Brian, I would like to report a UFO sighting that was extremely close to my position tonight. They don't get much closer than this! I'm outside at home in western Oshawa, sky watching tonight, facing west on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at about 11:20 pm. In the description of what I saw, was simply amazing. This roundish, white star object, flashing ever so slightly, moving along north of my position.
Here's the kicker, this object was very low, at about between 100-150 feet above the ground. The distance from myself and the object, would be also between 100-200 feet max. away. The speed of the object to guess, would be around 80-100 + mph. This object appeared to be flashing, and it's size would be 2-5 ft. in diameter. It's flight path was from the east to west, towards Whitby,Ontario. The object's light intensity was just like that of a star,whitish blue. It did appear to have a ever so slight, up and down movement (waving). I had only a window of about 3-4 seconds to view this star-like object. I recorded the time at exactly 11:26 pm EST. How much closer will "they" get. I please urge any other people, to report any similar sightings to this recent one I have encountered.

West Vancouver To Coquitlam, B.C. Strange Cloud & Fireball

Hi Brian, 08:57 - Aug. 20, Just after sunset, sky was still quite light towards the west, was just sitting here half watching TV and talking with my wife, all of a sudden she said, "what the heck is that". I looked over to Cyprus Bowl in West Vancouver where she was pointing but the only thing I could see was what appeared to be a dark gray contrail hanging in the sky and extending about half a mile to the south. She kept saying, look, look, its moving. I watched it more closely than realized she was right it was moving at a very high speed for a cloud. I took a look through my binoculars but it still just appeared to be a dark gray contrail.
Anyway within about 30 sec. to a minute, It traveled from over Cyprus Bowl to Heritage Mountain. In Coquitlam. All the time it maintained its shape, not spreading out like most contrails do, when being blown by the wind. Never seen clouds do that and I noticed the other clouds north of the mountains, all appeared to be going very slowly from east to west, not west to east. When it got over Heritage Mountain. It just seemed to fade away. Seconds later a very large meteorite or fireball appeared in the sky almost over our bldg. It headed north towards Heritage Mountain., before apparently burning out at almost the same spot in the sky where we last saw the contrail. I told my wife the contrail was probably from a Jet flying over earlier, but she insisted no.
That was the same thing she used to see in the skies over Fiji, going from the west towards the south. I repeated probably a Jet, she said "No its not" she used to see Jets flying over all the time and they were always white, not black or dark gray like this was. Wish I'd had the camera ready when the fireball went over it was spectacular and moving much slower than the usual meteorites we see.
The fire on Heritage Mountain. is out now but I still wonder what that white object was, you should have seen the way it just faded out as it resumed level flight. The sky conditions were still the same when the choppers came and they were flying all around the same area and the sky was clear, the only time I couldn't see them was when they either flew behind the mountain or dropped down behind the ridges apparently to get water.

Scarborough, Ontario A Long White Hooked Shaped Object

Today, on August 26, 2005, I was at my parents house in Scarborough.Ontario. At about between 2:00-2:30 pm, I noticed a strange long, white "hooked" shaped object. Viewing south of my position, it's altitude would be 2-3000 feet +. I could see the fluffy seeds flying with the wind.at a lower altitude,1000 feet less. This long white hooked shaped object remained stationary for about 30 seconds. Then amazing, when it made it's departure, it suddenly then, straightened out long in length, "horizontally straight". Then in a blink of the eye, it shot across directly west towards Toronto. The straitening act and speed departure did overwhelm me. This thing could bend, and stay stationary for my viewing. You do curse yourself, not having your camera at moments like this.

St. John New Brunswick Large Orange Ball

Date: August 13/14, 2005 Time: 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Message: I was not going to tell anyone. Myself and a friend saw something that could not be explain. There is a big Red Ball in the sky. It looked like a harvest Moon it moved across the sky then it stopped. went straight up, straight over, straight down, than it shrunk half it size. My friend was almost to her house and I yelled at her. Told her to look up it was over her head she described it looked like a Frisbee. Then it shrunk into a star and then it was gone. This was the 12 or the 13th of August nobody has reported this to the paper or the radio in my area. I live St. John New Brunswick Canada. I was doubtful about UFOs but there is absolutely no way to explain this. And if my neighbor had not seen it I would have never said a word. I would like to know if anybody seen anything like this before. Thanking you.

I will do the best I can. I am pretty sure it was August 13 around 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 14th. My neighbor was going home so I went out to lock my truck. As she was walking to her house I seen what I thought was the moon. I thought to myself it is awful late at night for bright orange moon. Then it started moving across the sky it was to the East.
So I yelled to my neighbor to look up. She looked back toward me and did not see nothing. She started to walk home again I yelled at her again this time she stared back down the driveway. She got about halfway down my driveway that's when I told her look up. When she look up she could not believe what she was seen it looked like it was directly over her. As we watched it, it shrunk into a star. It was a clear night with just a few clouds not around the object that's how come I couldn't tell how high it was. I could not hear a thing. We watched his thing which seemed like forever but if I had to guess I would say anywhere between two to five minutes.
There is an airport East of me but no plane or helicopter or glider or balloon couldn't move like this. Or shrink into a star at fast that quiet and that cool. There is a military base 60 to 80 miles to the North. But this is can Canada, are military couldn't have anything that moves like that. Last year I had some IQ test and other tests, one test was for commonsense. My score I was in the top 90% of the population for commonsense. If I had any reason to think this could be anything other than some from another world I would never tell anybody.
It was just like I was watching a movie with unbelievable effects that makes you believe the is movie real. I am 100% sure no one on this planet could make or fly in that kind of pattern. In these tests I had done they did find I had hard time remembering facts when I study. So I hope what I do remember helps you. The first time I wrote I said it was red but when you said Orange, that made more sense because I thought it was a harvest Moon which is orange. But I think it was a bright orange sorry that my memory is not that good. That is something I will remember all my life and hope someday to have a chance again.

Pitt Meadows, British Columbia Object Flashes A Golden Light

Hello there. I just wanted to share a .. sighting with you. I think at least that's what it was.
On, Thurs, Aug 25/2005 at about..10:30pm I saw something moving horizontally through the sky. My bedroom window has a clear view of the golden ears mountains here in Pitt Meadows. I have never before been sure if I've actually believed in this sort of thing before. But, this was amazing.. They were moving east across the sky.. I say they because there was two lights.. either two something's or one big something. I was squinting and couldn't remember where I put my binos. Every once in a while it would flash a lovely golden light of sorts but that maybe because the moon was large and orange that night and I suspect it was reflecting. The movement was erratic.. fast.. then slower.. then it would hover.. then it moved diagonal upwards.. I heard something in the driveway and ran to the other window to see.. it was a cat.. by the time I got back to my bedroom window.. it was gone.
Anyway, that's all I have for you.. wasn't even sure if I should report it but there you go for what it's worth.
