Gliding Orange Objects Over Barrie Ontario

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 12:00 a.m.

Hi there, just reporting two flying/gliding orange globes/orbs, about 500-1000 feet from us in our home in Barrie, Ontario Canada at the stroke of midnight on New Years eve (technically 12:00 am, January 1st, 2011).

My husband and I saw them from our living room window. We were/are sober and amazed. These lights seemed to glide and hover at times, and not a sound was heard.

We had raced outside and saw them travel across the sky, from West to East, and we watched them for a least a minute. It was incredibly foggy, but these lights were very obvious, and didn't seem to be in a rush as they crossed the sky. Wow!

Sincerely.

Boomerang Winged UFO Spotted Over Pilot Butte Saskatchewan

Date: August 11/12 1997
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m. and 12:18 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Pilot Butte Saskatchewan.
Number of witnesses: 7 and 1.
Number of Objects: 1 and 1.
Shape of Objects: Boomerang wing.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: A lot happened afterwards too. The first night the object looked liked a scalloped wing, bright against the stars, high in the sky. Much, much bigger than a jet plane at a high altitude. No sound on either night.

The second night I was alone in my back yard. I was watching the Perseids meteor shower. (as we had been doing the night previously). It was very clear moonless night and the constellations could be seen clearly, Cassiopia especially. I was about to turn in for bed when the Northern Lights flared up in the distant north horizon. I went to my gate to get a better view, my yard at that time faced the open Prairies.

Something to the east of me caught my eye, I can only describe it as a gathering of a flock of black birds, this was only a few seconds, then this huge object sailed over my head. It was so low I could have thrown a rock at it and hit it easily. It was a pale gold/silver, champagne colour. (the colour of many cars these days.) It was just a huge wing, with protuberances all over it. They looked like upturned loaf tins, about 18ins long by about 10ins, very smooth and no corners.

It seemed odd that the object seemed to float like a fish in water, rather than something in air.

It made absolutely no sound, not even a hiss or a swish or anything. It was not an ultra light or a hang glider, I am sure of that. It seemed to hover over my head for several seconds, then it moved above the light standard at the corner of the block about 30 feet away, then like a flash it was gone at an incredible speed up north.

I ran into the house and locked the door and pushed something in front it. I had to laugh at myself for that. I immediately wrote down what I had seen and the time. It is seared on my memory anyway.

Next day I measured distances in my yard and ditch and road and figured that it was about 20-30 feet long and about 80-100 feet wide. I also tossed and waved paper and string around to see if they made any noise as they disturbed the air. They did. I phoned the airport at Regina, and they told me they had registered nothing and every craft has to have a transponder on it.

I contacted Moose Jaw airbase by letter and they said they had nothing out at that time. I contacted them again with a drawing and I got a phone call from the commander of the base. He said they had nothing like that flying and didn't know what it was, and if I saw it again to contact him. I never saw it again.

Strange things happened to my flowers etc, but I don't know if this had anything to do with the UFO. Since then I have been very interested in sightings, but I have never seen one reported like the ones we saw.
Thank you for listening. Happy New Year.

Bright Object Travels Across The Night Sky Over Nanaimo British Columbia (ISS Sighting)

Date: December 28, 2010
Time: 6:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I'm writing in response to your article at: http://canadaufo.blogspot.com/2010/12/ufo-bursts-into-light-and-still-hangs.html

Today, around 6:30pm, my wife and I saw something somehow similar to your observation.

As we were getting ready to go, I took the time to look at the sky and enjoy the stars before going in the car, when I spotted what seemed to be a satellite. Having watched hundreds of satellite before, I quickly concluded that this was different.

The speed was about 3 to 5 times faster and the brightness what many times stronger than the reflection I've seen from satellites. Actually, the object was brighter than any stars, like a large white star.

The trajectory of the object initially appeared straight, but after around a minute there was a very slight curve in it.

Everything lasted less than 3 minutes. The object's brightness finally faded away within less than ten seconds and enabled me to get a better idea of it’s size and shape.

When the object faded away, it looked more like an actual satellite before disappearing than a star, which gave the impression that the object was much smaller. Unfortunately, the object completely disappeared and could not be found after close observation.

We were unable to get any precise shape nor altitude. When I was younger, I had the chance to see many types of aircrafts, since my father was a pilot and an air traffic controller. But this is truly strange. If this was a satellite, the speed was absolutely tremendous and the brightness so great that it would imply some sort of large reflective area. Because of this and the shift in trajectory, I conclude it is not a satellite.

Moreover, the brightness cannot be easily explained if this was an aircraft, since it would have required a great deal of energy for no apparent reason but to be overly visible. In addition, no sounds were heard on this quiet evening.

There was no trace behind, resulting from the object. I'm tempted to believe this was a long range missile that "stopped" in flight (west to east), but how could it not leave a trace?

Hope this helps. Best regards.

4 Bright Orange Lights Seen From St. Clair Street Chatham Ontario

Date: December 27, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

I was wondering what those orange lights were, because I also saw them (yes them, there were four) on the same night December 27, 2010 at about 6 pm; so I Googled it and your site came up. So I thought I would tell you my experience. I was a riding passenger, front seat with my two friends in the car along St. Clair street in Chatham, on our way to Taco Bell when I noticed four bright orange lights sitting in the sky.

They were fairly large, around the size of a base ball, which I thought to be weird since normally a plane or helicopter is a few small blinking lights no bigger then a pencil point, and they sat maybe five blocks away from one another making an arching line in the sky. They merely just sat there, until we reached our destination and as we got out of the car and watched them as they slowly started to leave, following one another.

We watched them leave until they disappeared behind the trees and buildings, it was perplexing, yet amazing. I wish I knew what it was.

If you do happen to know more about this or know of other sightings like this one, would you mind sending the links or stories my way, because I really want to look more into this.
Thank you.

Bright Flash Large Bang Followed By A UFO Over South Central Edmonton Alberta

Date: December 27, 2010
Time: 9:50 p.m.

Location of Sighting: South Central Edmonton Alberta.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Upside down bowl shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were sitting in our outdoor hot tub when we saw a sharp bright flash in the sky to the west of our home in south central Edmonton. The flash was immediately followed by a very large bang. We witnessed a glowing spot on what appeared to be the bottom of a shape the color of the clouds.

The shape was like an upside down bowl and appeared at about 1000 feet in the air. It steadily moved southeast at what we estimate to be about 1000 mph and it took approximately 20 seconds to cross the sky from west to east. It almost seemed transparent like a wisp of a cloud. Neither of us have ever seen anything like it. At first we thought it was a firecracker or something exploding in the sky, but then spotted the shape itself. There were clouds in the sky, but at the time the area around the object was clear blue and there was little to no wind.

Four Orange Red Balls Of Light Over Thompson Manitoba

Date: December 24, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, there were actually 5 lights, each the size of a bright red star, that appeared for approximately 2 minutes. It kind of looked like the base of the big dipper shifted locations in the sky, when the lady I'm with and myself observed the objects moving in the sky. We have no idea what they were, but tried to rationalize them as something like a group of helicopters, or other aircraft able to hover and shift locations in the sky quickly.

Though I do have my doubts that something can move that quickly in the sky when I later observed the speed of a commercial plane in the sky (it wasn't close to what these things did.) Anyways, it must be something rational like 5 air force jets flying a Operation Santa Claus practice flight. Thompson does have a radar observation dome that monitors the sky. I'm sure there's a record of these aircrafts being there. I'm going to attempt to look into it when I return to work.
