Full Description of event/sighting: After having a long nap from 7:00 until 10:30 p.m. I got up and stayed awake, while my husband and daughter went to bed. I was searching the Internet for maps to locate McNaught comet (C/2006 P1) in my place (Latitude: 7° 06', South. Longitude: 34° 53', West), Joao Pessoa, Brazil. I was upset because I realized it wouldn't be easy to see the comet from here.

I went to bed thinking about the comet and stayed observing the nice spot of clear sky I have trough my large bedroom's window (6th floor) which is always kept open during the warm summer weather. I have a nice view from here since there are no buildings around and we are only 100m from the beach in fact, from my window, I am facing the sea and "Ponta do Seixas", the eastern most point of the Americas.

There were no clouds, neither the moon and I was observing the sky and the constellations (The Southern Cross, The Great Dog, Orion...) when I suddenly spotted what, at a first sight, looked like a tiny cloud blown by the wind, I felt strange because it was moving quite fast. When I observed it properly, I have noticed it’s triangular shape without a clear contour made up of some faint points of white light (I could not count how many points, maybe six or seven).

The delta shaped "thing" was traveling soundless from southeast to northwest in a peculiar way with its wider angle pointing sideway (even a delta shaped airplane would not fly with one of the wings heading!). I then realized that could be a formation of orbs.

It was difficult to guess the altitude but it could be compared to a commercial plane flying at 3000m. It soon went of my visual field (passing over my roof) I run to the next room, facing north and in a second I could spot the triangular shape again. I observed it until it faded into the light sky of the city (away from the sea)

I doubt a person who was not intentionally watching the night sky would ever have noticed that "thing". I had the impression it was traveling camouflaged. I must add to this report that I have an engineering background and a considerable experience in observing the sky (I was an amateurs junior astronomer while at the university).

Additional Information Below: Hello Brian, Since then I have made a lot of suppositions and calculus:

I have taken a time average of many repetitions of my movements again and I found time of observation=20 seconds.

Altitude (h): I had to guess - my first impression is h > 3000 m = 3 km - reason: I am used to observe things closer than 3 km by just looking out from my window, boats, people at the beach, cars, planes - at smaller distances I see more details even at night.

Length (L): since the thing's longer side comprised approximately a 2º angle (2 full moon size), which equals 0.255 rd and then, L = 3000 x 0.255 = 76.5 m

Also, by estimating angles I could also calculate the speed (s) of the "thing":

1. Supposing h = 3 km then v = 954 km/h !

2. Supposing h = 6 km then v = 1908 km/h !!! ( In this case the length would be L = 6000 x 0.524 = 153 m !

3. I don't want to suppose any higher!

Yes, points of light - in fact they looked like faint stars (as I can see The Pleiades with naked eye) - I was not able to count them but they were around 5 to 8 points of light spread over the triangular area.

At that time my street and the region around is always completely silent - just the sea at a distance, no restaurants are open and everybody at home (2 more people) were asleep. I would have heard the sound of a plane or anything like if closer.

Clear glass windows measuring 1.50 x 1.20 (half of them open), no wind blowing (it is terrible warm by this time of the year) - 6th floor without any other apartment building around (only houses). Good visibility!

There are only 4 commercial flights per day arriving at Joao Pessoa since the main airports in the region are in neighbor cities (Recife and Natal) and even though, the airport is 30 km to the west away from here. I don't think this direction (Southeast to Northwest) is a flight corridor - I see some planes from South to North (over the sea) and the ones arriving here, I see at a distance East to West. I will observe more carefully from now on!

As I have estimated, the "thing" was really faster then a plane at cruise altitude.

The additional impression I can tell is that at first I thought it was a tiny cloud when I realized it was to fast and had points of light I was really frightened because I found strange, what appeared to me like a "flying blade". I have even said to me "Oh my God, what is that? I just calm down when I thought it could be transparent, or, less frightening, a formation of smaller points of light.

I have made a simple drawn of what it looked like.

Roar Was Deafening From Large Square And Triangular UFO’s Over Haysi Virginia

Full Description of event/sighting: We were watching the evening news when we heard a very, very loud roar. Mom said it was a jet, I said too loud unless it was crashing, I just caught a small look at it. 

About 8:00 p.m. we heard it again, we ran outside and over head coming across my Mom's house was a very large square shaped object. It had green lights at each corner, blue/white light in between. It was so low I thought it would clip the tree tops. The wind from it swayed the trees. The roar was so deafening, it was scary!

