroom blinds were up and the window fully open and then she gave out a cry, "holy cow". Their home is up on a large hill which gives them a very good view of the surrounding area. The witness suddenly noticed, what she thought was a bright star or maybe an airplane coming in with it's landing lights on because it was moving at this point. The lady mentioned that it was extremely large in size and flying very low. Actually the witness just laid their waiting to see a green and red light, thinking it was certainly an aircraft coming down the St. Mary's Valley heading in to land at the near-by airport. She told me that the airplanes take the route down the St. Mary's Valley when heading to Vancouver and back to Kimberly B.C.

The lady still laying there and watching the bright white light moving faster as it grew closer. All of a sudden it started maneuvering in a zig zag pattern. At this point in the sighting, where she could not see it anymore she jumped out of bed and headed toward her bedroom door, opened it and ran through her cottage styled home until she reached her front door of her home. The time she unlocked her front door and stepped outside the light was gone. I mentioned to this witness after taking her report about the 8 witnesses who saw a ray of light over the Jaffray, B.C. area which I reported on. She told me the light/object was traveling southeast from Kimberly, B.C. and would have flown straight over Jaffray, B.C.

(HBCC UFO Note: What makes this interesting is that we are finding more witnesses to the sighting which was originally reported to Mr. Peter Davenport at the NUFORC. Plus other people who witnessed the ray of light and the object itself. From what I am gathering is that the light/object may have caused the ray of light. But of course this is a guess on my behalf. I was also contacted by a very kind person today who read my report and told me of another witness who had made a posting at a UFO forum board and explained to everyone about this ray of light, same location, different witness. This lady also took pictures of the light ray and I am now trying to track her down so I can give her a phone call to gather more information on this whole event.

Thank you to this witness for her report.

Jaffray, British Columbia Ray Of Light

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: July 27, 2003 Time: Approx: 2:00 a.m.

I contacted a person who resides in Jaffray, British Columbia tonight as I heard they were witness to something pretty darn strange. Not only did she see what I am about to tell you, but so did 7 other witnesses. Bringing the total number of folks who observed this to 8.

Why I have found this to be an interesting sighting is due to Mr. Peter Davenport from the NUFORC receiving a report from a witness which took place on July 27, 2003 at St. Mary's Lake, 12 miles east of Kimberly, British Columbia. Due to Mr. Davenport receiving the St. Mary's Lake sighting, and myself helping in following up on this case, more witnesses names have come to light. Tomorrow I will be talking with another witness who was in another location who saw the same object pass over head. The one reported to the NUFORC.

The Jaffray, British Columbia Sighting below: Does these two reports hand something to do with one another.

As I mentioned above in my opening statement I talked with one of the witnesses who observed something strange on July 27, 2003 with seven others.

So at 2:00 a.m. one of the guests who were at the ladies home I chatted with tonight went outside and looked up into the night sky and saw a strange ray of white light which went right across the clear night's sky from the northwest heading southeast running in a straight line. The guest called everyone out to have a look due to it being very strange. Some of the thoughts people had who were observing this mentioned they first thought it may have been the northern lights. But all soon ruled out it being the aurora. The witness said the ray of light was so brilliant that many of the witnesses could see it rotating within it's self. Also it was noted due to the brightness of this light that they could see a black line running the whole length of the white light. The black line stayed in the same spot as the rest of the light rotated as mentioned above. She also said it looked like a jet stream to give a good example of what it looked like. Also the total length of the ray of light was all the same brightness. There was no portion of it brighter or dimmer. It remained constant right across the sky. (HBCC UFO Note: I did bring up the question, did anyone see any aurora at any other time that night? I was told no, none was observed).

The witness said the ray of light stayed in the same position for an hour before it started fading away. I also asked if any of them saw any other strange lights in the sky that night, and she told me no. They only observed the ray of light running across the sky. She also told me that the light was rather wide, meaning it wasn't just a small point of light. No sounds were heard at all. Jaffray, B.C. is directly southeast from the original sighting at St. Mary's Lake.

Thank you to this witness for her report.

Terrace, British Columbia An Egg Shaped Object Hovering

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: June 24, 2003 Time: approx: 10:20 a.m.

I received a telephone call from a witness at 9:10 a.m., June 27, 2003. A man reported to me that he and his wife were just heading out for a couple of days fishing trip at Prince Rupert, British Columbia. They were just outside of Terrace, B.C. driving on highway #16 along the Skeena River heading west when the man's wife gave out a yell for him to look up and towards the south. The gentleman said it took a couple of seconds before his brain kicked in, thinking what he was looking at was very unusual. He pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and both watched an egg shaped object hovering over the south side of the river at approx: 1000 feet. They mentioned it was approx: the size of a pick-up truck, shiny silver in color. It was completely smooth, or no seams on the object were visible. "Witness expressed: it looked like an egg"!! (he laughed and said they must grow large chickens in Canada).