We could feel the warm air from it. From the southeast to northeast a second object appeared, triangle in shape with reddish/blue lights at the corners and small white lights in between.

When the two objects came near, the smaller triangle object "stopped", waited to let the other, larger thing pass, then followed. Our dogs went "crazy", so did the others I spoke with that night about the sighting. It was a few days until our dogs settled down.

A Frightening 20 Minute UFO Encounter Hammonds Plains Nova Scotia

Full Description of event/sighting: It was the night of March 10, 2007 at around 2:10 in the morning. My best friend and I were sitting in his car waiting to go on a school-organized trip to Quebec. The bus left at 5:00 a.m. so my friend and I decided to stay up and wait to drive to the bus and sleep the whole drive up.

We decided to wait on a new road that connected two different subdivisions (Voyager Run and Kingswood). The road was off of a lake and had no streetlights because it was just built. We parked the car near the only source of light, which I believe was a little watershed or hut with one light bulb at the top.

While sitting in the car my friend pointed out a bright white light in what we assumed was a far distance in comparison the trees on the lake. At first my friend thought it was a planet because of the random blinking of the light. After looking at this light for 5 minutes the passenger window become streaky and slightly fogged. After the streaks were formed we both realized this light was moving by keeping our heads completely still and by comparing the close streaks on the window to the light in the distance.

Once we made this realization after about 10 minutes of the movement of the light we noticed a drastic increase in the speed it was moving and could notice that it wasn't moving sideways anymore, but towards us and was getting bigger.

After watching this light move closer for 2 minutes, 3 more lights other than the original white flashing light were becoming visible. The other lights were, a very light blue on the left side, a bright red on the opposite side, and an even brighter white/yellow light on the top which would make it a triangle if it weren't for the other original flashing white light which was flashing slower and in different places making the shape unrecognizable.

At this point the shape was still to far to recognize a flying pattern which was the last thing leaving my friend and I to believe it still might be an airplane or something explainable.

After only another minute or so trying to interpret what this was the distance this thing seemed to travel in a short period of time seemed unbelievable. Once the object seemed to be close enough to be able to hear an engine I rolled my window down. As soon as my window went down I can't explain the feeling I got instantly, it was a feeling of panic.

My friend panicked as well because the object was hovering with a very slight humming sound over the lake in front of us. As the object was getting close it moved in a very slight up and down movement, but continued to move in a forward direction. The object wasn't very high in the sky, maybe about a 10-story building.

The way it moved made it hard to tell a shape. I only got about a 5 - 10 second detailed look at it. I am positive that I saw a curve to the shape on one side. The curve seemed to progressively light up with three different colors one at a time then fade them backwards' in the same manor. It was identical to the way the equalizers show the bass hits in a song but only horizontal and on one side of the object. The colors that lit up along the side were red, green, and yellow.

My friend instantly started the car in fear when the object was flying in a direction that would pass behind the car. As my friend started the car and put the car in gear the object had just passed behind the car and it instantly changed directions towards the car. The feeling of fear and curiosity that this thing had spotted us was a feeling I could not describe. My heart was beating incredibly fast, I have never felt anything like this. At first the feeling was fear and the feeling of a much greater power or energy in the sky that was capable of anything.

As my friend and I drove out towards the other end of the road that connected the two subdivisions the object would appear out my window one second and then my friends window as we went around every slight turn. Eventually when we reached the main road the object was no longer in sight anywhere.

I know what I saw was something of the unexplainable because of the feeling I got. I described the whole 20-minute encounter as best as I could with as much detail. If anyone has a similar story around the same area or different "please" let me know. I will never forget this experience that I witnessed just the other week. I am only 18, but my friend and I know that whatever we saw was not explainable.

I decided to keep the story to myself the whole time in Quebec because when I tell it its impossible to share the feeling of the experience.

An Orange Boomerang Shaped UFO Coshocton Ohio

Full Description of event/sighting: Ok, I tried to report this when it happened to 5 different sites and MUFON was the only one that worked. I have been on www.rense.com for years now so this is the truth so why not add it to your database?

I have always been interested in weird things (paranormal) and I am a normal college student about to graduate in June with a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ohio State and I just want everyone to know the truth.

On the early morning of July 18, 2003 at 12:45 a.m. I stepped out the back door of my parents to smoke a cigarette. I was a two pack a day smoker at the time. I felt a premonition to turn around and look over the door, over the roof, over the house. This was 4 years ago, but I remember it very clearly.