They did not hear any sounds coming from it. The sighting lasted for approx: 10 to 15 seconds before it sped off at an incredible rate of speed south. He also said that since it wasn't that early in the morning there were other vehicles passing them on the highway, and a couple of vehicles had slowed way down and they could been seen looking in the direction of the object. The witness said I know what normal aircraft look like, and this thing was not anything that I have ever seen before.

HBCC UFO Note: Of course I am looking for any others who were traveling the highway that morning in hopes they may have seen the same thing. The witnesses had heard me on the radio and from there looked me up.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Vancouver, British Columbia A Single Blue Light

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: June 16, 2003 Time: 11:05 p.m.

I think I saw a UFO over Vancouver city on June 16th at 11:05 p.m. I came home from work and was closing my blinds on my window that faces North and I saw a single blue light traveling very slow towards the east. Then it got slower and slower, almost a complete stop, that's when I opened my window to see if I could hear any sound and I couldn't. Then it flashed a big bright white, yellowish light and made a sharp left turn and moved faster towards the North, the light fading as it moved. I lost sight of it over the high buildings in the downtown area. Do you know of any aircraft that has this kind of lighting and can move like that?

I would appreciate any information that you might have.

Thanks.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Knox Mountain, Kelowna, British Columbia Stationary Light Shoots Off !

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: Around June 2, 2003 Time: Approx: 12:30 a.m.

Hello, my name is (name removed). I just read the news paper article about the ball of fire that was seen heading into the lake a few Mondays ago, and happened to read the part about the 2 Okanagan women who saw those floating orange balls 4 years ago. I was reminded of that event from a TV show I was watching called Canada's Creepiest on Halloween, 2006. They said that 2 women had seen 3 orange balls in the sky that were dancing, and later on, saw an orange balls shoot towards their car.

I was on Knox Mountain camping with a girl friend of mine that same night, and we saw it too. We didn't see the 3 orange balls, but we saw the one that was stationary and then shot off. We had noticed it at around 1230 ish (?) And we were talking about it to each other for about 7 minutes trying to figure out what it was. It was lower than the horizon (if my memory serves me) and we had no clue what it could have been. So there we are, up on Knox looking at this thing that's hovering over towards the Crawford area, hasn't moved an inch since we spotted it, then all of a sudden bolts to the left and disappears behind the Mt. (we ran back home)

I like to believe in un-identified flying objects, but my friend is very skeptical. That night, I think, has changed her perspective, and has made it crystal clear for me that there is something out there.

I haven't told many people about this out of fear of looking crazy. But when I saw that TV special, then read the article in the paper, I had to tell someone, and now I think I'm telling the right person.

I'm not sure if this helps with anything. Or is relevant, but I wanted to let someone know who deals with these types of experiences. Thank you for your time, Brian. If there's anything I can do to help out with figuring out what happened over the lake a few weeks back, please let me know. Sincerely.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I know the date was in early June 2003 be/c I was graduating that year. We saw the orange ball about 2 weeks before grad b/c my friend, I remember, got bite by a mosquito and her eye was swollen still for grad. Our grad was in the middle of June and we still had exams to go back too. I'd place the incident around June 2nd, 2003. Hope this helps. Is there much UFO activity in the Okanagan? I never get to hear about it if there is. I find this topic fascinating and would be very interested on learning more about it. Thanks for getting back so quick.

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report.

Humboldt, Saskatchewan A Triangular Craft

Posted: December 30, 2007

Date: April 19, 2003 Time: 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

I'm from Regina, I'm a (deleted by HBCC UFO) year old female. My grandfather was celebrating his (deleted by HBCC UFO) so we decided to get the whole family (mostly from Ontario) to come visit and have a little party. We rented a hall and booked a near-by hotel in the small town. The party began at 2 in the afternoon and we had a nice day. It was getting later, it was around 6 or 7 at night on April 19, 2003 and the sun was starting to set. I had thrown my hip out of joint the day before and it was starting to hurt so I thought I would go back to the hotel room and lay down for a while.

I was walking down a back alley toward the setting sun when I saw something zooming across the sky at an unbelievable pace. (I remember squinting my eyes to try and get a better look). As it continued it's path out of the sunlight, I could see that it was a very large triangle (at first I thought it may be a stealth plane) but that's when it stopped abruptly in the air and hovered for what seemed like a very long time. I don't think stealth planes can do that, can they? Anyway, it zigged and zagged up into the sky (again at a jaw-dropping speed) never to be seen again. Now I know a stealth plane can't do that! I went back to the hotel and pondered if I had really seen what I had just seen. Things got very weird after that.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Was There A Mass UFO Sighting?

Posted: December 30, 2007

Terrace Standard newspaper April 2, 2003 http://www.terracestandard.com/ Article under the Community section.

By Jennider Lang

Terrace is living up to its reputation as a UFO hot spot. As many as 30 people may have recently witnessed two black, triangular-shaped flying objects in the Lakelse Lake area, the northwest's resident UFO researcher has been told.

Brian Vike, field researcher and president of HBCC-UFO, is now hoping to talk to eyewitnesses to verity the report.

He also wants to find out more details like the exact time, date and description of the sighting - thought to have taken place several weeks ago.

That would help him determine what witnesses saw. A variety of known objects such as stars, planets, meteors, or aircraft can be mistaken for UFOs.

Vike learned about the sighting after someone sent him an email telling him that more than 30 people had witnessed two triangular objects in the sky.

"I'm kind of chomping at the bit - all I need is a couple of names and number to get on this," he said from his home base in Houston, B.C. "From what I'm gathering, they're professional people - not just kids."

Vike is intrigued by the possibility that the sighting involves triangular-shaped objects, which are less commonly reported.

There's been a flurry of UFO reports along the Highway 16 corridor lately.

"It's just been non stop for the last little bit," he said, adding he's received eight or nine reports in the past week. "There's something. I don't know if it's military. It's a possibility."

Another recent report from the Terrace area involved a yellow ball of light the size of a basketball spotted over a trailer in Thornhill. It moved low in the air, travelling quickly before pausing above the mountain. "Then it proceeded like a bang," Vike says.

The recent activity suggests Terrace's top ten showing on the 2002 Canada UFO survey may have been no fluke. The survey counted 25 eyewitness reports from Terrace in 2002, putting us in third place overall, ahead of Houston, B.C., which is in fourth place and even ahead of major metropolitan areas like Toronto and Vancouver.

Northwest B.C. Leads In UFO Sightings

Posted: December 30, 2007

The Interior News Wednesday, April 2, 2003 95th year - Week 14 www.interior-news.com

Have you ever spotted strange lights in the sky or a fast moving object that defies the laws of gravity? If not, don't worry, you might. Chances of seeing a UFO in northern B.C. are greater than in any other region in Canada.

Terrace is the B.C. capital for sightings and third across the country, while Houston placed second in B.C. and fourth in Canada.

The list complied 483 eyewitness reports from around the country in 2002. One-third of all sightings were reported in B.C.

Brian Vike is a ufologist based out of Houston, B.C. and the founder of a UFO Web site. He has been an investigator of strange phenomenon in the region since 2000. Since the list was released. Vike said his phone has been ringing off the hook.

"People are aware now that there is someone who investigates and tries to figure out what people are seeing," Vike says.

Even in the last two months, there have been sightings reported in the northwest region.

One "large disk shaped object" was spotted on February 22, over a one hour period by observers in three different area in B.C.

The object was described as very large, slow moving, with bright lights on the underside and completely silent.

The first witness spotted the object in Mill Bay, Vancouver Island at 9:15 p.m. followed by two in Kitimat, at 10:20 p.m. Shortly after, a husband and wife stopped their vehicle between Terrace and Prince Rupert to watch the object.

While there have been hundreds of sightings in the northwest, many have been explained by military exercises or cosmic activity, such as planets or shooting stars.

"There are still so many that remain unexplained and people are seeing things all the time," says Vike.

A film crew from the Canadian Life Network arrived in the area recently to start shooting a new series called "The Magnificent Obsession."

Because of the surge of sightings in the past two years, Vike was asked to be a part of the documentary, which will include other ufologists from the U.S. and England.

T.V. Crew Tapes UFO Interview In Houston, British Columbia

Posted: December 30, 2007

Houston Today Wednesday, March 5, 2003 No. 10 by Jennifer Lang - (Reporter for the Terrace Standard Newspaper, Terrace, B.C.)

Northwest B.C.'s resident UFO researcher Brian Vike will be featured in an upcoming T.V. show on Canada's Life Network.

Vike, field researcher and president of HBCC UFO Research, said a four man television crew from the channel interviewed him at his home base of Houston B.C. last week. The show called "Magnificent Obsession", will also feature crop circles. The crew planned to head to Florida and England next.

Vike was joined by Chris Rutkowski, a Manitoba based UFO researcher who compiles the annual Canadian UFO survey. The crew taped 17 hours of footage for an upcoming show.

Last year British Columbia once again had the highest number of reported sightings in the country. But the biggest surprise is that two northwest, B.C. towns, Terrace and Houston, accounted for more sightings than almost anywhere in Canada, according to the latest survey.

Vike says he received more than 100 different eyewitness reports from people in communities all along Highway 16 last year.

That included a large number here in the Terrace area - the undisputed hot spot of the region for UFO sightings in 2002.

Vike says CBC TV is also planning to send a team to interview him in Houston in the near future.