I looked up and there was this boomerang looking orange thing. It was like a cigarette, cherry and orange, but dull like when the cigarette isn't being hit and isn't lit up. Ok, long wings like a boomerang and about the size of the moon when it is normal altitude and like a fingernail. In the middle was a shaft almost like a butterfly, but more like a bat (curved, thinner wings). The "wings" came to a point at the ends. The shaft I remember was very close to the wings and almost touching but they didn't look covalently connected.

This flew in kind of an arc (it was really weird, jagged, but fluid) (Like a fluid motion but jerky, hard to put in words). I would say over 15 degrees of the sky, from NW over the roof to curve S, then SE (from my perspective relative to the horizon). This was all a matter of seconds. Then orange "stars" would appear in the same rectangular patch of sky (15x15 degrees) (right after the "boomerang") one at a time and go really fast and totally fluidly in crazy arcs and turns which must have had incredible G-forces. Because they were so fast ( I assume) they left a tracer and another would begin before the first was done almost like the light show of a lifetime. 

They had different start and stop points but all within this "rectangle" (maybe a little wider than tall) this lasted for like 15 minutes because I remember looking at the clock. It sucked because I knew I needed a camera, but I lived at school and I don't even know where one would be (my dad born in '47 mom in '49) and I didn't want to miss it. I didn't know what to do really as I was totally in shock and awe that was the title when I submitted it to MUFON, "Shock and Awe".

Anyways there was either a couple of fast "ones" or 100 -100s of them. So after however long (it was very impressive believe me) I decided I could run in the door grab the phone and would not miss anything. I called my sister (night owl) and tried to describe to her what I was seeing (I bashed my knee trying to snatch the phone all fast) and she was half out of it but looked outside in Columbus and saw nothing. She was no help so finally I got off the phone. A couple more minutes went by so I said to myself "I will run up and wake up my parents and get them out here pronto!" I ran inside up the stairs and said "Mom, Dad come out now" and ran out. I got out there and nothing.

My dad was pretty fast and was only like a minute behind though half-asleep. (1:00 am by now) He comes out and this bigger white light (like a couple of stars conglomerated) (still looking the same direction over roof which is N-NW) shot from east to west (from my perspective) just above the horizon. I said Dad, did you see that ?  He is old, skeptical, and tired. He said "what?"

It happened again and he saw it, I said "see it?" He said "Yeah, I think it was a bird or something (he thinks wrong in this case) "Then nothing. My Mom gets out there. I was kind of asking my Dad what he saw and looked up and right from the horizon straight up was a column of smoke. My parents go to Daytona every year and it reminded me of the space shuttle taking off but not nearly as thick in diameter and the column of "cloud" was wobbly looking. And that is it. I have never seen anything else though I try to look.

My Dad still says he saw something. Mom saw nothing. It is finals week so a reply might wait until next week or at least Friday. Plus I have no internet connection at my home, so it is a hassle to check my e-mail as often as I'd like. But I really didn't leave much out. It has been about 4 years and if you ask my Dad or my sister everything I told you is 100% true.

1937 Lights Moving Up And Down In Wood Grove And Cob Web Like Material In Trees Polo Missouri

Dear Brian, I was just reading on Rense.com about a diary of a woman's sightings of 1931 and my memory was jogged.

My Father in law God rest his soul, had stated to me that back on the 1930's (I'm trying to place a date my father in law went to WWII in 1941 so he must have been born in 1922 to enlist at 18 years of age. He was 15 or 16 years old, so the time was around 1937?)

He lived in Polo Missouri. This town is 35 miles North of Kansans City. One night he too had seen lights in the night, two nights in a row moving up and down in a wood grove about a mile from his house, he had stated that this was very strange due to no electricity in 1937.

Others had seen the lights also and no one was going to investigate in the middle of the night. The light where colored not clear.

A few day later I guess my father in law went to the area in the day time and had found cob webs or material like cotton candy texture hanging from the trees. If you touched it this material would disintegrate instantaneously.

He also had stated "their was a tingle left on your hand". His name was (name removed).

Bright UFO Shoots Off Across The Sky Over Tiverton Devon UK

Time:  Evening.

For your records: I saw a bright white light in the sky over Tiverton, Devon UK in 1981.

It moved in a straight line for a moment, then suddenly shot off to the North at right angles to its original path.
